Kleihauer test, showing foetal red blood cells in rose-pink color, while adult red blood cells are only seen as "ghosts". The Kleihauer–Betke test is a blood test used to measure the amount of foetal hemoglobin transferred from a foetus to its mother's bloodstream. It takes advantage of the differential resistance of foetal hemoglobin to acid. A standard blood smear is prepared from the mother's blood, and exposed to an acid bath.
Gladiolus triphyllus, the three-leaved gladiolus, is an erect perennial herb, 15–30 cm high, glabrous, glaucous, with an ovoid corm. A pink peppercorn (French: baie rose, "pink berry") is a dried berry of the shrub Schinus molle, commonly known as the Peruvian peppertree. Although not related to commercial pepper (Piper nigrum) the pink/red berries are sold as pink peppercorns and often blended with commercial pepper. Pink peppercorns came to be called such because they resemble peppercorns, and because they, too, have a peppery flavour. As they are members of the cashew family, they may cause allergic reactions including anaphylaxis for persons with a tree nut allergy.
Native trees. and can range from fluorescent pink to dark red, rose pink (most common) or sometimes even to a white flower with a yellow or pink blush. The bright colour, the tube shape, copious nectar production and the hairs at the base of the flower tube all point towards birds pollinating this flower (the hairs stop insects from stealing the nectar). On the New Zealand mainland there is often plenty of nectar in the flowers because there aren't enough birds to eat all the nectar produced by the tree.
The badge of the order consists of a portrait of the Sovereign set in diamonds, which is suspended from a ribbon. The ribbon of each Royal Family Order changes with each monarch: Edward VII's was variegated of red, blue, and white (similar to the colors of the Royal Victorian Order), George V's was pale blue, and George VI's was rose pink. Each contained a portrait of the sovereign, usually in uniform (if male), or evening dress (if female). The reverse of the order contains the royal cypher of the sovereign.
Sarracenia rosea was first identified by the American botanist Edgar T. Wherry as a "mutant" form of S. purpurea in 1933 based on specimens collected by Frank Morton Jones in 1910 near Theodore, Alabama and Wherry's own collections in 1932, likely also from southern Alabama. These plants differed from S. purpurea in the rose-pink petals and nearly white style (S. purpurea has deep maroon petals and the style is typically green). Wherry sent specimens to Louis Burk, a Philadelphia horticulturalist, who confirmed Wherry's field observations in greenhouse-grown plants.

The forerunner of the modern-day shirt, the chemise was tucked into a man's braies, under his outer clothing. Women wore a chemise underneath their gowns or robes, sometimes with petticoats over the chemise.
The costal area is orange at the base, shading to yellowish grey at the apex. An orange fascia runs through the lower half of the cell, extending to the apex, diffused beyond the cell and there is a dark space on the terminal area below the apex. The termen is narrowly dark cream-colour from near the tornus to vein 5 and the inner margin is suffused with orange. The hindwings are fuscous, with the base rose pink and the inner half of the wing, the costa and inner margin orange.
It is widely used for food flavouring and medicinal purposes, in addition to featuring as an ornamental plant in gardens. This small, lanate shrub is easily recognised by the distinctive soft, woolly covering of white-grey hair on its stems and round green leaves, giving it a velvety texture. Tiny rose-pink flowers surrounded by brighter purple-pink bracts add an exuberant splash of colour to the plant in summer and autumn. The dittany is classified as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Plant Species 1997.
The inflorescence consists of a single flower at the top of the stem, which is between 7 and 12 cm in diameter. It is subtended by one or two unequal leaflet-like bracts. It has three (occasionally two or four) green, unequal sepals of 1½—3 × 1½—2 cm, mostly rounded. The four to seven inverted egg- shaped petals of 3—5½ × 1¾—2¾ cm may spread out or remain more curved in, and vary in color between white, rose, pink-red, carmine, purple-red, or sometimes white with a pinkish base or margin.

It had a curved aluminum shell and glass screen (the glass screen being held in place with nothing but the shell). Apple claimed the battery would last 24 hours of music playback, and only 4 hours of video playback, compared to the 5 hours of the previous generation. The six previous colors (silver, black, mint, turquoise, berry red, and rose pink) were replaced by silver, black, purple, light blue, green, yellow, orange, red, and pink, for a total of nine, although the Product Red color was only available directly from Apple (website and retail stores). Apple marketed the new colors as "Nano- chromatic".
The forewings are deep brown, the base suffused whitish and with an oblique white fascia at one- fourth, rosy tinged towards the dorsum, edged anteriorly by a few black scales. There is an angulated rosy-white median fascia sprinkled grey, and the plical and first discal stigmata form black dots on its anterior edge. There are white opposite spots more or less suffused rose pink on the costa at three-fourths and the tornus, separated by a short black dash in the disc. Between this and the apex there are three white marks on the costa separated with black.
The forewings are pale greyish, suffusedly irrorated (sprinkled) with dark fuscous, irregularly tinged and spotted with light rose pink. There is a very oblique suffused blackish streak across the fold about one-fifth, and an oblique blackish streak from the costa to the plical stigma, the space between these and towards the dorsum anteriorly sometimes suffused with pale ochreous. The stigmata are black, rather elongate, the plical obliquely before the first discal. Two or three small pale marks are found on the costa towards the apex and there is a more or less developed longitudinal blackish streak from the second discal stigma.
Capricons are the Deltora Quest equivalent of Fauns or Satyrs, having the upper body of a human and the lower body of a goat. Only one appears in the first book of the third series: Dragon's Nest. In 2011, she started taking on solo activities in parallel with the Supaga's activities, releasing exclusive modeling and solo photo collections for Pichi Lemon, performing in TV dramas, lending her voice as an anime voice actor, and filming commercials. In 25 June 2016, Maeshima succeeded group member Rika Shimura as the third group leader of Supaga.
The Gedächtniskirche (Imperial Memorial Church) appears in an empty grey-blue, the Reichstag (Parliament) – shot from a railway territory – freezes in a pale midnight-blue, empty railway sidings in the front – itself becoming an empty siding. The Russian Church appears in all shades of blue, radiating in turquoise and rose (pink). This is the scenario of the colors. Much more important is the whole film as a >picture- puzzle<, showing a threefold face of Berlin: the old imperial and fascist Berlin, the old "Reichshauptstadt", then the newly constructed Berlin, built into cool sand, around the Breitscheidplatz, the New Memorial Church.
The stigmata are dark fuscous, the plical obliquely beyond the first discal. There is some dark fuscous irroration between the first discal and middle of the costa and there is an undefined fascia of light grey suffusion and dark fuscous irroration running from two- thirds of the costa to the middle of the dorsum. There is a small cloudy dark fuscous spot on the costa at three-fourths, where a curved series of dark fuscous dots runs to the dorsum before the tornus, sinuate inwards beneath the costa. The hindwings are rose pink, with the dorsal two-fifths ochreous whitish suffused with grey.
In 1973, a strain of rose-pink thermophilic bacteria was isolated from Toadstool Spring in Yellowstone National Park, which was later named Thermomicrobium roseum and proposed as a novel species of the novel genus Thermomicrobium. At that time the genus was categorized under family Achromobacteraceae, but it became a distinct phylum by 2001. In 2004 , it was proposed, on the basis of an analysis of genetic affiliations, that the Thermomicrobia should more properly be reclassified as a class belonging to the phylum Chloroflexi. The bacteria Sphaerobacter thermophilus originally described as an Actinobacteria is now considered a Thermomicrobia.
Variety subreticulatus, like variety boralis, has a generally darker coloration than the two-colored bolete, but varies much more than either. When fresh the coloration of the cap varies from a rose red, red, rose pink, dark red, and purple red. With age it changes to a cinnamon red or a rusty rose color, with yellowing toward the margin. The pore surface is similar to that of the main species-yellow when fresh and with age changing to a dull ochre yellow; the bruising coloration is blue but is much lighter and sometimes not appearing to stain when bruised at all.
This species began to be cultivated shortly after this discovery, its profuse and attractive flowering arrangement gaining the attention of nurserymen in England. The species is cultivated as an ornamental shrub, small in size, and usually presenting rose pink flowers that are profuse and perfumed. These appear during November, continuing until April in the garden, opening together and nearly covering the leaves and branches. It is usually propagated from cuttings and grows well in sandy, gravelly or loamy soils and the woolly heads of honey-scented flowers sometimes appear during the plant's first year of growth.
The wingspan is about 16 mm. The forewings are whitish, somewhat suffused with pale greyish, and marked with numerous small cloudy dark grey spots, posteriorly coalescing to form an oblique fascia from the middle of the costa to the anal angle, narrow on the upper half, dilated posteriorly on the lower half into a large blotch extending almost to the hind margin, and connected by a bar with the costa before the apex. The costal edge is narrowly light rose-pink and there is a dark grey hindmarginal line. The hindwings are grey, lighter towards the base.
Hindwing: as in C. fausta, but the terminal black spots very large. Underside: ground colour of a richer yellower tint than in the typical form; markings similar, those on the forewing dusky black, on the hindwing rose pink. Antennae, head, thorax, abdomen and sex-mark as in male of the typical form. Female upperside closely resembles the female of form 2 of C. fausta, but all the markings are darker and conspicuously broader, while the number of the preapical spots of the ground colour enclosed within the black area on the forewing is never more than three, the same as in the male.
The Union Pacific West Line (UP-W) is a Metra commuter rail line operated by Union Pacific Railroad in Chicago, Illinois and its western suburbs. Metra does not refer to its lines by particular colors, but the timetable accents for the Union Pacific/West line are "Kate Shelley Rose" pink, honoring an Iowa woman who saved a Chicago & North Western Railway train from disaster in 1881. Yellow and green were already selected for the Union Pacific North and Northwest lines respectively, so pink was chosen for this line. In April 2013 the public timetable shows 30 trains leaving Chicago each weekday, of which 22 run to Elburn.

The current structure appears in a photograph dated 1885. João Sousa Morais and Joana Bastos Malheiro, researchers on the architectural history of São Tomé e Príncipe, propose that the structure was built in the intervening period. The building was known from its construction as the Palácio do Governo de São Tomé (Palace of the Governor of São Tomé), or more simply as the Palácio do Governo and was one of the few buildings in the colony in workable condition at the end of the 18th century. It was built as a mansion in a simple classical style typical of the Portuguese overseas territories, with two stories and a rose-pink façade.

Like the ribbons used for other classes of the Order of the British Empire, the ribbon of the British Empire Medal is rose-pink with pearl-grey edges, with the addition of a pearl-grey central stripe for the military division. While recipients are not technically counted as members of the Order, these medals are nevertheless affiliated with it. The 1946 New Year Honours were appointments by many of the Commonwealth Realms of King George VI to reward and highlight good works by citizens of those countries, and to celebrate the passing of 1945 and the beginning of 1946. Recommendations for appointments to the Order of the British Empire were made on the nomination of the United Kingdom, the self- governing Dominions of the Empire (later Commonwealth) and the Viceroy of India.

The list has been updated a number of times and has included demands for anti- discrimination laws, inclusion of gay relationships in high school sex education and the right to adoption by same-sex parents. In the 2007 march, some participants were seen with a banner "Thank you Verhofstadt!", in reference to the fact that same-sex marriage in Belgium and other LGBT reforms were realised by the first two governments of Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt (Open VLD), which respectively consisted of liberals, socialists and greens, and of liberals and socialists. Prior to 1998, the marches were held under the name Roze Zaterdag – Samedi Rose ("Pink Saturday"). The name was adopted for the first ever Belgian demonstration march for gay rights in 1979, taken from the same-named series of Dutch marches which were first held in 1977.
Described as beautiful with blonde hair, blue eyes, rose-pink complexion and possessed of a "vivacious wit", she was immortalised in verse by the poet Pierre de Ronsard. He wrote that he "would like to give her as many kisses as there were leaves on the trees of the forest" Her outstanding good looks caught the attention of the Queen Mother who invited her to join her elite "flying squadron" (L'escadron volant), a group of attractive and talented female spies who were recruited to seduce powerful men at Court thereby extracting information which would then be passed on to Catherine and used as political leverage by the latter. Catherine was keenly aware of the power and influence women were able to wield over men - knowledge she had acquired from observing her late husband, King Henry II fall completely under the sway of his cultured mistress Diane de Poitiers.Strage, Mark (1976).
On the peripheral carina, and hence above the sutures, they are replaced by two or three creamy spots, while two or three less marked white spots occupy the intervals, and thus pick out the tubercles of the carina. Every whorl is encircled by four articulated colour bands, which in the white areas are of a more opaque white than the rest of these areas, and extend slightly beyond them, and are crossed by narrow vertical or oblique red lines, while in the purple areas they are of a deeper purple tint, and are crossed by narrow axial white lines. The base is of a lighter tint, the outer 6 cinguli of a rose pink, minutely dotted with creamy white. The columella and umbilicus are white, bordered outside with green, which tints the inner two basal cinguli, and curls around the columella into the throat.
In the comedic work The Code of the Zombie Pirate: How to Become an Undead Master of the High Seas, satirist Scott Kenemore discusses how Cofresí and other notorious pirates decided to baptize their ships with names that do not sound threatening, in direct contrast to their reputation. El Mosquito is mentioned among several other examples, including Bartholomew Roberts' Little Ranger and several of Edward Low's vessels such as Fancy, Rose Pink and Merry Christmas. In line with the comedic tone of the book, the author questions if this ironic naming was a display of machismo or if it was done intentionally, so that sailors would avoid facing them just to prevent the ridicule of reporting their loss to a ship with an inoffensive name. In Piracy, Globalization and Marginal Identities: Navigating Gender and Nationality in Contemporary Hispanic Fiction, Alana B. Reid notes how the narratives based on Cofresí differ from the mainstream format seen in other Spanish work.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape traditionally has had thirteen grape varieties, but the 2009 version of the AOC rules changed that list to eighteen varieties, since blanc (white), rose (pink) and noir (black) versions of some grapes are now explicitly listed as separate varieties.Décret n° 2009-1275 du 20 octobre 2009 relatif aux appellations d'origine contrôlées «Saint-Pourçain», «Bugey», «Roussette du Bugey», «Morey- Saint-Denis», «Tavel» et «Châteauneuf-du-Pape», Version consolidée au 24 octobre 2009 Also in the previous version of the appellation rules, Grenache and Picpoul were associated with different pruning regulations in their noir and blanc versions, bringing the number of varieties previously mentioned from thirteen to fifteen.K. Oberfeldwebel, Panzer troops, 1941 The Panzer uniform ( ) consisted of black wool hip-length double-breasted jacket and trousers, with skulls on the collar patches instead of Litzen and, officially until 1942, collar piping in Waffenfarbe (usually the rose-pink of the armor branch, but also gold for former cavalry units in the reconnaissance role or black/white twist for combat engineers). The color and Totenköpfe (skulls) were chosen due to their similarity to the uniforms of August von Mackensen's Black Hussars, and also for practical reasons: the black color made oil stains less visible and a short jacket was less likely to get caught in the machinery. The trousers had tapered cuffs with drawstrings and tapes in order to fit into lace-up ankle boots. Although the jacket could be buttoned to the neck in cold weather, ordinarily it was worn open-collar with a field grey or mouse grey shirt and (in theory) a black necktie.

After 1918 the style of his still lifes becomes more impressionistic, the technique more painterly and using a great deal of impasto, and usually depict roses in Chinese vases from the former collection of J. Pierpont Morgan that he copied at the galleries of Duveen Brothers in New York (Duveen's exhibited the Morgan collection in 1919) and elsewhere, and sometimes including depictions of other works of art like bronze or biscuit porcelain statuettes, Chinese porcelain Buddhas, Italian maiolica plates and so on. It is known he was an admirer of Claude Monet and others, as he told the German Kaiser – who hated the Impressionists – in 1909 that the Impressionists had "done a great deal to awaken modern art."New York American, November 28, 1909, Part II Main Sheet, p. 1.
