Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus opened in September, 2001. It is an up-to-date building that features the Mary Baker Collier Theatre, the Margaret W. and Joseph L. Fisher Art Gallery, the Wachovia Forum and Seminar Room spaces.

The McFall center Built in 1927 at a cost of $345,000, originally served as the University's first main library until the construction of Jerome Library in 1967. Houldsworth, Hulme Hall, Manchester Hulme Hall is a university hall of residence in Rusholme, Manchester, England, 1.5 miles south of Manchester city centre, housing 300 students from the University of Manchester. Thirty years later, Congress passed legislation creating New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, commemorating the city's past. It included the entire historic district within its boundaries, and the park service chose the old NBIS building as its visitors' center. In 2008, WHALE turned over the neighboring Corson Building, built 1875-84, to the Park Service, which it had renovated after a 1997 fire. Plans call for it to be used for educational purposes related to the park, with a 60-seat theater, archival space, seminar room, and similar features.

Beginning in 2003, the seminary began to upgrade its educational technology by installing "smart classroom" technology in all of its classrooms. Barlow started at the University of Kent in 1965 as a Lecturer in Classics. She eventually gained promotion to Senior Lecturer and was, subsequently, head of the Classics department there. She was Master of Eliot College, Kent and a seminar room in Eliot College is named after her. One of her students in 1986 was the comedian Alan Davies who described Barlow, in his 2009 book My favourite people and me: 1978-1988, as the best teacher he had at Kent whilst describing her as "engaging, and knowledgable and [someone who] inspired commitment to her subject, classical drama".

It also offers access to more than 60 online databases including: Academic Search, LexisNexis, PsycINFO, Sociological Abstracts, MEDLINE, ERIC, MLA Bibliography, Contemporary Women's Issues, Britannica Online, Biography Resource Center, and Science Direct, and many more. The library includes 280 study and workstations, a listening-viewing room with fully equipped audio-visual stations, and a seminar room.
Completed in 1959 and designed by Naess and Murphy Architects, the new addition included space for the home economics department, a physical chemistry lab & seminar room, the geology and geography departments and classroom and office space. For 47 years, the building served as home to the sciences and housed laboratories and the home economics and, later, the apparel and fashion merchandising classes. By the mid-2000s the aging science building no longer met the academic needs of the university's rapidly expanding science and health sciences programs. With the Amazing Possibilities campaign, the university revealed plans to demolish the addition to the original science building.
The National Graphene Institute under construction in August 2014 The five-story glass-fronted building provides of research space. This includes 1,500 square metres (16,000 sq ft) of class 100 and class 1000 clean rooms, one of which occupies the entire lower ground floor (in order to minimise vibrations) plus laser, optical, metrology and chemical laboratories, along with offices, a seminar room and accommodation. The top floor also includes a roof terrace, which has 21 different grasses and wildflowers designed to attract urban bees and other species of pollinators. The outside of the building consists of a composite cladding, with an external stainless steel 'veil'.
The gallery, which is about was officially opened on 15 July 2015 by President Tony Tan Keng Yam. It features marine biodiversity in Singapore's waters and provide an overview of the Sisters' Islands Marine Park, including a 3D diorama of its dive trails. Other features of the gallery includes a seminar room and teaching lab where talks, seminars and teaching activities for school and community groups can be facilitated at the park. Plans to include viewing pools to display marine organisms and a mangrove ecosystem, which is an area where mangroves can be planted under controlled conditions to facilitate experiments for research projects will be completed by 2016.
The Judaica Museum has been open since 1999 in Schenklengsfeld. It was set up in the former teacher's house of Schenklengsfeld's Jewish community as a memorial place. The house, built by the Jewish community in 1912, was thoroughly restored between 1996 and 1999 by the specially commissioned Förderkreis Jüdisches Lehrerhaus Schenklengsfeld e.V. (roughly “Society for the Promotion of the Jewish Teacher’s House of Schenklengsfeld”) and contains, besides two dwellings on the upper floors, a seminar room with a specialized library, as well as an exhibition room with exhibits on religion and history of Schenklengsfeld's Jewish minority, which in 1925 numbered 149 souls, thereby making up about 13% of the population.
Graydon was graduate from the Classical course at Butler University in 1878 and began teaching Greek at a school in Indianapolis school replacing her own professor, John O. Hopkins, after his death in November 1877. In 1883 she gained her master's degree from Indiana University Bloomington and was subsequently appointed as the assistant professor of Latin and Greek there. Graydon's teaching career at Indiana was cut short after her relationship with Lemuel Moss, President of the university, was exposed by a group of students who spied on the couple through peep holes drilled into the attic above her seminar room. The relationship was published in several national newspapers.
Before becoming an official department, journalism classes were offered occasionally on the St. Paul campus through the agriculture school. Floor plans for the original Murphy Hall called for advertising, radio, typography, editing and reporting laboratories, as well as an auditorium, a seminar room and a museum. Plans to connect to nearby Vincent Hall were also laid out. William Murphy, a former publisher of the Star Tribune newspaper, left an interest-collecting fund for the soon-to-be- established department in 1918, citing a desire toward “the establishing and maintaining of a course of instruction in journalism.” Twenty-two years later, the gift paid for 55 percent of construction costs.
The Sappaya-Sapasathan design by a team led by Theerapol Niyom was the winner in a new parliament building design competition. Built to provide more than 424,000 m2 of floor space, at a budget of approximately 12 billion baht, it can accommodate more than 5,000 people and parking for 2,000 cars. Its main features are a Thai pagoda in the center of the building, Suriyan Hall (Hall of the Sun) for House of Representative, Chantra Hall (Hall of the Moon) for Senate, and the use of 5,018 teak trees as they represent the "DNA of Thailand". Diversity of spaces allows the DDP to provide the widest range of events spaces possible to help to bring fresh vigor and cultural vitality in the city. Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library opened in 2000 as part of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and is home to the university's music, theatre, and dance materials; the collection includes 56,000 books, 156,000 musical scores, 130,000 audio and video recordings, 4500 microfilm titles, and 281 active journal subscriptions.Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library, About Us. The library's public areas include a large main reading room with individual study carrels, a separate reading room for special collections, a lounge-style study room, a seminar room, and a study room. The third floor houses the academic offices of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, which provides a new base for the research activities in astronomy and astrophysics with the relocation of many staff and students from Jodrell Bank Observatory. The Observatory now forms part of the JBCA and provides leading observational facilities such as the Lovell Telescope and the Multi-Element Radio Linked Interferometer Network (MERLIN). This floor differs in design from the others in that the rooms have windows onto the atrium and glass walls to central corridors in each wing whilst retaining glass walled walkways across the atrium. The astrophysics seminar room is named after Sir Bernard Lovell, founder of Jodrell Bank Observatory.
Contemporary western Marxism, unlike its classical predecessor, is wholly the creation of academic social theorists – more specifically, the creation of the new professoriate that rose up on the wave of university expansion in the 1960s. The natural constituency of this Marxism is not of course the working class, but the massed ranks of undergraduates and postgraduate students in the social sciences; its content and design mark it out exclusively for use in the lecture theatre, the seminar room, and the doctoral dissertation. The Darwinian models of evolution and natural selection exerted considerable influence in the late 19th century. Society seemed to be evolving ever upward, a belief that was shattered by World War I. "History is past politics and politics present history" was the motto of the first generation of American political scientists, 1882-1900. The motto had been coined by the Oxford professor Edward Augustus Freeman, and was enshrined on the wall of the seminar room at Johns Hopkins University where the first large-scale training of America and political scientists began.
