Spare Me Records was an independent record label based in Williamsburg, New York, active between 1996 and 2002. It specialized in supporting and internationally releasing albums by local (i.e., New York) talent, but released work by non-locals, as well. Spare Me released music by such artists as M Coast, Pumpernickel, Gem w/Jenny Mae, Sinkcharmer, Bevis Frond, The Original Sins, Swearing at Motorists, Espadrille, and The Gerbils.
Swimmeret was the debut album of Espadrille, whose members were Alice Cohen (formerly of The Vels and Die Monster Die), instrumentalist Bill Miller, and drummer John Flack. "Swimmeret" was issued in 2001 under the Spare Me Records label.
"Spare Me the Details" is a song by American punk rock band the Offspring. The song is featured as the tenth track from their seventh studio album, Splinter (2003), and was released as a single in 2004 in Australia and New Zealand only.
Only the initial phrases of this passage are found in the original full score, and the section which begins with the Queen's phrase Hélas! Dieu m'épargne la honte - "Alas! may God spare me the shame" is marked as a possible cut. The scoring of the remainder of the duet was thought lost.

Spare Me was screened at Anthology Film Archives, Cinemac , Cinémathèque Française, Coolidge Corner Theatre, Deutsche Kinemathek, Harvard Film Archive, Hirshhorn Museum, IFP Market, Kansas State University, Kino Arsenal Berlin, Millennium Film Workshop , Pacific Film Archive, Projected Images of Hudson County, Putnam Screening Room and the Shooting Gallery in New York City. The film was licensed on video in the US and overseas.
When Adrian Pracon testified about his meeting with Breivik at Utøya, he looked steadfastly at the defendant, even when answering questions from the prosecutor. Spare Me is a 1992 film directed by Matthew Harrison and starring Lawton Paseka and Christie MacFadyen. Harrison's feature film directorial debut, the 16mm feature was made for less than $80,000 US and won awards at the Rome Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, Long Island Film Festival and others. Harrison used the cash award from a prize at the Avignon Film Festival to make his second feature, the Sundance Jury Prize winning Rhythm Thief.
Driver went on to release several more solo albums after Warm Is Your Color. A Kinda Love This World Could Never Burn, his next, was released on April 12, 2011, on Talkback Records. His single off the album, "Spare Me Some Change", led to Driver being a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Award for Folk in 2011. Later that year, he released the EP Coffee House Hero: Live & Rare Acoustic B-Sides on Interscope Digital Distribution.

In February 1996 the song reached number one in Iceland, staying at the summit for four weeks. The song addresses the aftermath of a summer love affair which ended badly, leaving the narrator "sick and tired". In the chorus, the narrator addresses her former lover, suggesting that "you can always say you did no major harm", before immediately rejecting such a notion with "oh spare me if you please". All of the B-sides from both issues of the single were later included on the compilation The Other Side of the Moon.
In her tenement on Bleecker Street, Annina has visions of Jesus Christ and wakes up to find stigmata on her hands ("Oh sweet Jesus, spare me the agony"). The neighbors and Don Marco, the neighborhood priest, believe that she is a saint with healing powers, but her protective brother Michele makes them leave and declares that her visions are simply the evidence of illness. Annina discovers to her dismay that her friend Carmela is going to be married instead of becoming a nun with Annina. Meanwhile, Michele has forbidden Annina from attending the annual Feast of San Gennaro.
The next year she is described as invalid, but her husband attended with family and many friends, distributing 'tokens of goodwill', along with roast beef and plum-pudding, plus strong beer at 'the usual Christmas dinner'. In 1972, six months after the release of Future Games, the band released their sixth studio album, Bare Trees. Mostly composed by Kirwan, Bare Trees featured the Welch- penned single "Sentimental Lady", which would be a much bigger hit for Welch five years later when he re-recorded it for his solo album French Kiss, backed by Mick Fleetwood and Christine McVie. Bare Trees also featured "Spare Me a Little of Your Love", a bright Christine McVie song that became a staple of the band's live act throughout the early to mid-1970s. While the band was doing well in the studio, their tours started to be problematic.

Their lyrics cover a wide range of topics, like personal relationships, such as in their songs "She's Got Issues", "Self Esteem" and "Spare Me the Details", and the degradation of the United States, politics, and society in general with songs like "It'll Be a Long Time", "Americana" and "Stuff Is Messed Up". The lyrics generally reflect a sarcastic viewpoint, which, along with the language, can be offensive to some. This is acknowledged in the opening track from their album Ixnay on the Hombre, "Disclaimer", which is sarcastic itself. Like "Disclaimer", the first track of most of the Offspring's albums are an introduction of some sort; "Time to Relax" (from Smash), "Welcome" (from Americana), "Intro" (from Conspiracy of One), and "Neocon" (from Splinter) are also examples of this.
Rhythm Thief is a 1994 low budget independent feature film made in New York City’s Lower East Side that was awarded a Special Jury Recognition for Directing at the Sundance Film Festival and was called “Inventive, exciting, original” by director Martin Scorsese. Dan Brenner (born Daniel Abraham Brenner, December 19, 1963) is an American composer, musician, and psychiatrist. Brenner was a member of the band Magnet, with Moe Tucker (former drummer in the Velvet Underground) in the late 1990s, and of the rap/performance-art band Razor Magnet with his brother, filmmaker Evan Brenner from 1985-1988. He was a member of the Boston bands Green Fuse and Gunga Din in the early 1990s, and prior to that, while a student at Harvard College, The Love Monsters. Brenner has written the scores for three feature films, including Rhythm Thief (Special Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival, 1995), Spare Me (Priz Tournage winner Avignon Film Festival, 1993), and The Riddle (a.k.a. Sasha’s Riddle, winner Long Island Film Festival, 2010, official selection Toronto Film Festival 1997).
Abu Talib ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib held significant power in Mecca as the head of the Banu Hashim, and this protection made it impossible to have Muhammad silenced or subjected to the kind of torture meted out against the Muslims without protection. The polytheist Meccan leaders approached Abu Talib again and insisted he put a stop to his nephew, Muhammad's preaching of monotheism (), warning that otherwise he would be faced with severe hostility. Their enmity and open threats of a breach between Abu Talib's clan, the Banu Hashim and the rest of the Banu Quraish distressed Abu Talib who was aware of the cost that his nephew Muhammad had to pay if deserted . Abu Talib sent for Muhammad and told him the news, "Spare me and yourself and put not burden on me that I can’t bear".
