In 2013, WEA is credited with saving the lives of 29 children at a soccer camp in Connecticut, whose sports dome was blown away by a tornado moments after the manager received a warning on her phone and rushed the kids to safety.

The Red Ball Internet Centre is part of the CN Sportplex, which also consists of 10 ballfields, six soccer fields and an indoor air supported multipurpose sports dome (The Dundee Sports Dome).

Located at Diamond Nation are the HealthQuest Fitness Club, and the HealthQuest Sports Dome. The Fitness Club was founded in 2001 and, open year round, is one of the top fitness clubs in the entire world with 104,000 square feet. The 140,000 square foot Sports Dome was built in 2003 and was the largest air structure in the United States until it collapsed during a snow storm in winter 2015. The field it was built over is still there, known as the Jack Cust Baseball Academy.

In 2007, Chula Vista constructed a new sports dome just south of the resort complex. It is home to many sports finals and events in Wisconsin and the Midwest. Also, concerts, indoor football, and trade shows take place at the Wisconsin Dells Center.

Formerly called Lancer Stadium was opened in 1971. And has been remodeled multiple times in its history. Including new bleachers added in late 1990s, terf added in 2011. The turf was donated after the sports dome in Muncy, Pennsylvania collapsed after large amounts of snow on the roof caused the collapse.

In addition, the stadium was equipped with a practice field, a small sports dome, 900 parking spaces and was surrounded by a park. The stadium was also connected to a nearby bus station and a railway station opened specifically for the transport of spectators. Soon after its opening, it became Poland's national stadium.

Also on site is the Dundee Sports Dome, a large air supported structure which offers paintball, golf, soccer and football.

Qatar spent US$2.8 billion on preparing venues, including a major upgrade to the 50,000-seat Khalifa Stadium from its original 20,000-seat capacity and the construction of the Aspire indoor sports complex, the world's largest indoor multi-sports dome and the athletes' village which turned into a part of Hamad Medical City which equipped with hospitals and laboratories after the games.

Other work included construction of a sports dome, chapel extension, courtyard, Sports Hall and Gym refurbishment, as well as major development work on the Library or Learning Resources Centre (LRC) which has three floors. The Jamboree site is a flat land with an area of 2.8 km north to south by 1 km east to west. There is a natural park on the site, where wildlife living on Kirarahama is preserved. Millions of wild birds visit Kirarahama every year. In addition, the site is equipped with water supply and sewage systems, as well as a sports dome and a swimming pool that were used for programs.

In 2003, the Learning Centre at the heart of the campus, which is named after the science- fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke, a former pupil of Huish's Grammar School, was extended and completely refurbished. In 2006 the sports dome was opened, which at the time was a ground breaking project for an inflatable dome for sports. It is due to be replaced during 2016, by a sports hall, including a viewing area, gym, changing facilities and a classroom. During 2015, a new cafe area and social space was built, including the first floor Redwood Suite.

The next three seasons, OU scored more than 100 points 30 times, winning 29 of those games. Oakland played at the Division II level until 1997 when they changed their nickname to the Golden Grizzlies and began the transition to Division I. OU opened the Athletics Center O'rena in 1998 against Michigan State. When the O'rena was being built, home basketball games were played in the Sports Dome, an inflatable "bubble" used for practice by Oakland's athletic teams during the winter. The original basketball stadium was in the Hollie L. Lepley Sports Center.

The Pitt women's lacrosse club team that plays in Division 1 of Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) as a member of the East division of the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL). The club was founded in 1992 and plays home games in the Pitt Sports Dome. Since its founding, Pitt has won the WCLL six times (2006, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2019) and has advanced to the WCLA national championship tournament thirteen times (2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), which was highlighted by winning WCLA Division 1 National Championships in 2014 and 2019 and finishing as the national runner up in 2017.

Chartered October 1, 2011, the Kin Club of Russell is part of Kin Canada. The club has been very active in a relatively short period of time and has completed the following projects; Russell Winter Carnival, Poutmasters (a local fishing derby for mudpout), Reality Tour (drug awareness program for high schools), RocKIN' Away With Diamonds (a '50s and '60s dance), Marchons Pour Jonathan Pitre Butterfly Mile, Catch the Ace lottery and Trivia Nights. Its biggest contribution so far has been consulting and fundraising for the new Russell Township 4.8 million dollar Sports Dome, opened January 8, 2018. The Club meets once a month and consists of both men and women.

Both Nord Anglia schools host a wide range of facilities including a library, a gymnasium, a football pitch, tennis and basketball courts, and indoor sports dome. There is a theatre in each school, and a 230-seat amphitheatre in the Shunyi school. The Shunyi school also hosts tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, fitness suite, dance studio, dedicated music rooms plus numerous private practice rooms, computer music suites, a recording studio, ICT suites, a Lego robotics lab, science laboratories and art studios. The Sanlitun school uses an Astroturf play area, and it has a football (soccer) pitch on the roof. Mansell wrote that the Sanlitun campus "is said by the school to have a “cosy” family feel".

Oakland University's student union, the Oakland Center, was renovated and expanded in 2018. The Oakland Center houses the offices of student organizations, a large food court with multiple restaurants, the student bookstore, a cafe, a pool hall and gaming center, a Student Technology Center, the campus newspaper The Oakland Post, computer labs, conference rooms, as well as the offices of the university radio station, WXOU (88.3 FM). Oakland University also has its own television station (OU TV) which is broadcast on-campus and to the local community. The campus has recreational facilities for intramural sports and for Oakland University's 16 NCAA Division I athletic teams, including the lighted Upper Athletic Fields, the indoor Sports Dome, fields for varsity baseball, softball, and soccer, and facilities for basketball, handball, track, and weight training.

Rosemont is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Located immediately northwest of Chicago, as of the 2010 census it had a population of 4,202. The village was incorporated in 1956, though it had been settled long before that. While Rosemont's land area and population are relatively small among municipalities in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, the village is a major center for commercial activity in the region and is a key component of the Golden Corridor. Due to its proximity to several interstates, O'Hare International Airport, and downtown Chicago, it has emerged as a significant edge city and entertainment district, with corporate facilities, millions of square feet of office space, nearly 50 restaurants, 15 hotels, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (home to conventions and trade shows), the 16,000+ seat Allstate Arena (home to the Chicago Wolves, Chicago Sky, DePaul Blue Demons until 2017, and concerts and other live entertainment events), the 4,000+ seat Rosemont Theatre, the 130-store Fashion Outlets of Chicago, the Rosemont Stadium (home to an outdoor collegiate-level baseball stadium and 140,000 sq ft indoor sports dome), and the entertainment complex Parkway Bank Park, which features restaurants, entertainment and a large common area used for summer concerts and ice skating in the winter.
