The organization also provides safety and ergonomics guidelines, the first of which was the SEMI S2 developed in 1993, followed by the SEMI S8 in 1995.
Each SECS-II message exchange has a unique transaction ID number. The standards allow message interleaving where there is more than one open, concurrent transaction. A message can be a simple data element, such as a binary response or an ASCII string. A message can also be a complex list structure with multiple levels of lists in the hierarchy. The SECS-II standard limits a single element within a SECS-II message to 16777215 bytes (about 16.5 MB).
Only a subset of the possible messages is actually required by the GEM standard. Some SECS-II message transactions may be initiated by only the host. Other SECS-II message transactions may be initiated only by an equipment. A few message transactions may be initiated by either the host or equipment. In order for a SECS-II message to be valid, it must be used by the correct party and have the correct message format (the SECS-II message structure defined by E5). The host and equipment can agree to support custom messages to implement custom features whose format is not defined in SEMI E5, but this is highly discouraged when standard message is sufficient. The SECS- II messages are organized into categories called streams that are identified by an integer between 0 and 255. Each stream category contains specific messages, or functions, also identified by an integer between 0 and 255.

The SECS/GEM is the semiconductor's equipment interface protocol for equipment-to-host data communications. In an automated fab, the interface can start and stop equipment processing, collect measurement data, change variables and select recipes for products. The SECS (SEMI Equipment Communications Standard)/GEM (Generic Equipment Model) standards do all this in a defined way. Developed by the SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) organization,SEMI - Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International the standards define a common set of equipment behaviour and communications capabilities.
The Generic Model for Communications and Control Of Manufacturing Equipment (GEM) standard is maintained and published by the non-profit organization Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI). Generally speaking, the SECS/GEM standard defines messages, state machines and scenarios to enable factory software to control and monitor manufacturing equipment. The GEM standard is formally designated and referred to as SEMI standard E30, but frequently simply referred to as the GEM or SECS/GEM standard. GEM intends "to produce economic benefits for both device manufacturers and equipment suppliers..." by defining "... a common set of equipment behavior and communications capabilities that provide the functionality and flexibility to support the manufacturing automation programs of semiconductor device manufacturers" [SEMI E30, 1.3]. GEM is a standard implementation of the SECS-II standard, SEMI standard E5.

Many equipment in semiconductor (front end and back end), surface mount technology, electronics assembly, photovoltaic, flat panel display and other manufacturing industries worldwide provide a SECS/GEM interface on the manufacturing equipment so that the factory host software can communicate with the machine for monitoring and/or controlling purposes. Because the GEM standard was written with very few semiconductor-specific features, it can be applied to virtually any automated manufacturing equipment in any industry. All GEM compliant manufacturing equipment share a consistent interface and certain consistent behavior. GEM equipment can communicate with a GEM capable host using either TCP/IP (using the HSMS standard, SEMI E37) or RS-232 based protocol (using the SECS-I standard, SEMI E4).

Although true endothelial cells are only found in vertebrates, insect hemocytes and nephrocytes have similar scavenger functions to vertebrate macrophages and SECs, sharing the task of waste clearance and defense against foreign intruders. Colloidal vital dyes, such as ammonia carmine and trypan blue, are rapidly and preferentially taken up by insect pericardial and garland nephrocytes. Nephrocytes, but not hemocytes of the common blow fly (Calliphora) avidly endocytose and degrade ligands that are also recognized by stabilin-2 of mammalian scavenger endothelial cells. In Drosophila, nephrocytes remove microbiota-derived peptidoglycan from systemic circulation to maintain immune homeostasis.

The term "reticuloendothelial system" (abbreviated RES), often associated nowadays with the mononuclear phagocyte system (MPS), was originally launched by the beginning of the 20th century to denote a system of specialised cells that effectively clear colloidal vital stains (so called because they stain living cells) from the blood circulation. The term is still used today, but its meaning has changed over the years, and is used inconsistently in present- day literature. Although RES is commonly associated exclusively with macrophages, recent research has revealed that the cells that accumulate intravenously administrated vital stain belong to a highly specialised group of cells called scavenger endothelial cells (SECs), that are not macrophages.

In 1984, she narrowly missed Olympic selection at both heptathlon, with a score of 5680 points and in the 100 metres hurdles, where she set a UK junior record of 13.30 secs. In 1986, having won the AAAs and UK titles, Gunnell won the Commonwealth Games gold medal in the 100 metres hurdles in Edinburgh, ahead of Wendy Jeal and 1984 Olympic heptathlon champion Glynis Nunn. She would remain the UK number one in the event over the next four seasons and reach the semi-finals at the 1987 World Championships and 1988 Olympics in the event.
This order did not change although Mansell ran into trouble when he ran over debris from Johansson who had had an accident with Andrea de Cesaris (Brabham) at the first corner. On lap 19 Piquet had a moment and lost second place to Prost but during the pits stops the Brazilian managed to get ahead of both Prost and Mansell. Mansell quickly retook second from Prost and closed up on Piquet but overtaking was another issue until Piquet made a mistake and ran wide on lap 46 and Mansell went ahead. At the second round of stops Piquet stalled in the pitlane and lost just under 10 secs and so Mansell was able to win.
It was the smallest-ever national monument in the United States.. (The next smallest is African Burial Ground at .) In 1926 the New York State Knights of Columbus dedicated the memorial cross "not only to Father Millet, but to those other priests whose heroism took Christianity into the wilderness and whose devotion sought to create in this new world a new France." It stands on the shore of Lake Ontario just west of the fort's north redoubt. Father Millet Cross National Monument was originally administered by the War Department but was transferred to the National Park Service in 1933 by executive order. Lee first represented Great Britain in 2010 at the World championships in the Netherlands where she won silver in the women's 4x100 individual medley 34 point relay and gold in the 100m Breaststroke SB9. Although selected Harriet missed out on competing at the European championship in 2011 through illness. In the 2012 British Championships in London she won a gold medal in the 100m Breaststroke SB9 competition and on 8 September 2012 at the 2012 Paralympics she won a bronze medal in the same event having broken the European record in the heats with a time of 1min 19.44 secs. Only four months before the event she had been in intensive care in hospital.
She ran her lifetime best of 50.93 secs at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo, which at the time moved her to fourth on the British all-time list, and as of 2018 ranks her 13th. At the same championship, she was a member of the British 4 x 400 metres relay quartet (along with Phylis Smith, Sally Gunnell and Linda Keough) that finished fourth in the British record time of 3:22.01; a time that would stand as the British record for 16 years. She also competed in the women's 400 metres at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She represented England in the 400 metres hurdles event, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand.
In the 1987 horror movie, It's Alive III: Island of the Alive, the main character played by Michael Moriarty sings the song onboard a boat with crew members at 46 mins 17 secs. The Shadows played an instrumental version of the song on their 1987 album Simply Shadows. Singer Tori Amos covered the song as part of a song trilogy entitled "Etienne Trilogy" on her debut album Y Kant Tori Read (1988). James Galway and The Chieftains recorded an instrumental version (which was used as background music for a Johnnie Walker commercial) in February 1990 at Studios 301, Sydney, Australia, released on the album Over the Sea to Skye - The Celtic Connection.
On 7 August 1950 Harris rode his last race there before defending his World Sprint title in Belgium the following week. He was reportedly in fine form, beating Belgian sprint champion Franz van Looveren and American sprint champion Jackie Heid in each of 5 encounters and recorded a time of 1 min 15.4 secs in the 1,000 meter, standing-start time trial. He also competed at the track on 4 August 1952, comfortably winning all three of his races against Arie van Fliet (Holland) and Sid Patterson (Australia). Harris returned to Brighton in 1957 in different circumstances as the driver of a 1904 Raleighette vintage car in the annual London to Brighton vintage car run.
Susan won the 100m hurdles national title each year during her eligibility as a Junior and represented Ireland in the European and World Junior championships. Before the European tests held in Varaždin, Yugoslavia Susan had won the Irish indoor 60m hurdles in an Irish record time and in Varaždin she reached the semi-final of the 100m hurdles where she finished in 5th place, missing the final by one place (see external links below). The World Junior Championships of 1990 were held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria when Susan was in her first year in college. Several months before the Games opened she competed in the Penn Relays and broke the Irish Junior record for the 400m hurdles with 60.26 secs, in only her second run over the distance.
The Agent Intellect and Relatives in Descent even managed to break the top 5 of Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and songs from these two albums have been featured in TV shows such as 13 Reasons Why, The Rain and The OA. They have extensively toured around the world and have performed at multiple noteworthy festivals such as SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, and the Pitchfork Music Festival. Casey has also performed as a guest on numerous other records. He provides backing vocals on Tyvek's 2012 album On Triple Beams (alongside Greg Ahee). He sings lead vocals on the tracks "Rope" and "Slang Words" by The Gotobeds off of their 2016 & 2019 albums Blood Sugar Secs Traffic and Debt Begins At 30 respectively.
A month later at the 1978 European Championships, she won a silver medal for Great Britain in the relay with the same three teammates. In the 100m hurdles, she ran 13.23 secs in her heat to qualify for the semis, where she ran 13.25, missing the final by one place. After several quiet seasons and now competing as Sharon Danville, she ran 13.66 to finish third in the 100m hurdles at the 1983 UK Championships behind Shirley Strong and Pat Rollo. She earned selection for the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984, where she ran 13.46 in her 100m hurdles heat to qualify for the semifinals, where she improved to 13.35 for fifth in the second semi, missing the final by one place.
Undoubtedly, Bryggare was the finest ever Finnish high hurdler winning medals in almost every major championship he competed. In 1977, at only 18 years of age, he took the bronze over 60m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships and later that year he became European Junior champion at 110m hurdles. After such start that rocketed him to the European hurdling elite, he continued to improve and next year he was for the first time amongst the top ten high-hurdlers in the World with a time of 13.56 secs, which earned him bronze medal at the European Championships held in Prague. Bryggare began 1979 strongly, finishing second at European Indoors beaten only by the best European high-hurdler in 70's, Thomas Munkelt from East Germany.
In the sketch, Gulati and co-star Nitin Ganatra play a holidaying couple who are under the mistaken belief Guantanamo Bay is a holiday resort. The sketch also starred American actors Chevy Chase and Seth Green. Gulati was one of the storytellers in a CBBC revival of Jackanory and in the UK tour of the hit play Girls Night by Louise Roche. She also appeared on the Channel 4 special Empire's Children, tracing her family's history during the partition of India. In summer 2007, she appeared in Pretend You Have Big Buildings at the Royal Exchange, Manchester. In 2008, Gulati made her debut as a filmmaker, producing the short film Akshay for the motiroti's 60x60 Secs. This was shortlisted for the Satyajit Ray, short film awards.
The use and effect of silence in music fascinate them, as does the use of music as a form of deep self-expression.Article about Sloane on the Royal Philharmonic Society website Their compositional method is to strongly imagine the pitches they wish to be played or sung, away from any instrument. They then write the pitches down in Braille music notation before dictating them to an amanuensis who transcribes them onto notation software.@7 magazine show video on the Cambridge TV website, as broadcast on Cambridge TV, relevant section located at 4 mins 25 secs in. Sloane was an Aldeburgh Young Musician from 2015-2016 and studied Composition at the Royal College of Music Junior Department in London from 2016-2018.
The other contenders, Gabriel Ponce de León (Ford-YPF) and Juan Manuel Silva (Honda Petrobras Lubrax) faced a series of problems and did not add to their championship tally. Deception came quickly for "Pato" Silva, as on lap 3 he saw as his car's race ended after his co-driver was nerfed off the track by Flaqué (who stated that it was "unavoidable") at the exit of Ascari and ended up in the barriers. For Ponce de León the story was different, but finished in the same way. The driver from Junín started from 10th and was in 7th place when he stopped at the pits for the driver change on lap 17. After a very quick driver change (15 secs) the number 1 Focus stalled, but the team got it going rapidly again.
Singh's breakthrough performance came in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China when she won the gold medal with a time of 9:55.67; she became the first Asian Champion in the discipline as it was the first instance of the 3000 meters steeplechase at the Asian Games. In June 2012, Singh qualified for Olympic Games 2012 after she broke her own 3,000m steeplechase national record with a timing of 9:47.70 secs. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Singh finished 13th in her steeplechase heat and did not qualify for the finals. In the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea, Sudha finished fourth, one place behind Lalita Babar who not only won the bronze medal in the 3000m steeplechase event but also broke Sudha's national record, clocking 9:35.37 in the process.
Born in Southampton, Gandy was a member of Southampton AC and was a junior 400 metres international in 1982, with a junior best of 54.22 secs, and a senior international indoors in 1983. She won the 400m title at the 1987 AAA Indoor Championships in 55.67 and ran her 400m best of 53.8 on 4 July 1987. Three weeks later she ran 53.98 at the 1987 AAA Championships. Gandy began concentrating on the 800m, running 2:03.54 on 23 August 1987. She defeated Janet Bell to win the 1988 AAA Indoor 800m title in 2:05.62, and went on to reach the semifinals of the European Indoor Championships in Budapest, running 2:04.50. Three months later, she finished third at the 1988 UK Championships behind Christina Cahill and Kirsty Wade, running 2:03.69.
Smith was born in Birmingham, England. She placed third over 100 metres at the 1989 AAAs National Championships and won the 1990 UK National title at 200m (also 2nd in the 100 m). However, it would be in the 400 metres that she would find international success. In 1991, along with Lorraine Hanson, Linda Keough and Sally Gunnell she was a member of the UK 4 × 400 m relay quartet that finished fourth in the final of the World Championships in Tokyo, setting a UK national record that would stand for 16 years. Smith's individual breakthrough came at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, when she ran a lifetime best of 50.40 secs in her semi-final to move to second on the UK all-time list behind Kathy Cook and reach the Olympic final.
In June 2014, she won two gold medals at Asian Junior Athletics Championships in 200 metres and 4 × 400 m relays. In the 200 m event she bettered her previous timing to 23.74 secs and hoping to get qualified for the Commonwealth Games but Chand was dropped from the 2014 Commonwealth Games contingent at the last minute after the Athletic Federation of India stated that hyperandrogenism made her ineligible to compete as a female athlete. Following Commonwealth Games she was also dropped from the Indian contingent for the 2014 Asian Games. There has been no suggestion that Chand has been involved in cheating or doping—the decision was made in compliance with International Olympic Committee (IOC) regulations on “female hyperandrogenism” designed to address a perceived advantage for female athletes with high androgen levels.
At the 1982 European Championships she finished fourth in the 400 m, before winning a gold medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay, together with teammates Kirsten Siemon, Dagmar Rubsam and Marita Koch. At the 1983 World Championships she finished fifth in her 400 m semifinal and was eliminated, but won another gold medal in the relay, with teammates Gesine Walther, Koch and Rübsam. She ran her 400 m lifetime best of 49.24 in Erfurt, in June 1984, but was prevented from competing at the 1984 Olympics, due to the Eastern Bloc Boycott. Busch switched to the 400 m hurdles in 1985, with immediate success, winning the European Cup in Moscow in 54.13 secs, before breaking Margarita Ponomaryova's world record of 53.58, with 53.55 in Berlin in September.
Since then he has continued his rapid progress. In 2005 he became the first of the junior canoe champions from Komatsu to win a senior world championship title. At the age of just twenty, he partnered Yevgeny Ignatov to victory in the C-2 200 m final at the world championship in Zagreb, Croatia. They edged out Christian Gille and Tomasz Wylenzek by just 0.024 secs, thereby preventing a clean sweep by the German duo. After these successes Lipkin began the transition to the longer distance C-1 500m in preparation for the 2008 Summer Olympics, where there will be no 200 m races. He didn't appear at the 2006 European Senior Championships; instead he was entered for the under-23 championships in Schinias, Greece, where he won two titles, the C-1 500m and also the C-2 500m (with Ilya Shtokalov).
In January 2012, the Punto name was brought back when the Punto Evo was facelifted and given a similar front end to the 2005 Grande Punto. The new Punto kept the revised rear lights and interior of the 2009 Punto Evo, but not on the base 'Pop' trim level which reverted to the older Grande Punto interior. In October 2014, Top Gear Magazine placed the Punto Pop 1.2 liter 8v 69 on its list of The Worst Cars You Can Buy Right Now, describing the car as "An outclassed elderly supermini that kicks out 126 g/km yet takes 14.4 secs to wheeze to 62 mph, and it costs more than £10k." The Grande Punto in India went through a facelift changing the front face and a revised rear and giving it a more aggressive look and was named Punto Evo.

Georgia swept the relays, the first team in NCAA history to accomplish that feat. In 2006, the NCAAs went down to the wire, with Auburn edging the Lady Bulldogs for the national title. Even so, Georgia recorded eight individual national champs and claimed the SEC title. On the men's side, Georgia entered the NCAAs with four all-time national champs and exited with three more – Colwill on the both springboards and Rouault in the 1,650 freestyle. The Bulldogs placed ninth at the NCAAs, their best showing since 1999, and finished third at the SECs for the fifth straight year. The 2007 campaign was more of the same for Georgia. Bauerle led the Lady Bulldogs to the SEC title and to a national runner-up finish (their eighth top-2 showing in as many years) and the Bulldogs to a ninth-place finish nationally.
McLaughlin finished seventh for Northern Ireland in the 400 metres hurdles final at the 1986 Commonwealth Games, won the 1987 UK Championships and finished second at the 1987 WAAA Championships. McLaughlin's best season came in 1988. With a pre-season best of 57.48 secs in 1987, she ran 56.22 to win the second of her three UK Championship titles in June 1988, improved her best to 56.09 in August 1988, when finishing second to Sally Gunnell at the AAA Championships/Olympic trials, earning Olympic selection, and ended the season achieving a lifetime best of 55.91 in the semifinals at the 1988 Seoul Olympics in September. This performance ranked her second on the UK all-time list at that time, and still (as of 2018) ranks her 12th on the UK all-time list and remains the Northern Irish record.
Polo Mk2 GT G40 The Mark 2 Polo was used extensively by Volkswagen to develop future innovations, for example supercharging. The supercharger- equipped GT G40 version was introduced in 1987, in LHD Coupe form only, first as a limited batch of about 500 cars, most of which were sold to VW workers (as a homologated version of the car for the G40 Cup race series) and later as a normal production version. This model featured the 1272 cc engine with a small bore G-Lader supercharger, giving at 6000 rpm, as well as modified suspension and the bodywork of the "normal" GT Coupé. The car could reach in 8.1 secs from and had maximum speed of it was used by VW to set a number of world endurance speed records — such as the 1300 cc class records for speed over 24 hours and speed over a distance of 5000 km.

The Women's 400 metres Hurdles at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea had an entry list of 35 competitors, with five qualifying heats and two semifinals (16) before the final (8) took place on Wednesday September 28, 1988. In 1987, the former world record holder Sabine Busch of the GDR, improved her best to 53.24 seconds, before going on to win the World Championship title in Rome in 53.62 secs, with Debbie Flintoff-King of Australia second, GDR team-mate Cornelia Ullrich third, and Jamaica's Sandra Farmer fourth. Both Ullrich and Farmer, who was now competing for the USA as Sandra Farmer-Patrick, failed to make it to Seoul. Farmer-Patrick was disqualified in her semifinal at the US Olympic trials for a lane infringement, while Ullrich missed out on a spot on the GDR Olympic team to Ellen Fiedler and Susanne Losch.
It was during his time at Priestfield Stadium that he wrote his name into the record books with a lightning-fast hat-trick against Leyton Orient on 1 November 1952. This was officially recognised as the fastest hat-trick in the history of the Football League until February 2004 when James Hayter notched three goals in 2 minutes 20 seconds for AFC Bournemouth against Wrexham, with contemporary reports stating that the previous record had been 2 minutes 30 seconds.BBC Sport news story Sources published in the intervening years, however, give the total time of Scarth's goals as exactly 2 minutes or even as little as 110 seconds, which is quicker than the 2 mins 13 secs claimed for Irish player Jimmy O'Connor for the "world's fastest hat-trick". Scarth left Gillingham in 1955 after scoring 24 goals in 138 League matches, and joined non-league Kent team Gravesend & Northfleet, where he was to remain until he retired from football in 1960.
Wilkinson had unlimited access to C.G.S. school records when researching his book, and so it is unclear whether (a) The Age report is mistaken, (b) the C.G.S. records are mistaken, or (c) Taylor was, in fact, selected to run in the team, but replaced only at the last minute, at the St Kilda Cricket Ground on the day of the meeting, possibly due to fatigue, or to an injury sustained during his two high-jump competitions. At the 1948 A.G.S. Combined Sports he won the open high-jump, setting a new record of , and won the open 100 yards (in 10.7 secs),Grammar Schools, The Argus, (Saturday, 6 November 1948), p.23. which was an extraordinary feat, given that he had badly strained his ankle a week earlier, and had been unable to train at all for the five days prior to the competition.Postponed Events to Decide School Sports, The Argus, (Saturday, 6 November 1948), p.23.
In 1976, she competed in the sprint relay at the Montreal Olympics, running the first leg for the British quartet that finished eighth in the final. In 1979, she finished fourth in the 60 m final at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna. She was selected for the relay squad for the 1980 Moscow Olympics but did not get to compete. In 1981, she broke the UK indoor record for the 50 m with 6.21 secs in the heats of the European Indoor Championships, before placing sixth in the final (usually a 60 m race, the event was held over 50 m in 1981). The record (as of 2014) has stood for over thirty three years. In the late 70s and early 80s she won six AAAs national titles. She was the AAAs 100 m champion in 1981 and 1982 and the AAAs indoor 60 m champion in 1977, 1980, 1981 and 1982. Hoyte's best year was in 1982.
Official Video These are the official results of the Women's 400 metres hurdles at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. There were 27 participating athletes plus one non-starter. The main contenders for the gold medal in Barcelona were the American Sandra Farmer-Patrick, the Soviet World champion Tatyana Ledovskaya and Great Britain's Sally Gunnell. Ledovskaya, who had so narrowly lost the gold to Debbie Flintoff-King at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, won the gold medal at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo in 53.11 seconds, with Gunnell winning silver in 53.16. Those performances moved Ledovskaya and Gunnell to second and third on the world all-time list behind Marina Stepanova's 1986 world record of 52.94. Farmer-Patrick, who was fourth in the Tokyo final and whose personal best of 53.37 dated back to 1989, ran the fastest pre-Olympic time of the 1992 season, when winning the US Olympic trials in June in 53.62 secs.
Parker was a member of the Essex Ladies Athletics club (now Woodford Green with Essex Ladies). In 1983, she won the AAAs National Under 17 title in the 400 m hurdles, running 62.37. Her senior breakthrough came in 1990 when she finished second at the AAA Championships in 57.43, behind Gowry Retchakan's 57.14. This performance earned her selection for the European Championships in Split, where she ran 56.84 in her heat to reach the semi-finals. In her semi-final she ran 57.06, failing to reach the final. Parker won her first senior national title in June 1991, winning the UK Championship title in 57.64. On 24 July, she finished fourth in the final at the 1991 Universiade in Sheffield, in 56.93. Three days later, she again finished second to Gowry Retchakan at the AAAs Championships, running a lifetime best of 56.15 secs to earn World Championship selection. At the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo, she was eliminated in the heats in a disappointing 57.81.
Glucose was first isolated from raisins in 1747 by the German chemist Andreas Marggraf. (Raisins, being moistened with a small quantity of water, in a way that they soften, can be then pressed, and the juice that is squeezed out, [after] being purified and thickened, will provide a sort of sugar.) Glucose was discovered in grapes by Johann Tobias Lowitz in 1792 and recognized as different from cane sugar (sucrose). Glucose is the term coined by Jean Baptiste Dumas in 1838, which has prevailed in the chemical literature.
Dwain Anthony Chambers (born 5 April 1978) is a British track sprinter. He has won international medals at World and European level and is one of the fastest European sprinters in the history of athletics. His primary event is the 100 metres, with a best of 9.97 secs, which ranks him fifth on the British all- time list. He is the European record holder for the 60 metres and 4×100 metres relay events with 6.42 seconds and 37.73 s respectively. Chambers ran a 100 m world junior record of 10.06 s in 1997 and became the youngest ever world medallist in the event at the 1999 World Championships, taking the bronze. On his Olympic début at the 2000 Sydney Olympics he was the best European performer in fourth place. He broke the 10-second barrier twice at the 2001 World Championships. In 2003 he received a two-year athletics ban after testing positive for THG, a banned performance-enhancing drug and was stripped of the 100 m European title and record he achieved in 2002.
Other features of the SQ5 are black front brake callipers with Audi 'S' badges, an optional Audi drive select system, a platinum-grey single-frame grille with galvanized double bars, two SQ5 unique body colours (Estoril Blue or Panther Black), optional lunar silver headlining, Pearl Nappa leather/Alcantara power-adjustable sport seats with optional leather upholstery in a choice of four colours, brushed aluminium inlays with optional Carbon Atlas, Piano finish or Aluminium/Beaufort wood trim panels. The SQ5 TDI accelerates from 0–62 mph in 5.1 secs, and is electronically limited to 155 mph. This is comparable to rival range-topping performance SUVs with diesel engines, such as the Porsche Cayenne S Diesel (0–60 mph: 5.7 s) and BMW X5 M50d (0–60 mph: 5.4 s), and also to high-performance petrol-powered SUVs, such as the Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG (0–60 mph: 4.8 s), Porsche Cayenne Turbo S (0–60 mph: 4.1 s). These listed rivals are all larger and heavier, falling into the mid-size SUV class, and, as such, command significantly higher asking prices.
Author Steve Turner describes "Taxman" as a "smart little pop art song" due to the references to Wilson and Heath and its drawing musical inspiration from Neil Hefti's "Batman Theme", from the 1966 television series Batman. The chords stress the flat VII scale degree (C-natural in the key of D major) and frequently involve a major/minor I chord (D/Dm) in the harmony, which consequently evokes either Mixolydian or Dorian modes. There is one flat-III (F chord) near the end, but unusually no V (A) chord. According to musicologist Dominic Pedler, the composition is also notable for its use of both a 5th-string voicing of the dominant seventh sharp ninth chord to embellish the tonic D7 chord at the end of each two-line verse (at 0:12 and 0:19 secs), and a 6th-string form to create a complementary "jarring dissonance" with the lyrics in the subdominant (IV) G chord (to a G79) at 1:29 (after the solo) on "'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah – I'm the taxman".
