This advocacy work looks like sensitisation campaigns, lobbying for national policy, and consulting for the development of international guidelines.

She established a national network of local NGOs for sensitisation and the dissemination of information on sustainable development and peace building, and a coordinating body, comprising six organisations and six prominent Algerian women, to promote the different mandates of the AWCPD. She is also in constant communication with her President for his support of AWCPD objectives and activities. Ms Karadja is the President of the Association Nationale de Soutien aux Enfants en Difficulté en Institution (ANSEDI). ANSEDI has created a psychological and social care unit which provides basic necessities and psychological treatment to victims of violence.

Iris Verification Center is a UNHCR funded center for Afghan returnees, the technology was introduced by UNHCR-Pakistan in 2002 to counter fraud attempts. The Iris Verification process takes an image of an iris, storing it in the form of a number without recording the name, gender, age or destination. Because of the cultural sensitivity, female Afghan returnees are checked by UNHCR women employees to ensure their faces are not seen by male staff. A sensitisation campaign was carried out among Afghan refugees living in camps and urban areas of Pakistan by UNHCR before the introduction of the iris verification system.

However, there have been advances in the technological sector in the last decades, which either meant additional waste streams entering the recycling chain, or more sophisticated sorting procedures that ameliorated the rate of products actually recycled. In the decade from 1995 to 2005, about ~22% more newspapers have been recycled each year. At the same time, more than half a billion cans have been added to the recycling chain. A current issue is also the lack in households education on the matter, but a number of campaigns such as National recycling week are working on their sensitisation.

Normally, no extra medical intervention is required when maternal Rh status is RhD+, nor RhD- mothers going through first pregnancy. However, in the case of a sensitised RhD- mother (previously conceived an RhD+ child) and the foetus being Rh+, medication such as anti-D immunoglobulin will be given to the RhD- mother. Injecting RhD- mother with anti-D immunoglobulin has been proven effective in avoiding the sensitisation of RhD+ antigen, even though the mechanism of how this medication works remains obscure. Anti-D immunoglobulin injection is also offered to RhD- individuals who have been mistakenly transfused with RhD+ blood.

The SCHER provide the Commission with the scientific advice on questions relating to the toxicity and ecotoxicity of chemicals, biochemicals and biological compounds whose use may have harmful consequences for human health and the environment. In particular, the SCHER addresses questions in relation to new and existing chemicals, the restriction and marketing of dangerous substances, biocides, waste, environmental contaminants, plastics and other materials used for water pipe work (e.g. new organic substances), drinking water, indoor and ambient air quality. In practice, the compounds mainly responsible for platinum sensitisation are typically the soluble, ionic, platinum-chloro compounds such as ammonium hexachloroplatinate and tetrachloroplatinate, and hexachloroplatinic acid. Other ionic halogeno compounds are also sensitisers, the order of allergenicity being Cl > Br > I. Neutral compounds such as cis-platin and ammine and nitro complexes such as [Pt(NH3)4]Cl2, K2[Pt(NO2)4] and platinum nitrate are not considered to be allergenic; neither is the metal.

The same study showed that injured squid begin escape responses earlier and continue these for longer for up to 48 hours after injury. In 2014, the adaptive value of sensitisation due to injury was tested using the predatory interactions between longfin inshore squid and black sea bass (Centropristis striata) which are natural predators of this squid. If injured squid are targeted by a bass, they began their defensive behaviours sooner (indicated by greater alert distances and longer flight initiation distances) than uninjured squid.

In 2001, during the Paris-Dakar rally, the Government of Morocco decided to organise the rally through the Western Sahara, creating severe tension with the self-proclaimed territory. The network of North African women immediately responded, and coordinated sensitisation meetings with the women of Western Sahara to encourage them to settle the dispute in a peaceful manner. In this way, the network effectively contributed to the prevention of conflict in the region. At an international level, Ms Karadja has participated in numerous conferences, including the 1999 AU General Assembly, the Forum for African Women in Algeria, the 2001 and 2002 Civil Society and AU conferences in Addis Ababa, and the World Conference on Peace and Solidarity in 2002.

Although statistics on arrests under Section 8 are not kept, the government and some NGOs report that, through sensitisation and training, police officers no longer use this provision of the law; it is unclear whether arrests of women in prostitution under Section 8 have actually decreased. Because most law enforcement authorities lack formal procedures to identify trafficking victims among women arrested for prostitution; some victims may be arrested and punished for acts committed as a result of being trafficked. Some foreign victims trafficked to India are not subject to removal. Those who are subject to removal are not offered legal alternatives to removal to countries in which they may face hardship or retribution.

In the US, anaphylaxis rates are so low that some anaesthetists question the existence of such reactions to NMBAs. Conversely, Australian anaesthetists have requested a ban on pholcodine due to the high anaphylaxis rate in the country. However, the Therapeutic Goods Administration declined the request in January 2015, pending further reviews to follow. In contrast, the European Medicines Agency's 2012 "Assessment report for Pholcodine containing medicinal products" concludes this: The Committee considered that evidence of an association between pholcodine use and development of NMBA- related anaphylaxis is circumstantial, not entirely consistent and therefore does not support the conclusion that there is a significant risk of cross- sensitisation to NMBAs and subsequent development of anaphylaxis during surgery.

The park employs 70 permanent employees of whom 95% are recruited locally. The park surveillance team consisted of 36 guards in early 2014. During the annual marine turtle nesting season between October and March, an additional 30 people are recruited locally to monitor the beaches. The park is divided into three zones: # An integrally protected zone that is only legally accessible for park staff, guided paying tourists and researchers with valid permits; # An eco- development zone containing all legal human habitations, in which residents are allowed to use natural resources sustainably for subsistence, and in which industrial exploitation is allowed with the agreement of the appropriate government institutions; # A 5 km wide buffer zone around the park designated for environmental education, sensitisation efforts and socio-economic activities.

Through the immediacy of the newly conceived stages in the Box and Café Publik and through the numerous workshops and labs on the two rehearsal stages, all these formats have offered visitors the opportunity to participate intensively in the artistic events. With various participatory projects it has been possible to include people of all age groups in artistic processes and to promote their involvement with social issues, their creative attitude to and sensitisation for music and dance. Café Publik, curated by Andreas Fränzl, was opened in September 2009 and has already established itself as a performance venue, a workshop and communication platform. With DUSIB, Enactus SSCBS has become the first student body in Delhi to be allocated four toilet complexes in Sultanpuri and Kirti Nagar slums for holistic growth and upkeep of the local community. Under Project Raahat, the management of Community Toilet Complexes (CTCs) is undertaken by the students, including aspects relating to operational management, aesthetic modification and sensitisation activities. Project Raahat aims to eradicate open defecation and provide safe sanitation facilities to the urban slum dwellers of Delhi. They come up with innovative measures for management of toilet complexes, incorporate aesthetic modification and sensitize people on healthy sanitary practices. The idea sprung from an older project called ‘Sanitary Solutions’ in which they were educating people living in slums about healthy and hygienic practices like the use of sanitary napkins, etc.

Chazika Munthali, the principal accountant in the Office of President and Cabinet, was charged with approving three vouchers totaling MK 1 billion (~US$2.3 million) to International Procurement Services, a company belonging to one Osward Lutepo, a senior official in the ruling People's Party and Deputy Director of Recruitment and Sensitisation, who eventually became the prime Cashgate suspect. The high-profile arrests continued through October and November, with two other suspects arrested over payments received despite no services provided. By November, more than 50 people had been arrested in connection with the scandal, and on 8 November, the former Justice Minister Ralph Kasambara was arrested for allegedly masterminding the shooting of Paul Mphwiyo. Arun along with his team EFI is credited in cleaning many lakes in Tamil Nadu with majority of them in Chennai district. Different methods were employed for scientific restoration such as including "G" shaped central island for aquatic species, percolation trenches for effective water harvesting, reef bed for growing plankton and installation of decentralised water treatment plant in case of Selvachintamani Kulam lake in Coimbatore. It had also included entire lake division into patches and removal of wastes such as glass, plastic, poultry waste and construction debris from Madambakkam lake, repeated clean up of physical garbage with study of the soil pattern and the quality of water in Keezhkattalai lake along with the awareness and mass sensitisation campaign created among the people. The funding for the restoration had also been done through crowdsourcing with support from the local corporation as well.

This support includes distribution of non-food items, construction of shelters to persons with specific needs (PSNs) and psychosocial support to vulnerable refugees. Vulnerable groups supported by this sector include the elderly, people with disabilities, single parents, unaccompanied/separated children, as well as other men, elderly persons, women at risk, persons with medical conditions, children at risk and more generally women and children in the settlement. It is also involved in the capacity building of refugee leaders, and mobilising of communities for community works such as building PSN houses, classrooms, water point maintenance and community roads. The sector is also responsible for mobilization for other sector activities including health and WASH and the community mobilization and sensitisation for the celebration of international days such as International Women’s Day, World Refugee Day and 16 days of activism.

Draft guidelines of the state policy to combat trafficking was prepared by Prajwala, and after state-level cabinet member approval, the policy was brought forth as GO Ms 1 on Jan 1, 2003. In 2013, Prajwala lobbied extensively for an anti-trafficking policy in Kerala called the Nirbhaya Fund Scheme for Women and Children, and Ms. Sunitha Krishnan became the state advisor for this groundbreaking policy. She was also appointed as a member of the Andhra Pradesh State Women's Commission and contributed to India's new Bill on Rape, which was passed in Parliament in 2013 to increase punitive measures for sexual violence and assault. Furthermore, Ms. Sunitha Krishnan has conducted sensitisation workshops for thousands of senior police officers, judges, prosecutors and Child Welfare Committee members to equip them with the requisite understanding and skills to effectively handle cases of human trafficking and advocate for child-friendly courts.

When studying abroad in Germany, Yu has found a transparent chemical fabric, solid and with closely, woven meshes, which could be seen through from front to back. This kid of fabric, after slightly processing, can be a painting medium. Its transparency implicates the creation of a hybrid dimension that consists of both the virtual space created through the artist's brush stokes and the physical space in front and behind the canvas. The painted net between the subject and the observer, the incisiveness of the chiaroscuro and the round thicker layers of colour tidily painted by the artist at regular distance collaborate to intensify this effect. The "spatialisation“ and "sensitisation“ of painting have already become a new trend of this era, and this group of transparent paintings by Yu just corresponds to this new indication, being of great inspiration for the development of painting methods.

Again he was posted as Joint Commissioner of Police - North Chennai to handle the issue of Advocate - Police clash in the High Court of Madras. On promotion as Inspector General of Police, he worked as Additional Commissioner of Police - Headquarters and Additional Commissioner of Police - Traffic in Greater Chennai Police, Chennai, Chief Vigilance Officer in Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation (Aavin), Chennai and on promotion as ADGP in December 2016, continued to work as Chief Vigilance Officer in Aavin till May 2017 and then transferred as the Additional Director General of Police - Headquarters, as staff officer to the DGP/Hopf of TN. Since June 2019, he has been working as the Additional Director General of Police - Crime against Women and Children (CWC), Chennai. Under his leadership, many new initiatives and innovative measures were taken to address the grievances of women and children through awareness campaigns, training programs, and sensitisation.

We engage with men and boys through series of gender sensitisation trainings, leadership workshops, public service messaging, work closely with media and encourage them to spread awareness on topics such as the importance of sharing the household workload, ending sexual harassment of women and girls, gender equality etc. CEQUIN conducted cutting edge research and advocacy on gender based violence in public spaces in 2010, leading to the organizing of a National Level Conference in partnership with NCW and UNDP on the issue, followed by the publication of the book “The Fear that Stalks” by Zubaan Books in 2012. Many of the recommendations flagged by CEQUIN were incorporated in the Justice Verma Committee Report and the Criminal Law Amendment Act. CEQUIN was selected as one of the NGOs to run the Awaz Uthao Campaign pilot project by the Govt of NCT Delhi. CEQUIN pioneered the sports for development model for adolescent girls’ empowerment using football in 2011 and our successful models have been implemented in Delhi and Haryana.

Currently, the program funded by the Global Fund is leading the national response to fight HIV and AIDS. Bangladesh had received 3 grants on HIV/AIDS from The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria: Round 2 from 2004 to 2009, Round 6 from 2007 to 2012 and Rolling Continuation Channel (RCC) from 2009 to 2015. The Round 2 grant focused mainly on prevention of HIV among young people with strategies including: # HIV/AIDS prevention messages dissemination through information campaign in mass and print media # HIV/AIDS orientation, training and services via Life skills education, Youth Friendly Health services and accessing condom # Integration of HIV/AIDS in school and college curriculum # Advocacy and sensitisation of religious leaders, parents and policy makers # Generating information for policies and programs. The main focus of the Round 6 grant was on most at risk populations and scaling up of the Round 2 project including interventions with vulnerable youth.

Apart from the Kalleone Group of Company, comprising a musical recording studio, radio station, newspaper, sportshops, old Skool night club, pharmacy and FC Kallon, Mohamed Kallon is also about to launch his charity foundation, the MKCF, Mohamed Kallon Children's Foundation, which will cater for the needs of hundreds of Sierra Leone's street children.Kallon Group Foundation Recently Mohamed Kallon told SierraEye Magazine that as a boy himself who grew up in the streets of Freetown he is moved by the state of Sierra Leone Street Children and want to do all he can to help them. The foundation has made headways recently meeting with the president and working together with the United Nations and other NGOs to provide help for several Sierra Leonean children and also aiding the HIV/AIDS sensitisation programme in Sierra Leone. x The setting up of MKCF by Kallon gained massive media coverage and even the BBC reported on it.

This was broadcast live from Washington DC by The Stream, a social media community with its own daily TV show on Al Jazeera English. Through her film, 'But What Was She Wearing?' which touches upon the rampant sexual harassment of women in the unorganised sectors such as construction and farm labour, highlighting the glaring lack of structure for redressal that one finds in larger corporate firms, she endeavours to educate (through collaborations with organisations and NGO) such women about their rights by screening the film in small towns of India. Through this film and all the press coverage on it, Vaishnavi's team hopes to get the attention of policy-makers and force amendments in the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, in order to make the law more potent and practical, instead of the toothless paper-legislation that it is today. The film is already scheduled to screen in multiple colleges in India as part of the sensitisation program in these educational institutes.
