Golden Virginia is a hand-rolling tobacco brand manufactured in Nottingham, England by Imperial Brands and sold throughout Europe. It is a blend of fine- cut Virginia, burley and oriental tobaccos. Golden Virginia first appeared in the United Kingdom in 1877, and it is currently sold in 30g and 50g pouches. The pouches have a zip lock seal to keep the tobacco fresh along with a sticky tab and one packet of Rizla hand-rolling papers with a 30g pouch, and two packets with a 50g pouch.

The store sold common head shop paraphernalia, including: bongs, books, bumper stickers, clothing, crystals, Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia memorabilia, hookahs, incense, posters, rolling papers, tie- dyed shirts, and vaporizers. According to The Oregonian, The Third Eye was also a "link to the city's lively and long history with marijuana activism". The store was owned by cannabis and counterculture activist Jack Herer (1939–2010).

Bassist Louiche Mayorga decided to form Luicidal with his former Suicidal Tendencies bandmate R.J. Herrera after he missed "being on the stage as an artist". In order to put the band together, they were joined by Mando Ochoa (Sick Sense) on vocals and Ricky Reynaga (Rated X, Rolling Papers and Sancho's Revenge) on guitar. Luicidal performs songs from Suicidal Tendencies' first three studio albums, Suicidal Tendencies, Join the Army and How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today; the first two featured Mayorga on bass, while the last two featured Herrera on drums. Luicidal released their debut album Luicidal on October 14, 2014 on DC-Jam Records.

The young rapper has also performed with Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and Big Boi of Outkast. The self-acclaimed "Mother to the New Era" also collaborated with well-known names like Bangladesh, DJ Toomp, The Stereotypes, and rappers Kwajo Cinqo of Ghetto Concept and Rick Ross. She has opened for Wiz Khalifa's two-time sold out Rolling Papers World Tour show in Toronto in September 2011, in addition to releasing her single "I'm The One" from her I Am Legend mixtape on October 12, 2011 with cameos shot in Miami, Florida alongside Rick Ross. In 2013, she collaborated with Karl Wolf and was featured in his single "Go Your Own Way".

The two began making beats together, while Jerm interned at the studio. Sayez joined forces with the pair in 2010. ID Labs began working with Khalifa during the creation of one of the rapper’s early mixtapes. Dan offered Khalifa a job at the studio sweeping floors and answering phones, in exchange for extra recording time. The team recognized Khalifa’s talent, and began what would become a long-term working relationship. To date, ID Labs have produced a large percentage of Khalifa’s commercially released material, including 6 tracks on Rolling Papers and 7 tracks on O.N.I.F.C.. Big Jerm met Mac Miller in 2009 via Myspace.

Like many of Escher's works, the meaning of the imagery is enigmatic. There are, however, a number of scholarly interpretations of the work. One is that the lizard represents man, emerging from pure concept in two dimensions, becoming a three dimensional being, groping through life acquiring knowledge and wisdom, arriving at deep understanding of science and sacred geometric principals and the alchemical/spiritual nature of reality and existence, and finally descending to reunion with the realm of pure concept. In this theory the objects around the edge of the drawing are signals of the stages of emergence (cactus, biological life), the beginning of the fire-quest for knowledge (rolling papers), contemplation and distillation (a jug and partially consumed glass of spirits), deep study, understanding and wisdom (the open well-used notebook), and re-integration (matches and cigarettes symbolizing controlled/civilized fire that nonetheless consumes and returns the physical to the abstract).

Reptiles depicts a desk upon which is a 2D drawing of a tessellated pattern of reptiles and hexagons, Escher's 1939 Regular Division of the Plane. The reptiles at one edge of the drawing emerge into three dimensional reality, come to life and appear to crawl over a series of symbolic objects (a book on nature, a geometer's triangle, a three dimensional dodecahedron, a pewter bowl containing a box of matches and a box of cigarettes) to eventually re-enter the drawing at its opposite edge. Other objects on the desk are a potted cactus and yucca, a ceramic flask with a cork stopper next to a small glass of liquid, a book of JOB cigarette rolling papers, and an open handwritten note book of many pages. Although only the size of small lizards, the reptiles have protruding crocodile-like fangs, and the one atop the dodecahedron has a dragon-like puff of smoke billowing from its nostrils.

Their decision overturned the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Concerned that the sale of items such as bongs and rolling papers, along with books and magazines devoted to the era's drug culture promoted and encouraged illegal recreational drug use, the board of trustees of the village of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, passed an ordinance requiring that vendors of drug paraphernalia obtain a license to do so, as they lacked the power to ban their sale outright. " AllMusic's David Jeffries called album closer "Oldie" epic in nature, stating that Earl Sweatshirt's return was the highlight of the album, summarizing the album as "hype warranted." Beats Per Minute's Craig Jenkin compared the album extensively to prior Odd Future releases, reporting that "it ditches the expansive ooze that made stretches of Tyler’s Goblin a chore, the nihilistic agitprop of MellowHype’s BlackenedWhite, and the lackadaisical drugginess of Mike G’s Ali and Domo’s Rolling Papers in favor of the kind of restless, jerky energy that skyrocketed Bastard into the dialogue months prior." He described the album as something that "mainly sounds like a bunch of dudes in a dank basement cooking up the wildest smack talk possible, with one-upping each other being the primary objective." Jeff Reiss of Spin gave the album a mixed review, commenting that "it’s Odd Future at their best, blending eccentricity, rebellion, and weird humor, with the fearlessness of kids convinced that there are no consequences to their actions", though noted that "at their worst, they are guilty of every adolescent’s biggest fear - being boring.

Some head shops also sell oddities, such as antique walking sticks and sex toys. Since the 1980s, some head shops have sold clothing related to the heavy metal or punk subculture, such as band T-shirts and cloth patches with band logos, studded wristbands, bullet belts, and leather boots. Other items offered typically include hashish pipes, "one hitter" pipes; pipe screens; bongs (also referred to as water pipes); roach clips (used for smoking the end of a marijuana "joint"); vaporizers used for inhaling THC vapor from cannabis; rolling papers; rolling machines; small weighing scales; small ziplock baggies; cannabis grinders; blacklight-responsive posters and blacklights; incense; cigarette lighters; "stashes", which include a range of standard consumer products such as clocks, books, tins of cleaning powder, and toilet brushes which have hidden compartments for cannabis and non-camouflaged "stash boxes" which are tins or wooden containers for storing marijuana; and legal highs such as whipped-cream chargers (which contain nitrous oxide) and Salvia divinorum (both of which are illegal in some countries and some US states for recreational purposes). Some head shops also sell items used for home cultivation of marijuana plants, such as hydroponic equipment and lights and guidebooks on cultivation.
