However, the review complimented York and Agutter as "gifted". Charles Champlin of the Los Angeles Times was mixed, writing that "its visual razzle-dazzle ... propels 'Logan's Run' past some foolish concocting, indifferent acting, slow pacing and uncertain toning."Champlin, Charles (June 22, 1976).
Wagons would pull up under the seven-story tower and be hoisted up by a platform lift. Once in place, rifles, cannon, or other materiel was unloaded at the appropriate floor. The Powder Magazine was built in 1866, and was used to store gunpowder and other volatile substances. Sid served as the club's real-life mascot from 2009 to 2017. Scout The real-life mascot for the Western Bulldogs is a four-month old bulldog named Caesar. He can be seen walking around the perimeter of the ground prior to the game. He then waits for the players to come out on the ground; they give him a pat as they run past to the banner.
Players can hide behind objects or in shadows, and can strike or run past an enemy when the enemy is facing the other way. If the player attracts the attention of enemies, they may be able to hide and wait until the enemies abandon their search. Thus, planning becomes important, as does trial-and-error. Some stealth games put more emphasis on physical combat skill when the player is spotted.
Foote was hampered by ambiguous or even contradictory orders from Halleck, who was distracted at the time by preparations for the advance along the Tennessee River that soon culminated in the Battle of Shiloh (or Pittsburg Landing). As early as March 17, Pope was asking that two or three gunboats run past the Confederate batteries, to enable him to cross the river and trap the entire garrison.ORA I, v. 8, p. 619.
Australia played against the Barbarians one week after winning the Grand Slam. That match is perhaps best remembered for David Campese's zig-zagging run that turned Welsh centre Robert Ackerman inside out in the process, before Campese, opting not to run past Ackerman in the process of confounding him, but rather offered himself to be tackled before passing the ball to Michael Hawker for a try. Campese received praise for other moments in this game.

At the end the five are released, and the girls are shown being brought to the asylum instead, as the group run past and tease them.
Saul notices a young peasant boy peeking into the shed and smiles at him, the only time he is shown with a smile. The boy runs away, and makes it a short distance before an SS officer grabs and silences him as guards run past in the direction of the shed. When they have all passed, the officer releases him, and the camera follows the boy into the woods, as the sound of gunfire echoes behind him.
250px The Pelé runaround move is a football move designed to get around an opponent.Roger Kenneth Macdonald, Scientific Soccer of the Seventies, Pelham: 1971, pp. 8-47 The move requires split-second timing and speed in execution - letting a pass from a teammate approach but allowing it run past the opponent, then sprinting around the opposing player to continue the attack. It relies on speed for its execution in situations where there is little time or space.
Grant made five attempts to capture Vicksburg by water routes; however, all failed. With the Union impatient for a victory, in March 1863, the second stage to capture Vicksburg began. Grant marched his troops down the west side of the Mississippi River and crossed over at Bruinsburg. Adm. David D. Porter's navy ships had previously made a run past Vicksburg's batteries on April 16, 1863, enabling Union troops to be transported to the east side of the river.
Sensing the danger, Woodruff slowed, dropping to sixth place but giving himself free running room. With a long relaxed stride, the tall Woodruff ran around the outside and past Edwards into the lead. Heading into the final turn, Edwards again accelerated into the lead, but Woodruff stayed with him as both separated from Kucharski and Chuck Hornbostel. With the trailers struggling, a path down the rail opened up for Mario Lanzi to run past them on the inside.

Faster services on the Hallam line currently run past the former station on their way from Normanton to Woodlesford. These have operated since 2006, with alternate trains running through to since December 2008. Slower trains since 1988 instead follow an alternative route along the former North Eastern Railway lines from Normanton to Castleford, where they have to reverse direction, rather than the direct line through Altofts. The industrial estates associated with Wakefield Europort now surround the unredeveloped station site.
Duncormick railway station was located about 1.5 miles from the village of Duncormick in County Wexford, Ireland. Bus Éireann route 381 from Wexford to Blackhall serves Duncormick on Tuesdays-only.
The hot wire method for the production of KrF2 uses krypton in a solid state with a hot wire running a few centimeters away from it as fluorine gas is then run past the wire. The wire has a large current, causing it to reach temperatures around 680 °C. This causes the fluorine gas to split into its radicals, which then can react with the solid krypton. Under ideal conditions, it has been known to reach a maximum yield of 6 g/h.
The stone was named for Louis Thoen. In 1966, historian Frank Thomson published a book about the stone, titled The Thoen Stone: A Saga of the Black Hills. A monument complete with a replica of the stone was later placed on a hill above the Spearfish City Park, and an annual seven-mile run past the marker is named after the stone. Doom metal band Pine Beetle has a song called "Thoen" which is based on the Thoen Stone mystery.
The library already has access to the two lines on the LRT system from Churchill station, and the Valley Line, scheduled to be completed in 2021, will run past the library on 102 Avenue. It was turbo charged." On 20 August 2011, Kelly played for the whole match away to Arsenal and helped Liverpool keep a clean sheet in a 2–0 victory."Arsenal 0–2 Liverpool".
The purpose of the purchase was to stop the sale of alcoholic drinks within two miles of the campground. Between 1873 and 1874, further additions were made to the campground. In 1875, a special train started to run past the campground three times a week during the camp meeting season. By 1881, the special train ran past the campground once per day. In 1884, the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Philadelphia and Reading Railway began selling special fair excursion tickets for the campground.
Although larger locomotives did run past Nancegollan in the branch's dying days the Class 22s ran on the branch even though they were a GWR blue classification, higher than the branch line. In April 1957, Nancegollan won £10 (£238.65 in today's money) in the British Railways Western Region Station Gardens Competition. The branch was closed for passengers on 5 November 1962. Goods traffic continued for a further two years, finally ceasing on 5 October 1964; the track was lifted by mid-1965.
A player must decide on what resources to use and risk, such as melee combat, shooting an enemy and using their small amount of ammunition, using the environment to deal with enemies or trying to run past and avoid the enemies. There are varying types of enemies, making the levels and strategies needed harder. The player will need to find a hidden code at each station to get the train moving again and also find resources such as ammo, food and survivors.
In 1964, Route 107 was defined to run past Interstate 405 along Hawthorne Boulevard, which renamed itself La Brea Avenue upon entering Inglewood at Century Boulevard, then turned west on Centinela Avenue to meet Interstate 405 again in Culver City. In 1965, the portion from Route 405 in Lawndale to Route 405 in Culver City was deleted. It was to have been upgraded to a freeway and was tentatively named the "Torrance Freeway." Until 1998, Route 107 continued further north to Interstate 405.
The most complex designs use vine choppers and shakers, along with a blower system to separate the potatoes from the plant. The result is then usually run past workers who continue to sort out plant material, stones, and rotten potatoes before the potatoes are continuously delivered to a wagon or truck. Further inspection and separation occurs when the potatoes are unloaded from the field vehicles and put into storage. Immature potatoes may be sold as "creamer potatoes" and are particularly valued for taste.
On December 12, 1862, the Queen of the West was one of the ships that accompanied the USS Cairo up the Yazoo River. The Cairo was struck by a 'torpedo' or naval mine and began to sink rapidly. The Queen of the West was able to rescue part of the crew from the Cairo before it sank. In February 1863, the Queen of the West was run past the batteries of Vicksburg, Mississippi to support Admiral David Farragut south of the city.
Tuscumbia withdrew under heavy fire from shore batteries, prompting the decision to shift operations below Vicksburg to Grand Gulf. Tuscumbia participated in the run past the Vicksburg batteries to New Carthage on the night of 16 April and 17 April 1863, towing the damaged transport Forest Queen to safety. On 20 April, USS General Price and Tuscumbia reconnoitered the Mississippi from New Carthage to Grand Gulf and took part in the attack on the Confederate works at Grand Gulf on 29 April.
Kineo continued her operations on the lower Mississippi for more than a year. She took part in engagements at Grand Gulf on 26 May, Baton Rouge in early August, Donaldsonville, Louisiana in October and Port Hudson in December 1862. On 14 March 1863, Kineo was tied alongside USS Monongahela for a run past enemy fortifications at Port Hudson. Their efforts were thwarted when Monongahela's rudder was disabled, but the gunboat was able to pull her larger consort out of danger.
On April 18, the mortar boats opened fire. Their shells fell with great accuracy, and although one of the boats was sunk by counter-fire and two more were disabled, Fort Jackson was seriously damaged. However, the defenses were by no means crippled, even after a second bombardment on April 19. A formidable obstacle to the advance of the Union main fleet was a boom between the forts, designed to detain vessels under close fire if they attempted to run past.
The two-story brick building combines the Neoclassical and Romanesque Revival styles. It sits on the northeast corner of an intersection and its rounded corner follows the curve of the intersection. The commercial space adjacent to the north is also a part of this building with hotel rooms on the second floor. Railroad tracks at one time were located just north of the hotel, which served the passengers from the railroad and later travelers from the highways that run past the hotel.
Segment 3 will run past US 75 to the future north extension of the Dallas North Tollway in Celina. This section will run through extreme north McKinney, close to Weston and cross SH 289 (Preston Road) before ending at the Dallas North Tollway. This section could possibly be extended further west through Denton County as part of a larger outer loop. As of July 2017, Collin County is in the process of acquiring the land required to extend the current section opened to traffic.
It was intended to incorporate the Historic Mill into this project as the road was to run from the Gate of Triumph, east of Sanssouci Park, and run past the newly built Orangery Palace to the Belvedere on the Klausberg. The March Revolution of 1848 and a lack of finance, however, meant that this grand project came to nothing. In 1858 the last miller finished his tenancy. Because the king refused to allow other applicants to run the mill, the building became open to visitors in 1861.
Brule River crossing as WIS 139 transitions to M-189 M-189 starts at the Wisconsin state line in the middle of a bridge crossing the Brule River that connects to WIS 139\. The highway runs to the northeast away from the river through forests. The trunkline turns north and curving to the east to run past Laurel Lake. The highway forks at the junction with Caspian Cutoff Road (County Road 651); M-189 takes the northwesterly fork and runs around the west side of Caspian.
Cloudbleed was a security bug discovered on February 17, 2017 affecting Cloudflare's reverse proxies, which caused their edge servers to run past the end of a buffer and return memory that contained private information such as HTTP cookies, authentication tokens, HTTP POST bodies, and other sensitive data. As a result, data from Cloudflare customers was leaked out and went to any other Cloudflare customers that happened to be in the server's memory on that particular moment. Some of this data was cached by search engines.
A good relationship quickly developed between Ramsey and his new manager, who found that they shared similar personalities and views on tactics. Like Ramsey, Rowe believed in a progressive, fast-moving style of play. These ideas evolved into "push-and- run", a playing style unlike anything previously attempted in British football, based around quick passing. Tottenham pioneered the style to good effect—a Spurs player moving forward would lay the ball off to a teammate, then run past the opposing defender to receive an immediate return pass.
Daniel and Bock, Island No. 10, p. 80. After Foote had flatly rejected Pope's request that gunboats run past Island No. 10, someone on Pope's staff suggested that perhaps a canal could be cut to enable Union vessels to bypass the batteries.Controversy concerning authorship of the plan for the canal arose later. Brig. Gen. Schuyler Hamilton asserted that he was the first person to suggest it, but Colonel J. W. Bissell had already sketched out a plan before Hamilton brought it up in a meeting with Pope.
On 6 February 1862, while serving as the First Master of , Hoel was wounded during the Battle of Fort Henry. Less than two months later, on 4 April, he volunteered to pilot gunboat Carondelet in her famous run past the Rebel batteries at Island Number 10 to reach Maj. Gen. John Pope's Army at New Madrid. The gunboat's valiant dash through a hailstorm of Confederate fire enabled Union forces to cross the river and to take this key island with quantities of cannon, equipment and stores.
Newmarket was also the site of Newmarket Workshops, which opened in 1878, and closed in 1927, when Otahuhu Workshops opened. The historical configuration of the station, near Newmarket Junction (the junction of the Western and Southern Lines), forced some unusual movements. Trains from the city had to run past the junction to call at the station, as they do to this day. There were two platforms in an island configuration, and all city-bound trains stopped at one platform, outbound trains stopping at the other.
In January 1863, the ram fleet ships participated in the Battle of Arkansas Post. Pointe au Baril may refer to the original Barrel on the Point reference or the actual village, built around a train station, about six nautical miles (11 km, 7 miles) away. Highway 69 follows the same path as the railway and they both run past the east tip of what is known as the Main Channel. This channel is a well marked route from the village to the lighthouse. The village has a North Shore and a South Shore road but islander travel is by boat.
In the Round of 16 at the World Cup, he made a run past three Chilean defenders to set up Robinho for the third goal in a 3–0 victory. Dunga, the then-Brazilian head coach, blamed their quarter-final loss to the Netherlands on the absence of Ramires, who was serving suspension. Ramires was named in a 23-man squad for the 2011 Copa América tournament held in Argentina. On 2 June, Ramires was named in Brazil's squad for the 2014 World Cup, held in Brazil.
Many of the larger smoothbore cannon (32-pounder and up) were rifled and equipped with breech bands to support larger powder charges and extend their effective range during the Civil War. This process is referred to as "banded and rifled". During the Civil War, naval officers learned that their steamships and ironclad vessels could run past Confederate-held Third System forts with acceptable losses, such as at Mobile Bay. The urgencies of war required that new forts or improvements be constructed quickly and at low cost.
Wyoming, in hostile territory, then grounded in uncharted waters shortly after she had made one run past the forts. The Japanese steamer, in the meantime, had slipped her cable and headed directly for Wyoming -- possibly to attempt a boarding. The American man-of-war, however, managed to work free of the mud and then unleashed her 11-inch Dahlgren guns on the enemy ship, hulling and damaging her severely. Two well-directed shots exploded her boilers and, as she began to sink, her crew abandoned the ship.

The 10k course leads runners out of the park by the cricket pitch and joins up with the half marathon course along the beech belt before turning back through the fields. Participants then run past Manor Farm and up on to Harley Down. The trail then follows the lanes through Wimborne St Giles before entering the park via the main entrance and on to the finish line in front of St Giles House. The Run takes runners through the historic estate's woodlands, green leafy forest, around fields, and along the bridleway tracks.
From the bloomery furnace, WV 127 curves southeastward through the historic community of Bloomery where its sign reads "Bloomery: On the Road to Everywhere." After Bloomery, WV 127 continues following Bloomery Run past many old stagecoach inns and farmhouses. At a gap in Bear Garden Mountain (1572 ft), WV 127 curves eastward through the community of Good, then straddles the border between Hampshire County and Frederick County, Virginia. WV 127 crosses over the Virginia line and becomes VA 127 at the entrance of I.L. Pugh Road (CR 6/2).
The spur runs along MD 20 and MD 445. A state-designated extension of the national byway continues across the Bay Bridge, into Annapolis, then back onto the Eastern Shore and heads south toward Crisfield. Both the national and state-designated sections of the byway run past many towns and buildings that remain preserved from the 18th and 19th centuries, passing through farmland and waterfront areas on the Chesapeake Bay. The Upper Eastern Shore section of the byway begins in Chesapeake City, a town located at the western end of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.
Train of class 481 on S-Bahn line 7 on the way to Ahrensfelde The station is elevated and consists of a 159-metre-long island platform with two platform tracks on the S-Bahn line, which is otherwise single track in this area. Trains regularly pass each other at the station. The two main line tracks of the Berlin–Magdeburg railway run past to the south of the station. Both platforms are each connected by stairs with skylights to an entrance room, which formerly included ticket offices.
The summit at Aisgill is the highest point reached by main line trains in England. The tunnel at Lazonby was constructed at the request of a local vicar as he did not want the railway to run past the vicarage. Water troughs were laid between the tracks at Garsdale enabling steam engines to take water without losing speed. The remains of the navvies' camp at Rise Hill tunnel were investigated by Channel 4's Time Team in 2008, for a programme that was broadcast on 1 February 2009.
A two car passenger-train provides railbus service besides daily round-trip service between Seton Portage and Lillooet, stopping also in Shalalth, limited service farther south to the Ponderosa Ranch (near D'Arcy) and may be chartered to run past the Ponderosa Ranch to D'Arcy, which is forty-five minutes north of Pemberton at the head of Anderson Lake. Note: there are often minor delays by mountain goats and/or bighorn sheep. They scatter for the CN's freight-trains but show no fear of the two-car self- propelled passenger train.
Bad Bill the Gila monster attacks them, stealing Beans' saddle bag. After a firefight, sunlight is reflected off some sunglasses and lights Excelsior's tail on fire, causing him to run past a firework, lighting the fuse.
From here it continues straight to Landstuhl or via Kaiserslautern. Here the southern branch which runs from Göllheim and past the ruins of Rosenthalerhof Abbey reaches the abbey church in Enkenbach. In Landstuhl the two legs re- unite with the North Route of the Palatine Ways of St. James and run past the pilgrim church in Vogelbach to Homburg. Whilst the North Route now heads for Hornbach, the Abbey Route leaves the Palatinate and joins the Saarland Route in Blieskastel, which runs from Hornbach via Saarbrücken to Metz.
The northward section would link up with the Chester Canal and hence the River Dee before continuing to the Mersey at Netherpool (now Ellesmere Port). The southerly section of the waterway would pass through Overton before heading towards Shrewsbury. There would be branches to Bersham and Brymbo, where there were ironworks, to Llanymynech, where limestone was being quarried, and it would run past Whitchurch to Prees. A rival group proposed a branch from the Chester Canal to reach Ruabon, via Whitchurch, with additional lines to Llanymynech and Shrewsbury.
It continues to run past a handful of smaller businesses to Olean's downtown district, where it meets NY 16 at Union Street. East of here, NY 417 diverges from the STE as it crosses over Olean Creek and follows the Allegheny River into the slightly less populated town of Portville. The route continues for about to the village of Portville, the site of a brief concurrency with NY 305\. NY 417's southeast heading continues east of the small village, taking the road away from the river and into Allegany County.
These panels can be detected with a spell, while the darts can simply be run past. Succeeding in navigating the cave's dangers will result in coming upon a pit in the floor which leads to the dragon himself. The fight with the dragon alternates with the player- character and the dragon taking steps towards one another in turns. If the player has recruited any of the soldiers, they march of their own accord up to the dragon to help serve as a distraction and occasionally dealing (and being dealt) damage.
At length the Company agreed the L&SWR; terms. The Company submitted the line for formal approval by the Board of Trade's Railway Inspectorate, and Colonel Yolland visited on 27 December 1867, but he objected to the Company's proposed connection at Colyton (i.e. the junction with the L&SWR; main line): branch trains arriving were to run past the station and then propel back 200 yards to use the down (westbound) platform of the main line, rather than having a separate bay platform. There were numerous other matters of detail objected to.
Sign at the entrance of the venue – Myślęcinek Park The course for the race was flat with a number of turns and was grassy and reasonably dry underfoot. An unusual addition to the relatively straightforward course was the placement of large wooden logs on the course as hurdles. This aspect came under criticism from Jason Henderson of Athletics Weekly, who commented that the course "seems to be some kind of children’s play park, runners also have to run past a bizarre-looking wooden crocodile."Henderson, Jason (27 March 2010).
Sternschanze is a small cul-de-sac between station to the south and Sternschanzenpark to the north. The western, main entrance for the S-Bahn platform is located at the intersection of Sternschanze and Schanzenstraße. A common entrance for U-Bahn and S-Bahn is located at the S-Bahn's eastern entrance, some 150 meter further down Sternschanze. The island platform and tracks for the S-Bahn are elevated on a rail dam, along with tracks for regional and long distance trains that run past the station south of it.
About 1 a.m. on August 15, 1982, two teenagers, Marilyn Green and her fiance Jerry Hillard, were shot and killed near a swimming pool in Washington Park on the south side of Chicago. The final started with returning silver medalist Kim Gallagher running the fastest first turn to take the lead at the break. But that was short lived as the two East German teammates ran past her down the backstretch, Christine Wachtel on the inside, leading Sigrun Wodars tight on her shoulder. Inna Yevseyeva moved to the outside to run past Gallagher, with Slobodanka Čolović in her wake while Gallagher had her teammate Delisa Walton-Floyd a step behind her. As Yevseyeva moved forward, the first lap was a fast 56.43.
Within the Bridekirk area the only public transport was a bus service, but recent budget cuts have led to this being discontinued. Buses still run past Dovenby on the main road, and near to Bridekirk on the main Carlisle road. The nearest main road is the A595 which goes directly north-east to Carlisle, approximately from Bridekirk. For a public transport route, there is a bus route from Cockermouth to Maryport and then it takes approximately 45 minutes for the old Maryport and Carlisle Railway route to get from Maryport to Carlisle.
The duration of winter guard shows depends on the class in which the guard is performing. In competition settings, each winter guard team is allotted a set amount of time to set up staging (including a vinyl floor if the guard is using one, and any props associated with the performance), place all equipment, perform the show, and remove staging, props, and equipment. Setup and tear-down typically run two minutes each, and performances run around five minutes. Judges impose penalties on teams that run past the allotted time.
The White Rabbit Chapter One – Down the Rabbit Hole: Alice, a seven-year-old girl, is feeling bored and drowsy while sitting on the riverbank with her elder sister. She finds a little key to a door too small for her to fit through, but through it, she sees an attractive garden.
Another neighbor testified that he heard the defendant threaten to kill his father and the father's body hitting the ground, and then, through his peephole, saw the defendant run past his door. The boy has a violent past and had recently purchased a switchblade of the same type as was found at the murder scene, but claimed he lost his. The knife at the scene had been cleaned of fingerprints. The jurors at first seem to take the decision lightly. Juror 7 in particular is anxious to catch his tickets to the baseball game.
The seal dribble is a form of dribbling in association football. It is performed by flicking the ball up from the ground onto the head, whereby the player then proceeds to run past opponents, whilst bouncing the ball on top of his forehead, imitating a seal. The seal dribble makes it very hard for the defending team to challenge legally. This is due to the awkward height at which the ball is while the manoeuvre is performed, and means that many attempted challenges are dangerous and may result in fouls.
Johnny tells the narrator how the creature almost got him the night before, showing his ripped shirt as evidence of his close escape; the narrator returns with a tale of how he heard it knock over some lumber during his own trip through. The narrator has never seen the creature, but can feel its presence. When the boys run past the dark place their hearts race and their imagination runs wild. As they compare their experiences they conjure up a monster with big clawed feet, scales, a long tail and yet has no face.
After landing that barrier, defending champion Kemboi took off sprinting passing Jager on the inside and his compatriots on the outside before taking the next barrier clearly in the lead. After opening up a gap through the water jump, Conseslus came back swinging wide on the home stretch looking like he was going to run past Kemboi. Instead Conseslus had to noticeably adjust his stride, taking the final barrier awkwardly. Kemboi took it smoothly and sprinted home to victory, drifting out only to lane 3 this time in celebration.
In the event Heseltine was too preoccupied by the political matters to pay much attention to the MINIs reports which had taken so long to produce. Heseltine disliked dealing with paperwork, and insisted on having plenty of time to take decisions, and that all reports sent to him had to be first run past one of his advisers for comments. Staff numbers fell by 20,000 (one in twelve) during Heseltine's time at Defence, and many services were privatised, including the Royal Ordnance Factories whilst the Royal Navy Dockyards at Devonport and Rosyth were put under private management.Crick 1997, pp. 251–3.
It may be advantageous to leave squads in an encounter while others squads run past the enemy squad so engaged. Formations can be chosen to take advantage of a squad's particular makeup. For example, all of a squad's Archers can be placed in the rear while the Barbarians form a line in the front. The game supported per-type orders during battle, so one could alternately place archers upfront with a gap; put knights within the gap; order the archers to fire while the knights hold; then order the archers to fall back while the knights attacked.
The source of the Schwalm The source of the Schwalm is in a wetland area south of the German village of Wegberg- Tüschenbroich at an elevation of about . From there the river flows mainly through the Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park, its riverbed running between the rivers Rur, Nette and Niers. Of its total length from this source to its mouth on the Meuse, near the village of Swalmen at about , 13 kilometres of the river run through Dutch territory. Parts of the river which, for example, run past the villages of Wegberg, Niederkrüchten, Schwalmtal, Brüggen-Born, Brüggen and Swalmen, form natural meanders.
By April 1898, trams had ceased to run past Strond Street into Clarence Place as the operation of the railway between Dover Harbour station and Dover Marine station caused much delay to trams trying to use that section of track, although the service was later restored. Two more trams were ordered that month. The first of the new cars was delivered in June 1898, when it was announced that a total of five more trams was on order. The new trams would allow a five-minute service on the Buckland route and a ten-minute service on the Maxton route.
West Haven has full service on the New Haven Line, as well as from the handful of Shore Line East trains which run past New Haven to Stamford. After a decade of studies, planning, and controversy over the station site, ground was broken for the station on November 10, 2010. The $80 million project included the station, with two 12-car platforms, a glass station building, and an overhead pedestrian bridge, as well as the restoration of the formerly abandoned fourth mainline track through the station. It is only the second new station on the line in a century, after in 2011.
It was renamed as Nuneaton Abbey Street to avoid confusion with Trent Valley station, when the Midland Railway and the London and North Western Railway were grouped to create the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS). The station came under the control of British Railways in 1948. The station was closed on 4 March 1968, and all services were diverted through Trent Valley station. Today, trains still run past the site of the station on the Birmingham-Leicester-Peterborough Line, but little physical trace of the station remains, as the platforms and most of the station buildings have been removed.
Technically known as a bear hug, lariat combination, this was the traditional finishing move of The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart). Neidhart would lift the opponent in a bearhug in the center of the ring, while Hart leaned against the ringside ropes, facing the opponent's back. Hart would then run past the two and bounce off the ropes on the opposite side of the ring. On his return, Hart would make a running leap and perform a lariat takedown on the opponent as Neidhart let go of him, resulting in both Hart and the opponent falling onto their backs.
MD 64 begins at an intersection with US 40 (Dual Highway) in a commercial area adjacent to the municipal golf course in the eastern part of the city of Hagerstown. The state highway heads north as Cleveland Avenue, a two-lane undivided street through a residential neighborhood. MD 64 turns east onto Jefferson Street, which heads east across Hamilton Run past Westwood Street, beyond which the highway leaves the city limits and becomes state-maintained. Jefferson Street becomes Jefferson Boulevard at Pangborn Boulevard. MD 64 crosses Antietam Creek and passes close to Antietam Hall as the highway passes between residential subdivisions.
They were augmented by two daily mixed trains to Ross, and these services lasted until 11 September 1967. The railcars operated for a few years more, but as of 9 October 1972, they ceased to run past Greymouth, removing the final passenger service on the line. Taramakau road/rail bridge opening In the early years of the line, timber was the dominant traffic from Ross, and in the 1920s, there was some pressure to operate NZR rolling stock on the Stuart and Chapman Ltd tramway, but this came to nothing and the tramway used private rolling stock until its closure in 1959.
Jonesy rescues a man lost in the forest named Rick McCarthy. He is very ill, so Jonesy and Beaver let him rest and recover inside their cabin. Suddenly, all the forest animals run past their cabin in the same direction; it is implied fear is the motivation as predator and prey flee together, followed by two military helicopters that announce the area is now quarantined. Jonesy and Beaver return to the cabin to find a trail of blood from the bedroom to the bathroom, where Rick is sitting semi-catatonic on the toilet, which is now covered in blood.
As the American Civil War soon showed, it was quite possible for the warships of the day to run past forts and attack up coastal rivers. The government's response was to appoint a Royal Commission on the Defence of the United Kingdom, which published a far-reaching report in 1860. It recommended that a triangle of forts should be established on the lower Thames, east of Gravesend. This would involve replacing the old Coalhouse Fort on the Essex shore with a new fortification, similarly replacing the existing Shornemead Fort and building a wholly new fort at Cliffe.
The Lunar Crater volcanic field is located in Nye County, in the central part of the state of Nevada. The field lies almost north from Rachel, east-northeast from Tonopah and north of Las Vegas. Two highways run past its western and eastern margin, and both Nevada State Route 375 and U.S. Route 6 pass through the volcanic field; the volcanic field is about halfway between Tonopah and Ely along Route 6 and dirt roads run through the area. A parking place lies at the foot of the Easy Chair crater and another on the rim of Lunar Crater.
"The Duel" marked the directorial debut of Dean Holland, a longtime film editor with The Office. The original cut of the episode was 38 minutes long and Holland, who edited it himself, had to trim it down to 22 minutes. During a cold open scene, the Dunder Mifflin employees run past a radar speed sign in the street and compete for the best speed. This was inspired by Aaron Shure, a television producer and The Office screenwriter, who worked on the staff of another television show that held races in front of a radar speed sign in exactly the same way.
View of Fiborgtangen from the fjord Fiborgtangen is a peninsula and industrial site located along Trondheimsfjord in the northwest part of the village of Skogn in the municipality of Levanger in Trøndelag county, Norway. The site hosts the paper mill Norske Skog Skogn and the associated port used to ship newsprint away from the plant. Fiborgtangen is also the site chosen by Industrikraft Midt-Norge to build a thermal power plant powered by natural gas. The site is accessible via a side track from the Nordland Line and from European route E6, which both run past the site.
Johnstone's next cap came that same month in a World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park against Finland. Scotland won 3–1, but Johnstone's performance was unimpressive, with his passing described as "lacking accuracy." Johnstone did not play for Scotland again until 2 April 1966, when he scored his first two international goals in a 4–3 defeat against England at Hampden Park. The first goal came with Scotland trailing 4–1, when he latched on to a pass from Denis Law and used his pace and power to run past the English defence and beat goalkeeper Gordon Banks from close range.
A give and go, or wall pass in association football is when a player passes the ball to a teammate, make a run past a defender, and that defender lays the ball back to him. This technique is effective to maneuver a defender and get a clear shot at goal, but is also difficult to do and requires precise timing or risk breaking down an attacking situation. The term wall pass comes from street football where a player would use a wall to hit the ball on and run around the defender and collect it again.
During his run past several England players in the previous round for the "Goal of the Century" he did not use his right foot once, despite spending the whole movement on the right-hand side of the pitch. In the 1990 World Cup second round tie against Brazil, he did use his right foot to set up the winning goal for Claudio Caniggia due to two Brazilian markers forcing him into a position that made use of his left foot less practical.Brian Glanville (2010). "The Story of the World Cup: The Essential Companion to South Africa 2010". p. 320.
The capture of New Orleans enabled Naval forces to move further north along the Mississippi to threaten the key Confederate city of Vicksburg. Several ships of the class were subsequently involved in the ensuing Vicksburg Campaign. For example, in June 1862, several vessels of the class were involved in the "run past Vicksburg" to link up with the naval forces of the upper Mississippi, although this action proved to be of little significance. In August, Cayuga, Katahdin, Kineo and Sciota were involved in the Battle of Baton Rouge, and Katahdin and Winona in the recapture of the city in December.
Access to the falls and its respective park is difficult. The falls and park are located on the opposite side of the river from Highway 5, forcing most visitors to settle for views of the falls from across the river. However, passengers on VIA Rail Canada trains (most notably The Canadian) are able to get a close-up view of the falls as the train track run past the falls. The approach to the falls is announced by a crew member when approached from both east and west and the train slows down to allow passengers a better view.
Two Gullfisk trams at Jar in 1942 The initial plans called for an expansion from Haslum to Kolsås. It was originally planned to run past Bærum Hospital to Løken Farm, but lack of funding instead forced the company to build the line along a cheaper section about one kilometer (half a mile) from the hospital. The free land for the extension was only valid for a limited time, and to be able to construct the line before the deadline, a single-track solution was chosen. The plans were passed by the municipal council in 1927 and concession granted on 10 February 1928.
Soldiers continue to shoot at her, but Eve manages to run past them; why she is unharmed is left unexplained. The book explains that her skin adapts (in a way similar to how her body adapts to the gas test earlier in the film), becoming bulletproof. Other details in the book that do not appear in the film include an earlier escape attempt by Eve and Patrick discovering new senses in a restaurant with his fiancé. In the novel, the debutante is a young, sexy, brown-eyed blonde, whereas in the film, she is an older woman who is a brunette.
It began when Jeff Burton made contact with Busch's rear bumper, causing him to wobble, and eventually spin out after contact from Montoya, while behind them, Truex got turned loose by Ragan. Matt Kenseth claimed the lead and led the field to the green flag on lap 175. One lap later, Hamlin got loose but saved his car, and teamed up with Ryan Newman to make a run past the leaders, allowing Newman to take the lead from Kenseth two laps later. On lap 180, the ninth caution flag was waved for a large crash on the back straightaway.
Palace manager, Steve Coppell made a game-changing substitution when he brought on Ian Wright, who had an immediate impact when he went on a mazy run past two Manchester United defenders and slotted a calm shot past Leighton. 2–2. Extra time loomed but not before Mike Phelan saw his clever chip hit the crossbar. Extra time was needed for the second final in a row, and it was Palace who scored first, when John Salako floated a cross to the back post. Leighton hesitated for a second, which allowed Wright to volley home for his second goal of the game.
This closed on 15 September 1958, but the building and parts of the platforms remain to this day. All through the station's existence it has experienced a peculiar anomaly in that reconstructing the collapsed viaduct also involved realigning the railway line a little way to the north. As a result, the tracks have always run past the "wrong side" of the station building, where the approach road was originally intended to be, with a new approach road hastily laid where the tracks were originally supposed to be. The old station house is owned by Burnage School For Boys in Manchester and is opened for visits frequently.
The population of the village peaked in the mid-1880s before the general recession initiated a downturn for the village. Wason had expected for the Methven Branch railway to run past Barrhill, but the line was built in 1880 on an alignment many miles away, which caused Barrhill population to decrease. Three of the original buildings of Barrhill plus the gatehouse at Wason's homestead were constructed of concrete, and they still exist to this day. One of those buildings, St John's Church, is registered by Heritage New Zealand as a Category II heritage building, and the gatehouse is a museum that is open on request.
Darren Fletcher scored two of United's goals. The match kicked off at around 13:30GMT in front of a crowd of 75,066 at United's Old Trafford stadium. United took the lead inside two minutes; a quick throw-in by Ryan Giggs gave Evra the space to run past Shaun Wright-Phillips and play the ball to Wayne Rooney, who sidestepped Touré and De Jong before sliding the ball past Shay Given. After a quarter of an hour, a long ball by City defender Joleon Lescott looked to be heading straight to Ben Foster, but Carlos Tevez managed to steal the ball away and set up Gareth Barry for the equaliser.
The group watches the tram reach the top of the hill when suddenly a frayed cable breaks, causing the tram to fall all the way back down, destroying the tram and killing everyone inside. After mourning the death of their friend, the group heads toward the cemetery, trying to reach the cathedral at the top of the hill through a previously mentioned hidden tunnel. The group comes upon a looting party on the street which turns out to be escaped prisoners from a nearby prison that was damaged during the earthquake. They try to run past, but the women of the group attracts their attention.
The Stierbergsteich lies in the South Harz on the boundary of the nature parks of Harz (Saxony-Anhalt) and South Harz (Thuringia) between Trautenstein to the north-northeast (Saxony-Anhalt), Rothesütte to the southwest and Sophienhof to the east-southeast (both in Thuringia). The pond is located between the Buchenköpfe () peaks and the Stierberg () to the east-northeast at an elevation of about . It is fed and drained by a small tributary of the Rappbode tributary, the Dammbach. The border between the kingdoms of Prussia and Hanover used to run past the pond along what is now the border between Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
In his summing up, the judge addressed the Court to the effect that the Crown case was that the driver of the lead locomotive had deliberately run past the distant signal at too great a pace and, expecting that the passage through the station would be clear, he found the home signal at danger and a train at the platform too late to stop clear. The judge concluded, however, that not one word of aspersion on a man's character had been suggested. The jury agreed with the judge's view and brought in a verdict of not guilty for both drivers of the Bendigo train.
He managed to catch the field and get a position outside the leader, but he did not have enough energy left in the home straight to run past All Tiger, and his unbeaten record ended at 17. The time of the race (0.8 seconds outside the track record) showed how good Auckland Reactor had to be to get as close to winning as he did. Auckland Reactor came back to winning form straight away in the inaugural Summer Cup at Addington on 31 January, and followed that up with a win in a minor free-for- all at Addington. He then contested the Auckland Cup, where he drew the outside barrier.
Nicholson began his career by serving in the colonial Navy with the British in the assault on Havana in 1762, and was commissioned Captain in the Continental Navy 10 October 1776. He commanded Defense, Trumbull, and Virginia, and when blockaded at Baltimore, Maryland, took his men to join George Washington at the Battle of Trenton to aid in that key victory. Made the senior captain in the Continental Navy due to political influence, he nevertheless had an undistinguished career, never winning a victory or capturing a prize. He lost his first command, the frigate Virginia, while trying to run past the British squadron blockading the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay.
Pelé with Brazil taking on Italy's Giovanni Trapattoni at the San Siro, Milan in 1963 When the 1962 World Cup started, Pelé was the best rated player in the world. In the first match of the 1962 World Cup in Chile, against Mexico, Pelé assisted the first goal and then scored the second one, after a run past four defenders, to go up 2–0. He injured himself in the next game while attempting a long-range shot against Czechoslovakia. This would keep him out of the rest of the tournament, and forced coach Aymoré Moreira to make his only lineup change of the tournament.
The defensive ends are sometimes able to run past the tackles and get to the quarterback before he can step up into the tackle box to protect himself better. Another maneuver that is used is the middle blitz where the defense sends multiple rushers up the middle of the line in order to get past the center and guards to collapse the tackle box and sack the quarterback. The offensive line cannot block up the middle when too many rushers are running at them. This rushes the quarterback and forces him to get rid of the ball before he is ready to do so.
The team was chasing a unique "treble" of League championship, FA Cup and European Cup with Gray in sparkling form. He had already scored what many Leeds fans call the greatest goal ever by a Leeds player – a solo run past several Burnley players which involved flicks and dragbacks as he somehow got to a shooting position from a position on the goal-line well to the left of the goal – when his day came at Wembley for the 1970 FA Cup Final against Chelsea. Gray's marking full back was David Webb, a steady but undistinguished defender whom, for the 90 minutes and extra-time period, Gray would duly torment.
The Anlene Orchard Mile is a sporting event exclusive to women held in Singapore where women either run or walk a mile (1.6 kilometres) on a straight course down Singapore's most famous and popular shopping street, Orchard Road. Just for the event, traffic authorities close off two lanes of one of Singapore's busiest streets for the duration of the race that is usually held in the morning from 7am onwards. The flag-off for the mile begins near the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station and ends near Orchard MRT station where participants run past famous landmarks such as the Istana, the President's place of residence.
Silverton Northern railcar The Silverton Northern Railroad, now defunct, was an American narrow gauge railroad constructed to reach the mining area north of Silverton, Colorado along the upper Animas River. This line, the third railroad project by Otto Mears, began in 1889 as a branch of the Silverton Railroad to Eureka. Incorporated in 1895 as the Silverton Northern Railroad, the line was projected to run past Eureka to Animas Forks and on to Mineral Point and then on to Lake City via Henson Creek, including a proposed three- quarter-mile tunnel through the mountains. However, Animas Forks was the end of the line, which was reached in 1896.
1955 map of the planned Interstates in the San Francisco Bay Area. I-480 would have run along the north side of the city, while I-280 would run south along the peninsula. I-80 was to have run past the east end of I-480 to end at I-280. Legislative Route 224 (LR 224) was defined in 1947 to connect U.S. Route 101 (US 101, pre-1964 Legislative Route 2) at the intersection of Lombard Street and Van Ness Avenue with US 40 and US 50 (pre-1964 Legislative Route 68) at the west end of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge (near the Transbay Terminal).
In the summer of 2012, Seddon signed for Conference North side F.C. Halifax Town, opting to turn part-time and focus on his modelling career instead of going full-time with Luton Town or Macclesfield Town. In a game against Bradford Park Avenue, Seddon scored in the club's 1–1 draw in the West Yorkshire derby, however he was also awarded a red card for an off the ball incident. In the First Round of the FA Trophy Seddon set a new record the fastest hat-trick in an FA Competition, recorded at 2 minutes and 37 seconds. The hat-trick included a fine solo run past the Altrincham defence.
The young man enters a dark room, changes into his robe, and sits on a bed looking at the vapors of the baths as other men, run past the room talking loud and behaving weirdly. Nearby, a clerk named Sam, talks with another employee about the large number of customers for this Friday night. As the young man sits in his room, a middle-aged man enters asking if he would like some company. The middle aged man tells the young man that this is his first time at the baths, and the young man brags about coming there three or four times a week.
They needed a replay to overcome Aldershot, before they beat Swansea Town, top-flight Leicester City, Carlisle United and Birmingham City. Their opponents in the Wembley final were West Bromwich Albion, who had won the cup the previous year. The "Baggies" took a two-goal lead before half-time, but Rangers fought back in the second half and on the 75th minute Marsh scored what he described as "the defining goal of my career" when he made a mazy run past numerous defenders before finding the net with a 25-yard shot that went in off the post. Lazarus scored QPR's third goal six minutes later to win the game 3–2.
She is forced to run past the sauntering men to avoid getting trampled. When the woman finally reaches the top of a building, symbolizing her climb up the corporate ladder, the male drones push her off and leave her to freefall to death; thankfully, she is caught by another, benevolent, giant woman and shown to a place where all the women walk together in solidarity towards the city. The ending of the video implies that the true key to success for women is to lift each other up. Some of the visuals featured in the video bear resemblance to those from the 2010 movie Inception, which stars the actor name-checked in the song, Leonardo DiCaprio.
The 2006/2007 season saw Hawkins disappointed following two strong seasons. He reached the final of the non-ranking Kilkenny Irish Masters, however his only run past the last 16 in a ranking event was at the China Open, when he reached the semi-finals, again beating Ding along the way. He had one foot in his first final against Jamie Cope in the semi final, but Cope was able to obtain the snookers he needed to stay in the match and went on to win 6–5. A first-round defeat by Fergal O'Brien at the World Championship cost him his Top 16 place, and left him outside the Top 32 on the single-year rankings.
The Eisbach, a left tributary of the Rhine, is impounded southwest of the village of Ramsen near its seven sources, to form a woog. A woog is the local German name given to natural or artificial lakes in this part of the world that used to act as storage reservoirs for watermills and hammer mills or as assembly points for the rafts of firewood or sawn timber. The Barbarossa Cycleway and Landesstraße 395 state road, which links Eisenberg in the east with Enkenbach-Alsenborn in the west, run past above the lake to the north. The L 395 goes to the city of Kaiserslautern to the southwest and the town of Grünstadt to the north, about 15 kilometres away.
The route then described a 180 degree arc so that by Harrington Junction it was heading south again. An easy run past the Glebe Sand Siding High Harrington Sandpit, via Harrington History to Rosehill Junction meant that the original Mr Curwen's waggonway 1 in 15 climb from Harrington Harbour had been replaced by a much gentler loop. There was a sting in the tail, as from Rose Hill Junction the line climbed southwards to Copperas Hill for at 1 in 17 easing to 1 in 26 for a further followed by at a relaxed 1 in 49. Most of the rest of the line along the clifftops was at gradients in double figures.
Damien Duff produced a moment of inspiration to fire Ireland into the lead after 36 minutes. The Chelsea forward embarked on a slaloming run past three Russian challenges before unleashing a 25-yard shot that deflected in off Victor Onopko. However seven minutes later the scores were level after Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given failed to collect a corner which allowed Sergei Ignashevich to steal in and divert the ball home from 10 yards. Russia's tactics effectively nullified Ireland - from whom Damien Duff proved the only credible attacking outlet - and the game finished level with Kerr's tactics drawing some criticism afterwards for lacking creativity and an over-reliance on Duff to provide the inspiration necessary for unlocking defenses.
The engineer, under this rule, was expected to see for himself whether the switch was right or not, and take no person's authority for the same at stations where trains stopped. The engineer, however, had a right to run past stations where he did not stop at a rate he was willing to hazard on his own account, the Company reserving the right to decide whether such running was reckless or not. " The road must be run safe first and fast afterward," the management declared. The engineers also protested against the alleged " posting rule " of the Company, under which notices of dismissal of engineers was at once posted with other railroad companies to the injury of the men.
River Lew close to is confluence with the River Torridge River Lyd The River Lew can refer to either of two short rivers that lie close to each other in Devon, England. The more northerly of the two rises just south of the village of Beaworthy, and flows east, then turns north to run past Hatherleigh before joining the River Torridge about 1 km north of the town. Its name is incorporated into that of the village of Northlew. The more southerly of the two rises on the northwest corner of Dartmoor, near Sourton, and flows west and somewhat south, through the Lew Valley past Lewtrenchard and south of Lewdown before joining the River Lyd near Marystow.
The single cover photograph, by Michael Spencer Jones and directed by Brian Cannon of Microdot, was taken in front of the 'Blind Steps', a staircase in Wigan so called because they run past the Blind Workshop, which can be seen to the left of the shot. The steps can still be found on Darlington Street. The shoot was shrouded in secrecy to protect mass media coverage, but newspaper The Wigan Evening Post got exclusive rights to cover the event and subsequently sold the photos to the Daily Mirror. At a lunchtime break, Liam Gallagher and sleeve designer Brian Cannon enjoyed a pint of beer in the nearby Crispin Arms pub by Birkett Bank.
The tank going was found to be good but some tanks ran out of fuel; the rest pressed on to the ridges, from which they could see the traffic jam on the road. Despite the fuel shortage, the 7th Hussars attacked the Italian column at points apart, to create maximum confusion. The first attackers caught the Italians stationary and then split north and south to run past the convoy in both directions, shooting at everything on the road. Little return fire was offered, because most of the Italian troops were rear-area personnel or civilians and many Italian drivers tried to escape by heading west off the road into the sand dunes and got bogged down.
Releasing the bug to the public elicited a response from Microsoft that they are working on the problem. On 9 March 2015, Google Project Zero's blog posted a guest post that disclosed how a previously known hardware flaw in commonly deployed DRAM called Row Hammer could be exploited to escalate privileges for local users. This post spawned a large quantity of follow-up research both in the academic and hardware community. On 19 February 2017, Google discovered a flaw within Cloudflare's reverse proxies, which caused their edge servers to run past the end of a buffer and return memory that contained private information such as HTTP cookies, authentication tokens, HTTP POST bodies, and other sensitive data.
Ibrahimović received little playing time under manager Co Adriaanse, but when Adriaanse was sacked on 29 November 2001, new coach Ronald Koeman inserted Ibrahimović into the starting lineup as Ajax won the 2001–02 Eredivisie title. The next season, Ibrahimović scored twice in a 2–1 victory over French champions Lyon in his Champions League debut on 17 September 2002. He scored five Champions League goals overall as Ajax fell to Milan in the quarter-finals. Ibrahimović's profile rose when he scored an individual goal against NAC Breda on 22 August 2004 – a slaloming run past five opposition players which the commentator compared with Diego Maradona and Zinedine Zidane – that was eventually voted the Goal of the Year by Eurosport viewers.
The story begins with Kirby carrying a cake, while King Dedede and Bandanna Waddle Dee chase him, as they run past Meta Knight, who is reading a book. Kirby and the gang suddenly see a starship fly out of a wormhole and crash, prompting them to investigate. They enter the ship and encounter an extraterrestrial named Magolor, a frantic creature who discovers that the five vital pieces of his ship, the Lor Starcutter, along with the 120 crucial Energy Spheres, have been scattered across the planet. With the Magalor offering them a trip to his homeworld of Halcandra should they help fix his ship, Kirby and his friends set off to recover the lost pieces of his ship across the five corners of the planet.
The No. 38 was locked into the field following Daytona, as Penske Racing's/Rusty Wallace Racing's No. 77 did not run past Daytona and in turn, gave up its locked-in spot to the No. 38. Bill Henderson joined FRM as crew chief of the No. 38 following a stint at Prism Motorsports in 2010, however parted ways with the team following the race at Las Vegas. Jay Guy joined as crew chief at California. Kvapil missed two races due to Truck Series obligations, and after the debut of the No. 55 car and the signing of J. J. Yeley, the two drivers split time in both the No. 38 and No. 55 cars for the duration of the season.
Ordnance Survey 1:1056 mapping, 1893-1895 accessed via National Library of Scotland (nls.ac.uk) On 20 November 1939, most stopping services were transferred to the Bakerloo line when it took over operations on the Stanmore branch; at this time the platform was rebuilt in the Underground's standard style, but the station building was retained. Stopping services were transferred to the Jubilee line on 1 May 1979. Metropolitan line services run past the station on their own tracks either side of the Jubilee Line having not served the station (a few trains in the early morning and late at night) since the connection between the Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines at Finchley Road was removed as part of the preparation for automatic operation of the Jubilee Line.
From there it stayed on the left bank the rest of its course along Pine Creek, passing through the Pine Creek Gorge to the Second Fork (Babb Creek at Blackwell) and on to the Third Fork (modern Marsh Creek) and the village of Ansonia. There it left the gorge and turned west, going past modern Galeton to West Pike, where it left the creek and headed north to the Genesee River. The exact course of the path between West Pike and the headwaters of the Genesee River are uncertain. In the south, an alternate branch (west of the main path) led north from the West Branch Susquehanna River along Chatham Run, past modern Woolrich to the main path near Waterville.
One of the Citaros laying over at Mercedes-Benz World Service 436 is operated in partnership with Mercedes-BenzMercedes-Benz World Take the bus page , accessed 11 September 2008 because it calls at the Mercedes-Benz World complex at Brooklands historic racing circuit near Byfleet, on its journey from Weybridge railway station to Woking railway station. In addition, the route is operated using specially branded Mercedes Benz single-decker buses, a fleet of three Citaros. Despite being 56 registered, the buses are only Euro III-engined and have the old style fronts. The route used to run past Woking on to Guildford, on an indirect route via Send village, and also did not serve Weybridge, terminating at a retail centre near the circuit.
On Wednesday, shortly after 7:05 pm, a Palestinian suicide bomber got out of a red Audi vehicle next to a bus station in Jerusalem's French Hill neighborhood. Because the bus stop had been targeted by assailants in the past, the bus stop was heavily guarded.Eyewitness: Jerusalem bus blast 19 June 2002, BBC Two Border Police patrolmen, who were securing the site, chased the suspect to try to stop him, but the suicide bomber managed to run past themחדשות 2 - כותרות העבר: פיגוע התאבדות בי-ם straight into the middle of a crowd of people waiting for the bus in one of the busiest bus stops in Israel. In the final days of preparation for his ships to run past the forts, Farragut organized his fleet, dividing it into three sections. (This would not be at all exceptional in the Royal Navy, where the division of the fleet into the van, main fleet, and the rear was in fact the usual practice, but the United States Navy had not used full fleets before the Civil War.) Command of the first division of gunboats was given to Captain Theodorus Bailey, who was also appointed second in overall command, to take over if Farragut himself were to become incapacitated. Command of the second division of gunboats was given to Captain Henry H. Bell. Farragut retained divisional command of the ships for himself.
Auchenharvie Castle in 1820 A local legend is that in the days of the 'body snatchers' or 'resurrectionists'; before the Anatomy Act of 1832, bodies obtained locally were hidden in the ruins of the nearby Auchenharvie Castle before being taken up to Glasgow at night to sell to the surgeons and medical students at the old university. Another version of the story states that the bodies were collected together from neighbouring parishes at Darnshaw, a remote house near Bloak Moss on the old Auchenharvie to Megswell toll road route.Strawhorn, Page 113.Love, Page 148 The old toll road did run past the site and a toll gate and house stood fairly close by which must cast some doubt on the castle being involved.
A crane spans roads 3 and 4 to allow for wheelset changes on locomotives and wagons. As the site is north of Stourton Freightliner terminal, locomotives in need of repair (or electric locomotives) are often hauled dead-in-train (DiT) to Stourton and transferred to Midland Road for servicing or repair. It is not uncommon for locomotives from Crewe being hauled DiT from Crewe to Southampton (intermodal terminal) and then being hauled DiT from Southampton to Leeds Stourton intermodal terminal to avoid needing a separate path direct between Crewe and Leeds Locomotives on routine maintenance find their way to Midland Road by hauling scheduled services. Besides the container trains passing through Stourton to the south, many Heavy Haul trains run past the depot too, which makes switching locomotives easy and cost-effective.
Children run past, including the girl from Test Card F who symbolizes the death that has been stalking Sam since the beginning. She looks directly into the camera before reaching out and "switching off" the television the viewer is watching, signifying that Sam's life has come to an end. The first episode of sequel series Ashes to Ashes shows that the protagonist, DI Alex Drake of the Metropolitan Police, has been studying Tyler's notes and 2006-era personnel file, in which his photograph is overstamped with the word "SUICIDE" - consistent with what happened in the series finale. Ashes to Ashes implies that Gene Hunt's world is in some sense real, and states that Sam lived on in that world, during which time he married Annie but had no children.
Combo guards use their ball-handling skills to bring the ball up the court and set up teammates, while also having the ability to shoot well. The best combo guards use their "in-between" height and athleticism to their own advantage: smaller point guards will use speed and agility to run past bigger players, while bigger shooting guards will shoot over the top of smaller players with their jump shots. Historically, combo guards have been viewed as difficult for coaches to fit into an offensive system; however, combo guards have more recently become an important part of basketball, especially in the NBA. Dwyane Wade, a shooting guard with point-guard-like ball handling, led the Miami Heat to their first-ever NBA Championship in 2006, and won the Finals MVP award for the same championship series.
Sliding helps a runner stop his forward momentum through the friction created between the body and the ground, thus reducing the likelihood that he will run past the base after touching it. This is important because in most cases a runner is in jeopardy of being tagged out if he loses contact with the base (the most common exception is that a batter- runner may overrun first base when initially reaching that base as long as he immediately returns to first base without attempting to advance to second base). Because the runner must balance the need to reach a base as quickly as possible with the need to avoid overrunning the base, sliding provides a rapid means for the runner to decelerate, allowing the baserunner to run at top speed as long as possible before needing to slow down.
William of Tyre reported: The historian David Nicolle wrote that William of Tyre did not explain how Conrad was able to bring his forces up from the rear to the front without totally disorganizing the Christian army. Thanks to a charge by Conrad, the crusaders managed to fight their way through and chase the defenders back across the Barada river and into Damascus, in which fortifications were installed to cut off any possible supplies to Damascus from the Beqaa Valley. In the meantime, according to Syrian chronicler Abu Shama: Having arrived outside the walls of the city, the crusaders immediately put it to siege, using wood from the orchards. They attacked the suburbs of Faradis at first, they also began to build their siege position opposite Bab al-Jabiya, where the Barada did not run past Damascus.
The blockade of Confederate ports on the Gulf of Mexico was less important than that on the Atlantic. Not only were they farther from the centers of blockade-running activity in Bermuda and Nassau,Most of the trade of ports on the Gulf was with Havana; see Wise, Lifeline of the Confederacy, pp. 262–275. but ships trying to reach them from the Atlantic Ocean would have to run past the Florida Keys, which remained in Federal control throughout the war and served as the base for the Gulf (later, East Gulf) Blockading Squadron. The same decision by the Confederate War Department that led to the abandonment of most of the Atlantic coast except for the major ports applied to the Gulf as well, with the result that only Mobile, New Orleans, and Galveston were defended.
Writer Jeanette Winterson reviewed the novel for The New York Times, praising the novel for its experimental style whilst also distancing it from that of another well- known Irish author: > The reader’s mind runs alongside hers, and our sentences can, if we want > them to, run past hers. In that sense, she really isn’t a control freak, > unlike James Joyce, whose prose is a be-saved or be-damned baptism by total > immersion. McBride isn’t an old-fashioned despot writer. The take-it-or- > leave-it arrogance is absent. The confidence and the capacity are as good as > anyone’s, male or female, but (and I’m not going to attribute it to gender, > though it’s something that might be discussed sometime) there’s an openness, > an inclusivity, a distinct lack of God-almightyness, that makes reading her > such a pleasure.
Hazel had ordered this response as, if the department was intending to add the question, he could begin determining a schedule in coordination with Judge Furman in the New York court for further proceedings and discovery in both the New York and Maryland lawsuits. On July 7, the DOJ announced its intention to replace its entire legal team on the case, but Furman allowed the DOJ to dismiss only two of its eleven attorneys, writing in the July 9 rejection that the DOJ had "provide[d] no reasons, let alone 'satisfactory reasons,' for the substitution of counsel". Furman pointed out that the case had already run past the DOJ's own previously requested deadline of July 1 and that replacing counsel would cause further delays. Separate from the events in the courts, Trump has stated he also considered using an executive order to place the citizenship question on the census.
When route G9 began service, Mount Rainier residents were excited about the new service. However, WMATA made route G9 terminate three blocks away from the Mount Rainier terminal and instead have the route run past the DC border line, and turn around along the Mount Rainier roundabout without picking up any passengers which stunned many residents. Riders would had to walk to Mount Rainier terminal to transfer onto other buses and drivers are too far from the bathrooms at Mount Rainier City Hall to use them and G9 passengers don't get the large shelter roofs and benches of the Mount Rainier terminal instead the terminal bus stop is just a sign at the curb in front of a used-car lot instead. According to both WMATA spokeswoman Sherri Ly and the DC Department of Transportation, spaces at Mount Rainier terminal were limited which were occupied by routes 83, 86, B2, F1, F2, T14, T18, and TheBus Route 17.
Initially assigned to the North Atlantic Squadron, Monongahela sailed instead to reinforce Rear Admiral David G. Farragut's West Gulf Blockading Squadron off Mobile, Alabama, remaining on duty off that port until ordered to attempt to run past Confederate batteries on the Mississippi River at Port Hudson, Louisiana on the night of March 14–15, 1863. As Army forces ashore conducted a mortar bombardment, the squadron got underway about 22:00, heavier ships , , and Monongahela screening the smaller , , and from the forts, with steam frigate bringing up the rear. In the course of the ensuing furious engagement, only Hartford and Albatross succeeded in passing upriver, Richmond losing her steam power early in the battle and drifting downstream out of range with Genesee lashed alongside. Monongahela grounded under the guns of a heavy battery, taking a pounding and losing six men killed and 21 wounded, including the captain, until she worked loose with Kineos aid.
After passing by Hakone-Yumoto Station, the runners run past (or in earlier editions, run through) the Kanreidoumon Gallery to begin their climbs, and pass by various Hakone sights such as the Fujiya Hotel, Hakone Kowakien, a railroad crossing for the Hakone Tozan Line, and Hakone Keimei Gakuen before reaching the highest point of National Route 1 at 16.2 km. Finally, the runners run through the town of Moto-Hakone under the Torii of Hakone Shrine at 19 km, and reach the finish line at Lake Ashi. Colloquially called , leg 5 is considered to be one of the most grueling sections of the race that sees runners climb up to 874 m at the highest point of leg. While almost all competitors forego tank tops and opt to dress in long sleeved apparel to combat the low temperatures, leg 5 sometimes sees runners fall to conditions such as hypothermia and hypoglycemia due to its trying nature.
The Leech River Fault across the southern tip of Vancouver Island and the Tofino, West Coast, Hurricane Ridge (portion), San Juan, Survey Mountain, Devils Mountain, and Southern Whidbey Island faults, and the projected extension of the Leech River Fault through Discovery Bay; all dip to the northeast. Stippled area is top of the Pacific Rim Terrane. Also shown: Cape Flattery, San Juan Island, and the cities of Port Renfrew, Sooke, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, and Victoria. The northeast extension of the San Juan fault may be an older feature.. Newer studies show the Leech River fault more closely aligned with the SWIF.. The Leech River Fault extends across the southern tip of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, creating the distinctively straight, narrow, and steep-sided valley, occupied by Loss Creek and two reservoirs, that runs from Sombrio Point (southeast of Port Renfrew) due east to the Leech River, and then turns southeast to run past Victoria.
Because the United States Forest Service has not made the Mark O. Hatfield Memorial Trail an official trail yet, and because some proponents of the trail would rather see it run past some remote landmarks such as Mt. Talapus, Eagle Butte, and Table Mountain, the exact course of the trail is still undetermined. All of these landmarks lie within the Bull Run Watershed, which is closed to the public under Public Law 95-200 (PL 95-200 or Bull Run Act). An alternate route, which avoids the Bull Run Watershed boundary, is currently used by hikers, although they do not have the opportunity to see some of the aforementioned places deep in the Columbia River Gorge when hiking this route. Some hiking is legal in the Bull Run Watershed Management Unit, "including 8.3 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, 1.3 miles of the Huckleberry Trail, and 1.4 miles of the Oneonta Creek Trail," according to Oregon Health Authority's report on drinking water from 2011.
" Pollock noted that the fans in attendance started chanting "Fire Russo" during the Black Tie Brawl and Chain match in his review, which was a reference to TNA writer Vince Russo. Wade Keller of the Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter rated the matches out of five stars in his review of the event. He gave the main event 2 3/4 stars and discussed the amount of time it was given, stating it was "just enough time for a suitable main event" but that it did not "leave much flex time for things to run past the bare minimum for a PPV main event title match in a cage much less do whatever they're going to do with Sting and Nash." Keller also disapproved of unprotected use of weapons in the bout, commenting that TNA management needed to start fining "wrestlers for taking unprotected chairshots to the skull" because it was "just not worth the long-term cumulative risks associated with blunt trauma to the skull over years of wrestling.
A run in the league followed, bringing seven goals, including one involving a 60-yard run past a number of Burnley players. The teenager was soon hailed as a possible late call-up for Alf Ramsey's 1966 World Cup squad, having been included in the original 40-man squad announced in April 1966, but he was not included in the final 22. A broken leg suffered in a challenge by Blackpool's Emlyn Hughes in the League Cup on 5 October 1966 seriously curtailed his progress, and he missed Chelsea's first-ever Wembley FA Cup final on 20 May 1967. Chelsea lost to Tottenham Hotspur 1–2. This was a major disappointment for Osgood, but after he returned from the injury his abilities were recognised by new manager Dave Sexton playing him often as a midfielder, notably wearing the number 4 shirt for most of the 1968– 69 season (reference page 70 'Ossie – King of Stamford Bridge' written with Martin Knight and Martin King ), but it is as a goalscoring centre-forward, number 9, that he is best remembered.
The major networks still maintain a prime-time programming schedule on Saturdays, with a mix of live sporting events (most commonly college football in the United States and ice hockey in Canada), encores of programs aired earlier in the week, films, non-scripted reality programs, true crime programs produced by their news divisions and, occasionally, burning off episodes of low-rated or cancelled series. Prime time can be extended or truncated if coverage of sporting events run past their allotted end time. Since the "Heidi Game" incident in 1968, in which NBC cut away from coverage of a New York Jets/history of the Oakland Raiders football game on the east coast in order to show a movie (and, in the process, causing viewers to miss an unexpected comeback by the Raiders to win the game), the present-day National Football League mandated that all games be broadcast in their entirety in the markets of the teams involved. Due to this rule, game telecasts may sometimes overrun into the 7:00 p.m.
Young athletes run past the Tyne and Wear stand at Gateshead International StadiumThe success of the first Gateshead Games, and their subsequent annual renewal, raised the profile of the stadium and caused Gateshead Council to further their financial investment. During the 1980s, additions were made to the site infrastructure, including the building of an indoor sports hall, outdoor football pitches and a gymnasium. In 1989 the running track was again relayed and Gateshead confirmed its reputation as a top-class athletics venue by hosting the Europa Cup (forerunner to the European Team Championships). In the 21st century, the site has been the subject of two major re-development projects. The first was completed in 2006, when two artificial outdoor football pitches, indoor athletic training facilities, sports science provisions and conferencing rooms were added at a cost of £15 million. The revamped stadium, funded by collaboration between One NorthEast, Sport England and Gateshead College among others, was opened on 12 May 2006 by Sebastian Coe. A second tranche of development, undertaken in two stages, was approved in November 2009.
The home side continued to assert their attacking dominance, and they quickly added a third when Lallana took the ball on a long solo run past a number of Hull City defenders before striking low for 3–0. With their three-goal advantage, Southampton continued to play well in all areas of the field, although some sloppy play early after the break gave the visitors a few sights at goal for the first time in the game, one of which Hull took advantage after 55 minutes when Yannick Sagbo scored from a Victor Wanyama mistake. A few minutes later though, José Fonte almost scored a volley from a corner, and Luke Shaw almost connected with a Rickie Lambert cross, before Lallana had an opportunity for his second denied by Hull goalkeeper Steve Harper. With Steven Davis and Dani Osvaldo coming on later in the game, Southampton's attacking dominance continued to culminate in a fourth goal for the home side in the 88th minute when Davis turned in a cross from Clyne to seal the victory.
Haldsrud: 197 During the last years of the 1980s the barres and payment stalls were removed and replaced with a proof-of-payment system. This unmanning of the station allowed for a significant cut in operating costs.Haldsrud: 153 On 4 April 1993 the Sognsvann Line was converted to a metro line and it was linked with the Lambertseter Line and Line 4. With the delivery of T2000 trains, the Holmenkollen Line and Line 1 was also routed to the Lambertseter Line, although outside of rush hour Line 1 did not run past Helsfyr.Haldsrud: 189 T1300 trains meeting near Brynsenteret in 2006 This was changed from 12 April 2003, when Line 4 was linked with the Kolsås Line, and Line 1 no longer ran along the Lambertseter Line. Services on Line 1 resumed on 8 August 2005.Haldsrud: 190 From 20 August 2006 this was changed and Line 4 connected instead with the Ring Line. From March to 6 December 2010 the Holmenkollen Line was closed for upgrades and Line 1 was terminated.
The trenched portion of the Greenbush Line through Hingham East Braintree/Weymouth Landing station during ceremonies on October 30, 2007 During the early 1980s, officials from the South Shore area began speaking in support of the restoration of passenger rail service in the area; in 1985, then-Governor Michael Dukakis voiced support for the proposals. In 1990, as part of environmental mitigation for the Big Dig project, both the Greenbush and Old Colony Lines were submitted to the federal government in order to receive funding for the Big Dig. Both Old Colony lines were granted federal funds, but due to local opposition the state did not receive funds for the construction of the Greenbush Line. The Old Colony Lines were prioritized and opened in September 1997. The Old Colony Lines saw continuous freight usage between 1959 and their restoration, but the freight traffic on the Greenbush Line had not run past Nantasket Junction since 1963 (except for some freight traffic to the Hingham Naval Ammunition Depot Annex between 1967 and 1972) and West Hingham since 1979. In 1983, all freight traffic on the line except to the Fore River Railroad ceased.
Anonymous, "Georgetown rides 14-1 second-half run past Alabama," Associated Press, December 6, 2007. Over the same stretch, Jonathan Wallace had 15 points against William & Mary, 13 points against Fairfield, and 11 points against Alabama, while Jessie Sapp scored 18 points against William & Mary and 12 points each against Michigan and Alabama. DaJuan Summers had 10 points against William & Mary, 16 points against Fairfield, 18 points against Alabama, and 14 against Jacksonville. Freshman guards Chris Wright and Austin Freeman also showed their potential as their college careers began: Wright scored 10 points against Michigan and 14 against Jacksonville, while Freeman had 10 points against Michigan, 11 points at Old Dominion, 15 against Jacksonville, and 21 points in a very physical 110-51 blow-out of Radford in which Georgetown shot 65 percent from the field for the game and 71 percent in the second half, scoring 100 or more points for the first time since John Thompson III became head coach in 2004.Anonymous, "Ewing Jr., Crawford get techs after Radford's hard fouls in first half of blowout win," Associated Press, December 16, 2007.
After two semi-finals in the 1991/92 season (his second as a professional), Doherty reached the final of the 1992 Grand Prix, narrowly losing 10–9 to Jimmy White. In the same event a year later, he lost 6–9 to Peter Ebdon. His first ranking title was the 1993 Welsh Open, enough to take him into the top 16 in the world, where he remained until the 2007/08 season. In the 1994 World Championship he reached the quarter-finals, his only run past the second round before 1997. Doherty became only the third player from outside the United Kingdom (after Australian Horace Lindrum in 1952 and Canadian Cliff Thorburn in 1980) to win the World Championship when he beat Stephen Hendry 18–12 in the 1997 final. Ken also reached the World Championship final in 1998 (losing to John Higgins) and in 2003, losing narrowly to Mark Williams. The latter run was noted for some outstanding comebacks, including final-frame wins over Graeme Dott and Shaun Murphy, a 13–8 win over John Higgins in a match where Doherty raced ahead 10–0 but Higgins fought back to 10–7, and a semi-final fightback from 9–15 to beat Paul Hunter 17–16. In that championship he played more frames than anyone before or since. In the final, Williams led 11–4 but Doherty fought back to 12–12 and 16–16.
