In 1959 White moved up to work as a rock jock at station WJAS, in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1966-1968 White worked at KDKA Radio and Television, in Pittsburgh . anchoring newscasts on the radio, and doing feature stories for Eyewitness News. White's amateur radio call signs were W3TNY, W0NJB and later KM0X (with a zero to be similar to the alphabetic O in the St. Louis commercial radio station KMOX).

David "Daisy" Day (1951 - 1 May 2015) was an Australian radio broadcaster. Day began his disc jockey career at 16 in Moree, New South Wales, before moving to Adelaide in 1973 to work firstly at 5KA, then SAFM and, in 1995, Triple M. In 2013, Day published his autobiography "Rock Jock". and founded the SA Music Hall of Fame at Goodwood Institute in Adelaide. In 2015, Day had health issues, and he died on 1 May, aged 63.

Her radio name was Den Pal Dawn where she featured "The Bachelor Boy Household Hint of the Day" and celebrity gossip between songs; she eventually did the morning show before leaving for WIND (AM). On Christmas Day, 1971, Connie started DJing at WIND and did irregular shifts for the station. (Chicago Daily News, Norman Mark, April 12, 1972) In March 1974, Szerszen became America's first female rock jock to have her own PRIME TIME program on AM radio in a major market as announced in a WIND press release in March 1974.

The current lineup at WGRR consists of Chris O'Brien and Janeen Coyle ("Married with Microphones") mornings with news and traffic from Angie Irick, Rockin' Ron Schumacher middays, Keith Mitchell afternoons and Steve Mann, nights. WGRR has been home to many popular local air personalities, among them Jim "The Music Professor" Labarbara, voted by his peers as one of the Top 40 radio personalities of all time. Jim is also a member of the Rock Jock Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Ohio Radio/Television Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He was replaced in early 2007 by current program director Keith Mitchell, formerly PD of WMOJ-FM (Mojo 94.9).
