Robert Ferdinandovich Fulda (), born 18 April 1873, died 16 February 1944, was a Russian sports enthusiast who is considered as the "pioneer of Russian sport". He was born into a family of German merchants, who emigrated to Russia in the mid-19th century. He is famous for treating Pullela Gopichand and helping him get back on the court when the badminton player suffered a career threatening knee injury while playing doubles at the 1994 National Games at Pune. It is reported that on realizing Gopichand's inability to pay the fees, Rajgopal, a sports enthusiast, waived the fees and asked for an All England title in return.

A native of Vancouver, Jon Thor, an avid historian and sports enthusiast, resurrected the Vancouver Millionaires hockey team, Vancouver's only Stanley Cup champions who won the cup in 1915. For 1930, motor sports enthusiast Eugène Azemar, who was involved with the Tourist Board in Saint- Gaudens in southern France, succeeded in persuading the Automobile Club du Midi to arrange a Grand Prix race in the region. Laying out a triangular, Le Mans-type track, the circuit became known as the Circuit de Morlaas. Hoping to run the race to the International Formula, when the response was poor the event was postponed and changed to a Formula Libre event instead. The new date meant that the Italian teams were unable to attend, leaving it to be mostly an internal French affair with sixteen Bugattis, two Peugeots and a Delage among the twenty five starters.

Andrew John Reed (born 17 September 1964) is a British Labour Co-operative politician who was the Member of Parliament for the key marginal Constituency of Loughborough from 1997 to 2010. Reed was awarded the OBE in June 2012 for service to the community and sport in Leicestershire. He is a notable sports enthusiast, a fortuitous coincidence as "Loughborough is home to the most comprehensive sports development programme of any University," as well as being headquarters for Team GB's 2012 Olympic preparation, whose requirements Reed became familiar with under the Parliamentary Sports Fellowship Scheme. Although regarded as a loyal MP, Reed was the first member of the Government to resign over the invasion of Iraq.

From 2005–2007, Bundy partnered with fellow Penn State faculty member and sports enthusiast Jon Nese on the popular radio program Let's Talk Penn State. A Japanese teen named Yamato Hino, a young sports enthusiast, during a quiet and ordinary day begins to feel strange calls from an indefinite dimension. The devout prayers of the king and the princess are heard: the boy arrives to the dimension of Mu and the statue suddenly becomes alive.

Rocket Power revolves around the day-to-day adventures of a gang of four young friends; the adventurous and vain sports enthusiast and perfectionist: Oswald "Otto" Rocket (Joseph Ashton); his tomboyish and kindhearted older sister: Regina "Reggie" Rocket (Shayna Fox); the brainy newcomer and techno whiz kid: Sam "Squid" Dullard (Sam Saletta in Season 1; Gary LeRoi Gray in Seasons 2–3; Sean Marquette in Season 4); and the dim-witted but loyal videographer: Maurice "Twister" Rodriguez (Ulysses Cuadra in Seasons 1–3; Gilbert Leal in Season 4) — who live in the fictional beach community of Ocean Shores, California, where they spend their free time playing extreme sports (such as Skateboarding, Surfing, Snowboarding, Biking, Street Hockey, etc.), getting into various situations and overcoming the trials and challenges of growing up. Otto and Reggie live with their strict-but-loving dad, Ray "Raymundo" Rocket (John Kassir), who along with his best friend and business partner, retired surfer and self- styled philosopher Tito Makani (Ray Bumatai), owns and operates the Shore Shack, a restaurant and surf shop where the gang usually hang out. In most episodes, they get involved in competitions, but end up learning that their friendship is more important than winning.
