Pac-Man Entertainment, formerly known as Level 257, is a contemporary American restaurant and video arcade located at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. The restaurant and entertainment destination is inspired by Pac-Man and the name refers to the famous kill screen, which occurs when the player reaches the 256th level of the original Pac-Man game, meaning "the next level of dining and entertainment". It is owned by Bandai Namco, which also owns all Pac-Man-related intellectual property. The restaurant celebrated its soft opening on March 2, 2015, and its grand opening in April 2015.

Established by retired wrestler Sam DeCero in 1988, the promotion was one of several major regional territories in the Midwest during the late 1980s and among the oldest independent organizations in the United States until its last show in December 2010. In November 2015, WCPW was trademarked by former Windy City Pro Wrestling wrestler Bigtime (James K. Duck) and slowly re-opened, based out of DeKalb, Illinois. A new logo and new merchandise were created and a soft opening show took place in January 2018.

The XD Cinema is a 4D theater located at the IMAX lobby at the ground floor, opened on November 25, 2014 on soft opening equipped with strategically located 48 pneumatic controlled seats that highlight the immersive nature of the theater while maintaining an exclusive ambiance to delight the audience, it has enormous in- theatre effects including snow, wind, water, scent, fog, and strobe/lightings. In 2019, the new Terminal 1 at King Abdulaziz International Airport had a soft opening with a number of domestic flights transferred to operate from it. In late 1987, Atkinson-Dillingham was forced to remove steel beams used for temporary shoring at the station box after unknowingly sourcing it from South Africa. Metro later acquired South African black granite to be used in the station's platform and mezzanine, which was discovered and returned; the incident resulted in the resignation of Metro's executive director, amid outcry from African American leaders. Tunnel construction was completed in June 1990, and was celebrated with a soft opening of Pioneer Square station and the re-opening of Prefontaine Park.

Jewel was conceived to maintain Changi Airport's status as a major aviation hub in the Asia-Pacific. It was first mentioned by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Rally speech in 2013 as part of Changi Airport's long-term plans to double its capacity by the mid-2020s and "create more opportunities for Singapore and Singaporeans". Built over the former open-air car park in front of Changi Airport Terminal 1, Jewel expanded Terminal 1's arrival hall and baggage claim areas by 70%, and its handling capacity is also expected to increase from 21 to 24 million passengers a year. Jewel was officially opened on 18 October 2019 by Lee Hsien Loong, six months after its soft opening.

Utah Valley Express, also known as UVX, is a (bus rapid transit, or "BRT") line in central Utah County, Utah, United States. The line is operated by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and runs between southwest Orem to south central Provo by way of Utah Valley University (UVU) and Brigham Young University (BYU). It began service with a soft opening on August 13, 2018 while the station platforms were being finished and was formally opened on January 9, 2019 with several dignitaries in attendance including BYU President Kevin J. Worthen, Provo mayor Michelle Kaifusi, UVU President Astrid S. Tuminez, Orem mayor Richard Brunst, and mascots Cosmo the Cougar and Willy the Wolverine. It is the second of several BRT lines that UTA has or is planning in Utah County and the Salt Lake Valley.

The 42x45 meter hangar, located on the southwest of the Reina Beatrix International Airport, was welcomed with a soft opening on 13 July 2012, and is capable of handling an aircraft with the wingspan of a Boeing 737-500 and the maximum load of a Boeing 737-400, and during the opening, Tiara Air Aruba's own Boeing 737-300 was towed into the hangar effortlessly. The hangar is equipped with a system of fire suppression consisting of both sprinklers and foam under pressure which is automatically activated in case of fire. While Talmadge’s primary medium is painting, and she also designs elaborate interior environments for her work. Her 2018 New York solo show 1076 Madison (at 56 HENRY, NY) consisted of eight paintings of the venerable Frank E. Campbell funeral home, which since 1898 has laid to rest prominent New Yorkers from Rudolph Valentino to Aaliyah. The artist’s mournful pointillist exteriors of the landmark building were displayed in a gallery redesigned to mimic the funeral chapel’s interior, with green silk walls, crown moldings, and gray pile carpet. The exhibition later traveled to Frank E. Campell Funeral Chapel. In Talmadge's Four Courtroom Outfits of Anna Delvey (Soft Opening, London, 2019), a purpose-built robotic arm hidden behind a painted five-panel dressing screen tosses items of clothing worn during infamous con-artist Anna Delvey’s courtroom appearances in an endless cycle of cartoon “quick changes.” Her 2017 debut solo show, Leaves of Absence (56 HENRY), consisted of life-sized photographs of meticulously styled sets depicting celebrity rehabs alongside an architectural installation reconstructing a fragment of an imagined room from McLean Hospital.

Due to the increased demand of IKEA products, the store was relocated to Mutiara Damansara on August 14, 2003 which was bigger than the previous store and also becoming the largest IKEA store in Asia-Pacific during that time until it was surpassed by another store in Gwangmyeong, South Korea in 2014. A covered bridge linking between Old Wing and New Wing were opened during mall soft opening on December 13, 2003 As the mall experienced unprecedented growth which resulted in increased demand for retail spaces, the director of See Hoy Chan Holdings Group, Teo Chiang Kok, considered expanding the mall by building the second phase which is known as New Wing in order to further accommodate the increasing numbers of customers and retail lots which would cost RM300 million and increased the retail lot from 220 units to 600 units.

Under the plan, Saracens would redevelop the stadium into a modern facility with 3,000 permanent seats. De-mountable stands would allow a capacity of 10,000 for rugby matches whilst retaining the stadium's ability to host athletics events. Finally, the plans called for the use of an artificial pitch, the first in English rugby union. Since final approval from Barnet Council was still required in May 2011, Saracens and Watford agreed to a one- season extension of the groundshare agreement. The project was approved in February 2012. The stadium opened in January 2013, after Saracens began the 2012–13 season as a nomadic club, using six different venues for home matches across all competitions (Twickenham, Wembley, Vicarage Road, Stadium MK, Goldington Road and King Baudouin Stadium). On 25 January 2013, the newly renovated ground had its "soft opening", hosting its first Saracens match against the Cardiff Blues with Saracens winning 19-11 in the LV=Cup before a crowd limited to 3,500. The new artificial pitch was reported to be very good after the game. The full opening came on 16 February, with Saracens defeating Exeter Chiefs 31–11 in a Premiership match before a capacity crowd of 10,000.

Social and Print Media Manager Heather Hust Rivera from Disneyland Resort confirmed this on the DisneyParks Blog and stated that Honey, I Shrunk the Audience! would be closing. That attraction hosted its final public showing in the Magic Eye Theater at midnight on January 4, 2010 to make way for the Michael Jackson film's return. The attraction reopened at Disneyland on February 23, 2010. The attraction returned to Discoveryland at Disneyland Park (Paris) on June 12, 2010, returned to Epcot at Walt Disney World on July 2, and to Tokyo Disneyland on July 1. At Epcot, the film had a "soft opening" (actual opening to the public prior to the official opening) on June 30, 2010, two days prior to its official reopening. The attraction was billed as "Captain EO Tribute" to distinguish the presentation of the film from its original 1986–1997 run. The new presentation made use of existing in-theatre special effects held over from Honey, I Shrunk the Audience!, but many of the original "4-D" effects such as the enormous fiber-optic "starfield" wall along with smoke and lasers were removed from the building at the show's first closing, and were not returned for the revived presentation.

Fresh & Easy market in Las Vegas, Nevada Fresh & Easy announced in October 2007 that the first California and Arizona stores would open November 8. However, on November 1, 2007, Fresh & Easy opened its first store, in Hemet, California, as a "soft opening". (Soft openings are traditionally done in the retail business to test systems and store staff, and prepare for a larger "grand opening.") The Hemet store, near the company's distribution center, along with five others in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, then had their "grand opening" on November 8, 2007.First Fresh & Easy Grocery Store Trades post bankruptcy Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market employed 20 to 30 associates per store. Part-time employees were paid a starting hourly wage of $10 USD per hour. Those store employees who work at least 20 hours per week received a health insurance plan, which they also contributed to. Assistant managers, called Team Leaders, were paid $13 hour (California). In Arizona, each of these positions were paid US$1 per hour less. From April until the end of June 2008, Fresh & Easy took a pause from opening any new stores. That hiatus was lifted with the July 2, 2008 opening of a store in Manhattan Beach, California. As of October 5, 2011, there were 182 stores in Arizona, California, and Nevada.
