Fuller later recorded and released the song to some minor success in the US (#90) and Canadian Country charts in 1979. The Walker Brothers' recording of "Lines" failed to chart, their first to miss the UK Singles Chart since their début "Pretty Girls Everywhere" in 1965. The B-side "First Day" was written by John Walker under the pseudonym A. Dayam.
He captained the Athletics squad in 1911 and in the same year played for the first XI cricket squad. In this same cricket side, he played alongside future England captain, Arthur Gilligan, the future Essex wicket-keeper Frank Gilligan and R. K. Nunes; the future captain of the West Indies. Eclipsing these sporting achievements was his record as a rugby player. He was in the side first XV from 1908 and was in the unbeaten first XV rugby union squad in 1909; which contained five future internationals dubbed the 'Famous Five'.
Group 4 Egypt were to play Romania in December 1937 however Egypt refused to play Romania due a Financial Problems Another Story says Egypt refused to play Romania during the Ramadan month, Egyptian officials had argued it was "impossible" to play football during that time period. Ravel Peak () is an isolated peak, rising to about 1,300 m, surmounting Debussy Heights situated in the northern portion of Alexander Island, Antarctica. The peak is markedly pyramid shaped when viewed from the east side. First mapped from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947–48, by Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1960. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) after Maurice Ravel (1875–1937), French composer and in association with the nearby landforms named after composers in this area.
President George H.W. Bush also altered the card, moving the heading "The White House, Washington" back to the right hand corner, removing the view of the White House and adding a raised presidential seal in blue on the card's left side. First Ladies also used the cards to fulfill autograph requests. Occasionally, other family members, such as Margaret Truman Daniel, as well as staff members, signed them as well. There is one known example signed by Edward, Prince of Wales, during a visit to the White House during the Coolidge Administration.

At the Funai 250 at Richmond International Raceway, Hmiel was involved in several on track incidents, beginning on lap 103 when he spun the lapped car of Randy MacDonald. Late in the race with 5 laps to go, Hmiel was involved in an accident with Jason Keller. Hmiel was moved out of line down the backstretch, then slipped up into Keller in turn three, sending Keller's 57 car into the wall driver's side first. Hmiel was fined $5,000 and placed on probation for an altercation in the garage area after the race with Keller.
Carnegie's management locked the workforce out, declaring that the union would no longer be recognized at the steel works. To break the strike and secure the mill from the disgruntled workers, industrialist Henry Clay Frick hired hundreds of armed toughs from the Pinkerton National Detective Agency. When barges carrying the Pinkertons arrived at the mill on the morning of July 6, workers and townspeople met them at the riverbanks. Though eyewitness accounts differed on which side first fired a shot, a day- long armed battle ensued which resulted in eleven deaths and dozens of injuries.
Crossing under the Queensboro Bridge and entering the Upper East Side, First Avenue runs through a number of residential areas. It serves as one of the main shopping streets of the Yorkville neighborhood, historically a working class German and Hungarian neighborhood, today a wealthy enclave of upper-class residents. In this district, First Avenue is also known as "Bedpan Alley" (a play on "Tin Pan Alley") because of the large number of hospitals located nearby. Crossing 96th Street, First Avenue runs through Spanish Harlem, a historically Puerto Rican neighborhood.
With both sides in the "cold war" having nuclear capability, an arms race developed, with the Soviet Union attempting first to catch up and then to surpass the Americans."More accurate than the "race" metaphor is the observation that if it was a contest at all, the Americans walked while the Soviets trotted. There was race-but to the extent that there was an arms competition, it was almost entirely on the Soviets side, first to catch up and then to surpass the Americans." --Herman Kahn (1962) Thinking about the Unthinkable, Horizon Press.

However, O'Farrell departed after 158 days in charge after being appointed manager of the Iran national side. First team coach Jimmy Andrews took over as caretaker manager and impressed after ensuring the club avoided relegation at the end of the 1973–74 season. He was given the role on a permanent basis only to suffer relegation to the Third Division in his first season but was able to win promotion a year later.

Watson started his career playing for his local team in his home parish of Ecclesfield. From there he transferred to Rotherham Swifts in the summer of 1889. The Swifts found themselves in financial difficulties over the course of the season and Watson was sold, along with fellow former Ecclesfield players Rab Howell and Michael Whitham, to recently formed Sheffield United in March 1890. Small, fast and with a hard shot Watson was a regular in the Blades side for the following three seasons as the side first entered The Football League.
We show the 2003 table later in this article; we present the left side first for convenient screen display. The U.S. report (updated quarterly) is available in several forms, including interactive, from links on the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) NIPA () page. Other countries report based on their own adopted system of National accounts which are frequently based on the U.S. NIPAs, the widely adopted United Nations System of National Accounts, or their own custom approach. The level of detail (granularity) accounted for internally, and reported publicly, varies widely across countries.
Junior Sean Ochinko was up next and singled through the left side. First-round draft pick Jared Mitchell stepped to the plate. With one swing of the bat he gave the Tigers the early lead sending a 3-run home run over the right field fence. In the bottom half of the inning, Ranaudo pitched around 2 singles and a walk to get out of a bases loaded jam with no damage done. In the second inning LSU extended their lead to 4–0 after piecing together 3 hits in the inning, but the lead did not last long.
S.K. Girdhari made his first-class debut in 1940-41 for Sind, playing principally as an off-spinner. In his second match, in 1941-42, batting at number 10, he made 93; thereafter he usually batted higher up the order. In 1944-45 for Western India against Gujarat he scored 44 and 149 and took 1 for 19 and 5 for 23. A few weeks later, in a 12-a-side first-class match, he took 8 for 60. He played for a Rest of India team against the India to England Touring Team in 1946-47.
During the First World War, he worked on the civilian side, first with the Ministry of Munitions and then in the Ministry of Reconstruction. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 1918 New Year Honours for his efforts. Though the remark is frequently attributed to others more famous, more reliable sources give him as the person who, when accosted by a woman during the First World War asking why he was not with the soldiers fighting to defend civilisation, replied: "Madam, I am the civilization they are fighting to defend."Bartlett's Book of Anecdotes, eds.

The shield on the New York side would pass through a caisson, which allowed air pressure in the tunnel to be maintained while the tube was being bored. Tunneling work would start on the New York side first because a construction shaft had already been sunk to the west of Eleventh Avenue, while the New Jersey shaft would be sunk later. Thirty-two ventilation buildings would be constructed, of which 15 would pull air into the tunnel, and 17 would exhaust air from the tunnel. The Port Authority received five bids for the construction of the Midtown Hudson Tunnel.
Two first stages are used when twin cylinders are used, or when a "Y" or "H" cylinder valve is used. A long hose is used for the primary, which is mounted on the right cylinder valve or right post of the "Y" or "H" valve. The right side first stage also supplies gas for the BC inflation hose, as this side is at a lower risk for roll-off. The left cylinder first stage supplies the backup second stage, which is routed over the right shoulder and stored on a necklace, the suit inflation hose, and the submersible pressure gauge.
The club played in the same division for the next 15 years, until they won promotion to the First Division, where they played until the end of the 2009–10 season. His leg-break and googly bowling was an instant success. In the Cambridge match, which was a 12-a-side first-class match, he took eight wickets for 70 runs, including a second innings analysis of five for 39. He improved on those figures in the 11-a-side match against Oxford, taking six for 60 and four for 32 for match figures of 10 for 92. Somerset signed him up and he played in eight first-class matches for the side in the latter stages of the 1913 season, but he was unable to repeat his Eastbourne success, and took only 14 wickets in these games.
During the tour, Swann aligned himself with Blood Warriors' rival stable, Junction Three. On July 24, Swann unsuccessfully challenged Naoki Tanizaki for the Blood Warriors Authorized Open the Brave Gate Championship. On August 6, Swann and Junction Three stablemate Gamma entered the 2011 Summer Adventure Tag League, but were eliminated in their first round match by Blood Warriors representatives Naruki Doi and Yasushi Kanda. During the tour, Swann also got to show his comedic side, first working under the ring name "Rich Ichikawa", and then as "Swann Hansen" in a match on November 5, where he defeated Stalker Ichikawa for the Open the Owarai Gate Championship, Dragon Gate's comedy wrestling title.
The Algermissen side first came to note in the 1932–33 season when they took part in playoff competition in the top flight regional Oberliga Südhannover/Braunschweig. The following season German football was restructured under the Third Reich into 16 first division leagues and SV became part of the Gauliga Niedersachsen (I) where they played as a mid- to upper table side over a handful of campaigns. The team took part in the opening round of the Tschammerpokal, predecessor to the current day DFB-Pokal (German Cup), in 1936 but were quickly eliminated by Werder Bremen. In 1939 they finished their Gauliga in 10th place and were relegated.
Following World War II on 9 November 1945 the club merged with Turnverein 1861 Amberg to form Turn- und Spielverein Amberg. The union was short-lived and the two clubs went their separate ways on 15 July 1949 with the former VfL reorganizing as 1. FC Amberg. The club won the local Oberpfalz championship in 1948 and originally qualified for the new Amateurliga, but, because it used an ineligible player, it was denied promotion. The Amberger side first came to note in the 1951–52 season, capturing the Amateurliga Bayern (III) title, but failing in their attempt to advance through a promotion playoff to the 2.
The club was initially formed as Alzenauer Fußball Club and joined gymnastics club Turn- und Sport Alzenau as that club's football department on 16 September 1922 before again becoming independent in 1923 as FC Bayern Alzenau. Since 1983 the club has played as a fifth tier side, first in the Landesliga Bayern-Nord and later in the Landesliga Hessen-Süd. Like the nearby club Viktoria Aschaffenburg, FC Bayern Alzenau is a Bavarian side playing in the state league of Hesse against closer, neighbouring cities.

Indirect damage to the sixth nerve can be caused by any process (brain tumor, hydrocephalus, pseudotumor cerebri, hemorrhage, edema) that exerts downward pressure on the brainstem, causing the nerve to stretch along the clivus. This type of traction injury can affect either side first. A right-sided brain tumor can produce either a right-sided or a left-sided sixth nerve palsy as an initial sign. Thus a right-sided sixth nerve palsy does not necessarily imply a right-sided cause. Sixth nerve palsies are infamous as “false localizing signs.” Neurological signs are described as “false localizing” if they reflect dysfunction distant or remote from the expected anatomical location of pathology.
Gordon then made contact with David Gilliland, getting him loose, then came down and collected 14 more cars, including Allmendinger, Kahne, Sadler, Casey Mears, Kurt Busch, Mark Martin, Max Papis, Jamie McMurray, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Scott Riggs, and Bobby Labonte. Martin, who had won the Phoenix race the previous week, took a very hard hit, as his car went over the hood of Riggs', smashed into the wall driver's side first, and got fishtailed by Kahne as his came to a rest on the infield. Bowyer and Gilliland also went head-on into the outside wall. Under this caution, Speed got the free pass.

A memorial golf outing and a 77-lap memorial race (at Riverhead Raceway) are run in his honor Tommy Baldwin Racing (run by his son) also switched when available to No. 7 (with a "7NY" design) to honor his father.
On February 8, 2018, Kennedy was charged with vehicular homicide as a result of his involvement in a single-vehicle collision on August 30, 2017, when Kennedy was driving over the speed limit while under the influence, on his native Vashon Island, Washington. Kennedy lost control of the car, skidded off the road, and slammed passenger side-first into a tree, instantly killing its front seat passenger, 45-year-old Preston "P-Stone" Maigetter, a married father of two sons and a popular videographer for Thrasher magazine. Another passenger suffered a fractured foot. Kennedy was uninjured; his blood alcohol level was approximately 0.10 at the time of the crash – over the state's legal limit of 0.08.
During the early part of Jack Charlton's era, he played as a defensive midfielder, due to the wealth of talent Ireland had in defence. In UEFA Euro 1988, as the national side first qualified for an international tournament, McGrath was present in the 1–0 group stage win against England. In 1990, Ireland qualified for its first FIFA World Cup, in 1990 in Italy, eventually reaching the quarter-finals, where they lost to the hosts (1–0 in Rome), with McGrath ever present in the lineups (five matches, 480 minutes played). He captained the team four times in 1992 after the retirement of Mick McCarthy, and ignored a painful shoulder virus to play in the 1994 World Cup.
The Argun river served as a Sino-Russian border since the 1689 treaty of Nerchinsk but was hardly policed in a meaningful way. While the Russians erected Cossack posts (ostrogi) in the Transbaikal region, the Qing dynasty was for a long time not interested in development of their side of the border. After the Decembrist revolt of 1825, political prisoners were sent to the Nerchinsk area. Some of them are said to have escaped from Katorga(penal labor) across the river and to have married indigenous women. Since the 1870s, Cossacks began grazing their cattle on the Chinese side, first along the Khaul river which is closest to Russia, only a day’s ride away from the Russian settlements.
Charles Albert Bernard (1876–1953) was a first-class cricketer who made 33 appearances for Somerset between 1896 and 1901. He made his top-score of 122 in the first-innings of the 1900 County Championship match against Hampshire at the County Ground, Southampton. Bernard first played for Somerset in a 12-a-side first-class match with Oxford University in 1896, batting in the lower order without success. He reappeared in the Somerset side in 1899 and was successful as a middle-order batsman: in his second match in the new role, he scored 79 and shared a partnership of 167 with Sammy Woods for the fifth wicket in the match against Kent.
Jean Faucounau, 1975 considers the script as the original invention of a Cycladic and maritime Aegean people, the proto-Ionians, who had picked up the idea of a syllabic acrophonic script from Egypt at the time of the VIth Dynasty. He interprets the text as "proto-Ionic" Greek in syllabic writing. Reading A-side first, inwards, he deciphers a (funerary) hymn to one Arion, child of Argos, destroyer of Iasos. The language is a Greek dialect, written with considerable phonological ambiguities, comparable to the writing of Mycenean Greek in Linear B, hand-crafted by Faucounau to suit his reading, among other things postulating change of digamma to y and loss of labiovelars, but retention of Indo-European -sy- (in the genitive singular -osyo, Homeric -oio).
While the Italian version, translated by lyricist Nino Rastelli and recorded in 1942 by Lina Termini, was probably the first to be released, the earliest English language recording of the song was probably Anne Shelton's, but a number of cover versions followed. A version called "The D-Day Dodgers" with words by Harry Pynn was sung by the allied troops in Italy once the Normandy invasion had begun in 1944. A recording was made by Perry Como on 27 June 1944 and issued by RCA Victor on 78 rpm (catalog number 20-1592-A) with the flip side "First Class Private Mary Brown". This recording was later re-issued as catalog number 20-2824-A with flip side "I Love You Truly".

Nadeau finished thirty- seventh in the Winston Cup points standings for that season. He partnered sports car driver Anthony Lazzaro with the Rand Racing team in the Rolex Sports Car Series to finish first in the SRPII (Sports Racing Prototype) class at Daytona International Speedway, and in the Busch Series, he finished twentieth at the fall Charlotte race. Nadeau started the 2003 season as the driver of the MB2/MBV Motorsports No. 01 Pontiac Grand Prix, and quickly had a fourth-place finish at Texas. On May 2, 2003, during a practice session at Richmond International Raceway for the Pontiac Excitement 400, Nadeau was leading the practice session when he suddenly swerved to avoid a slowing car, spun in turn one and hit the wall, driver's side first, at high speed.
The opposition were also accused of overly physical play by the Cardiff players during a 3–2 victory for the Czechs. A second match against the same opponents saw Cardiff win by the same scoreline before the team continued their tour by beating Austrian side First Vienna 2–0 in front of an estimated crowd of 60–70,000 people. The tour concluded with matches against German sides Borussia Dortmund and Hamburger SV. Cardiff defeated Dortmund 2–0 before being held to a 2–2 draw by Hamburger. Although the side ultimately missed out on the league title, their second-placed finish saw ticket sales increase greatly ahead of the new season with both the Grange and Canton stands being sold out and the rest of the ground largely full.

The racism that defined the early twentieth century made it so black women were oppressed from every side: first, for their status as women, and then again for their race. Many politically engaged African- American women were primarily invested in matters of racial equality, with suffrage later materializing as a secondary goal. The Seneca Falls Convention, widely lauded as the first women’s rights convention, is often considered the precursor to the racial schism within the women’s suffrage movement; the Seneca Falls Declaration put forth a political analysis of the condition of upper-class, married women, but did not address the struggles of working-class white women or black women. Well into the twentieth century, a pattern emerged of segregated political activism, as black and white women organized separately due to class and racial tensions within the overall movement, and a fundamental difference in movement goals and political consciousness.
The Neretva receives only four small streams in this section, all running through these side-vales, which are relatively short. Going downstream from Jablanica, first two from each side are the Glogošnica stream, its eponymous canyon and small village, at the left, and the Grabovica stream with eponymous canyon and historical village, from the right side. Further downstream two much larger vales appear again on each side, first on the right the stream of Drežanka and its large and steep valley, with two eponymous villages, Donja (Lower) and Gornja (Upper) Drežnica, and than Mostarska Bijela, as one the most pristine vales in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its eponymous uniquely characteristic subterranean stream, embedded deep into the Prenj mountain, on the left. Although these streams are of low outflow, there are also numerous wellsprings rising on both sides of the canyon at the river banks, with high-capacity discharge.
French empire (French troops landing in Madagascar in 1895). Bismarck had supported France becoming a republic in 1871, knowing that this would isolate the defeated nation in Europe where most countries were monarchies. In an effort to break this isolation, France went to great pains to woo Russia and the United Kingdom to its side, first by means of the Franco-Russian Alliance of 1894, then the 1904 Entente Cordiale with the U.K, and finally, with the signing of the Anglo-Russian Entente in 1907 this became the Triple Entente, which eventually led France and the UK to enter World War I as Allies when Germany declared war on Russia. Distrust of Germany, faith in the army and anti-semitism in parts of the French public opinion combined to make the Dreyfus affair (the unjust trial and condemnation of a Jewish military officer for treason) a political scandal of the utmost gravity.
Frederick William Kingston (24 December 1855 – 30 January 1933) was an English clergyman, schoolmaster and cricketer who played a few first-class cricket matches for Cambridge University and amateur sides in 1878 and 1886. He was born in Oundle, Northamptonshire and died at Willington, Bedfordshire. Fred Kingston was the eldest of seven brothers who played first-class cricket or other cricket just below first-class level – several of them, including Fred, played for Northamptonshire in years before and, in Hubert's case, just after the side's accession to first-class status in 1905. A right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper, Fred Kingston's first match while he was a student at Pembroke College, Cambridge, came for an England XI against the university side, and a few weeks later he played for a team calling itself "The Gentlemen of England" in a 12-a-side first-class match against Oxford University at Oxford in which he scored 61 in the middle order.
However, Whitehouse returned to the team for the last four games of the league season, as well as the FA Cup semi-final and final; they won all six games, with Whitehouse conceding just three goals in the process. Aston Villa were confirmed as the winners of both the league and cup, the first team to win the Double since Preston North End went undefeated throughout the 1888–89 season. Whitehouse played in the first three matches of the following season, but a prolonged absence meant he missed the next two- and-a-half months, losing his place in the side first to Wilkes and then to Billy George. He returned at the start of December 1897 and played through to the end of the season, but he was unable to prevent Villa from finishing in sixth place in the league, nor from exiting the FA Cup in the first round, following a 1–0 away defeat to Derby County.
31 March 2019: As April arises, Liverpool remain top of the Premier League, but now have played a game more than Manchester City, who have the Manchester derby as their game in hand. Spurs, now very vulnerable, and Manchester United, now appointed Ole Gunnar Solkjaer permanently, complete the top four. Leicester, now managed by Brendan Rodgers, are closer to 7th placed Wolves and are alongside Watford for the race for that place. Huddersfield have become the second ever side (first since Derby in 2008) to get relegated from the Premier League before the end of March, and Fulham look likely in joining them in the Championship. Only Cardiff City have a realistic chance of surviving, while Burnley, Southampton, and Brighton aren’t safe yet.
