This split format allows drivers to run both races. Each race is the same distance, as it would be if the two classes were running together. This did however make GT races slightly longer than combined events, since GT cars would likely finish several laps behind the winning prototype and thus not cover the full distance. When the GT and DP races were combined, the two classes would use a motorcycle racing-style "wave start," a concept from Roger Edmonson, who had been in motorcycle racing before organising the Grand American series with the France family.

Muller was quickest in the first part of qualifying, López and Loeb were second and third. The Social Democratic Party (PSD) ran in 2014 as part of the a three-party alliance that also included the Conservative Party (Romania) (PC, a founding member of the ADLE party in 2015) and the National Union for the Progress of Romania (UNPR). Initially it intended to run as "Social Democratic Union", but, as the same name was used by an alliance in the 1990s by the now defunct Democratic Party (PD) and Social Democratic Party of Romania (PSDR), they ran as "PSD-UNPR-PC Alliance", Save Romania Union and Freedom, Unity and Solidarity Party are running together under the 2020 USR-PLUS Alliance. Includes the Civic Force (2,6% in 2014), which merged into the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) in July 2014, which itself merged into the PNL in November 2014.

The 2014 Alaska gubernatorial election took place on November 4, 2014, to elect the governor and lieutenant governor of Alaska, concurrently with the election of Alaska's Class II U.S. Senate seat, as well as other elections to the United States Senate in other states and elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections. Incumbent Republican Governor Sean Parnell ran for re-election to a second full term in office, but incumbent lieutenant governor Mead Treadwell instead chose to run for the U.S. Senate. Primary elections were held on August 19, 2014, to determine party nominees for the office, with separate primaries held for governor and lieutenant governor and the winners running together on the same ticket. Parnell was renominated; his running mate was Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan.

Laffoy J. therefore determined that the High Court had failed to adequately consider the significance of the disclaimer where the appellant made it clear that details in the brochure were not warranted. O'Donnell J. concluded that the High Court had erred in "running together the analysis of a claim for a negligent act (incorrect measurement of the floor area of the property) and a claim for negligent misstatement (contained in the particulars of the property in the brochure) leading to the assumption that there existed a duty of care and, only then, looking to the disclaimer to consider whether it was sufficient to exclude that presumed duty of care." O'Donnell J. held that the approach of the High Court was more appropriate to the consideration of an exemption clause that seeks to limit a contractual liability that was already extant.

The forewings are ochreous whitish with an irregular streak of yellow- ochreous suffusion along the fold throughout, and some irregular lighter patches on the dorsal area. The discal stigmata are indicated by undefined spots of yellow-ochreous suffusion, sometimes with a few black specks, the plical by a short fine linear mark of black scales, very obliquely before the first discal. There is a patch of raised (probably erectile) whitish scales beneath fold in the middle of the wing and a slightly projecting tuft of raised scales on the middle of the costa, preceded by a blackish dot, from about which proceed two very oblique obscure pale ochreous streaks running together into the apex. An irregular transverse brown blotch is found on the costa at two-thirds, reaching rather more than halfway across the wing, crossing these.

Flag of the Stalin Bloc The Stalin Bloc – For the USSR (Stalinskii blok – za SSSR ) was a coalition of communist political parties in Russia running together for the 1999 elections of the State Duma. This coalition was composed by many small radical political parties including "Labour Russia" led by Viktor Anpilov, Union of Officers led by Stanislav Terekhov, "Union" led by G.I. Tikhonov, the Peoples Patriotic Union of Youth led by I.O. Maliarov, Union of Workers of Moscow, Bolshevik Platform CPSU, All-Union Communist Party Bolsheviks, Russian Association of Miners Invalids, Congress of Soviet Women, All Union Society for studying the legacy of Stalin and the Vanguard of Red Youth. Aside from the leaders of the above movements, the Stalin Bloc included Joseph Stalin's well-known grandson, Yevgeny Dzhugashvili, a retired air force colonel. The Bloc obtained 0.61% and 404,274 votes in the 1999 Duma Election.

Shortly after, the party reached an agreement with ERC to form an electoral alliance for the 2014 European Parliament election under the umbrella of The Left for the Right to Decide, after which Maragall proposed in June "an agreement for the reconstruction of the Socialist space and reuniting the Catalan left" including ERC, ICV and dissidents from the PSC, but also the Popular Unity Candidacy (CUP). In August 2014, NECat entered talks with Avancem, the political party founded by former PSC deputy Joan Ignasi Elena, to merge into a new party with the intention of running together in the 2015 Spanish local elections. The talks were joined by another PSC split, Moviment Catalunya, but ended up in Avancem rejecting the merger, leading to the new party—which would be branded as Left Movement on 30 November 2014—being formed by NECat and Moviment only.

Mansell started from pole position but yielded the lead to Ayrton Senna's Lotus at the second corner on lap 1 and fell behind both Piquet and Keke Rosberg on the same lap. Piquet also overtook Senna on lap 1 to take the lead but it would last only six laps as on lap 7, Rosberg took the lead from Piquet and began to build a sizeable gap between himself and the rest of the field. On lap 23 Piquet spun, although no damage was sustained to the car, and he continued the race despite dropping back several places. Prost suffered a puncture a few laps later and he dropped to fourth position after having to pit. Piquet charged back through the field, passing Mansell for second place on lap 44, but Prost closed on the two Williams cars and, with 25 laps to go, all three championship contenders were running together in positions 2, 3 and 4.
