Rockin’ Roller was a steel roller coaster at Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri. The junior coaster was known as Rock Candy Express from 1975 to 1984, Acme Gravity Powered Roller Ride from 1985 to 2005, and then Rockin’ Roller in 2006 after it was moved to another section within the park. The ride did not operate in 2007 and was eventually scrapped in 2008.

He has also played in Nasty Habit, as a member of The Babys and Bad English, and with Coverdale-Page and Ted Nugent. Phillips and his former Bad English bandmate Neal Schon also played with former Montrose members Sammy Hagar and Denny Carmassi on a live version of the Montrose song "Rock Candy".

Rock Candy Funk Party is an American jazz-funk band from Los Angeles, California. It was formed in 2009 by drummer Tal Bergman and guitarist Ron DeJesus, who had previously released Grooove, Vol. 1 in 2007. After adding guitarist Joe Bonamassa, bassist Mike Merritt and keyboardist Renato Neto, the band released its debut album We Want Groove in 2013, which reached number 5 on the US Billboard Jazz Albums chart and number 6 on the UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart.

Union Jacks is The Babys fourth album, which peaked at number 42 on the Billboard 200 in 1980. Stampede are a British hard rock band formed in 1981 by songwriting partnership Reuben Archer and Laurence Archer. The band signed to Polydor Records, emerging as part of the new wave of British heavy metal scene. Stampede disbanded in 1983, and guitarist Laurence Archer went on to play with UFO, Phil Lynott's Grand Slam amongst other projects. The band reformed 26 years later in 2009, and a new studio album titled 'A Sudden Impulse' was released on 9 May 2011 on the Grind That Axe label, a subsidiary of Rock Candy Records.

Stand Your Ground is the second studio album by British rock band Wild Horses, co-produced with Kit Woolven at Good Earth and Maison Rouge Studios in London and released in May 1981 on EMI Records. It was subsequently issued on CD in Japan in 1993 on Toshiba-EMI, and by the now defunct UK labels Zoom Club in 1999 and Krescendo Records in 2009, respectively. Mile High Media Unveils New Studio, Sweet Sinema, Retrieved November 12, 2011 In 2011, Noelle began directing for Mile High Media's then-new company, Sweet Sinema. However, she resigned from Mile High Media that November to sign a new deal with AEBN to create new porn brands Girl Candy Films (lesbian sex), Hard Candy Films (straight), Rock Candy Films (gay), and TransRomantic Films (transgender). Hard Candy Films has since been renamed Hot Candy Films. Noelle has also written about her career on her Huffington Post blog and on Salon.com.

"Hide Your Heart", co-written by Paul Stanley, first appeared on Bonnie Tyler's Hide Your Heart album, and later appeared on Kiss' Hot in the Shade, released the same month as this album. The members had thoughts about reforming in 1991, but when bassist and founding member Chris Schlosshardt died of pneumonia,"The Dead Rock Star Club 1990-1991" the band's fate was sealed. His death also contributed to the dissolution of another band, The Nymphs. That band's lead singer, Inger Lorre, was Schlosshardt's girlfriend, and she went back to New Jersey in the wake of his death. The album was remastered and re-released in 2007 by Rock Candy with previously unreleased demo's of "Doghouse" and "Half the Way Valley" and expanded liner notes.

To promote the album, the band set up a temporary concept store in Melbourne Central Shopping Centre. It was open from 28 March 2014 until 6 April 2014. Vernice bianca is a type of sealer varnish used in violin making. It is mainly prepared with a mix of egg white and gum arabic. The following is taken directly from American Lutherie #10 in 1987 when interviewing Jack Batts. It is also in The Big Red Book vol 1 from Guild of American Luthiers. A recipe for “Vernice Bianca” from Simone Fernando Sacconi 25g of gum arabic 1/2 teaspoon of honey 1/4 teaspoon of rock candy [ambiguous term] about 100cc of water albumen from one egg white.

In 2011, Rock Candy Records, a reissue label in the UK, began remastering and releasing the Gamma catalogue. They started with Gamma 2 which includes 24 bit remastering from original source tapes and extensive liner notes with comments from Glenn Letsch. Gamma 1 was remastered in 2013 by Jon Astley, (who remixed the remasters for The Who) and features a new interview with vocalist Davey Pattison. After the break-up, Martin continued involving himself in several recordings and gigs. He contributed to the track "I Can't Stop the Fire" from the movie soundtrack Teachers, as well as "These Are the Good Times" and "Eyes of the World" from the movie Iron Eagle. "Big Rock Candy Mountain", first recorded by Harry McClintock in 1928, is a country folk song about a hobo's idea of paradise, a modern version of the medieval concept of Cockaigne. It is a place where "hens lay soft boiled eggs" and there are "cigarette trees." McClintock claimed to have written the song in 1895, based on tales from his youth hoboing through the United States, but some believe that at least aspects of the song have existed for far longer. It is catalogued as Roud Folk Song Index No. 6696.

The Highwaymen had a significant impact on the folk scene of the early 1960s. He wrote for Rock Candy Records, a hip-hop label in New York, in the early 1980s, and also toured with a band, Four Sticks of Dynamite and a Fuse – the fuse being a female dancer. The band won a residency at a club in Seffner, Florida, and Kari settled there. He also started performing as a solo act in resorts in the Tampa area, often billed under his old nickname as "Candy Yams".

Artwork on the bridge Crossing the bridge, visitors will observe three Chihuly glass installations. On the south end of the bridge, closest to the downtown is the "Seaform Pavilion", a 15-meter-long covered portion of the bridge suspending 2,364 pieces of colorful marine-life inspired glass on the ceiling overhead. Heading north, past the "Seaform Pavilion" and toward the center of the bridge are the "Crystal Towers", two 40-foot-tall structures on either edge resembling enlarged, vertical pieces of turquoise rock candy. The towers are made from 63 pieces or "crystals" of Polyvitro, a polyurethane material known for its durability.

After having done session work for various musicians including Van Morrison, Herbie Hancock and Edgar Winter, Montrose was Ronnie Montrose's first record leading his own band which featured Denny Carmassi on drums, Bill Church on bass, and a then-unknown Sammy Hagar (at that time 'Sam Hagar') on vocals. While considered a classic by many hard rock fans, the album's reputation has grown over time. In 1989, Hit Parader named it within the Top 100 Heavy Metal albums of all time. Tracks from the album received scant radio airplay, with "Rock Candy" and "Bad Motor Scooter" being notable exceptions.

McClintock claimed credit for writing the song, though it was likely partially based on other ballads, including "An Invitation to Lubberland" and "The Appleknocker's Lament". Hanemann formed the band Zebra in February 1975 with guitarist and singer Randy Jackson and drummer Guy Gelso, with Felix playing bass, keyboards and backing vocals. Atlantic Records signed Zebra in 1982 and their self-titled debut record was released in March 1983. The album stayed on the Billboard charts for eight months, peaking at number 29. Zebra has continued to record and perform, going into their third decade with six albums to their credit. In 2000 Hanemann released his first solo album, entitled “Rock Candy” and in 2006 he became a member of the band Harry Slash & The Slashtones.

In 2006 Rock Candy Records re-released Stampede's last studio offering Hurricane Town (originally released by Polydor Records in 1983). The album consisted of all the original tracks re-mastered, and four bonus tracks from the Lautec catalogue, and featured a 16-page colour booklet with sleevenotes by journalists Malcolm Dome, Dante Bonutto and Derek Oliver, along with a foreword by Reuben Archer. On 2 January 2009, Reuben called Colin Bond and Laurence Archer with a view to reunite Stampede, and the first gig was staged at London's Embassy Club in Mayfair on 25 May 2009. After several gigs they made the unanimous decision to commence recording a new album.

The Framework signed with Last Gang Labels in April 2009, to release their first full-length album Before Tonight. This represented a collection of songs created and recorded in various phases over the previous two years, including some featuring tracks recorded during The Framework EP sessions. Despite the amount of time spent on the album, it has been reported by the band that the total out of pocket costs for recording were only $130 because it was entirely self-produced. Despite this, the album has been described as "impeccably polished, so razor sharp", and a "continuous rock candy party with pervasive synth assaults and liberal amounts of studio gloss".

He was looking for a new band and one of Rail's guitarists, Rick Knotts had recently left. Billed as 'Rail featuring Montrose' or 'Ronnie & Rail', they played a set of half Rail favorites and half Montrose songs ("Rock Candy", "Rock the Nation", "Matriarch" and Gamma's remake of Thunderclap Newman's "Something in the Air"). B-Boy Records was founded by Jack Allen and William Kamarra in 1986, with one act on its roster. Allen, Kamarra, and Ray Wilson, calling themselves Rock Candy Records and Filmworks, advertised that a record label was seeking new musical talent in a newspaper. (Steve Huey of AllMusic reported rumors that it was seeking to establish a front for a pornography business.) The ad was answered by the then-unrecorded Boogie Down Productions, now the most famous of the acts that were to be associated with the label. By request, the group recorded an anti- drug song called "Crack Attack" and was signed to the newly formed B-Boy Records.

The peaks of the Tushars were formed between 22 and 32 million years ago by volcanic activity that included a calamitous explosion that blew off the top of a massive peak. At the cusp of the Great Basin, the range also shares characteristics of the Colorado Plateau Province to the east. Geologically complex, this area dominated by past volcanism, is composed of lava flows, ash flow tuffs from calderas, volcanic domes, cinder cones, rhyolite, basalt-like rocks, conglomerate, and metals such as gold, molybdenum and uranium. The area contains developed and undeveloped geothermal activity, fluorite, and the hydrothermally-altered rocks of Big Rock Candy Mountain.

As early as 1914, United States government publications discuss disputes regarding beverages labeled "rock and rye", including a case of a beverage so marketed which was found by the Bureau of Chemistry to consist of "water, sugar, glucose, and artificial coloring matters, sold in imitation of a rock and rye cordial". Many live music venues in Seattle, San Francisco, and New York organized shows to benefit Home Alive, where there would be music and spoken word performances. These performances were put on by a variety of people including bands, such as The Posies, and founders of Home Alive, such as Christien Storm, who performed spoken word, Valerie Agnew, who performed with her band 7 Year Bitch, and Gretta Harley, who performed with her band Maxi Bad. The first show took place at Seattle venue, RKCNDY (also known as Rock Candy). During these shows organizers and volunteers would talk about Home Alive and there would be tables with information about Home Alive, as well.

"There Used to Be a Ballpark" is a song written by Joe Raposo and recorded by Frank Sinatra for Sinatra's 1973 album, Ol’ Blue Eyes Is Back. The song expresses sadness at the loss of a baseball team and its ballpark, which once gave its fans and players joy, along with other childhood delights such as "rock candy and a great big Fourth of July". A key phrase in the song is "Now the children try to find it / And they can't believe their eyes / For the old team just isn't playing / And the new team hardly tries." The song has often been cited by books and websites that discuss old-time baseball.

Although the Suffering Bastard is strongly associated with Tiki bars and Trader Vic, a recipe for the cocktail was not included in his 1947 Bartender's Guide recipe book. It does appear in later editions however, and appeared in the 1968 Trader Vic's Pacific Island Cookbook and calling for both light and dark rums with lime juice and dashes of Curaçao, orgeat syrup, and rock candy syrup. Scandal is a self-titled debut EP by American rock band Scandal, released in 1982 by Columbia Records. Although the EP was never released on CD, all five of the EP's songs along with the "Goodbye to You" B-side "All My Life" are found on the VH1 Scandal compilation album We Are the '80s (2006). An alternate photo from the same photoshoot of the EP was used for the VH1 compilation cover as well as Playlist: The Very Best of Scandal (2008), with the track listing for Playlist being identical to We Are the '80s. All five of the EP's songs can also be found on the remastered and expanded 2014 Rock Candy Records version of Scandal's 1984 album Warrior.

It did not make the charts. On May 2, 1960, Era released a follow-up record, "Hey Little One"/"Big Rock Candy Mountain" (Era 3019), by Dorsey and it reached No. 48 in the Hot 100. Two days later on May 4, 1960, "Dreamin’", Johnny Burnette's first major solo hit record, was released on Liberty Records. On May 23, 1960, Imperial Records followed Coral's example and released "Way in the Middle of the Night"/"Your Love" (Imperial X 5668) under the name Dorsey Burnette, but it failed to make the charts. "The Ghost of Billy Malloo"/"Red Roses" (Era 3025), Dorsey Burnette's third single on the Era Label, was released on August 29, 1960 but unlike its predecessors, it failed to enter the charts.

As a villain, Alvarado was frequently cast opposite the heroic roles of Fernando Poe Jr., although he has also portrayed a supporting ally to the latter in films such as "Walang Matigas na Tinapay sa Mainit na Kape" alongside Paquito Diaz, also in a non-antagonist role which starred former child star Vandolph, and fellow villain actor Paquito's younger brother Romy Diaz as the main antagonist. On March 25, 1982, D'Wild Wild Weng started its theatrical run. In the film Alvarado is paired with Weng Weng, they play a duo who are sent to the countryside to investigate the murder a mayor and his family. Towards the end of his life, Alvarado became a commercial spokesperson for Maxx candy, a popular rock candy eponymous to his own screen name.

In 1953 a young David Attenborough commissioned Lomax to host six 20-minute episodes of a BBC TV series, The Song Hunter, which featured performances by a wide range of traditional musicians from all over Britain and Ireland, as well as Lomax himself. In 1957 Lomax hosted a folk music show on BBC's Home Service called 'A Ballad Hunter' and organized a skiffle group, Alan Lomax and the Ramblers (who included Ewan MacColl, Peggy Seeger, and Shirley Collins, among others), which appeared on British television. His ballad opera, Big Rock Candy Mountain, premiered December 1955 at Joan Littlewood's Theater Workshop and featured Ramblin' Jack Elliot. In Scotland, Lomax is credited with being an inspiration for the School of Scottish Studies, founded in 1951, the year of his first visit there.

Big Rock Candy Mountain is a project by artists Hannah Jickling and Helen Reed. The project took the form of a multi-year artist residency with students from Queen Alexandra Elementary School in East Vancouver. Through a program of workshops, printed matter, artist editions and installations, BRCM considered the school as a site of production with a variety of capacities and processes. The artists investigated the potential of children as collaborators and sought to challenge intellectual divisions between children and adults, and between fine art and art education. The project expanded traditional ideas about public art by producing a range of outcomes rather than a single finished ‘artwork’. For instance, one outcome of the project was a special bubble gum, designed through taste workshops by the students, and sold as an artists’ multiple.

The trio then recruit lead vocalist Vince Neil from the cover band Rock Candy, and after some brainstorming, the quartet name themselves Mötley Crüe. Despite being involved in a brawl with some crowd members, Mötley Crüe's first gig at the Starwood becomes well-received, and they progressively sell out all over L.A.'s night clubs until rookie producer Tom Zutaut of Elektra Records approaches them with a five-album deal and they sign Doc McGhee as their manager. During their first national tour, the band is given advice by Ozzy Osbourne to know the limits of their partying before he snorts some ants and licks his and Nikki's urine on the pool floor. Before long, the band's albums go platinum and they each spend millions of dollars as fast as they earn them.

After Clarke left, the remaining members joined up with new lead vocalist Shane and became the Electric Angels. Vincent has since enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing over 10 albums, touring, and scoring a Billboard Adult Top 20 single, "Wake Me Up (When The World's Worth Waking Up For)"; Daniel is a music industry manager of many top acts, including Sia, Train, Butch Walker, Fall Out Boy, and others; while Schubert faded into obscurity and is currently homeless in Los Angeles. In 2003, SongTree Records released "Teenage Neon Jungle (Rare & Unreleased)", a 25-track collection of the band's demos, live tracks, and post-Candy projects, both solo and band. In 2012, Whatever Happened to Fun was released for the first time on CD on the Rock Candy label.

Cotton candy may come out purple when mixed. Cotton candy machines were notoriously unreliable until Gold Medal's invention of a sprung base in 1949--since then, they have manufactured nearly all commercial cotton candy machines and much of the cotton candy in the US. Typically, once spun, cotton candy is only marketed by color. Absent a clear name other than "blue", the distinctive taste of the blue raspberry flavor mix has gone on to become a compound flavor that some other foods (gum, ice cream, rock candy, fluoride toothpaste) occasionally borrow ("cotton-candy flavored ice cream") to invoke the nostalgia of cotton candy. Pink bubble gum went through a similar transition from specific branded product to a generic flavor that transcended the original confection, and "bubble gum flavor" often shows up in the same product categories as "cotton candy flavor".

Lead single status was afforded to "Every Time I Think of You," a track completed without Corby, who was friends with the tune's composers, Jack Conrad and Ray Kennedy, the team responsible for the Babys' previous Top 40 hit "Isn't It Time." "Every Time I Think of You" matched the Billboard Hot 100 No. 13 peak of "Isn't It Time" in April 1979, the same month that Head First became the Babys' highest charting album with a No. 22 peak on the Billboard albums chart. After serving as the B-side for "Every Time I Think of You," the title track "Head First" was issued as the A-side of the follow-up single with another album track, "California" as B-side; this single reached No. 77 on the Hot 100. Head First was reissued on 26 May 2009 under Rock Candy Records after being out of print for many years.

Prizes were awarded to the winning team at the end of each show and over the course of the series included Super Soakers, Mountain bikes, and stereos. Audience members would always receive Hubba Bubba bubble gum. Other prizes for the audience, amongst others, included Oreo cookies, the 1998 edition of the Canadian & World encyclopedia CD-ROM, Rock Candy, Planters Peanuts, Bop It (later, Bop It Extreme), various candies from Wonka, Voortman Cookies, New York Color, Juiced Up from Dare, Armstrong Cheese, Yoplait Tubes, Dippity Do Sport Gel, Fruit Gushers (the show's official sponsor in seasons 5 and 6). On one of the earliest episodes in the first season, the first team to land on The Dump (indicated with a YTV basketball logo on the spaces) on the wheel would win 2 Rawlings NCAA basketballs, one for each team member, regardless of The Dump's outcome.

Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point is an annual summer opera festival and opera training program in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Founded in 1950 by Henry Hobart and Gertrude Stockard, the festival serves as a training ground for young opera professionals. Several alumni of the festival have gone on to have prominent performing careers, including Mark Delavan, Stephen Dickson, Tom Fox, Carroll Freeman, Beverly Hoch, Hei-Kyung Hong, Sherman Ray Jacobs, William Johns, Patricia Johnson, Gwendolyn Jones, Marquita Lister, Chris Merritt, Leona Mitchell, Brian Montgomery, Latonia Moore, Louis Otey, Kay Paschal, Cyndia Sieden, Richard Vernon, and Jennifer Zetlan. History Charles Mowers, a German-born engineer and inventor, came from Texas to the Ozark Mountains around 1900 to hunt wild game. He bought the land known as the Big Rock Candy Mountain in 1928 and began construction of a “castle” based on his memories of buildings along the Rhine River.

Diving For Pearls was remastered and re-issued by English label Rock Candy in 2006, including 5 bonus tracks, a studio demo of The Beatles' "Dear Prudence", and 4 live cuts recorded at the Toy Tiger club in Louisville, KY in 1990, including a cover of The Cult's "She Sells Sanctuary". Danny Malone would move on to join Band Of Angels, led by Elliot Easton of The Cars, whose Roy Thomas Baker produced album for Atlantic Records was shelved and remains unreleased. However, 5 songs from the BOA sessions with Malone on lead vocals would surface as bonus tracks on the 1996 re-issue of Easton's solo album Change No Change, originally released in 1985. Malone would also team up with former Styx member Glen Burtnik in a short lived band called Dunaways who played a half dozen shows at New York's famed CBGBs before calling it quits.

The title track, which was also the theme song to her MTV reality series The Ashlee Simpson Show, opens the album by introducing Simpson, who sings "got stains on my t-shirt, and I'm the biggest flirt" and "if you want my auto, want my autobiography / baby, just ask me". The Village Voice review described the song as "wrist-pumping Joan Jett rock candy", but Stylus labelled the track "an age-old trope and a boring one at that". "Pieces of Me", a song about the comfort and happiness Simpson found in her relationship with Ryan Cabrera, has been characterised as a soft rock ballad with "stringy guitar riffs". "Shadow", described by People magazine as the "most personal song" on the album, is a slower tune in which Simpson recounts playing a lesser role to her sister when she was younger, but eventually finding her own identity.

Dr. John, Toots Hibbert (Toots and Maytals), bassist George Porter Jr. (the Meters), guitarist Brian Stoltz (the Meters), and drummer Matt Abts (Gov't Mule) then took the stage for a set that included "Right Place, Wrong Time", "Pressure Drop" and "Hey Pocky Way," with Widespread Panic keyboardist JoJo Hermann on the latter. The Derek Trucks Band featured vocalist Solomon Burke for "I wish I knew How it Would Feel to be Free" and "Home in Your Heart." Trucks’ wife, Susan Tedeschi, along with Dickey Betts, then joined in for "Turn on Your Lovelight." The String Cheese Incident opened its portion of the night with the instrumental "Valley of the Jig" and "’Round the Wheel.

Roman found Bill too much like his grandfather and a potential threat to his power so he instructed Bill's father Frank Harlow to kick Bill off the compound when Bill was only 14 years old. Nevertheless, he assisted Bill much later financially with the expenses of his first wife Barb's cancer treatment and with the opening of his first Home Plus store, the former in exchange for Bill's marrying Roman's daughter Nicki and the latter in exchange for a share of its profits (though whether this was for the first store only is a source of serious contention between the men as the store expands into a chain). Roman loves music and has been heard singing both hymns (including The Church in the Wildwood) and folk-songs (including Big Rock Candy Mountain [in spite of its references to cigarette trees and alcohol]) for his own entertainment and that of his hosts and guests. His most prized possession is a guitar that accompanied the first Mormon pioneers to the Salt Lake Valley in 1847.

He attended Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys between 1952 and 1958 where he gained O Level passes in French, music and mathematics, participated in amateur dramatics and the school choir alongside his organ and piano studies and then worked as a clerk in a solicitor's office for two years. Lord absorbed the blues sounds that played a key part in his rock career, principally the raw sounds of the great American blues organists Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff and "Brother" Jack McDuff ("Rock Candy"), as well as the stage showmanship of Jerry Lee Lewis and performers like Buddy Holly, whom he saw perform at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester in March 1958. The jazz-blues organ style of black R&B; organ players in the 1950s and 1960s, using the trademark blues-organ sound of the Hammond organ (B3 and C3 models) and combining it with the Leslie speaker system (the well-known Hammond-Leslie speaker combination), were seminal influences on Lord. Lord also stated that he was heavily influenced by the organ-based progressive rock played by Vanilla Fudge after seeing that band perform in Great Britain in 1967, and earlier by the personal direction he received from British organ pioneer Graham Bond.
