Fears, Reactor Officer Lt. Cmdr. Robert P. McDonald, and Tritons engineering crew repaired the malfunctioning reactor. Since Poole's symptoms were intermittent, Triton continued south, although there was a detour to the Golfo Nuevo region when the ship investigated an unknown sonar contact. Contemporary news accounts reported the Argentine Navy had been encountering numerous unknown submarine contacts in the Golfo Nuevo during early 1960, but Tritons contact turned out to be a school of fish.

Fishing technology at Monterey prior to 1905 was archaic and inefficient; the canning process was equally crude. The unsightliness, odor, and processing waste from harbor canneries dictated that all future canneries would have to locate away from any business or residential district. To catch more fish the fishermen turned to the more efficient lampra fish net used in Sicily. Hiatt solo in 2010 In 1992, Cooder, Keltner, and Lowe again backed up Hiatt, but this time they gave themselves the band name Little Village, a reference to a Sonny Boy Williamson II song. Expectations for the Little Village album were high, but the album failed to even chart as high as Hiatt's last solo album, and the group disbanded after an only moderately successful tour. In 1993, Hiatt recorded Perfectly Good Guitar with members of alternative rock groups School of Fish and Wire Train. Hiatt recorded the album with producer Matt Wallace, who had worked most prominently with Faith No More, a band that Hiatt's 15-year-old son Rob had recommended for him.

The popular children's television show Sesame Street once did a parody of this song about the letter U performed by Ethel Mermaid, a fishy spoof of Ethel Merman. In the song, Ethel sings about how none of the other letters in the alphabet give her more joy than the letter U, backed up by a school of fish. Back Sides consists of tracks that were written by the band during their work on the previous album, All the Time in the World, but for any reason did not make into the final cut.The History of Lazlo Bane at Myspace However, the band considered the album as having more representation of themselves. Musically, the album follows the style of All the Time in the World, but being less polished, more guitar-based and rock- driven, also similar to the band's debut album 11 Transistor. The song "Unbelievable" is themed with the dissatisfaction with the music business reflecting frontman Chad Fischer's previous experience in School of Fish and early Lazlo Bane years.

When drummer Patrick Simpson walked off the stage halfway through the set, the drummer from School of Fish (who was in the audience) jumped up on stage and helped finish the set. The band's first release was 1995's Magic Bunny EP on Love Kit Records, a vinyl-only release that quickly sold out and garnered unsolicited reviews by publications including Details Magazine. TAZ did the eye-catching artwork. Their 1996 debut full-length album was Statutory Grape and was produced by Mickey P. Original synth player and backing vocalist Lisa Papineau left the band partway through recording the debut album to pursue a major label deal with her other band, Pet, and was replaced by Mary Ellen Mason.

Each player rules their own island and uses the controller disc to move a rectangular cursor around the screen. Both players spend gold bars to construct different buildings (houses, schools, factories, hospitals and forts) on their islands, build fishing boats or PT boats, or to fund rebel activity on the enemy island. As each island's population grows, the ruler is responsible for housing their people, feeding their populace and keeping them happy, or else risk rebel activity, which decreases the player's score and sometimes destroys buildings. Income is generated when randomly generated rain clouds, (and sometimes hurricanes) pass over a player's farms, when a fishing boat is positioned over a school of fish, and at the end of each turn, based on the player's factory output and fishing boats.

A well-established association exists between this species and tuna: off Ghana, almost every tuna school has silky sharks trailing behind, and in the eastern Pacific, these sharks inflict such damage to tuna fishing gear and catches that fishery workers have given them the moniker "net-eating sharks". Silky sharks and bottlenose dolphins compete when both species target the same school of fish; the amount eaten by the dolphins decreases relative to the number of sharks present. If a large number of sharks is present, they tend to remain inside the prey school, while the dolphins consign themselves to the periphery, possibly to avoid incidental injury from the sharks' slashing attacks. Conversely, if a large enough group of dolphins gathers, they become able to chase the sharks away from the prey school.

According to Lazlo Bane's frontman Chad Fischer most of the record was done on 16 tracks with very few effects with all the songwriting done on an acoustic guitar into a little dictaphone. He also said that the idea was to work with as little as possible and make it sound the best it could, just like old transistor radios. The album was recorded through 1995 and 1996 with the input from various musicians to the songwriting and recording. They include Chad Fischer's fellow School of Fish band members Josh Clayton-Felt and Josh Freese, Wire Train's Kevin Hunter and Anders Rundblad, Lyle Workman of the Bourgeois Tagg and the most notable being Colin Hay who provides guitar and vocals for Lazlo Bane's version of Men at Work's "Overkill".

About 400 tons (360 tonne) of Chilean jack mackerel (Trachurus murphyi) are caught by a Chilean purse seiner off of Peru The history of "purse-seine" net fishing for yellowfin tuna has been the preferred fishing technology of choice for many parts of the world over the last three decades. This type of fishing involves the use of two boats, the primary fishing vessel, and the "seine skiff" motorboat. Once the school of fish is located, the seine skiff goes out and encircles the school and deploys a net around the perimeter to capture the fish and returns to the main fishing vessel to complete the circle at the end of the net. Once this happens the net is reeled in with cables and the entire contents are gathered into the fishing vessel for processing.

Center of Six was originally intended to be the title of the follow up record to Josh's debut solo album Inarticulate Nature Boy but during the final stages of work on the album that eventually was released as Spirit Touches Ground both the title Center of Six and the song had been set aside by Josh for a possible future. After the release of Spirit Touches Ground more tracks by Josh Clayton-Felt were prepared for release. The co- executive producer for the album as well as producer of several tracks was Chad Fischer who previously played with Josh Clayton-Felt in School of Fish and did mixing of Spirit Touches Ground album. The album was released only on CD with proceeds from sales donated to Descendants of the Earth, a non-profit Native American organization to which Clayton-Felt was dedicated.

Musco's Tehom incorporates deep heavenly waters bursting with life and dark spirals of humanity propelled together with grace and tension–some floating and others fighting to make contact and engage the viewer. Two years in production, the show includes Musco's photo installation Hadal (which was shown at the 53rd Annual Venice Biennale in 2009, presented by the Moscow Museum of Modern Art), a swirling vortex of two thousand bodies reminiscent of a floating nest or a school of fish, each a recurring theme of his work; Avernus, which explores human forms in natural constructions and depicts not the vast open sea but rather an inland lake, one supposed by the Romans to be the entrance to Hades; Progeny, an 8’ x 8’ bundle of limbs and torsos floating like a giant human egg; and Sibille, a triptych of eleven women breaking the surface of the water with an otherworldly attitude that directly references not only Greek mythology, but Musco's numerological reference to his time in the womb. Since its debut, Tehom has been internationally exhibited and admired, and its first edition is now part of the permanent collection of Maison Particulière Art Centre in Brussels, Belgium.
