His human form is a young man who wears a grey mesh shirt over a black undershirt. Unlike the other Greeed, Gamel uses his body to create his large animal-based Yummy by inserting a Cell Medal into his own forehead upon observing a particular behavior he wants to mimic, thus satiating his own desires with the created Yummy being composed of a single Cell Medal. Because of his easily duped nature, Gamel was used as the subject of an experiment by Kazari, who gave him most of Mezool's Core Medals along with several of Uva's.
However, he soon dies after being struck by a truck while on a journey to deliver some ingredients to Najika, and, in his final moments, admits that he lied about being her flan prince, having fallen in love with her. She loses her sense of taste out of sorrow, although she quickly recovers it. After Sora's death, Daichi is unable to bring himself to act on his love for her, though he gives in to his father's demands to protect Najika from being kicked out of the school and becomes the student body president to replace Sora. Wealthy and conceited junior pastry chef also begins to attend the school, where he clashes with Najika, whom he had watched bake as a young girl at the orphanage.
Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi follows the life of Kazuma Hoshino, a teenage boy who moves to the fictional rural town of Yamabiko with his younger brother, Ayumu, on account of Ayumu's asthma. Kazuma loses his way in the forest after chasing a monkey that stole Ayumu's hat and meets Ui Nakatsugawa, a cute and cheerful, if airheaded, schoolgirl whom he takes an almost immediate liking to. As they make their way back to where Ayumu is waiting, Kazuma learns that Ui is fond of cooking, has a refined sense of taste, sports a nearly insatiable appetite, and by extension, loves eating. During their walk through the forest Kazuma also becomes acquainted with Ibuki Hinata, Ui's temperamental spitfire of a best friend.

Working with ENT UK, the United Kingdom's professional body that represents ENT surgeons, and the charity Fifth Sense, Hopkins provided patient advice for people who experience anosmia due to coronavirus disease. In April 2020 Hopkins worked with Nirmal Kumar to create a citizen science project (#CovidSmellTest) which asked people to smell household objects and resort their results. Women who are pregnant or planning on getting pregnant should not take it, it was not studied in people with certain heart conditions and should be used in caution in such people, and it should not be used with an anthracycline. It is unknown if pertuzumab interacts with doxorubicin.
On 24 August, the Health Service Executive, Department of Health and the Department of Education released advice to parents about when students should be kept home from school and when they can attend ahead of the return of schools. The advice lists four scenarios where a child should not be sent to school. They are when a child has a temperature of 38 degrees or more, any other common symptoms of COVID-19 such as a new cough, loss or changed sense of taste or smell, or shortness of breath, been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or been living with someone who is unwell and may have COVID-19. Speaking on RTÉ's Prime Time on 25 August, Minister for Education Norma Foley stated that students who refuse to wear a face covering, other than for medical reasons, will be sent home from secondary schools.
