The nearly 2,000 Vitaphone short subjects produced by Warner Bros. and its sister studio First National from 1926 to 1930 included vaudevillians, opera singers, Broadway stars, dancers, bands and popular vocalists. One and two-reel short musical films were valuable to the movie studios as springboards for new talents. Performers who made their film debuts in short films include Joan Blondell, Humphrey Bogart, Burns and Allen, Sammy Davis Jr., Judy Garland (as Baby Gumm), Cary Grant, Bob Hope, Bert Lahr and Ginger Rogers.

In March 2002, Nicolas Bourriaud and Jérôme Sans launched the Site de création contemporaine in the west wing of Palais de Tokyo. Endowed with a restricted operating budget, but run by a brilliant and committed team, it soon became simply known as Palais de Tokyo, quickly making its mark as a trendsetter in the art world. Marc-Olivier Wahler directed the Palais de Tokyo from 2006 to 2012. Under Wahler's leadership, the Palais de Tokyo became one of the city's best springboards for young artists.

Rick Swan reviewed Van Richten's Guide to Ghosts for Dragon magazine #186 (October 1992). Swan comments: "One of the better Ravenloft supplements, this volume provides workable suggestions for incorporating the incorporeal into gothic horror campaigns." The Indiana University Outdoor Pool serves as the team's training facility in the summer months.

The gameplay is split into seven levels, each of which contains three parts: two normal levels; and a boss fight. In normal levels, players must reach the treasure chest at the end of the stage, while using features such as springboards and boost pads, and avoiding obstacles such as robots, spikes, and bottomless pits. The baths suffered severe damage during the war, primarily from bombs aimed at the nearby railway line – an aerial mine caused the diving tower to collapse. After the war, the British military government had the baths restored; from August 1947 they were usable again. The increasingly dilapidated and dated condition of the baths led to considerable renovation works in the 1990s. The Lagoon was approached along a grass-lined entrance drive, On the other side of the road is a small stream, a tributary to the Hogsmill, and in front the whitewashed entrance with fittings picked out in bright blue paint. Stewart originated the role of "Graffiti Pete" in the musical In the Heights. He appeared in the original production, which premiered Off-Broadway at 37 Arts in January 2007 in previews. The warehouse where the parts are kept is a maze-like building through which the player must navigate. There are multiple levels and the only ways to travel between them are to be blown by vents, jump off springboards, or jump off trampolines (to move up) or to walk off a ledge (to move down.) There is also a "front" (where the player can see the whole warehouse and few boxes are generally visible) and a "back" (which is a small portion of the front where the majority of boxes are.) They are separated by doors. Doors begin locked and can only be unlocked by solving a science- related puzzle. Once unlocked the player can move back and forth freely through that door.

The Russo-Circassian War (1763–1864) involved a series of battles and wars in Circassia, the northwestern part of the Caucasus, during the course of the Russian Empire's conquest of the Caucasus. Those who use the term Russian–Circassian War take its starting date as 1763, when the Russians began establishing forts, including at Mozdok, to be used as springboards for conquest; Henze 1992 and only ending approximately 101 years later, with the signing of loyalty oaths by Circassian leaders on . The alternative term used, the Caucasian War, commonly refers only to the period 1817–1864. The Russo- Circassian War was the western phase of the Caucasus War of 1817–1864, during which Russia gained control of the free mountaineers of the Caucasus mountains.

Scattered around acts are springboards, boost pads, and golden rings, which serve as a form of health; players survive hits as long as they have at least one ring, but their rings will scatter and disappear after a short period. Players collect canisters that contain power-ups such as speed shoes, elemental shields, and invincibility. The more moderate climate meant that the winter snow roads could not be used and instead necessitated the use of log skid roads. Georgia swept the relays, the first team in NCAA history to accomplish that feat. In 2006, the NCAAs went down to the wire, with Auburn edging the Lady Bulldogs for the national title. Even so, Georgia recorded eight individual national champs and claimed the SEC title. During the struggle for independence, before Peru or Ecuador became independent nations, a few areas of the former Vice Royalty of New Granada - Guayaquil, Tumbez, and Jaén - declared themselves independent from Spain. A few months later, a part of the Peruvian liberation army of San Martin decided to occupy the independent cities of Tumbez and Jaén with the intention of using these towns as springboards to occupy the independent city of Guayaquil and then to liberate the rest of the Audiencia de Quito (Ecuador). It was common knowledge among the top officers of the liberation army from the south that their leader San Martin wished to liberate present- day Ecuador and add it to the future republic of Peru, since it had been part of the Inca Empire before the Spaniards conquered it. However, Bolívar's intention was to form a new republic known as the Gran Colombia, out of the liberated Spanish territory of New Granada which consisted of Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
