The St Joseph's campus included a large playing field, comprising a red blaze hockey pitch, running tracks, and space for 4 grass football pitches. St. Conval's High School was later annexed with St. Joseph's in October 1998 and became known as St. Joseph's Cumnock Campus.

The short sides of the pitch feature two minor terracing sections, respectively named the Eastern Stand and the Western Stand. When Malmö FF were based at the ground, the Northern Stand terracing was the section with the most season ticket holders, while the Eastern Stand was the section used to house away fans. The stadium features a association football pitch, and eight all-weather running tracks, which surround the pitch. The tracks are certified for national and international athletic competitions.

For example, during the 2005 Helsinki athletics championships, military police conscripts were placed all along the running tracks through the city to prevent the large numbers of spectators from obstructing the runners. In these cases they are given a limited amount of power over civilians, as the regular police needed the extra support to handle the large influx of tourists. As military police conscripts are trained with basic police techniques they are suitable for usage in instances such as these in Finland.

There are two platforms at the station with a reversing siding between the two running tracks just to the south of the station, and some trains (mainly from Stratford DLR station) used to terminate here as Lewisham DLR station was unable to handle too many trains. Los Mochis is known for its sports culture and large, high-quality sporting facilities (Ciudades Deportivas) intended to promote participation in sports. It has two large sporting facilities that have running tracks, pools, tennis courts, baseball fields and a football stadium with a capacity of 11,000. The city is home to the Mexican Pacific League's Cañeros de Los Mochis baseball club. The city's football team is called the Murciélagos de Los Mochis, and its basketball team is known as the Pioneros.

Clifton Centre is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) network in the city of Nottingham suburb of Clifton. It is situated on street track within Southchurch Drive, and comprises a single island platform situated between the running tracks. The stop is on line 2 of the NET, from Clifton via the city centre to Phoenix Park. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.

Racewalking is a form of competitive walking that usually takes place on open-air roads, although running tracks are also occasionally used. Racewalking is the only sport in athletics in which judges monitor athletes on their technique. Racewalkers must always have a foot in contact with the ground and their advancing leg must be straightened, not bent at the knee – failure to follow these rules results in disqualification from the race.

The Military Academy of the University of Defence () is a training college devoted to military education and career development located in Belgrade, Serbia. The academy forms part of the Serbian higher education system, offering accredited graduate and postgraduate curriculum. It contains a military high school, offering secondary-level education, and a school of national defense, which conducts officer training. The academy's facilities include a sports center with a swimming pool, a stadium with running tracks, modern classrooms for foreign language learning, and lecture theaters.

At peak, there were of running tracks and of single-track sidings, over of viaducts and of tunnels, with seventeen stations. The lines had gentle gradients, no more than 1 in 400 against the load on the mainline. The main Barry railway from the docks to the coalfields joined the Rhondda Fawr line of the Taff Vale Railway near Hafod northwest of Pontypridd. There were branch lines that joined the Taff Vale line at Treforest and the Great Western Railway at Peterston-super-Ely and St Fagans.

In the early 1970s the club's owners embarked on an ambitious project to renovate Stamford Bridge. However, the cost of building the East Stand escalated out of control after shortages of materials and a builders' strike and the remainder of the ground remained untouched. The new East Stand was finished, but most of the (unusable) running tracks remained, and the new stand was also displaced by approximately 20 meters, compared to the pitch. The idea was to move the entire stadium towards the north.

There are four tracks through the site, with the platforms located on the northern pair. Another pair of tracks to the south are used by c2c outer suburban services and there are disused platforms on those lines. The fish are small but like most brown trout are very feisty when on the hook. Capelsebrug is a station on lines A, B, and C of the Rotterdam Metro. The station is situated in the eastern part of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, at the boundary with Capelle aan den IJssel municipality. At Capelsebrug station, lines A and B turn north towards Schenkel station, while line C continues east towards Slotlaan station.. The westbound trains stop at either side of an island platform between two running tracks, while all eastbound trains share one platform. Near the station there's a Cafetaria, and a supermarket.

The schools select bright and promising students through a All India Sainik School Entrance Examination and focus on moulding their overall personality with emphasis on extracurricular activities. Sainik schools resources allow cadets to develop their skills in sports, academics and other extracurricular activities. Infrastructure in Sainik Schools include running tracks, cross-country tracks, indoor games, parade grounds, boxing rings, firing ranges, canoeing clubs, horse riding clubs, mountaineering clubs, trekking and hiking club, obstacles courses, football, hockey and cricket fields, as well as volleyball and basketball courts. CUHK possesses the largest campus of all higher education institutions in Hong Kong. The hilly 137.3-hectare campus hosts a range of facilities essential for an all-round campus experience, such as libraries, art museums, music halls, a swimming pool, sports fields, tennis courts, squash courts, a water sports centre and gymnasiums. Many points around the campus offer attractive views of Tide Cove and the Tolo Harbour. The university has two full-size sports grounds with running tracks: the Sir Philip Haddon-Cave Sports Field and the Lingnan Stadium.

Slinge is an above-ground subway station in the south of the city of Rotterdam. It is part of Rotterdam Metro lines D and E. Slinge is the southern terminus of line E, while line D trains continue towards De Akkers station. The station opened on November 25, 1970, as part of a one-station extension of the North-South Line (also formerly called Erasmus line). It has two platforms and three running tracks; the inner track is only used by trains terminating at Slinge, while the other trains use the outer two tracks.

In front of the Southern Stand there are pits for long jump and triple jump. In 1958 saw the groundbreaking of the North "Y", which was the location of the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre. In addition to a fitness club, two pools, squash courts, gyms, running tracks, and an aerobics studio, the BJCC contained the Leah Posluns Theatre, Centre Camp, Kolel: The Adult Centre for Liberal Jewish Learning, the Family Resource Centre, and the Koffler Centre of the Arts. NTrak modules are marked by their standard three running tracks (two are "mainline" tracks and the third is the "branchline" track) that are required on all modules. Thomas Horspool (born 22 May 1830) was a British runner who set several world records in the mile soon after relatively precise running tracks and accurate timing devices came into use in the mid-19th century. Born in Liverpool, but living in Basford, Horspool was a glove-knitter by trade. He won the 1853 mile championship in Sheffield, won it again in 1854 with a time of 4:29, and defeated main rival John Saville twice in 1856. Their most famous race took place on 28 September 1857 at the Copenhagen Grounds in Manchester.

Scandinavium The main venue for the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships will be Scandinavium with a maximum capacity of 12,000 spectators, but at the event the arena will have about 6,500 spectators because of the reconstruction. Prior to the championships, the arena floor will be raised 3 metres and be equipped with running tracks. In Svenska Mässan, next to Scandinavium, there will be a Market Square, where various activities will be organized during the competitions. All the victory ceremonies will take place in the Market Square during the evenings.

The construction of Ajman International Airport began in the second half of 2008 in the Al Manama area of Ajman. Airport operations were scheduled to begin by 2011, and the airport was expected to host about two million passengers per year. The project stalled but has now been restarted and is projected to be completed by 2018 and will entail an investment of some $575m. A$25 million marina project is also underway, which will include running tracks and facilities to attract international sporting events and provide a draw for tourism to the emirate.

In the event of an accident, three catches were provided towards the top of the plane to stop runaway waggons but their method of operation is unknown and it is not known how effective they were. The two running tracks on the plane were laid parallel to each other and this makes it evident that a gravel dragpit was not provided for runaway waggons to enter. On several occasions reports of chain/cable breakage were recorded and descending loaded waggons crashed into Buxton Road Bridge at the foot of the plane.

Allendorf and its constituent communities offer a broad variety of well-equipped public sports grounds, which are regularly used by local clubs and schools. The largest sports ground is the stadium in Allendorf, which is called "Sportstadion im Ried." It is an arena type B and consists of 6 running tracks with Rekortan-surface, a sandpit for long jump, a high jump or pole vault pit, a lawn, and a shot put area. Unroofed standing terraces for approximately 6000 people can be found on the south-western side of the arena.

Communication of available services is important to the success of such programs. Offering similar accommodations for commercial and industrial waste generated by office buildings, restaurants, schools, and factories will also decrease instances of illegal dumping. Cities can also combat illegal dumping by offering disposal options for materials and substances banned from landfills, such as tires, toxic and hazardous waste, and medical waste. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection recommends chipping or shredding tires so that they can be recycled in other uses such as highways, playgrounds, and running tracks.

The station yard has six tracks. In addition to two running tracks for the Milan - Venice railway, there is a third track for overtaking, and three reserved for the composition and transit of freight trains or the storage of rail vehicles used for the maintenance of the line. It is situated on street track on Southchurch Drive near its junction with Farnborough Road, and is one of four such tram stops situated on or adjacent to Southchurch Drive, the others being Rivergreen, Clifton Centre and Holy Trinity. The stop comprises a pair of side platforms flanking the running tracks. It is on line 2 of the NET, from Clifton via the city centre to Phoenix Park.

As college football gained in popularity, the smaller college playing fields and/or running tracks (which also frequently had the suffix "Field") gave way to large stadiums, many of them built during the sport's "boom" of the 1920s. Major league baseball enjoyed a similar boom. One of the first major league ballparks to be called a "stadium" was actually the Polo Grounds, which was temporarily renamed Brush Stadium from its reconstruction in 1911 until the death of owner John T. Brush in the 1920s. By then, the most famous baseball "stadium" of them all had been constructed: Yankee Stadium.

The construction will start after the 2014 Allsvenskan season and will be finished in early to mid 2017. This will be the fourth updating of the arena since 1985. Before 1985 the arena was in a dreadful state with athletic running tracks, wooden stands, and a very poor lighting system. The name of this arena has no actual connection to the Olympic Games, but since the modern Olympic's started in 1896 and Olympia was opened two years later, it seems a possible thought that the name was influenced by the at the time renewed Olympic Games.

Funding was proposed to come from selling the residential and commercial properties and grants from NFF and the Ministry of Culture. The project also included new floodlights and a new club house. The municipal chief of administration, Svein Blix, stated that the project would also have to pay for the operation of the new venue and the construction of a new athletics venue, as the plans called to remove the running tracks at Aspmyra. The municipality gave the necessary permissions for construction in December 1997, but required that the club finance the upgrades, which the club could not afford.

Starting on February 18, 1980 and continuing for over a year afterward, Muni replaced surface operations with subway service at all stations in the tunnel. At that point, there were no plans to maintain the street-running tracks on Market Street, but that changed in the late 1980s after the success of several Historic Trolley Festivals. Muni's Embarcadero portal opened in 1998, and was not an original part of the subway's plan; this allowed connections to Caltrain's 4th and King Station. T Third trains began running in the subway with the line's inauguration on April 7, 2007.

A noted philanthropist, Davidson gave extensively to various organizations. He was one of the founders of the Pistons/Palace Foundation, a charity that has donated more than $20 million in cash and merchandise since 1989. In 1995, the foundation partnered with the City of Detroit's Parks and Recreation Department to establish the Partnership to Adopt and Renovate Parks for Kids (PARK) Program, which provided restoration of Detroit parks, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, running tracks and playground equipment. In 1992, the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan was created at Davidson's alma mater, the Ross School of Business.

To the north of the stop, the two running tracks cross each other and run separately in two different street alignments, using Gauntlet track. Trams heading north next call at the Noel Street stop, whilst trams coming south do so via the Hyson Green Market stop. The tram stop opened on 9 March 2004, along with the rest of NET's initial system. With the opening of NET's phase two, The Forest is now on the common section of the NET, where line 1, between Hucknall and Chilwell, and line 2, between Phoenix Park and Clifton, operate together.

The notion of the Program involves "an act to edit function and human activities" as the pretext of architectural design: epitomised in the maxim form follows function, first popularised by architect Louis Sullivan at the beginning of the 20th century. The notion was first questioned in Delirious New York, in his analysis of high-rise architecture in Manhattan. An early design method derived from such thinking was "cross- programming", introducing unexpected functions in room programmes, such as running tracks in skyscrapers. More recently, Koolhaas unsuccessfully proposed the inclusion of hospital units for the homeless into the Seattle Public Library project (2003).

Most public schools in the city have gymnasiums available for public use outside of school hours and there are community-owned and operated hockey arenas and swimming pools, as well as several privately operated fitness centres. Amateur varsity team sports are prevalent for males and females in the city's two senior high schools, Colonel Gray and Charlottetown Rural, as well as the University of Prince Edward Island's varsity teams (the UPEI Panthers) through the institution's affiliation with Canadian Interuniversity Sport. Holland College also has varsity teams, the Holland Hurricanes.

The material that is produced is then used to help create sports surfaces such as basketball courts, running tracks, and playgrounds. A campaign that Nike began for Earth Day 2008 was a commercial that featured basketball star Steve Nash wearing Nike's Trash Talk Shoe, which had been constructed in February 2008 from pieces of leather and synthetic leather waste from factory floors. The Trash Talk Shoe also featured a sole composed of ground-up rubber from a shoe recycling program. Nike claims this is the first performance basketball shoe that has been created from manufacturing waste, but it only produced 5,000 pairs for sale.

For running tracks, many cinder surfaces have been replaced by all-weather synthetic surfaces, which provide greater durability and more consistent results, and are less stressful on runners. The impact on performance as a result of differing track surfaces is a topic often raised when comparing athletes from different eras.

In the winter of 1956, due to very cold weather, the running tracks were covered with water freezing into a skating rink, Sigvard "Sigge" Ericsson, who had won one gold and one silver medal in the recent 1956 Winter Olympics, participated. In 1972 the present day main-stand and scoreboard was completed, replacing the original wooden constructions from 1922. The record for most spectators during a match is held by IS Halmia, in 1962 when Halmia played a qualification match against Landskrona BoIS, 20,381 spectators turned up to see the match. In 2004 when Gyllene Tider celebrated 25 years, by starting and ending their national tour on Örjans Vall.

Seelze and its subdivisions have 3 stations on the Hanover S-Bahn network: Letter, Seelze and Dedensen/Gümmer, all are located on the lines S1 and S2. Seelze Rbf is a very important marshalling yard in Germany (Rbf: Rangierbahnhof, German for "marshalling yard"). It is located on the "Freight train bypass Hanover" (Wunstorf - Lehrte) and has 51 classification tracks, 6 main running tracks and workshops for freight cars and electric locomotives on a length of about 6 km. With about 200 freight trains a day passing through, beginning or ending here, the yard is a major European marshalling yard and one of the biggest German yards.

The game was played on 1 December 1956 from 12:30pm at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Due to the field being set up between the running tracks, right field was only 225 feet, so special ground rules were put in place, stating that a ball hit over the running track on the full will be declared a home run, where one that bounces (or rolls) on or over the track shall be declared a ground rule double. The Southern Stand, built as part of the extensive restoration completed in 1999. In early 1995, largely on the initiative of Malmö FF's vice-chairman Bengt Madsen, Malmö FF and IFK Malmö created a joint project group regarding the future of Malmö IP. This body decided to completely renovate Malmö IP for a second time, constructing new stands and removing the running tracks to create a stadium exclusively for football.Billing, 1996, p. 277. This decision was the result of both clubs' declining attendances during the 1990s—Malmö FF were averaging crowds of less than 5,000 at Malmö Stadion, while IFK were attracting less than 1,000 by 1999.Alsjö, 2011, p. 199.

The Richmond Olympic Oval () is an indoor multi-sports arena in the Canadian city of Richmond, British Columbia. The oval was built for the 2010 Winter Olympics and was originally configured with a speed skating rink. The venue has since been reconfigured and now serves as a community multi-sport park and includes two ice hockey rinks, two running tracks, a climbing wall, a rowing tank and a flexible area which can be used for, among other sports, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and table tennis. The Olympic bid called for the oval to be located on the grounds of Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Burnaby, but Richmond was instead selected in 2004.

In 1968, the then Mayor of Masterton advocated to the Masterton Licensing Trust that the wasteland on the edge of the town, bordered by two rivers, be converted into a recreational lake and parklands. Over the years since, the Trust has supported the Henley Lake scheme with many donations totalling hundreds of thousand dollars so that today, a lake of 14 hectares, parklands with walking and running tracks, wildlife reserves, and public facilities (for example, a Men's Shed) support activities generating many hundreds of visitors daily. In the past ten years, Trust House, the trading arm of the Masterton Licensing Trust and other trusts, has distributed $31.150 million to its communities; with the 2016 charitable distribution being $3,483,000.

For several years, up until 1990, the athletic course in the southwest corner of the stadium had been used for motorcycle speedway races, often gathering attendances of up to 10,000 people, but new safety regulations and several noise complaints from neighbors resulted in this activity being moved to Slangerup. Speedway had worn out the running tracks at the athletic ground. When the local politicians declined to make a bid for the DGI's Landsstævne in 1998, a decision was made to instead invest DKK 15 million on new sports facilities, about half of the amount was to be used on Selskov Stadium, including the athletic ground at Selskov Stadium. A new athletic ground was inaugurated in 1997.

Through Resolution No. 12-184, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Muntinlupa approved a loan of from the Development Bank of the Philippines for the development of the people's park and the construction of recreational facilities within the park along with a pier for port landing purposes. Amenities in the park include gazebos, a central fountain, a covered court, cycling and running tracks, parking lot and a daycare center, as well as several food and beverage stalls. Near the park's entrance on M.L. Quezon Street is the Sucat Barangay Hall, Sucat Health Center and Sucat railway station. The park is lined with palm trees and has a boardwalk and pier extending into the Laguna de Bay.

The LPTB's principal purpose for the extension was to stimulate the development of new residential areas to increase passenger numbers. A secondary purpose was to provide a location suitable for a large new depot that was required to accommodate and maintain the new fleet of 1938 Stock trains to be used across the existing Northern line and the lines taken over from the LNER. The depot was to be constructed to the south of the running tracks between Bushey Heath and Elstree South with access from each end. Bushey Heath station was to be located on the east side of the roundabout junction of Watford By-pass (A41) and Elstree Road (A411).

Due to a lack of space, an additional building, commonly referred to as 'A' Block, was erected in the 1970s. As the school was constructed on what was essentially fields, the St Joseph's campus included a large playing field, comprising a red blaes hockey pitch, running tracks, and space for 4 grass football pitches. St. Conval's High School was later annexed to St. Joseph's in October 1998 and became known as St. Joseph's Cumnock. In 2004 St. Joseph's Cumnock Campus was closed due to falling attendance figures, and the town's Catholic children now attend the new St. Joseph's Academy campus in Kilmarnock, which now serves the entire Secondary Catholic population of East Ayrshire.

The campus also offers a dining hall, a "dungeon" which doubles as a fire shelter, classrooms, Resource centre/library, music rooms, health centre, art centre, dance studio and staff houses. The campus offers running tracks such as the ring road, rainbow track, weir track (a 4 km run), lone pine (originally named Peg Slam J- using the letters of the girls' names who built the track as part of their community service) and more. At the end of each term, a running challenge of 9.4 km is to be run in 1hr, called the Howqua River Road Challenge. It began in 1993 and in 1997 it became compulsory for students to attend the Howqua campus for the duration of a full school year.

The production lines operate in real-time - in that while the player can pause the game to arrange equipment within a production line, the game while running tracks the movement of each unit of material through the production line and only considered each unit as a product when it reaches the end of the production line. In February 2006 LifeTime Fitness (a Minnesota company) opened a 24/7 health club at the edge of the Columbia Gateway industrial park.

It was finished on 30 July 1922 and was then named Halmstads Idrottsplats (eng: Halmstad's Sports Ground), it was opened by the Crown Prince of Sweden Gustaf Adolf, later king of Sweden, 12,000 people had been allowed entrance to see the opening, several thousands more had gathered outside the fence and on Galgberget. In August 1922 the name of the arena changed to Örjans Vall after a medieval hospital by the name of S:t Örjans that had earlier been on the same location. On 3 September 1922 the first football game was played there. Örjans Vall has been used for many different sports over the years, the football field was surrounded by running tracks, until the 1980s, and was the main site for the local athletic clubs.

The school was established in September 2003. It was the first directly subsidised Christian secondary school sponsored by the YMCA of Hong Kong since its establishment in 1901. It was the only EMI school within Tung Chung. In 2009, the new artificial turf pitch, running tracks and grass field were created. At the 2009–2011 school year Dr. Nick Miller, former supervisor of the school, succeeded to serve as the principal. During the governing by Dr. Miller, the international curriculum was introduced to the school in 2010. A school concert of large scale was held in 2011. The Hong Kong curriculum which consisted of the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) and the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) has been replaced by the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) as of 2012.

Approximately 36% (1,261 ha) of the village is leased from the village and local landowners to the Ministry of Defense of Japan and used as United States military bases under the U.S.–Japan Status of Forces Agreement. Areas outside the current boundary of Torii Station were developed as American family housing, but have been returned to Okinawan ownership. Two facilities, Torii Communication Station (Army; 194 ha) and a part of Kadena Ammunition Storage Area (Air Force and Marine; 1066 ha), are located in the village. Senaha Communication Site (Air Force; 61 ha), Sobe Communication Site (aka Elephant Cage, decommissioned in 2006, Navy; 54 ha), and Yomitan Auxiliary Airfield (Marine; 191 ha) were returned in 2007 and have been developed into the Yomitan Village Office and civic facilities, including running tracks and baseball fields.

Around this time, both club and fans began to feel that Malmö Stadion had served it purpose, as the ageing stadium began to deteriorate. Some fans also expressed their discontent with the distance between the pitch and the stands, necessitated by the running tracks surrounding the playing area. Malmö Stad, the city council, announced on 25 April 2005 its intention to either help the club renovate Malmö Stadion, or build a new stadium in the same area. Four days later, five different scenarios were laid out by the municipality: the first proposed the construction of an entirely new, football-specific stadium to the south of Malmö Stadion, while the second suggested the demolition of Malmö Stadion, and the erection of a new ground for football and athletics on the same site.

An iron post, incorporating a red and white disc and bell signal, was positioned between the running tracks at the bottom of the plane and when everything was ready a signal was given to the brakeman, the bell being used when it was misty or dark. When the brakeman was also satisfied that everything was ready at the top, he released the brake and the descending waggons were pushed onto the plane. As the descending waggons approached the bottom the reduced gradient slowed them down and simultaneously this action was assisted by the increased gradient encountered by ascending waggons as they approached the top. When the brakeman was assured that the waggons had completed the full traverse of the plane, he stopped them by fully applying the brake.

Works on September 9, 1965, to serve workers of the plant, which had opened early in the century and been substantially expanded during World War II. The name was changed to River Works in the late 1970s. It did not appear on maps until the MBTA bought the northside commuter lines in 1976, and was listed only as a footnote on public timetables until January 1989. River Works station has two bare concrete platforms with bus shelters to serve the line's two tracks; it is not handicapped accessible. The River Works plant formerly shipped large products like electrical transformers by rail; the two-track main line was flanked with running tracks which connected sidings serving the plant.

Since the 1990s, many station houses along the branch have been rebuilt, including the entire platforms at Seaford from July 2008 to July 2009, Massapequa from late 2013 to mid 2015, and Wantagh from late 2016 to late 2018. Additionally, from July 2007 to April 10, 2011 the signals, switches, and gantries were replaced between Wantagh and Amityville, with color light signals replacing the old position-light signals installed during the elevation of that section in 1973, and work is underway is well into the closing stages of a pocket track East of the Massapequa station that will run in between the two running tracks, this was to be completed by Spring 2016, but is currently on hiatus. Plans for the future include the modernization of Babylon Interlocking, viaduct track replacement at certain stations, replacement of platforms, escalators, and elevators at Babylon.

The original locomotive servicing depot was built on the opposite side of the tracks to the current TMD, by the Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway (S&HR;) in 1856, consisting of a single-road straight shed. As part of their joint-purchase of the S&HR;, the Great Western Railway and the London and North Western Railway agreed to build a new six-road shed on the same site, designed using LNWR architecture principles, utilising the original S&HR; shed as a wagon repair depot. In 1877 the LNWR built a new ten road shed of their own to the south of the site, closer to the running tracks. After the GWR absorbed the constituent railway companies in the area, in 1883 they built a new roundhouse to the rear/east of the existing former joint facilities, and added their own coaling stage.

The E branch (also referred to as the Huntington Avenue branch, or formerly as the Arborway Line) is a light rail line in Boston, Massachusetts, operating as part of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Green Line. The line runs in mixed traffic on South Huntington Avenue and Huntington Avenue between and (the last MBTA street-running tracks in revenue service), in the median of Huntington Avenue to , then into the Huntington Avenue subway. The line merges into the Boylston Street subway just west of , running to via the Tremont Street subway. Horsecar service on Centre and South streets in Jamaica Plain began in 1857, followed by service on Tremont Street (part of which became the west part of Huntington Avenue) to Brookline Village in 1859 and on the east part of Huntington Avenue in 1881–84. Jamaica Plain service was electrified in 1891, and Huntington Avenue service in 1894.

The provision of picnic areas, hot water, barbecues, seats and tables, lawns, shade trees, rubbish disposal points and toilet facilities was similar to that provided by the Board at other dam sites in New South Wales. Some of picnic grounds were landscaped to include visitor facilities such as an oval, running tracks, tennis courts, picnic shelters, electric BBQs, boiling water outlets, group shelters and a kiosk. On completion the area, located to the south of the dam wall, consisted of a ridge between Lavender Creek and Folly Creek divided by a series of roadways and car parks which provided viewing access to the dam and a recreational park for visitors. The principle feature of the park was a double avenue of sweet gum (Liquidambar styraciflua) trees along the access of the ridge punctuated by cross roads and featuring a weather shelter and a fountain design by Spooner.

Prior to her husband's death, there had been word that Southern Pacific intended to connect their Santa Barbara terminus with Santa Monica which would entail running tracks right through the vast 13,315-acre Rindge property. Frederick hatched a plan to take advantage of an obscure Interstate Commerce Commission law that stated if one railway ran through a property, there could be no other railway doing the same. Hence Rindge decided to build his own private track—a utilitarian one to service his cattle ranch—but died before carrying out the plan, leaving the operation up to Rhoda May. She subsequently built the Malibu Pier and 15 miles of standard gauge track, known as the Hueneme, Malibu and Port Los Angeles Railway, that ran down the length of the pier, where a steam-powered crane lifted cattle hides and walnuts onto boats for shipment and grains onto land for cattle-feed.

The level 4 league match, that Viborg FF won 3–2 in windy rain, is reportedly the largest match attendance to a lower ranking Danish league game, outside of the top three divisional structure. Large renovations and expansions to the stadium began in 1998. At that point, club members referred to the 55 years old ground as the most outdated division stadium in Denmark. As a consequence of the first phase, that involved the running tracks for the athletes having synthetic coating installed by 1999 and hence upgrading them to international standards, Skive IK was forced to relocate their professional association football home matches to Egeris Idrætsanlæg (more specifically Bane 1) in the south part of the city — the team played a last game at the stadium, before the renovations commenced, against Skovshoved IF in the fall of 1997 as part of their 1997–98 Danish 2nd Division campaign.

The Main Building, which houses the Manchester United first team, was opened in the pre-season of 2000. It comprises two levels. The ground floor includes; a large gymnasium, indoor running tracks, rehabilitation training hall, squash and basketball courts, weights room, 25-metre swimming pool, remedial and hydrotherapy pools, spa pool, jacuzzi, underwater treadmills, sauna and steam rooms, sunbeds (for Vitamin D), yoga rooms, administration and executive offices, seven team changing rooms, staff changing rooms, laundry rooms and five kit/boot rooms. The first floor includes; the first team manager's office (overlooking outdoor training pitches), manager's personal assistant office, assistant manager's office, coaches offices, match and opposition analysis suite, physiotherapy treatment rooms (with 10 physio beds), massage rooms, first aid station, doctor's office, physio's office (overlooking swimming pools, rehab hall, and weight room), classrooms, conference rooms, charity staff offices (Manchester United Foundation), restaurant seating over 100 people, player's lounge, recreation and games rooms, as well as an elevated, covered viewing gallery overlooking the outdoor pitches.

Many of these early playgrounds were designed by important landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted who was earlier involved with the highly influential design of Central Park, New York. Generally these American playgrounds were incorporated in large public recreation parks, usually with elements such as playgrounds, open air gymnasiums, running tracks and field houses, which provided covered accommodation for halls, administrative offices, libraries and club rooms. Unlike the large recreation parks constructed in the United States for the whole community, the playgrounds established in Queensland by the Playground Association were planned on a smaller scale, focussing solely on children and providing a playground and usually a field house. Usually the playgrounds were associated with an adjacent kindergarten or crèche, and this is thought to have been due to Mary Josephine Bedford's involvement with the Crèche and Kindergarten Association. This group formed in 1907 with the purpose of instituting and maintaining day nurseries and free kindergartens for the children of the poor in Brisbane.

The station, more a halt, was rebuilt, following the start of house building in the locality in the 1930s that saw passenger figures rise from 22,000 per annum in 1930 to 4 millions in 1937 by a new station to a design by Charles Holden and Reginald Uren that opened on 8 August 1938.Rails Through the Clay : Croome & Jackson : Lond : 1962 Work had started in earnest with the opening of a temporary timber booking hall and shops on 14 March 1935 allowing work on the new station to proceed.Rails Through The Clay : Croome & Jackson : Lond : 1962 The station, now Grade 2 Listed by Historic England, features the large cube-shaped brick and glass ticket hall capped with a flat reinforced concrete roof and geometrical forms typical of the new stations built in this period. To the west of the station, there is a reversing siding between the running tracks and, during the day, half of the Piccadilly line service reverses here.

Today the organization continues its active program as "an institution which houses all forms of Jewish activity and which brings to its doors men, women, and children for the enrichment of their personality and for the growth of their Jewish life." The Omaha Jewish Community Center houses a number of programs and organizations, including the Jewish Federation of Omaha, the Kripke Jewish Federation Library, the Jewish Press, the Center for Jewish Education, the Dan and Esther Gordman Center for Jewish Learning, the Institute for Holocaust Education, and the ADL/CRC. Facilities at the JCC include the Friedel Jewish Academy, theatre, art gallery space, dance and music studios, meeting rooms and classrooms, the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home, the Herbert Goldsten Synagogue and Livingston Plaza Apartments. There is an indoor pool and outdoor aquatic center, baseball, soccer, basketball, and handball facilities, two indoor running tracks, men's and women's health clubs, and a health and fitness center.

In 1999, whilst seeking a potential business investment, Chaudry bought the failing WaterWorld aqua park from The Rank Group, for £1.5 million. Starting a major £10 million refurbishment, Chaudry quickly made WaterWorld a popular attraction. He managed to make a profit in the first year and has continued to do so every year since. The WaterWorld complex now receives over 400,000 visitors annuallyWaterWorld 2000: The UK's No.1 Indoor Tropical Aqua Park and is regarded as the most profitable water-based visitor attraction in the UK. Chaudry has continued to expand and develop Waterworld and in 2018 announced plans for four new rides as well as vast expansion of the site, housing an 18,000sqft golf facility as well as the relocated M Club premium gym. An outdoor ‘boot camp’ area with jogging and running tracks will also be created, while the site will be linked to the Trent and Mersey Canal, creating a new pedestrian access.

The signage consists vertical neon tubes in the red and blue colors of Hvidovre IF, while green symbolise the empty football field during the 15 minutes break in between the first and second halfs, and programmed to turn on and off at fixed times in the morning and evening to form a slow-changing image, meant to symbolise the phases of an association football match. Both light displays were designed by one of Denmark's then leading light artists, Thorbjørn Lausten. In 2014, the existing floodlights with a light intensity of 400 lux were upgraded to 1000 lux to meet the requirements for showing televised evening matches in the Danish Superliga. During three months in the summer of 2016, the running tracks surrounding the exhibition field were expanded and upgraded from the existing six lanes to eight lanes, the existing red colored tracks were renovated and replaced with blue coating, the sewer in front of the grandstand was renovated, a new roof for the clubhouse, while undersoil heating was installed on both the main football pitch and lane 1 inside the stadium.
