On 10 December 2017, in the first ODI against India, Lakmal used swinging and seaming bowling performance to rip through Indian batting line-up to restrict them to 112, which is India's third-lowest in ODIs at home and their lowest at home when batting first.

Counter- intuitively, the best approach for a fast bowler is not to bowl constantly at the wicket as such predictability allows the batsman to simply defend his or her wicket and pick off the occasional bad ball. A far more effective approach is to introduce variation of line and length, leaving the batsman unsure as to whether to attack, defend or leave. The majority of balls in a well-bowled spell are usually swinging or seaming balls that pass at waist height, just outside the off stump and move away from the batsman because this is the area where it is most difficult for the batsman to choose the most appropriate response. Common variations and their tactical application are discussed below.

Half way of the trail the river Frolikha flows into Lake Baikal, making its way from Lake Frolikha, which gave the trail its name. Maintenance of the trail is conducted by volunteers from Russia and other countries on summer projects organised by the charity Great Baikal Trail. The tracks starts at the Northern end of Lake Baikal and runs southwards towards the hot springs of Khakussy (see coordinate), following sandy beaches and bays, climbing steep cliff lines, and looping Lake Frolikha. Snow-covered, jagged mountain ranges up to 2000 meters in height contrast with the large yet shallow delta of the Verkhne Angara river and the vast Siberian taiga seaming the coastline of the oldest and deepest lake of the world.

The overcast sky and seaming pitch made the selection of England's nearly-man Neil Mallender for his debut look inspired. England's all-seam attack rattled through the Pakistani batting, with only Salim Malik putting up any resistance, though he ended up stranded on 82 despite useful support from Mushtaq Ahmed that spared the tourists' blushes (they added 64 for the ninth wicket). He followed with a 42 in the second One-Day International against Pakistan on 11 February 2006, and then a 95 in hostile, seaming conditions on 13 February 2006 in Lahore, which set up an Indian victory. On 19 March 2006, after being dismissed for only one run against England in the first innings of the third Test in his home ground, Wankhede, Tendulkar was booed off the ground by a section of the crowd, the first time that he had ever faced such flak. In the late 19th century assortment work – tinware that included household goods, cutlery, and cans, for instance – moved from shop to factory, and machine operators replaced apprentice-trained journeymen on the job. At the same time, though, the increasing use of galvanized sheet iron was creating opportunities for journeymen employed in furnace or architectural shops – demand for metal roofs, cornices, skylights, and ceilings, along with warm air furnaces and ventilation pipe, was on the rise by the late 19th century. Despite a relatively short career of 25 Tests, Rogers retired having gained admiration for his watchful, consistent batting at the top of the order; in particular, during the two Ashes series he played in England, he was one of Australia's most consistent batsmen in the seaming and swinging conditions.

The album has since attained a more notable cult classic status.[ Allmusic review] Jean-Claude Vannier performed an enormous live show "L'enfant Assassin des Mouches & Melody Nelson" at London's Barbican on 21 October 2006 with guest vocalists Jarvis Cocker, Badly Drawn Boy, Brigitte Fontaine, The Bad Seeds’ Mick Harvey and lead singer from Super Furry Animals, Gruff Rhys. Publicity for the Barbican concert revealed that the musicians used for the album were Dougie Wright, Big Jim Sullivan, Herbie Flowers and Vic Flick who all joined Vannier for the concert. BBC Concert Orchestra, Crouch End Festival Chorus, a children’s string quintet were part of the show On 22 and 23 October 2008 this show - conceived, arranged and orchestrated by Jean-Claude Vannier - was performed at the Cité de la Musique with guest vocalists :Mathieu Amalric, B at the Cité de la Musique with guest vocalists Alain Chamfort, Mathieu Amalric, Brigitte Fontaine, Brian Molko (Placebo), Martina Topley Bird, Daniel Darc, Clotilde Hesme, Seaming To. The Lamoureux Orchestra, the Yound Choir of Paris, and the children’s string quintet were part of the show.

Australia were left to chase 449 for the victory and made a strong start, reaching 139 by the close of the fourth day without losing a wicket, and went on to 208 before Fraser had Slater (103, 10 fours) caught by Tufnell. An hour later, after a rain-lengthened lunch break, Malcolm uprooted Taylor's off stump for 113 and the intent to chase was quelled. Boon batted for an hour and three-quarters for 17, but after his dismissal Fraser (5–73) made the most of the damp conditions, delivering a series of seaming deliveries to the Australian middle order that saw Bevan, both Waugh brothers and Healy returned to the pavilion, Rhodes taking three catches. The fading light saw Hick, Tufnell and Gooch bowling at this critical time instead of Gough and Malcolm, with Warne and May batting out the last hour to save the draw, Malcolm spilled a catch from Warne off what appeared to be the final delivery of the match and the players walked off thinking the game was over, only to realise by the time they got to the pitch edge that there was still time for one more over.

Saleem Altaf Bokhari (born 19 April 1944, Lahore, Punjab) is a former Pakistani cricketer who played in 21 Tests and 6 ODIs from 1967 to 1978. An opening bowler, Saleem Altaf played first-class cricket in Pakistan from 1963-64 to 1978-79. He toured England with the Pakistan team in 1967 and 1971, Australia and New Zealand in 1972-73, Australia in 1976-77, and West Indies in 1976-77. His most successful series was in Australia in 1972-73, when he took 11 wickets at 28.45 in the three Tests, bowling at a brisk pace and "swinging the ball late and seaming it disconcertingly".Phil Wilkins, "Pakistan in Australia and New Zealand, 1972-73", Wisden 1974, p. 912. His best Test figures were 4 for 11 (14.3-9-11-4) in the Third Test against England in 1971. His top score was 53 not out against New Zealand in the Third Test in 1972-73. In first-class cricket his best figures were 7 for 69 (11 for 155 in the match) for Punjab University against Lahore Greens in 1965-66. Touring West Indies in 1976-77 he took 5 for 6 off 4.1 overs against Leeward Islands, including a hat-trick.

Rogers scored his maiden Test century in the first innings of the fourth Test, in difficult seaming conditions at the Riverside International Cricket Ground, Durham. Following his success in England, Rogers held his place as an opening batsman for the next two years. In the return Ashes series in the 2013/14 summer, Rogers scored 463 runs at 46.30 to again be Australia's third-highest scorer. He scored his second Test century, and his first on Australian soil, in Australia's successful fourth-innings run-chase in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and he backed that up with his third Test century in the second innings of the New Year's Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground with a score of 119. He then scored a rearguard century of 107 against South Africa in the second innings of the second Test in Port Elizabeth in February 2014, which was his only score above 50 in the series where he averaged 30.16. A two-Test series in the UAE against Pakistan in late 2014 was the leanest of Rogers' career, managing only 88 runs at 22.00. Rogers returned to form during the 2014/15 summer, scoring 417 runs at 52.12 in the four-Test home series against India.
