On January 31, 2011, the entire broadcast schedule of WUWF FM-2 was switched to a classical music format. On September 26, 2011, WUWF FM-3 was launched with a radio reader format. This third channel broadcasts Sightline for the visually impaired which features a 24-hour schedule including daily readings of the Pensacola News Journal and information from the Gatewave reading service. A digital HD radio is needed in order to listen to WUWF FM-2 and WUWF FM-3 over the air.

On its cancellation, Sightline was given full development funds, and entered service in 1971 as Rapier. The US Navy was in a somewhat more troubling position. In addition to their need to replace guns and existing missile systems like the RIM-24 Tartar, they were also looking to replace short-range gun systems on their older ships. Mauler was "built-in" not only to their latest ship designs, like the Knox, but formed the basis for their entire anti-aircraft concept for the 1970s.

Armed Forces Journal (AFJ) was a publication for American military officers and leaders in government and industry. First published in 1863 as a weekly newspaper, AFJ was published under various names by various owners in various formats for more than 150 years. The publication went all-digital after the July/August 2013 issue, and last updated its website on April 29, 2014. The brand is currently owned by Sightline Media Group, a holding of private equity firm Regent, which bought the media group in 2016 from Tegna.

A number of groups lobbied to improve public transit rather than build a new bridge. In a statement the court said it "dismissed the petition mandamus for the reasons that: (1) Court has no jurisdiction over the subject matter; (2) the petitioners have no standing to sue; and (3) they stand to suffer injury. Following Hartmann's identification of interstellar calcium absorption, interstellar sodium was detected by through the observation of stationary absorption from the atom's "D" lines at 589.0 and 589.6 nanometres towards Delta Orionis and Beta Scorpii. Large areas of glass on its façade meant that light coursed freely throughout the interior, and at night, the glass let the light from inside flood out onto the river, in contrast to the darkness which befell the rest of London after dusk. The hall originally seated 2,901. The cantilevered boxes are often described as looking like drawers pulled out in a hurried burglary, but none has a compromised sightline. Constitution Hill ( ) is a hill in the Welsh town of Aberystwyth, situated to the north of the town. The hill overlooks Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion, Wales, running between the town and the coastal settlements Borth and Clarach to the north. The site provides good views of the Aberystwyth, and the sightline extends as far as Snowdonia National Park and north Pembrokeshire. Since 1896, the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway has ascended to the hill's summit, and the summit features a camera obscura, which is a 1980s rebuild of a Victorian era building which was erected as part of the "Luna Park" recreation area.

Universal Creative's Phil Hettema and William Mason received inventor credits on the ride system patent, known as the SCOOP. Universal Creative employees Scott Trowbridge and Thierry Coup storyboarded a scene-by-scene breakdown of the ride that would be projected onto thirteen 30-foot tall projection screens integrated with physical sets. Because guests would be moving toward, away from, or past these 3D screens, animators had to consider the perspective shift that viewers would actually encounter if these really. They developed a new process they called "squinching", used to account for a viewer's moving sightline and distorting the animation to match.

Within the framework of the regional park initiative, a sculpture designed by the landscape architects Ipach and Dreisbusch was built north of Dreieichenhain and is part of the regional park route. This work, called the (Post Pyramid), is made up of 450 bonded round wooden posts, each in diameter. The sculpture is built in two sections and is accessible on foot. It forms a sightline with the Taunus and Frankfurt’s skyline. Buchschlag on Dreieich’s western outskirts has numerous buildings in the Art Nouveau style by such architects as Wilhelm Koban, Ludwig Bernoully and Alois Beck, which as a contiguous ensemble are under monumental protection.

A review by the Defence Research Policy Committee agreed with the Navy that the new design represented an entirely new class of weapon and that development should be undertaken. Two systems were considered for the role, Bristol's CF.299 design using a ramjet with a small rocket booster launching it up to speed, and an adaptation of the Army's Sightline project, which would emerge as Rapier. CF.299 was ultimately chosen. A 1966 report estimated that CF.299 would have two-shot kill probability (Pk) against an AS-2 Kipper missile of .8 to .9, whereas Seaslug II would manage only 0.35 to 0.55.

St. Joseph has been designated a Level III trauma center by the Texas Department of State Health Services. In 2012, St. Joseph opened a second hospital location at 1917 Ashland Street in the Houston Heights. The facility is located on the grounds of the former Heights Hospital. Health services have been offered on the grounds for much of the last several decades, but hospital acute and emergency services had not been offered at the location for nearly 20 years until St. Joseph opened there. In November 2015, St. Joseph Medical Center opened two offsite cancer centers in affiliation with Integrated Oncology Network, LLC and its subsidiary Sightline Health, LLC (“ION”).

Originally the Gewehr 98 sight line had an open post type front sight, and a curved tangent-type rear sight with a V-shaped rear notch, known as the Lange Visier (Lange sight after its designer Lieutenant Colonel Lange). The rear sight was graduated for 1888 pattern M/88 cartridges from to in increments. The M/88 cartridge was loaded with full metal jacket projectiles of the round-nosed type. The standard open iron sight aiming elements consisted of relatively coarse rugged aiming elements making the sightline suitable for rough handling and low light usage, but less suitable for aiming at small point targets.

The vessel was renamed Fortune and temporarily repaired for being towed to China for final repairs and refurbishing, including 5,000 tonnes of new steel and a new accommodation block. The ship was repaired at COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard in Liuhen Dao Island in China in 2007-2008. In the course of the repairs the stern tube was confirmed to be nearly 100 mm lower than the main engine thrust sightline. With the technical assistance of Tecnitas of Bureau Veritas and BF Consultant of France, the ship repair yard straightened the hull and brought the stern tube back in line, for it to be final machined at a later stage of the rebuilding of the vessel.

In an article published by the science journal Nature, Gert van Tonder and Michael Lyons analyze the rock garden by generating a model of shape analysis (medial axis) in early visual processing. Using this model, they show that the empty space of the garden is implicitly structured, and is aligned with the temple's architecture. According to the researchers, one critical axis of symmetry passes close to the centre of the main hall, which is the traditionally preferred viewing point. In essence, viewing the placement of the stones from a sightline along this point brings a shape from nature (a dichotomously branched tree with a mean branch length decreasing monotonically from the trunk to the tertiary level) in relief.

Fortin barometers use a variable displacement mercury cistern, usually constructed with a thumbscrew pressing on a leather diaphragm bottom (V in the diagram). This compensates for displacement of mercury in the column with varying pressure. To use a Fortin barometer, the level of mercury is set to zero by using the thumbscrew to make an ivory pointer (O in the diagram) just touch the surface of the mercury. The pressure is then read on the column by adjusting the vernier scale so that the mercury just touches the sightline at Z.. Some models also employ a valve for closing the cistern, enabling the mercury column to be forced to the top of the column for transport.

As Manager of the Glasgow Parks Department's Astronomy Project in 1978–79, Duncan Lunan supervised the building of the first astronomically aligned stone circle in Britain in 3,000 years in Sighthill Park. The conceptual inspiration for the circle came from Lunan's interest in the works of Professor Alexander Thom and his son Dr. Archie Thom, who promoted the understanding of megalithic astronomy, and the subsequent expansion of their work by Dr. Ewan McKie and Professor Archie Roy. The location of the stone circle, on a low hilltop between tower blocks, the M8 motorway and an incinerator, at a first sight seems hardly ideal. However, Lunan has written that the clear sightline to the sky and a fine view of the city center met the project's objectives.

His early work was on the sub-class of active galactic nuclei called BL Lac objects, now thought to be highly luminous and variable extragalactic sources where our sightline looks nearly down the spin axis of a supermassive black hole emitting twin relativistic jets. Police POV was an American documentary television series that aired on TruTV and shows police officers in action from a unique perspective: as if the viewer is watching the action through the eyes of the police officer (or from their Point of View.) While it is common practice for police activities to be recorded for training purposes or to be used in a trial, the act is most often performed with fixed cameras mounted on the dashboard of a police vehicle or through the use of a videographer holding a hand-held camera. Police POV instead uses headset-style cameras called an AXON camera with the recording lens close enough to the wearer's eye to give the viewer a direct sightline of the events. The show featured officers from the Cincinnati, Fort Smith, and Chattanooga police departments.

In his first substantial comment on the incident, Hansson spoke to the regional Swedish newspaper Sydöstran on 24 November. Also, despite its small size (it never seated more than 58,000), because of the stadium's design and the proximity of the fans to the field when configured for football, the stadium was extremely loud when the usual sell-out Redskins crowds became vocal. Legend has it that Redskins head coach George Allen would order a large rolling door in the side of the stadium to be opened when visiting teams were attempting field goals at critical moments in games so that a swirling wind from off the Potomac and Anacostia rivers might interfere with the flight of the kicked ball. Since the stadium is on a direct sightline with the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol, light towers were not allowed; instead, arc lights were placed on its curved, dipping roof. Events D.C.—the city agency which operates RFK Stadium—began a strategic planning process in November 2013 to study options for the future of the stadium, its campus and the nonmilitary portions of the adjacent D.C.
