Raymond Harold Flaskamper (October 31, 1901 - February 3, 1978) was a Major League Baseball shortstop. He played in 26 games for the Chicago White Sox in . In March 1929 Flaskamper was sold by the San Antonio Bears to the Dallas Steers for $7,500.

A Chicago Cubs affiliate team, they were based in Clinton, Iowa and played its home games at Riverview Stadium. The Clinton squad prevailed during their short stint in the league, winning both the pennant title and the championship series in both seasons. They were renamed as the Clinton Steers for the 1949 season.

Riverside Park was a baseball park located in Dallas, TX and was the home to many black baseball teams that existed in Dallas over the course of segregated baseball as well as the Dallas Black Giants of the Texas Colored League and later on, the Texas-Oklahoma-Louisiana League. The park was just a few blocks away from Burnett Field, and left and center fields, on the bank of the Trinity River, were in play. The park was also used by the Texas League Dallas Steers for one game the day after a fire destroyed Gardner Park on July 19, 1924.

In 1851 Commodore John Cox Stevens, a charter member of the fledgling New York Yacht Club (NYYC), formed a six-person syndicate to build a yacht with intention of taking her to England and making some money competing in yachting regattas and match races. The syndicate contracted with pilot boat designer George Steers for a schooner, which was christened America and launched on 3 May 1851. On 22 August 1851, America raced against 15 yachts of the Royal Yacht Squadron in the Club's annual regatta around the Isle of Wight. America won, finishing 8 minutes ahead of the closest rival.

After spending most of the 1928 season as player-manager of the Ogden Gunners in the Class C Utah-Idaho League, Baker moved to the Class A Texas League and caught for the Fort Worth Panthers in 1929. In 1930 he was appointed player-manager of the Beaumont Exporters, a premier Texas League team with some of Detroit's top prospects, including Schoolboy Rowe, Pete Fox, and Hank Greenberg. The Exporters won 100 games in 1932, then swept the Dallas Steers for the Texas League championship. When Detroit manager Bucky Harris promoted Rowe, Fox, and Greenberg to the major league level in 1933, he hired Baker to coach third base for the Tigers.
