During one rainy day, he collects worms for fishing and sets off across the pond on his lily-pad boat. He plans to invite his friends for dinner if he catches more than five minnows.
Underworld are an English electronic group, and principal name under which duo Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have recorded together since 1983, though they have also worked together under various names both before and after adopting the Underworld moniker. The Pittsburgh English dialect, commonly called Pittsburghese, was influenced by Scots-Irish, German, and Eastern European immigrants and African Americans. Locals who speak the dialect are sometimes referred to as "Yinzers" (from the local word "yinz" [var. yunz], a blended form of "you ones," similar to "y'all" and "you all" in the South). Common Pittsburghese terms are: "slippy" (slippery), "redd up" (clean up), "jagger bush" (thorn bush), and "gum bands" (rubber bands).
The web site OpenStreetMap.org provides a slippy map interface based on the Leaflet JavaScript library (and formerly built on OpenLayers), displaying map tiles rendered by the Mapnik rendering engine, and tiles from other sources including OpenCycleMap.org. Custom maps can also be generated from OSM data through various software including Jawg Maps, Mapnik, Mapbox Studio, Mapzen's Tangrams. OpenStreetMap maintains lists of online and offline routing engines available, such as the Open Source Routing Machine.
After a two-hour delay, the race was restarted. Rahal suffered clutch problems on the restart, which placed him two laps down, while the other drivers ran behind the safety car, during which the marshalls showed the areas in which repair work had been conducted. Just prior to the restart, there was a short rain shower which made the track slightly slippy. Power lost one position on the restart, dropping to third.
The title is also the moniker of a renowned safe-cracker, Slippy McGee, who has always managed to evade capture until his latest job, when he is wounded. He escapes aboard a freight train, bound for parts unknown, and finds himself in the town of Appleborro. There, he is discovered and cared for by Father De Rance and Mary Virginia. His leg is amputated, and during his recovery in Appleborro, the town's influence causes him to reform.
Amazing Man won heat one before Yankee Express missed the break and found trouble in heat two and would take no further part in the Derby. Game Ball only finished second behind 50-1 shot Lisnamuck. Game Ball moved into the final after clinching his semifinal from Debbycott Lad and On Spec.
The Star Fox team has broken up, but re-assembles to fight the threat. Peppy is made the General of the Cornerian Army, replacing Pepper. Fox flew around the Lylat system with ROB on patrol, and Krystal broke off her relationship with Fox after she left the team, because he was afraid she would receive injury and it would affect him. Slippy finds love with a frog named Amanda, and spends less time with the team.
Vocalist Karl Hyde wrote the lyrics for "Born Slippy .NUXX" after a night drinking in Soho, London, hoping to capture the way a drunk "sees the world in fragments". The vocals were recorded in one take; when Hyde lost his place, he would sing the same line repeatedly, creating the line "lager, lager, lager, lager". Hyde, who was struggling with alcoholism, said he did not intend the song to be a "drinking anthem" but rather a "cry for help".

Beaucoup Fish was released after the successful single "Born Slippy .NUXX"; a single that began to define Underworld's signature sound of stream of consciousness lyrics, anthemic melodies and driving beats and rhythms. Lead single "Push Upstairs", with its energetic piano melody, exemplified this new sound. The album's working title was Tonight Matthew, I'm Going to be Underworld, inspired by the famous catchphrase "Tonight [host name], I'm going to be...", used on the British celebrity impersonation TV programme Stars in Their Eyes.Dirty.org.

In 2013, GamesRadar included Slippy among their "8 favourite video game mechanics", calling him "an essential part of Star Fox's core team".

The Dolphin Centre was a popular swimming and leisure facility located in the town from 1982 to 1995, but the site was redeveloped into the current Axis residential tower block and Asda superstore in the mid-2000s. Tico continued his form by taking the second semi from a fast finishing Fearless Action.
In 2010 a new facility called Ancient Roam was released as a beta service to provide a "slippy maps" style interface for viewing the maps. A separate download interface was also added which allows a greater number of maps to be taken in a single session. At this time the most detailed historic Ordnance Survey maps, the Town Plans, were also offered through the service. A separate viewer for the Dudley Stamp Land-use Survey maps from the 1930s is also included in the collection.
Falco is a favorite among Star Fox fans, and among Nintendo fans in general. Though he could be described as "cranky", Falco gained esteem as a counterpoint to the seemingly annoying Slippy Toad and the older Peppy Hare. UGO Networks listed Falco as one of the top twenty-three second in commands in entertainment, characterizing him as a "dick", but the most reliable character in the Star Fox series. They also ranked him fifth on its "25 Most Memorable Italians in Video Games" list.
1992–2012 is notable for including an extended version of "Jumbo", which was previously only available on select promotional copies of Underworld's previous greatest hits collection, 1992–2002. Though the full version of "Moaner" is featured on 1992–2012, it quickly fades out at the end instead of ending abruptly. Along with previous soundtrack contributions "Born Slippy .NUXX", "Dark & Long (Dark Train)", "Cowgirl", "8 Ball" and "Moaner", this collection also includes "To Heal", which was used in Sunshine under the name "Capa Meets the Sun".
The three game paths all contain the planet Corneria (the first level) and Venom (the last level), but they each have different versions depending on the path taken. In each level, the player is accompanied by three computer-controlled wingmen: Peppy Hare, Slippy Toad and Falco Lombardi. At certain pre-scripted points, one will fly into the player's view, often either chasing an enemy or being chased and asking for assistance. Ignoring a wingman's pleas will result in him taking damage, or even being shot down.
Prior to Star Fox Adventures, he has been rebuilt and upgraded several times by Slippy Toad, infusing him with more productivity and personality. After the first Great Fox is destroyed in Star Fox: Assault, he returns in Star Fox Command piloting the new version of the Great Fox. On some paths in the game, ROB joins Star Wolf when no "hero" character is available. In Star Fox Zero, a tethered robot similar in appearance, Direct-i, also assists in operation of the Gyrowing and Roadmaster.
Gino represented Meek in the 1987 Irish Greyhound Derby final before the white and brindle joined John McGee. He moved his attachment from Swindon Stadium to Oxford Stadium in 1988, which catapulted the kennels to major success. In 1990 he trained Fires of War, who reached the 1990 English Greyhound Derby final.. The following year Coalbrook Suzie reached the final of the Oaks and Grand Prix before Deanpark Atom won the Pall Mall Stakes in 1992. He also recorded two Puppy Derby successes with Murlens Support and Lughill Slippy.

In Graphic Design: A New History, Stephen Eskilson cites the cover as a notable example of the "expressive, chaotic graphics" that developed in the 1990s, a design style he calls "grunge". In an article published in the journal Substance Paul Zelevansky says that "the packaging... replays the visual poetry of the 1960s and '70s and fast forwards to the alchemical transformations of computer graphics packages". The album artwork also features excerpts of lyrics to the band's 1996 hit "Born Slippy .NUXX", a track which was released two years after the album.
Magical Bale and Lenson Bocko sealed their first wins but Lenson Blinder had to settle for a runner-up spot. The second round started just like the first round with another high-profile elimination when Ballymac Arminta crashed out. Slippy Cian and Lenson Blinder both won their races while Wolfe and Ballyanne Sim progressed despite defeats. Heats 9-16 got underway the following evening (Aug 24) and Totos Park won before a sensational heat 11 saw all three major Derby contenders progress; Kilmacdonagh impressed when beating Magical Bale and Lenson Bocko.
A 1996 molecular analysis of 38 different Suillus species used the sequences of their internal transcribed spacers to infer phylogenetic relationships and clarify the taxonomy of the genus. The results suggest that S. pungens was genetically similar to S. collinitus, S. neoalbidipes, S. pseudobrevipes, S. luteus, S. brevipes, S. weaverae, and certain isolates of S. granulatus. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin pungens, and refers to the pungent aroma of the fruit bodies. The mushroom is commonly known as the "pungent slippy jack" or the "pungent suillus".
G. W. Search became the secretary, while Slippy became supervisor. Second was Burgess, third Knor, fourth Youlls, fifth Bear, sixth Post, seventh Hughes, eight Hartman, and ninth Bulkley. Hartman, and Frederick Beach in 1866), and a planing mill (set up by Amos Hess in 1874). Two blacksmith shops were also built and run by Miner Brown and Henry Wagner.
The album will contain "Fight For Liberty" which was used as the opening theme song for the anime series Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and "Wizard CLUB" used as the ending theme song for the TV series Kaikin! Bakuro Night. Plus with the other additional singles released in 2014 "Nano-Second (ナノ・セカンド)" and "Nanokame no Ketsui (7日目の決意)" will also be added to the album. For the first time in their history that the band has decided to add a cover song to the album "Born Slippy" from Underworld.
On May 21, 2018, American music producer Trivecta collaborated with Puleo to release the song "Falling" via Monstercat. The song has been described by writers of EDM Sauce and EDMTunes as a combination of both producer's respective styles, mixing bass-focused with melodic dubstep. On July 3, English music producer and DJ Gammer released the first part of the remixes to his song "The Drop" via Monstercat. Various electronic music producers such as 4B, NvrLeft, Skellism, Slippy, and Stonebank, alongside Puleo, were featured on the remix extended play.
They also share similar moves, like the Blaster, Reflector, Fox Illusion/Falco Phantasm/Wolf Flash, and Fire Fox/Fire Bird/Fire Wolf. Peppy Hare and Slippy Toad make brief cameos in Melee and Brawl, with Krystal, Leon Powalski and Panther Caroso appearing alongside them in the latter. All five released entries in the series feature Star Fox related stages: Sector Z, Corneria, Venom, Lylat Cruise and Orbital Gate Assault. Sector Z (N64) and Corneria (Melee, Brawl, 3DS and Ultimate) are played atop the length of the mothership "Great Fox".
Celal Atik (1920 – 27 April 1979) was a Turkish wrestler and coach. He competed both in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, but had his best achievements in the freestyle, winning gold medals at the 1948 Olympics, 1951 World and 1946 and 1949 European championships. He was born in the village of Gürdan in the Boğazlıyan district of Yozgat Province, Turkey. The Daily Mirror sponsored the Derby for the eighth consecutive year and Ireland’s top trainer Ger McKenna sent the leading contenders headed by Attractive Son, Lartigue Note and ante-post favourite Lodge Dancer. The main British hope came from Laurels champion and English Greyhound Derby finalist Comeragh Boy and the defending champion Hit the Lid. In qualifying Lodge Dancer and Slippy Blue both went out with Comeragh Boy also eliminated after finishing lame. Galtymore Lad and defending champion Hit the Lid both went out in round one after encountering interference; in addition leading hopes Arrow House and Fergus Bramley both finished lame.
The 12-1 ante-post favourite was from the UK and was the 2018 English Greyhound Derby runner-up Droopys Verve, trained by Angela Harrison. The bookmakers then quoted Borna Gin at 14-1, Puppy Derby champion Magical Bale 16-1, Shelbourne track specialist Lenson Blinder 20-1 and Kirby Memorial Stakes champion Droopys Davy 20-1. The first ten heats took place on 17 August which resulted in an impressive 10 length win for Droopys Verve in 29.49, a time matched by heat 3 winner Slippy Cian. English Derby finalist Whoops Jack also went well after winning in 29.56.
The single embraces a slight change in style for Kasabian, with the track resembling electronic dance music – more so than their previous work. In an interview, Sergio Pizzorno revealed that the song's production was inspired by Giorgio Moroder, who had said 120BPM was a 'magic tempo'. The song title is derived from the pronunciation of the word 'easy' in a Leicester accent. Frontman Tom Meighan described the song as a "working class anthem" and said he would like the song to have the same effect on people as "Born Slippy", a well-known 1996 number two single by electronic group Underworld.
Returning from the original Star Fox are wingmen that fly beside the player in Arwings and are sometimes pursued into the player's field of view by enemies. If the player fails to defeat the enemies chasing a wingman, that wingman may be forced to retreat to the mothership Great Fox for repairs. The wingman will then be unavailable throughout the next stage. Each wingman provides a different form of assistance to the player: Slippy Toad scans bosses and displays their shields on the player's screen, Peppy Hare provides gameplay advice, and Falco Lombardi occasionally locates alternate routes through stages.
The game is set in the Lylat system, using a similar map as Star Fox 64 to switch between each areas. However, two planets, Zoness and Macbeth, did not appear in the game, unlike Star Fox 64. In 1897, the Pacific Coast Borax Company began constructing the Borate and Daggett Railroad to link the nearby borax mines of Borate to the standard-gauge railway at Daggett, and were short on locomotives to run the line. They leased the one of the saddle-tank engines (No. 2, "Emil") from the Waterloo Mining Company to aid in the construction of the new line. The locomotive was said to have been rather slippy on the steep grade ascending to Borate, and was used for only a few months until the arrival of PCB's first locomotive and "Emil" was sent back to Waterloo.
In the quarter finals he bounced back on 19 June in the quarter finals and impressed when beating Fearless Action and Lodge Prince in the semi finals two days later. In the final he ran brilliantly to win by over five lengths helped by Murlens Slippy moving off and hampering Fearless Action, kennelmate Master Hardy finished second. Tico then travelled to Shelbourne Park in an attempt to double up and win the 1986 Irish Greyhound Derby. The English champion progressed to the final which included a semi final win in 30.06 for 550 yards, just three spots off the track record.
The remaining thirteen heats were completed the following evening and the campaigner Clonbrien Hero won his heat as did the Produce champion Cash Is King, in a fast 29.54. Magical Bale was another winner but it was Lenson Blinder who went fastest in 29.40. The second round consisted of 16 heats and the first 8 provided many shocks, with the elimination of the two leading contenders Droopys Verve and Borna Gin and the defeat of Lenson Blinder, although the latter did qualify for the next round. The fastest winner was Totos Park in 29.34, with Clona Blaze, Slippy Cian and Jaytee Taylor all recording their second competition wins.
The second night of heats provided further wins for Clonbrien Hero, Whoops Jack, Magical Bale and Stonepark Noel but Droopys Davy and Droopys Expert both went out. The third round provided better luck for the favourites, with Lenson Blinder and Jaytee Taylor justifying short odds and both winning in the equal fastest times of the round (29.39), the former defeated a field including Magical Bale. Totos Park beat Slippy Cian to remain unbeaten, a feat matched by Clona Blaze who won again, pushing Clobnrein Hero into second place. The fast starting Cabra Hurricane won the first quarter final, inflicting a first defeat on Jaytee Taylor.
During the second round the ante-post favourite Aghadown Timmy went out after finishing lame whilst Westmead Lodge from the Savva kennels recorded a speedy 28.77. Fires of War trained by Tony Meek lit up the third round with a fast 28.67 only to be bettered one heat later by Druids Johno in 28.66. McGee's bad luck continued when his Irish Greyhound Derby and Laurels finalist Yes Speedy was eliminated after trouble. The quarter-finals started badly as Westmead Lodge was knocked over; this was followed by Druids Johno catching Slippy Blue to win heat two with Shanavulin Bingo and Slippys Quest taking the remaining quarter-finals.
Produce champion Grangeview Ten claimed an unusual three dog heat and finally Jaytee Taylor secured a second-place finish and Ballymac Cooper won his heat to see all the big names through on the night. The third round was held on the 31 August and Lenson Bocko claimed the first heat in a very fast time of 29.27; Jaytee Taylor found trouble and failed to qualify. Slippy Cian took heat 2 before the John Linehan trained Droopys Pension won heat 3 to remain unbeaten. In the next heat Murts Boher surprised at 10-1 beating Lenson Blinder into second place with Droopys Hunch and Totos Park going no further.
Truancy is often referred to as playing hookey, skipping, ditching, or jigging. Some Maritimers, particularly Prince Edward Islanders, will describe treacherous winter roads as "slippy" rather than "slippery". Some Maritimers will also add an /s/ to the end of "somewhere" and "anywhere", producing "somewheres" and "anywheres". The names of meals are not always used in the same way as in other parts of the country: "dinner" may refer to the meal eaten at midday; "supper" is the evening meal; and occasionally, particularly with older speakers, "lunch" refers to a snack eaten outside of regular meal times (for example, a "bed lunch" is a bedtime snack).
On June 18, 2014, Uverworld released their 26th single titled "Nanokame no Ketsui" (7日目の決意, "Decision of the Seventh Day") as their 1st single in 2014. Two weeks later, they released a new album entitled Ø Choir, which subsequently reached second place on the Oricon chart with 84,810 copies sold in its first week release. The album contains 14 tracks including a cover of "Born Slippy" originally by Welsh electronic music group Underworld. The band re-formed in 1991 under the same name to become the successful dance and electronica act responsible for a number of well received albums and the 1996 hit single "Born Slippy .NUXX". The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles would list Freur under the symbol, with the translation by the side, until the late 1990s. John Warwicker is a video artist in the graphic design collective Tomato, whose founders include Hyde and Smith. "Doot Doot" has been used in Vanilla Sky, Valley Girls, a second season episode of Gossip Girl, the last episode of Glory Daze and in the 2009 US ad campaign for the Palm Pre smartphone.
Kilgraney Master took the third spot but Whoops Jack was eliminated. The second heat was the strongest and saw all three favourites qualify for the semi finals, Slippy Cian gained revenge on Totos Park in the fastest time of the Derby so far, with Magical Bale taking third but unable to challenge the front two. Newhall Missile claimed heat three from the popular campaigner Clonbrien Hero and Drive on Tipp but the favourite, Lenson Blinder went out because he could not overcome his terrible trap draw from 5. The final heat went to Clona Blaze from Crossfield Will and Ballyanne Sim, leaving Clona Blaze as the only undefeated runner left in the competition.
On June 22, 2014, a photo was posted to Hammond's official Facebook page of himself in a room with other musicians and the caption "the start of something new; LP 3," suggesting that he is working on a third full-length album. Hammond released his third LP Momentary Masters on July 31, 2015 in the U.S. via Vagrant Records. The first single, "Born Slippy", was made instantly available for streaming and download via YouTube and iTunes respectively. Albert Hammond Jr. covered "The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot" by Vera Lynn mixed with the chorus from George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" as part of Amazon's annual music series titled Indie for the Holidays.
Various elements return from previous games, including Fox's teammates, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy, who can assist the player if they protect them from enemy attacks, as well as Star Wolf team rivals Wolf O'Donnell, Leon Powalski, Pigma Dengar, and Andrew Oikonny. Several level locations have also returned, including Corneria, Zoness, and Titania, while two new locations, Sector Alpha and Area 3, have been added. Players can scan the Fox and Falco Amiibo figurines to unlock the Retro Arwing, which is based on the model used in the original Star Fox game, and the Black Arwing, which sports a black and red color scheme, is stronger and faster, but takes more damage, respectively.
Lunny also included a hybrid of these two rhythms he called 'slippy-daichevo' [3–2–2–2], which turns the daichevo rhythm around by playing the long beat first, to prepare for the slip jig that follows. O'Flynn also contributed uilleann pipes on this track. "The Ballad of Reynardine/Johnny Cúig" is a two-part piece arranged by Irvine. First, "The Ballad of Reynardine" is the old Irish ballad from County Tyrone which Irvine has set to the vigorous pace of the 'paidushka' rhythm (); second, "Johnny Cúig" is Irvine's re-interpretation of "Johnny Cope" (the hornpipe he recorded with Planxty on Cold Blow and the Rainy Night) from which he selected some of the parts and reset them to also, 'cúig' meaning 'five' in Irish.
The game's protagonist and playable character is Fox McCloud, a red fox and leader of the Star Fox team, who defends the Lylat system. His father, James, was part of the original Star Fox team, who was killed by Andross before the start of the game. Andross, a scientist from Corneria who was exiled to Venom after he nearly destroyed the planet, is the main antagonist of the game. The Star Fox team is a group of mercenaries consisting of: Peppy Hare, a rabbit and member of the original Star Fox team; Slippy Toad, a frog and the mechanical and energetic expert of the team; and Falco Lombardi, a falcon who is cocky but an excellent fighter and is Fox's best friend.
Her shop in St James was visited by a fashionable clientele and had a large stock of social and political caricature, including caricature portraits of leading society figures. Notable artists she published beside Gillray included Thomas Rowlandson and James Sayers. She moved premises a number of times: from 18 Old Bond Street (1778–83) to 51 New Bond Street (1783–89), to 18 Old Bond Street (1790–94), to 37 New Bond Street (1794–97) and finally settling in 27 St James's Street (1797–1817), depicted in the print Very Slippy-Weather. Star Fox Adventures features both the established main characters of the Star Fox series—Fox, Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare (though Falco is absent for the majority of the game), as well as a host of new characters, including a mysterious blue fox named Krystal and the small dinosaur Prince Tricky. The entire planet is populated with dinosaurs, like the tyrannical General Scales, and other prehistoric animals such as pterosaurs and mammoths. The entire game takes place on the world of Dinosaur Planet (known as "Sauria" in subsequent games) and a number of detached pieces of the planet that are suspended in orbit around it. Dinosaur Planet is ruled by the EarthWalker tribe, resembling ceratopsians, and the rival CloudRunner tribe, similar to pterosaurs and birds.
Star Fox Guard is a 3D tower defense game in which players must protect various bases, owned by Slippy Toad's uncle, Grippy, from oncoming attackers by monitoring security cameras. The television displays footage from all of the available security cameras while the Wii U GamePad features an overhead view of the base. To defend the base's core, players must watch the monitors carefully for any oncoming attackers and switch control to one of the available cameras in order to fire its weapon. Enemies are divided into two classes; Combat robots, which must all be defeated in order to progress, and Chaos robots, which hinder the player by tampering with the cameras, such as obscuring the view or showing fake footage.
Magical Bale's class showed once again as he won heat 3 from Ballydoyla Valor and the previously undefeated Killmacdonagh in a very strong race that also saw the end of the challenge from Droopys Pension and Slippy Cian. The final heat was won by Murts Boher from Our Surprise and Music Tooour Ears but Lenson Blinder was eliminated. In the semi finals Lenson Bocko consolidated his tag as favourite when winning all the way in heat 1 from the consistent Run Happy with Boylesports King taking the final qualification place. A rare dead-heat in the second heat between Mucky Brae and Our Surprise meant that three greyhounds qualified for the final with a time of 29.32sec because the first heat had also been won in that time.
The two semi- finals were both very strong in terms of line-ups and both were competitive as expected; Magical Bale won the first after winning from Jaytee Taylor and Conna Blaze in a race that saw the first five finish within 10 spots (0.10 sec) of each other. The second heat ended with Slippy Cian catching Ballyanne Sim on the line and Clonbrien Hero ran on well to take the remaining final place. In the final both Ballyanne Sim and Clona Blaze were both very fast out of the traps, Magical Bale also broke well but Jaytee Taylor missed the break. Ballyanne Sim forged out a lead but Magical Bale looked set to challenge at the third bend but could not find a way past the leader who held on in the fastest time of the competition and the fastest 550 Derby final to date (29.28).
X-Play: The Online Game is a short Flash game created by the San Francisco-based company Orange Design (graphics and audio by Sean Talley, programming by Fearghal O'Dea). The brief intro sequence begins in the fictitious X-Play Labs (which made an appearance on the show during the X-Play X-Plentions skit), where Morgan is about to put the finishing touches on the X-Play online game. An excited Adam asks if the game can have "fudge zombies and stealthy ninjas and drunken pirates and radioactive Dik-diks", then haphazardly presses a large red button which "digitizes physical matter and materializes digital matter"; this causes all of the bad guys from the X-Play video game to escape (much to Morgan's chagrin). Once the game begins, players can choose from big-headed versions of either Adam (whose main weapon is Slippy the Fish) or Morgan (whose main weapon is her fists), and battle their way through a few continuously repeating levels of action.
