As of 2014, Barrington High School offered 14 varsity sports for boys and 15 varsity sports for girls. Speedaway pronounced (speed -‘A’-way ball) is a game composed of 11 players on each team that combines soccer, football, and basketball. Originally created by Physical Education teacher Marjorie A. Larsen. Although there is no official league, Speedaway is played in physical education classes 6th-12th grade worldwide. When players are well versed in the game, there’s a constant movement of the ball between feet and hands on a huge pitch either indoor or outdoor.

Spire Institute and Academy is a preparatory boarding school and sports training destination in Harpersfield Township, Ohio, United States, near Geneva. There are plans to add a new training hub called SPIRE East in Middle River, Maryland. The sports academy offers a professional preparatory experience for the sports of basketball, swimming and track and field. Bob Guelker (June 26, 1923 – February 22, 1986) was an American soccer coach and administrator. He coached 24 years at the collegiate level, including coaching St. Louis University to five championships (1959, 1960, 1962, 1963, 1965). He coached the U.S. teams at both the 1971 Pan American Games and the 1972 Summer Olympics. He was president of the United States Soccer Football Association from 1967 to 1969 and is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
Central High sports include cross country, volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, wrestling, Scholastic Bowl, One Act, track, tennis, softball, baseball, and forensics. It has consistently seen success in both its sports and its activities. Central won the VHSL 2A state championship in girls basketball in 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19. The United States Soccer Football Federation selected Jeffrey to coach the United States men's national soccer team at the 1950 FIFA World Cup just two weeks before the competition after Erno Schwarz declined the position. The area's major sporting ground is Pratten Park, home of the Western Suburbs grade cricket club in summer and used by the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association in winter. There are also tennis courts and a bowling club adjacent to the main oval. Thirning Villa, located within the park, is home to the Ashfield District Historical Society and an artist in residence sponsored by the local council. The other sporting field in the area is at Hammond Park on Frederick Street.
The St. Louis Frogs were an American soccer club. Clubs must remain playing members in good standing within their leagues from the date of the open division entry deadline through the date of the U.S. Open Cup Final in order to be eligible to compete in the U.S. Open Cup. Since El Farolito left the San Francisco Soccer Football League to join the NPSL, the club became ineligible for the 2018 U.S. Open Cup.
Tahmoor has sporting fields, a skate and BMX park, a community function centre owned by the Country Women's Association, and a Rural Fire Service. The original location of the Bushfire Brigade (as it was then known) was an old hay shed, which was donated to the brigade. Morley Windmills 2013 squad The roots of Morley Windmills lay in the informal games of football organised by newly arrived Dutch immigrants, lead by Henk Beumer, in 1950. These games of football were enjoyed the Dutch community on Sundays and were combined with other social outings, including picnics. Following a discussion at the Dutch Club in King Street, Perth, it was agreed to form Windmills Soccer Club. In March, 1950, Windmills applied for entry into the Western Australian Soccer Football Association.

Port Byron was a powerhouse in football throughout the career of legendary coach Gino Alberici, a 32-year veteran at the school, who retired in 1993. Alberici began his career on the 1953 undefeated football team at Auburn High School and was named to the All-American football team that same year. A variety of sports are offered at the high school including: Boys and girls cross country, boys and girls track, boys and girls soccer, football, cheerleading, Lady Bucks volleyball, baseball, softball, gymnastics, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, boys and girls golf, and bowling. However, these sports are not free, but there is a fee that is required to participate. The amounts were set in the 2010–2011 school year and have remained constant since then.

Commercial Field is an athletic field located in the Wingate neighborhood of Brooklyn. It was home to the Commercial High School soccer, football, and baseball teams from around 1906. Flushing Fields is a public park in the northern section of the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, New York. The site of this park was purchased by the Memorial Field of Flushing Corporation in 1921 at what was at the time open farmland. From its beginning, the park served as the home field for the softball, soccer, football and track teams from Flushing High School. The name of the park and monument at its southern section honor residents of Flushing killed in the First World War.
In a controversial decision, league officials awarded Erie A.A. the title even though Bethlehem Steel had one more point. The 1904–05 Christian Brothers Cadets men's soccer team represented the Christian Brothers College High School (then known as college) during the 1904–05 college soccer season. The team, along with Haverford were declared co-champions by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football League. Additionally, the program was selected to participate as the local representative in the soccer tournament at the 1904 Summer Olympics in November. In the Olympics, the program earned the silver medal after losing to Canadian club, Galt, and defeating American club, St. Rose Parish.

The Fords are coached by Zach Ward. The Fords have the distinction of winning the first three Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association national championships, the unofficial national championship that served as the predecessor to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship from 1905 until 1958. The 1904-05 team is considered by some to be the first organized collegiate national championship to be won by a program. The team would continue their early 20th century success before winning the ISFA titles in 1906, 1907, 1911 and 1918.

The Women's Cross Country team became the first women's team at Hopkins to achieve a #1 National ranking. In 2006–2007 teams won Centennial Conference titles in Baseball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Tennis and Men's Basketball.
The 1946 North American Soccer Football League season featured a 20-match schedule from 7 June to 1 September, with all five teams playing eight matches each. The Detroit Wolverines clinched the title on 24 August after rivals Toronto lost their second-last match of the season. Toronto won their last game of the season over Detroit on 25 August, but still finished one point back in the standings. Detroit and Toronto were then scheduled to meet in a two-match playoff, with Toronto winning the first match on 21 September.
Parlow was the youngest player on the American squad to compete at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. The '96 Olympics marked the first time that women's soccer (football) was played at the international tournament. Led by head coach Tony DiCicco (the team's former goalkeeper coach at the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup), the U.S. advanced to the semifinal after defeating Denmark and Sweden and tying with China in the group stage matches. After defeating Norway 2–1 in the semi-final, the U.S. faced China for a second time in the final.
In 1916, the United States Football Association (USFA) recruited a team, called the All-American Soccer Football Team, to represent the U.S. on a tour of Scandinavian countries. At the time, these countries and the U.S. were all neutral during the ongoing World War I. Thomas Swords was selected as the team captain. During the six game tour, the U.S. played two recognized international games, one on August 21, 1916, against Sweden and another on September 3, 1916, against Norway. There are disagreements about who scored the first national team goals.

The boys' varsity lacrosse team has also won three consecutive championship titles (2009-2011). The girls' varsity lacrosse team won the 2011 IAAM lacrosse championship. In 2018 and 2019, the boys’ soccer team won the B-Conference Championship.

For recreation, Iroquois Ridge High School has a large gymnasium, a soccer/football field surrounded by a 400m track with a long jump pit, and a fitness centre. Across from the school is the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, which houses a 25m swimming pool and the public library. There are also two baseball parks behind the school that are maintained by the Town of Oakville. A field hockey/soccer field and a tennis court are located adjacent to the school and are also maintained by the Town of Oakville.
From 1947 to 1960, Queensland Soccer Football Association yearbooks all list 1942 as the year the club was founded. No mention is made of 1919 or 1920. This is significant because Neil Mackay, generally regarded as the founding father of the present Thistle club, was president from approximately 1942 to 1953 and again in 1955. The consistent use of 1942 as the club’s foundation date during Neil Mackay’s lengthy tenure as president indicates that he did not link the present club to the original Thistle club which existed from 1920 to 1932.

Before the NCAA began its tournament in 1959, the annual national champion was declared by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association from 1926 to 1958, the result of polls and the subjective opinion of the ISFA administrators. In that time, Penn State shared eight national championships and was selected three times as champion outright (1929, 1938, 1954). The rival College Soccer Bowl was held from 1950–1952 in an attempt to decide a national champion on the field. Penn State gained a last-minute tie in the 1950 championship final.
Morgan F.C. existed at least as early as 1912 when it won the Pittsburgh Press Soccer Football League. In 1924, it won the first of seven West Penn Challenge Cups. However, it did not come to national prominence until after Peter Strasser purchased the team some time in either the late 1930s or early 1940s. When he did, he changed the name to Morgan- Strasser F.C. At that point, the team took off, winning numerous league titles, state cups, the 1940 and 1943 National Amateur Cup, the 1949 National Challenge Cup.
Bishop Allen Academy has a two-storey 77,705 sq. ft. campus leasing the space formerly held by Kingsmill S.S. in an 11.5 acre land. It currently has 28 classrooms, four science labs, an expanded cafetorium formerly used by a quadrangle, a double gym that can be partitioned, three art rooms, a new library, guidance/administrative area, and a chapel. In 1944, Morgan Strasser went to a third straight Amateur Cup final, but lost to S.C. Eintracht. In 1946, DiOrio left Morgan Strasser, for the Pittsburgh Strasser of the newly established North American Soccer Football League.
The Bellarmine Bells have 34 teams in 13 sports in the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) of the CIF Central Coast Section. Sports include football, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, water polo, swimming, diving, lacrosse, tennis, cross country, golf, wrestling, track and field, and ice hockey. As of the 2009-10 school year, Bellarmine added rugby as a club team, competing in spring in the Skyhawk Conference. The San Francisco Soccer Football League or SFSFL, established in 1902, is "the oldest American soccer league in continuous existence." The SFSFL is a men's semi-professional and amateur soccer league consisting of teams from San Francisco, California and surrounding cities in the Bay Area. The SFSFL is affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association region IV California Soccer Association-North and regularly sends teams to the National Amateur Cup. The league is on the fifth tier of the American soccer pyramid and features its own promotion-relegation system between 3 divisions.
As the success of Penn State's soccer team began to show and the team attempted to find a way to continue to finance the sport the team pursued an invitation to the Intercollegiate Soccer League, the league in which the season winner was crowned as national champion. Two trips were planned for the spring of 1914 to face members of the league. Proposed opponents were University of Pennsylvania, Haverford College, Princeton, Columbia, Yale, and Harvard. In May 1914 an application was submitted to the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association to join the Intercollegiate Soccer League.
Sanders attended St. Louis University High School in St. Louis, Missouri, and was a standout in soccer, football and baseball. After a month at St. Louis University, he signed with the Kansas City Athletics as an amateur free agent in . He went 19-10 with a 3.21 earned run average as a starting pitcher his first professional season with the Florida State League's Sanford Greyhounds. He split his time between starts and relief appearances until , when he was converted to a full-time reliever with the Birmingham Barons.
Topps also maintained a presence in the foreign card market which began near the end of the 1950s by issuing baseball cards in Venezuela from 1959 to 1968. Topps also maintained licensing agreements with A&BC; Chewing Gum in England and O-Pee-Chee in Canada. A&BC; Chewing produced an annual (soccer) football set featuring marks and designed featured in Topps baseball and (American) football sets. The 1956 National Challenge Cup was the 43rd edition of the United States Soccer Football Association's annual open soccer championship. The final was contested over two legs between Harmarville Hurricanes and Chicago Schwabens, which the Hurricanes won 3–2 on aggregate score after a comeback from a two- goal deficit. Schwaben won the first leg 1-0 at home in Winnemac Park, Chicago and also scored the first goal in the return leg. The Hurricanes then scored three consecutive goals, including the clinching goal in the 142nd minute.
Admiral Fetterman Field (located in the Community Maritime Park) is a multi- use park in Pensacola, Florida that includes a stadium, commercial buildings, a waterfront public park and amphitheater. The mixed use stadium holds 5,038 people and can be used for a number of events year-round, including baseball, soccer, football, festivals, graduations, and similar events. The multi-use stadium was originally designed to be the home field of the Pensacola Pelicans; it hosts the Minnesota Twins Double-A affiliate, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. The stadium is situated facing the Pensacola Bay.

The events of 1957 also lead to a change in management nationally. With the Australian Soccer Football Association (ASFA) suspended by FIFA over player poaching disputes and the creation of Federations in other states, the Australian Soccer Federation (ASF) was created in 1961 to replace the old association. However, the ASF only gained control of operations from the ASFA after they sent a £5000 bond to FIFA in 1963. In 1995, "Soccer Australia" replaced the "Australian Soccer Federation" and so the governing body of New South Wales became "Soccer NSW".

The Morningside Babysitting Cooperative has existed for nearly a century and still tracks shared hours of child care among its members. The Morningside Woman's Club was organized in 1937; it was previously known as the Morningside Literary Club. The area has an active Neighborhood Association that provides for a voice at City Hall to look after the unique needs and values of Morningside. A Morningside men's group called, the Morningside Athletic Club (MAC), meets every Saturday morning at Weber Park for sports activity, such as soccer, football and ice boot hockey.
The Reinhart Field is a 1,500 seat, expandable to 3,500 seat, multipurpose facility in Bronx, New York within the campus of SUNY Maritime College. Named after SUNY Maritime Athletic Director, Professor Roger Reinhart, the stadium is home to the Maritime College Privateers soccer, football, and lacrosse teams. In 2012 it also served the Monroe Mustangs of Monroe College as their home field. Each year the SUNY Maritime Privateers face the Massachusetts Maritime Buccaneers in the annual Chowder Bowl football match, which is usually held as the season opening game for both teams.

Ramón Maddoni, who discovered players like Juan Román Riquelme, Carlos Tevez and Esteban Cambiasso, wanted to take him to Boca Juniors for a test match but the young Lanzini firmly declined the call, stating that he only aimed to play for the club that he supported: Club Atlético River Plate. He was finally taken to River Plate, in 2002. He began playing as a playmaker in junior divisions.
The origins of Sutherland Sharks are traced back to the founding of Sutherland United SFC in 1930. By 1936, the club had grown markedly leading to a split and formation of the current-day club, albeit under a different name – Casuals Soccer Football Club. In the post-WWII era, the club grew and found success in the St George Football Association but in 1947 they stepped up to the Metropolitan Soccer League (effectively the Sydney 2nd Division, behind only the old NSW Soccer Association 1st Division). The club soon earned its stripes in this highly competitive league winning the title in just their second year and gaining promotion to the heady heights of the 1st Division but disappointingly, financial constraints forced them to let the opportunity pass. It was another 24 years before the club moved into the top flight state league. In 1949 the club changed its name to the more representative Sutherland Shire Casuals SFC, and in 1950 the club acquired a long-term lease on the Seymour Shaw field. However the club did not move permanently to the Miranda ground until 1959, continuing to use Sutherland Oval. In 1955, the club again changed its name to Sutherland Shire Soccer Football Club.
The 1947 North American Soccer Football League season featured a 30-match schedule from 6 April to 30 August, with all six teams scheduled to play 10 matches each. The champion Detroit Wolverines had dropped out of the league, while both the Detroit Pioneers and St. Louis Raiders were added to the league. The Pittsburgh Indians and Toronto Greenbacks finished tied for first place with 14 points each, thus requiring a two-match playoff to decide a champion. The two matches were played in October (after the Fall Season had started), with Pittsburgh winning both matches to claim the championship.

Located in the same place as the park, the Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Pool is a seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool.

His three caps for the U.S. team were all during the 1950 World Cup, where he scored one goal against Chile on a penalty kick. Although he was not a U.S. citizen, he had declared his intention to gain citizenship and under the rules of the United States Soccer Football Association at the time, he was eligible to play. He eventually did become a U.S. citizen in 1957. After the World Cup, he moved to Belgium and played for Royal White Star Athletic Club (47) in 1950–51 before returning to the U.S. There he play just 9 games in the first round.
It was the Cornish who first introduced soccer/football to Mexico (Pachuca). The first game of what would go on to be Mexico's national past time (futbol), was first played in Mexico by Cornish miners at Pachuca in 1900, a fact that is celebrated each year. The first soccer club in the country, the Pachuca Athletic Club, was also founded in that year. The first team consisted of Charles Dawe, John Dawe, James Bennetts, John Bennetts, William Blamey, Richard Sobey, William Bragg, William Thomas, Percy Bunt, Lionel Bunt, Albert Pengelly and William Pengelly, a decidedly 'Cornish' team.
What is now the United States Soccer Federation was originally the U.S. Football Association, formed in 1913 by the merger of the American Football Association and the American Amateur Football Association. The governing body of the sport in the U.S. did not have the word soccer in its name until 1945, when it became the U.S. Soccer Football Association. It did not drop the word football from its name until 1974, when it became the U.S. Soccer Federation. Two further football leagues were started in the 1967, the United Soccer Association and the National Professional Soccer League.
San Francisco Glens SC, commonly known as SF Glens, is an American soccer club based in San Francisco that was founded in 1961. Their first team currently competes in USL League Two (formerly USL PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. Before establishing a USL League Two franchise in 2018, the Glens had been a longtime member of the San Francisco Soccer Football League (SFSFL) and were once affiliated with the San Francisco Seals' PDL team, which is now defunct. The Glens continue to field an SFSFL team, but the USL League Two franchise is now the club's official first team.
On October 15, 1989, at 8pm, a soccer (football) game was broadcast from the Polideportivo de Pueblo Nuevo stadium in the city of San Cristóbal. It was on Friday, November 24, 1989, that the inaugural ball was celebrated in San Cristóbal’s opera house (important Venezuelan personalities came to this ball, including president Carlos Andrés Pérez). This was when TRT began its regular programming. With the need to improve their coverage, another transmitting station (called "El Rayo", located in the municipality of Pedro María Ureña in Táchira), was constructed, and finally became functional on March 25, 1994.
In his attempt to think up a new game, Naismith was guided by three main thoughts. Firstly, he analyzed the most popular games of those times (rugby, lacrosse, soccer, football, hockey, and baseball); Naismith noticed the hazards of a ball and concluded that the big, soft soccer ball was safest. Secondly, he saw that most physical contact occurred while running with the ball, dribbling or hitting it, so he decided that passing was the only legal option. Finally, Naismith further reduced body contact by making the goal unguardable, namely placing it high above the player's heads.
In 1960, William D. Cox, a wealthy U.S. businessman and former owner of the Philadelphia Phillies, a U.S. baseball team, saw a potential market in the United States for top-level soccer. Recognizing that U.S. teams did not play at a sufficiently high level to attract the attention of most fans, he began to consider the possibility of importing European and South American teams during their league off-seasons. Traditionally, tours by European clubs in the northeast United States had drawn well and Cox decided to pursue this approach. However, soccer in the U.S. was run by the U.S. Soccer Football Association (USSFA).
As well as being a track athlete and a boxer, he played football and broke through during his stay there. A centre forward, he signed for Detroit Corinthians and the champion Detroit Wolverines, where he was top goalscorer in the 1946 season of the North American Soccer Football League.David A. Capital Football was founded in the 1960s as the ACT Soccer Federation Incorporated. The organisation replaced the defunct Federal Capital Territory Soccer Football Association which controlled soccer in the ACT between 1926 and 1932 and the Federal Monaro District Soccer Association which lasted two years (1932–33). The Great Depression and World War II saw soccer all but disappear in the ACT with no new federation established and the odd team playing infrequent matches in NSW. Following the conclusion of the war new migrant communities settled in Canberra and founded clubs such as Juventus, Olympic, Croatia and Hungaria.

The Pine Rivers Shire Council, now known as the Moreton Bay Regional Council, acquired the former CSIRO land which is on the northern edge of the Village and comprises some 140 ha. Makuakai (Makua) Rothman, is Jewish, born to an American Jewish father and a Hawaiian mother, on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. He attended Kahuku High School in Kahuku, Hawaii, playing soccer, football, baseball, karate, and water polo. An accomplished professional big wave surfer and aspiring musician, Rothman was crowned the 2015 Big Wave World Champion. Rothman achieved a milestone in surfing at age 18 when he won the 2003 Billabong XXL Award for riding a 66-foot wave at Jaws on November 26, 2002 (the largest wave known to be surfed anywhere in the world that winter).
The Toronto Greenbacks were members of the North American Soccer Football League for its two years of existence in 1946–47. In 1967, two rival leagues began play: the United Soccer Association (USA) and National Professional Soccer League (NPSL). Both leagues had Toronto-based clubs with Toronto City (owned by future owner of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Steve Stavro) joining the US and the Toronto Falcons in the NPSL and both playing their games at Varsity Stadium. Following the merger of the two leagues for the 1968 season only the Falcons survived, with Stavro selling his team back to the league for $160,000.
In 2010 Katharine Shilcutt of the Houston Press said "Gulfton now possesses such a wide range of ethnic cuisines, restaurants and grocery stores, it can almost be seen as a microcosm of Houston." The popularity of soccer (football) in the neighborhood flourished after the Southwest Houston Soccer Association was established in the 1990s. Prior to its establishment, a few adult teams existed, but no youth league. In 1995, Silvia Ramirez, a soccer coach, said in a newspaper article that a lack of confidence in English language abilities and long work hours prevented many area residents from creating soccer leagues.
By the early 1990s, Goodrich said that the park was a boon for South Jamaica, which at the time was majority-black and primarily lower- class. The region had long been neglected by city officials, having been "perceived as being part of an affluent middle-class community in Queens", namely the predominantly black neighborhood of St. Albans. To reduce danger in the park, the SQPA kept the park brightly lit, and gave its members walkie- talkies. The SQPA continued to make major renovations to the park, including adding baseball fields, soccer/football fields, tennis courts, and a gym.

Football started to be played in Fiji ever since the arrival of Europeans in Fiji and establishment of towns like Levuka where significant numbers of sports enthusiasts could congregate and socialise with a friendly game. Missionaries, who established schools in Fiji, introduced football as part of the school program and football was being played in schools as early as 1889. The Suva Soccer Football Club was formed in 1905, made up of European employees of the Government and businesses and similar clubs existed in Nausori and Levuka. In 1910, a team representing Suva played a match against a team representing Nausori.
In 1945, Army was declared co-national champions by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association, the predecessor to the NCAA, making it the only season Army won a national championship of any kind in men's college soccer. Much of the program's success in NCAA came in the 1960s, when they were regulars in the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. From 1963 until 1967 Army reached the College Cup (final four) for four consecutive seasons, although the program never managed to reach the national championship. The Christian Brothers Cadets men's soccer team was a varsity college soccer team that represented the Christian Brothers College (now a high school) from the 1870s until the 1910s. The team is best known for being one of the most dominant pre-regulation college soccer programs in the United States, retroactively winning ASHA and IFRA pre-regulation national championships. In total, the Cadets won 16 consecutive national championships between 1890 and 1905. The 1905 title was shared with Haverford College by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football League, which was the governing body of college soccer in the United States from 1904 until 1958 (the NCAA began governing college soccer in 1959).
In 1916, the United States Football Association (USFA) recruited a team, called the All-American Soccer Football Team, to represent the U.S. on a tour of Scandinavian countries. At the time, these countries and the U.S. were all neutral during the ongoing World War I. During the six game tour, the U.S. played two recognized international games, one on August 21, 1916 against Sweden and another on September 3, 1916 against Norway. Sesugh Uhaa was born on August 22, 1987 in Sacramento, California, and was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and early on fell in love with professional wrestling, becoming a fan of performers such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock and especially Kurt Angle. He went to a military high school and began practicing various sports, including amateur wrestling, soccer, football and track and field, as both an outlet and a way to "get away from the military life". While weight training in high school, he was given the nickname "Uhaa Nation", when his coach noted that he was "as strong as a single nation".
The club was formed in 1969 by Irish and Irish Americans with the purpose of teaching Gaelic football to the youth of San Francisco. In 1971 the club decided to enter a team in the Police Athletic League competition with great success and in 1972 they entered teams in all age groups of the P.A.L. Warminster Community Park is located on part of the former site of Naval Air Warfare Center Warminster Warminster Township's Recreation Services Division provides many events and community services, including overseeing and maintaining of recreation areas within 13 parks. Sports teams, including soccer, football, basketball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, and softball, are provided by various adult and youth sports organizations throughout their respective seasons. The township has partnered with the Central Bucks YMCA starting in January 2015 to offer many of the recreational programs previously offered by the township. The Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park (CORP) is a public park operated by the City and County of Honolulu. It held its grand opening on July 21, 2001 and it is located in Waipio, Oahu just off the Kamehameha Highway. The Central Oahu Regional Park complex currently includes a 20-court tennis center, which opened in 2003; the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center, four youth baseball diamonds, four regulation size baseball diamonds, a four diamond softball complex, as well as other multipurpose fields, and a 20-lane archery range. Tibbetts was known for its 412 x pool which in June 2011 reopened as a state of the art saline water park featuring a river, various sprays and waterfalls and a small lap pool enclosed amist the rest of the water park. The numerous walking/hiking trails include part of the South County Trailway which runs near the western side of the park, and part of the Croton Aqueduct Trail. Tibbets also has a miniature golf course, ice skating/skiing (winter), two artificial lakes for fishing, playgrounds and camp sites along with tennis, soccer, football, and baseball facilities. The club was formed as Pineapple Rovers Soccer Football Club in 1996. The club is a reincarnation of the original Pineapple Rovers, one of the oldest clubs in Queensland, thought to have been formed in the late 1880s and playing out of Raymond Park (then known as the Pineapple Sportsfield, named for the adjacent Pineapple Hotel). Chowan previously competed in the USA South Athletic Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III. The school's original mascot, adopted in the 1940s, was the Braves but was changed in 2006 to the Hawks due to NCAA policy on Native American mascots. Formed in 1958 as a sports club, the Sydney United Football Club played its first season in 1958 (undefeated) in the old NSW Soccer Football Association (NSWSFA). After transferring to the NSW Soccer Federation (a breakaway league established in 1959), they competed in the third division. In 1961 they were promoted to the second division and in 1963 to first, where they were amongst the elite teams nationwide. Teams like St. George Budapest, Pan-Hellenic (who later become Sydney Olympic), APIA-Leichhardt, Yugal and Hakoah were United's major rivals. For the seasons of 1964 and 1965 a part of the name changed (from Croatia to Metropolitan Adriatic), reverting to Croatia in 1966.
Moorebank is home to a number of local sporting teams, most of which use Hammondville Park as their home ground. Most prominent is the Moorebank Magpies Australian Football team which plays in the second division of the Sydney AFL competition. The Moorebank Rams rugby league team plays in the Canterbury-Bankstown Junior Rugby League competition but have previously fielded teams in the Metropolitan Cup, the most senior Sydney competition beneath the National Rugby League. Moorebank also fields a soccer team in the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association, a cricket team in the Fairfield-Liverpool Cricket Association, a baseball team (the Royals) in the Bankstown District Baseball Association and has netball and fishing clubs as well.
The Uniplex is Humboldt's recreational facility featuring a curling rink, an indoor aquatic center, a fitness center and a convention center. The Elgar Petersen Arena, part of the Uniplex, is a 1,900-seat arena, home to the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, two- time National Champions and 10-time SJHL Champions, as well as Humboldt's minor hockey teams and club skating club. Also on the Uniplex grounds is Centennial Park with ball diamonds, a skateboard park and a soccer/football field. An 18-hole golf course is located next to Water Ridge Park, which includes walking trails, a spray park and gazebo and the Humboldt Historical Park, mini golf and campground.
The Drexel Dragons men's soccer team represents Drexel University. The team is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In 1955, the team finished with a record of 11-3-1 and won the Middle Atlantic Conferences (MAC) championship for the first time. After finishing the regular season tied for first place in the conference's Southeastern division, they won a one-game playoff against Bucknell, and then went on to defeat Rutgers in the conference championship game. In 1958 with a 12-0-0 record, the team was awarded the National Championship by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association of America, then the governing body of men’s college soccer.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2 (also known as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 6 and World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2002 in Japan and World Soccer: Winning Eleven 6 International in North America) is the second installment of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer football video game series. The Japanese release was succeeded by an updated and improved version called World Soccer: Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution. It was the last game in the series to be released in Europe for the PlayStation and the first to be released for the GameCube, though it was the Japan-exclusive Final Evolution update. Pro Evolution Soccer 2 was succeeded by Pro Evolution Soccer 3, which was released in 2003.
The club went as far as to meet arriving boats of immigrants at ports in Melbourne and Geelong to recruit players. Despite these initial difficulties the club quickly became successful, making its playing debut on 10 April 1953 (The date the Axis powers establish the Nazi puppet Independent State of Croatia). In 1954 the club became an affiliate of the state's governing body Victorian Amateur Soccer Football Association, which saw SC Croatia join and compete in a league competition for the first time that same year in the newly created Victorian Provisional League (a league for amateur clubs). The club's opening match took place on 1 May 1954 against BWR, which finished 3-3.

The first competitive soccer matches in Brisbane were played at the Pineapple Sportsground in 1884. The ground was also the home of Pineapple Rovers [soccer] Football Club, one of the most prominent clubs in Brisbane, from the late 1880s until around 1940. In 1886-1887, the Pineapple Hotel was re-built in its current form. In July 1913, over six acres of land on Wellington Road was purchased at a cost of £4,600 by the Brisbane City Council to establish a park called Raymond Park after Alfred John Raymond, who had been mayor of Brisbane in 1912 and the alderman for Kangaroo Point for many years and was the chairman of the Parks Committee in 1913.

Bacon Woodlands, located on Kensington Road, is a natural rock outcropping which has been left in its natural state, the flatter portion of which is used as an informal play area by children. Scout Field, a Westchester County Park which is located predominantly in Yonkers and Mount Vernon but is controlled by Bronxville, is heavily utilized by the Bronxville schools' soccer, football, baseball and cross-country running programs.

In 2017 the Eleven again attempted to receive stadium funding, but did not have a bill launched in favor of it. In January 2019, the Eleven announced a new stadium plan, with a 20,000 seat stadium being the centerpiece of a $550 million mixed-use development including 600 apartments, more than of retail space, of office space and a 200-room hotel. The stadium would also have the potential to host concerts, women's soccer team, college and high school soccer, football, field hockey, rugby and lacrosse. In February, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved the bill, with a requirement that the Eleven reach an agreement to join Major League Soccer before the stadium could be built.
The school's colors have been black and gold ever since the first Commando football team in 1941, when the Vanderbilt University football program provided the first Commando football team with older, used jerseys. The black and gold colors have remained ever since. Hendersonville is known as the Commandos because 54 men were sent to fight in World War II. When they came back as veteran commandos the name stuck with the school and became the official mascot. This campus is located just on the outskirts of the town of Sandino and has quite a unique setting, considering it is surrounded by an orange orchard.
