After Bus Stop disbanded, Chuck joined Eddie Walker to back up Britt Uzzells in a band called Snuzz. Uzzell later played guitar with Ben Folds on the Rockin' the Suburbs tour, and played in International Orange with Ben's former bass player Robert Sledge (incidentally, Chuck and Robert were friends and that is how Robert got the gig in Ben Folds Five). During the same time period he started his own cover band called Rubberband which primarily plays for private events and has become a popular U.S. east coast party band . Chuck's most recent project is called Chuck Folds Five, which is a comic reference to his older brother's former band.

Pitchforks Harley Brown found that the album's "slow jams are perfectly sexy, but they lack originality", while remarking, "It's great the band was able to find a throughline between the comfortable and the experimental this time around, but on Nabuma Rubberband they let go of a little too much of themselves in the process." Uncuts Sam Richards commented that "the likes of 'Mirror' and 'Paris' are melodically and emotionally direct but with plenty going on beneath the surface, while the restrained tempos serve to show off Nagano's nicely maturing voice.

Also in 1987, Davis contacted American journalist Quincy Troupe to work with him on his autobiography. The two had met the previous year when Troupe conducted a 2 day long interview.
By the early 1970s Rock evolved and became a local dance performed mostly by adolescent men throughout the New York City. Some say it originated in Brooklyn in the late 1960s, while many others say it was developed in the Bronx. However, it is now more widely accepted that the Dance Culture itself spread throughout New York City into all Boroughs because the best dancers danced mostly at Manhattan Clubs, where everyone took notice of the different styles and incorporated some of the moves into their own style of dancing. It was common to see this form of dance at block parties, teen dances and festive gatherings, and in particular at St. Mary's Recreation Center in the South Bronx, where dancers from all over the city would come and dance every Tuesday and Thursday until October 1, 1974 when Rubberband one of the most popular Rock dancers in the City from back in those days got stabbed to Death by a 14-year-old youth, after an argument over a Dollar.
