In reality, Albert Square is based on the real Fassett Square in Hackney, but there is no pub there so The Queen Victoria is based on what was once College Park Tavern on Harrow Road in Harlesden. Initially, the pub's exterior is first seen painted brown. This is later changed to a green and cream colour scheme in late 1990, before Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) sets alight to the Queen Victoria in 1992, after which it is painted red. Following another blaze in 2010, the pub is painted red, green and cream.

After rescuing Christine, the Doctor links his mind to Dudoin's ship to shut it down, but he passes out in the process. However, he first raises the oxygen level which causes the Kulan led by Fray'kon to faint, but Fray'kon escapes. Tyler then uses the DVD with the Kulan virus to destroy the systems, and the cabin sets alight, killing the Kulan aboard and Dudoin himself. Returning to Britain, the Doctor helps Tyler complete his rocket so he can return Sa'Motta to the invasion fleet to order the abortion of the invasion.

The Spectre gathers Harley Quinn, Green Lantern, Azrael and John Constantine together to investigate the activities of a mysterious man with no face known as Agent 37, asking them to recall their meetings with him. Constantine explains that, while looking into some local disappearances, he came across a nest of vampires who were holding an attractive man captive. The man, who had no face, allowed the vampires to feed on him and, assuming he had been drained and killed, Constantine attacked the nest to gain revenge. Agent 37 suddenly awakens and reveals that his skin was coated in nanobots that he then sets alight killing the vampires before calling for Matron to retrieve him.

ATTEMPT & ACCOMPLICES ACTUS REUS and MENS REA: THE CONTEMPORANEITY RULE Where fault (mens rea) is an element of the crime charged, the unlawful conduct and the fault must exist contemporaneously. In other words, the wrongdoer must intend to commit or be negligent in the commission of the crime at the time that the crime is being committed. Thus a person will not be guilty of murder if, "whilst he is driving to Y's house in order to kill him there, he negligently runs over somebody, and it later transpires that the deceased is Y." Likewise, it is not murder if a person kills another accidentally and "later expresses his joy at having killed him." The contemporaneity rule has been in issue in cases where the accused intends to kill another and, having inflicted what he thinks is a fatal wound on that other person, he then disposes of the body or sets alight to the building in which the body lies.
