RIA firms must be registered as providing investment management services with either the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or with the equivalent state office. RIAs have an even higher standard of care established by fiduciary standard to carry out their responsibilities with “good faith, honesty, integrity, loyalty and undivided service of the beneficiary’s interest.” The good faith clause requires RIAs to act reasonably in order to avoid negligent handling of the beneficiary's interests, and to not favor anyone else's interest, including the fiduciary's, over that of the client. Whether or not fiduciary responsibilities have been satisfied is not determined by investment performance, but by whether prudent investment practices and standards were followed.

This led to calls for West Berlin to have its own independent broadcaster as in the other Länder. A law was passed to establish this new broadcaster, which came into force on 12 November 1953, separating West Berlin from NWDR.
A network of jamming stations was built covering the entire country. However, attempts to jam broadcasts from West Berlin were soon abandoned as it was found to be impossible to do so effectively without also disrupting reception within West Germany - which was outlawed by treaty - and also ran the risk of counter-jamming of East German stations. Nevertheless, people continued (or attempted) to listen to RIAS and SFB/ARD broadcasts. In 1981, a further attempt was made to draw GDR radio listeners - especially the young - from western broadcasts by launching a youth radio station, DT64.

According to one principle of classification, an emergent coastline is a coastline which has experienced a fall in sea level, because of either a global sea level change, or local uplift. Emergent coastlines are identifiable by the coastal landforms, which are above the high tide mark, such as raised beaches. In contrast, a submergent coastline is one where the sea level has risen, due to a global sea level change, local subsidence, or isostatic rebound. Submergent coastlines are identifiable by their submerged, or "drowned" landforms, such as rias (drowned valleys) and fjords.

The pre-war Deutschlandsender stations, under the control of Joseph Goebbels' Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda as the Großdeutsche Rundfunk, were closed by the Allied forces upon Germany's surrender in May 1945. On 13 May 1945, the Soviet Military Administration in Germany (SMAG) began a radio broadcasting service to the people of Berlin called Berliner Rundfunk, operating from what would become the British sector of West Berlin. The station was controlled by Walter Ulbricht. When the three Western occupation sectors in Berlin were established, the American zone gained the station Rundfunk im amerikanischen Sektor (RIAS), while the British zone established the Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (NWDR) which also broadcast in their zone.
Takada graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and began her musical career as a percussionist with the Berlin RIAS Symphonie-Orchester in the mid-1970s. She became dissatisfied with the Western classical musical tradition and returned to Japan to study African drumming and Indonesian gamelan, as well as the early minimalism of Steve Reich and Terry Riley. She channeled these influences into the group Mkwaju Ensemble which she formed with Joe Hisaishi, Yoji Sadanari, Junko Arase and Hideki Matsutake. Mkwaju Ensemble released two albums in 1981, Mkwaju and Ki-Motion, and she also performed on recordings by Toru Takemitsu and Satoshi Ashikawa around this time.
He later plotted to extract Valerie's Longinus from her body, finalizing the extraction ceremony in front of the Occult Research Club. After obtaining the Holy Grail, Marius becomes arrogant believing that he has attained an even greater height, resurrecting even after an attack by Rias which destroyed the upper half of his body. His arrogance, however, proved to be his undoing as it angered Gasper into using his "true form" and was completely devoured by the darkness released by Gasper much to his horror as the Holy Grail proves useless against Gasper's power. ;Lord Vladi :Gasper Vladi's father and the current head of the House of Vladi.

Between 1978 and 1999 the German radio station RIAS produced and broadcast 79 radio plays based on the character. A few of them were based on original stories by Futrelle, but most of the scripts were new creations by German author Michael Koser. The role of Hutchinson Hatch is a lot more prominent in the radio plays than it was in the original; Hatch was made into the fictional narrator in the radio version. In 2011, the BBC Radio 4 series The Rivals featured Paul Rhys as Professor Van Dusen in Chris Harrald's adaptation of "The Problem of Cell 13", which was directed by Sasha Yevtushenko.
Captain Gore on Triton, which was in full flow at seven knots, was unaware of the obstacle and at 05:00 crashed into them, coming to a juddering halt and inflicting severe damage to his ship's hull. Gore was able however to bring Triton off soon afterwards and continued pursuit, assisted by Digby on Alcmene who was able to block Pillon's route into Porte de Vidre. In his concert recording from December 1950 (when he was 65 years old) with the RIAS Berlin Orchestra the timings are I. 9:45 (with repeat timing omitted; the performance actually does take the repeat); II. 7:45; and III. 5.24. In his studio March 1962 recording of the same work with the Philharmonia (recorded when he was 77 years old), the timings are notably slower: I. 10:53 (no repeat was taken); II. 8.58; III. 6:01. Unlike the late Eroica, the 1962 Prague is not notably slow; rather, the 1950 recording is much faster than most recordings of the work, even by "historically informed" conductors.
So my musical education came from the radio, so that's something special, I believe. Where he grew up there were no record stores at which to buy music, so he kept in touch with the world beyond the Berlin Wall by secretly listening to the popular but forbidden Western radio stations RIAS (Radio in the American Sector) and SFB and mixtapes occasionally smuggled into the country and copied among school friends. Shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, van Dyk and his mother were given permission to leave East Germany and moved to Hamburg to live with his aunt. In 1990, van Dyk moved back to Berlin.

In Volume 16, Gasper returns to his birthplace to meet up with Rias and Yuto who were confined in the Tepes Castle. He was then reunited with his childhood friend, Valerie, who became the new "King" of the Tepes Clan, but was greatly saddened to see her mentally broken due to overusing the Longinus, Sephiroth Graal, caused by Marius Tepes. Angered and disgusted by Marius and the Vampires that made use of Valerie, Gasper's hidden power awakens and he killed Marius and the Vampires that supported him. She enjoys doing small tasks and housework and it seems easier to move around doing simple matters as a maid than the wife of a devil king. Every now and then, she will take a day off as a maid and become a high-class lady who is to be acknowledged as a noble lady of the Gremory Family, Sirzech's wife and Rias' older sister. While maintaining the proper demeanor of a noble lady, she does allow emotions to show on her face and is less reserved around others. The Rias Baixas is the most well known region of Galicia and produces some of Spain's most sought after dry white wines based on the Albariño grape. While wines have been produced in this region for some time, exports of the wine to other areas of Europe didn't begin till 16th century and was kept at a steady pace till the phylloxera epidemic devastated the region's vineyards. At the turn of the 20th century many of the region's vineyards were replanted with low quality hybrid vines and some plantings of the Sherry grape Palomino that didn't produce as well in the cooler climate of Rías Baixas. In the 1970s growers began to replant native varieties like Albariño.
Together they continued to create buildings using innovative new materials, for example using lightweight fabric for the Mound Stand at Lord's Cricket Ground (1987). In 1994 Patty and Michael Hopkins were jointly awarded the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Royal Gold Medal for Architecture, with the medal citation saying "What best characterises the work of Michael and Patricia Hopkins is an equal appeal to ordinary people and to architects." Patty Hopkins had a major role in the new Glyndebourne Opera House project, completed the same year. She became an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) in 1996 and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 1997.

The front of Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh's Old Town, designed by James Smith By the later seventeenth century both the Presbyterian and Episcopalian wings of the church had adopted the modestly sized and plain form of churches that had emerged after the Reformation. Most had a centralised plan with two or three arms, in a rectangular or T-planned arrangement. Steeples continued to be a major feature, either centrally on the long axis, or on an end gable, as had been the case in pre-Reformation churches. As a result, there was little of the Baroque extravagance in church building seen on the continent and England.J. Gifford, William Adam 1689–1748 (Edinburgh: Mainstream Publishing/RIAS, 1989), , pp. 62–7.
The Institute distinguished itself as one of the world's leading centers of mathematical research, especially in control and systems theory. Among the mathematicians on its staff were Solomon Lefschetz and Rudolf E. Kálmán (who while at the Institute in 1960 published a famous paper that was the basis for the "Kalman Filter," a technique for extracting information from a noisy channel that finds applications in many facets of modern life), as well as Joseph P. LaSalle (who in 1960 published a paper describing LaSalle's invariance principle), Jack K. Hale, Harold J. Kushner, Walter Murray Wonham and others. While at RIAS in the early 1960s, Rodney Driver undertook research on delay differential equations and their applications.

International record review 2 2001 "If Rene Jacobs has one overriding talent as a conductor, then it is the ability to coach his singers to breathe life into recitatives. They do so magnificently in both operas, with marvellous performances from Judith Nelson and Isabelle Poulenard" Jacobs regularly conducts such orchestras and ensembles as the Concerto Köln, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Freiburger Barockorchester, Nederlands Kamerkoor and RIAS Kammerchor for recordings and concert tours. In 1992, the Berlin State Opera invited Jacobs to conduct there. When typhoons hit Japan, the Kii Peninsula is typically the worst affected area and daily rainfalls as high as are not unknown. Most of the Kii Peninsula is dense temperate rainforest since the climate even in the very limited lowlands is too wet for agriculture, and much of the coast consists of networks of small rias into which flow very steep and rapid streams characterised by numerous high waterfalls. Forestry and fishing were the traditional economic mainstays of the region and remain important even today despite a declining population and labour force.Kozue Taguchi; “Local Forestry and Sawmill Industries; The Case of Kumano, Mie Prefecture”, in Yoshiya Iwai; Forestry and the Forest Industry in Japan; pp. 230-237.

Hall, one of America's most accomplished black psychologists, who was just starting his career as a psychologist at the time. After discussing his ideas, Hall helped Cross devise ways to empirically test his model. The items that they created for a Q-sort experiment would eventually influence the first version of the Racial Identity Attitude Scale (RIAS). “The Negro-to-Black Conversion Experience: Toward a Psychology of Black Liberation” was published in the July 1971 issue of Black World, Hoyt Fuller's journal, based in Atlanta.

Fishing is a major industry in this coastal area of Galicia (called Rias baixas). In Cambados, fish and seafood sellers sell at what is called La Plaza, which is a great and hallowed installation that is very busy every morning (except for Sundays), as fish is usually part of the daily diet. La ría de Arousa, the body of water that surrounds this area, is rich in many types of seafood, as well. In Cambados, seafood is mostly collected in "O Serrido" or "A Seca", which is an area of water surrounding the San Tome Tower (see below) emptying out almost completely when the tide is low, leaving the perfect area for seafood collectors.
Miyako is located in central Iwate Prefecture, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the east, with the main urban area fronting on Miyako Bay. It is located at the northern end of the rias coastal area of the Sanriku Coast, east of the prefectural capital of Morioka. The city area is the largest in Iwate Prefecture and the second largest in the Tōhoku region (after Tsuruoka, Yamagata). However, around 90% of the city area is covered by mountains and forest, so the habitable area is only about 9% of the total area, and therefore although the population density per total area is low, but the population density per habitable area exceeds the prefecture average.

An important harbour, it became a base of the Spanish Navy during the Hapsburg dynasty, with the forts of San Felipe and La Palma watching over the in and out of the ria. Bordered by the municipalities of Ferrol, Narón, Neda, Fene, Mugardos, it stands out among the Galician rias in terms of the degree of alteration caused by human activities.
In Memoriam During a visit to Princeton in 1947–1948, LaSalle developed a deep interest in differential equations through his interaction with Solomon Lefschetz and Richard Bellman, with whom he developed a close friendship. From 1958 until 1964 LaSalle was based at the Research Institute for Advanced Studies (RIAS) in Baltimore, where he worked closely with Lefschetz and in 1960 published his extension of Lyapunov stability theory, known today as LaSalle's invariance principle. In 1962-1963 he was President of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM)Presidents of SIAM and was a member of its board of trustees in 1964–1967. In 1964 LaSalle founded the Journal of Differential EquationsJournal of Differential Equations Editorial Board and served as its Editor-in-Chief until 1980.
Lauder Church, built by Sir William Bruce in 1673 for the Duke of Lauderdale By the later seventeenth century both the Presbyterian and episcopalian wings of the church had adopted the modestly sized and plain form of churches that had emerged after the Reformation. Most had a centralised plan with two or three arms, in a rectangular or T-planned arrangement. Steeples continued to be a major feature, either centrally on the long axis, or on an end gable, in as had been the case in pre-Reformation churches. As a result, there was little of the Baroque extravagance in church building seen on the Continent and England.J. Gifford, William Adam 1689–1748 (Edinburgh: Mainstream Publishing/RIAS, 1989), , pp. 62–7.
As a Soloist he performed with several Orchestras just like Staatskapelle Weimar, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Hofer Symphoniker, Youth Orchestra Baden-Baden, RIAS Youth Orchestra Berlin, Symphony Orchestra Bad Reichenhall, the symphony orchestra of Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Weimar as well as the Youth Symphony Orchestra Munich. He performed with Igor Oistrakh, Muhai Tang, Christoph Poppen, Howard Golden, Markus Poschner, and George Alexander Albrecht and played concerts with Veronika Eberle, Herbert Schuch, Volker Hiemeyer, Milana Chernyavskaya, Dudana Mazmanishvili and Yumiko Urabe, as well as being a member of the Appassionata String Quartet in Würzburg, Bavaria.Review of Marcus Tannenberger concert auf martinatrumpp.com The musical press acknowledged his brilliant technique, intensity, and high degree of musical sensitivity and strength of expression.
An ingression coast, the Archipelago Sea off Naantali (Finland) An ingression coast or depressed coast is a generally level coastline that is shaped by the penetration of the sea as a result of crustal movements or a rise in the sea level. Such coasts are characterised by a subaerially formed relief that has previously experienced little deformation by littoral (tidal) processes, because the sea level, which had fallen by more than 100 metres during the last glacial period, did not reach its current level until about 6,000 years ago. Depending on the geomorphological shaping of the flooded landform – e. g. glacially or fluvially formed relief – various types of ingression coast emerge, such as rias, skerry and fjard coasts as well as förde and bodden coasts.
The Baltimore-based Research Institute for Advanced Studies (RIAS), not to be confused with the better-known Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, was among the several centers for research in the mathematical and physical sciences established throughout the United States after World War II, in recognition of the critical role that fundamental scientific research played in the outcome of that war. Although not as well known as other similar institutes, such as the IAS mentioned above, or the RAND Corporation, it nevertheless made significant contributions to the sciences of systems and control theory, and various branches of mathematics, during its 18-year existence.Talbert, E, Conquest of Gravity Aim of Top Scientists in U.S., New York Harold Tribune, (November 20, 1955), pp. 1, 36.
He is author of television, and radio documentaries and has led hundreds of interviews. In 1995 he initiated Westwind, a theme week of the TV and radio station WDR about the Americanization of the Western lifestyle. He was awarded with the RIAS prize for the opening feature Alltag Made in USA In his radio documentaries Bernd Polster took on topics related to a multicultural society, subcultural movements and biographies of artists, dancers and musicians. Examples are "Swing Heil" (on the Swing youth movement under the Nazis) his London portraits Nottinghill Carnival in the late eighties (the first outside of Britain), "Kanakenkartel" on German-Turkish rap musicians, "Generation Ghetto" on the riots of the East Asian youths in the city of Bradford.

She also writes the anime dub scripts and directs other Funimation actors. In April 2013, Marchi joined The Funimation Show web series as a co- host. On September 3, 2015, Marchi made her debut role for Sentai Filmworks as Neko Kuroha in Brynhildr in the Darkness.
Lochner worked for NBC during World War II, and returned to Germany as a U.S. soldier in 1945. His firm knowledge of the German language enabled him to become chief interpreter for the US occupation forces in Western Germany, until he took a position as chief editor of the Neue Zeitung newspaper in Frankfurt in 1949. Lochner also was head of the Rundfunk im amerikanischen Sektor (RIAS, ), a radio station supported by the US government in West Berlin during Kennedy's visit to West Germany. Lochner famously acted as Kennedy's interpreter, helping the president practice his speech on June 26, 1963 and the key phrase "Ich bin ein Berliner" ("I am a Berliner"), for which he created the phonetic spelling "ish bin ein bear-lee-ner".
50 years The Lords: "long-haired, loud and a legend ..."--The Biography. Schalksmühle 2008, pg.36 - with forewords by Uschi Nerke and Manfred Sexauer In late 1964 the band received a recording contract from EMI in Cologne and were now marketed as the German Beatles.Diergarten, Eckhard. 50 years The Lords: "long-haired, loud and a legend ..."--The Biography. Schalksmühle 2008, pg. 15 In 1964 their bassist Knud Kuntze ("Lord Knud") (18 March 1944 - 14 June 2020) had to leave the band due to an accident in which he lost his leg. He then started a career in radio, becoming a prominent DJ at the radio station, RIAS. In 1965, the Lords' band's roster changed to what most fans consider to be their classic line-up.
Geography divides into three unequal, fuzzy bands, one with bays, headlands, the birdlife, fishing and small harbour towns' estuaries and rias; an unequal wide-ranging elevations middle band with the main, well- conserved towns and; a sparsely populated, upland National Park moorland in the north. For over a century its tourism was concentrated around the railway, with most stations built here from 1847–1872 so tourism to its beaches and fishing villages began in earnest much later than to the 'English Riviera' east of the area. South Hams' widespread tourism multiplied on the dualling of the A38 and time-cutting construction of the M5 and A303 across other parts of south-west England. Note: The aforementioned Brixham and Churston are in neighbouring Torbay, rather than South Hams.
Outside of Berlin, the main centres of the protests included the industrial region around Halle, Merseburg, and Bitterfeld, as well as middle-size towns like Jena, Görlitz, and Brandenburg. No more than 25,000 people participated in strikes and demonstrations in Leipzig, but there were 32,000 in Magdeburg, 43,000 in Dresden, 53,000 in Potsdam – and in Halle, a figure close to 100,000. In West Berlin, the American radio station RIAS and several other West German stations reported on the protests and on plans for a general strike. As East Germans listened to the broadcasts, 267,000 workers at State-owned plants in 304 cities and towns joined the general strike. In 24 towns, outraged East Germans stormed the Stasi's prisons and freed between 2,000 and 3,0000 political prisoners.
As with all natural harbours on the island, Charlottetown and Summerside harbours are created by rias. (See also a list of communities in Prince Edward Island.) The island's landscape is pastoral: rolling hills, pristine forests, white sand beaches, ocean coves and the famous red soil have given Prince Edward Island a reputation as a province of outstanding natural beauty. A number of laws have been passed by the provincial government to attempt to preserve the landscape through regulation, although the lack of consistent enforcement and absence of province-wide zoning and land-use planning has resulted in some aesthetically displeasing development in recent years. The island's lush landscape has had a strong bearing not only on its economy but also its culture.
Their collaboration was fruitful and resulted in numerous articles, as well as the book (Sansone & Conti 1964), originally published in Italian, which was translated into a number of languages and became one of the standard texts on the subject in the 1960s. In 1956 Conti became full professor at the University of Catania, holding the chair of mathematical analysis until 1958, when he returned to Florence.. In 1963-1964 he held a visiting professorship at the Research Institute for Advanced Studies (RIAS) in Baltimore, Maryland. His research focused on several topics, which often overlapped in the time and contributed to motivate each other. A leading theme was constituted by functional analysis and its applications to the theory of ordinary differential equations, dynamical systems and control systems.
While she was teaching at a Gymnasium in Wolfsburg from 1983 to 1987, she started to work on a freelance basis for the NDR radio. In 1987 she moved to Berlin to work as script girl, assistant director of a number of TV and film productions and editorial assistant with the SFB family program. In 1988 she was one of the editors who was involved in setting up RIAS-TV where she presented the evening news program Abendschau and later the breakfast TV show Frühstückfernsehen. Several times during her career she took the risk to leave established shows for new productions where she had more influence, like her move from the well established heute journal to the heute nacht news show.
The Riverlife project aims to engage the community to actively appreciate Cooks River in Sydney, Australia. It usually more a tidal inlet then a River although is capable of flooding and receives the stormwater from 100 square kilometers of a highly urbanised part of the Sydney Metropolitan area. Other major waterways of Sydney include the Hawkesbury, Sydney Harbour, Georges River, and Port Hacking, all of which are Rias, but Cooks River shows more signs of slow weathering and development as a river than of being a flooded river valley. The River was an important part of the life of local aborigines for tens of thousands of years, and was a beautiful recreation facility for Sydney Siders during the early years of the development of the City.
Page\Park Architects was established in 1981 by David Page and Brian Park and has developed as one of Scotland's best known practices undertaking work over a range of sectors. With over 150 national and international design awards since its inception in 1981, Page\Park has won the Carbon Trust Award in Scotland twice, and has been shortlisted for the RIAS Andrew Doolan Award for Architecture four times, winning once in 2006 for the Maggie's Centre Highlands and receiving a Special Commendation in 2010 for the McManus Galleries. In 2005, the Scottish architecture magazine Prospect published a list of the 100 best modern Scottish buildings, as voted for by its readers, which featured six Page\Park projects. In 2010, Page\Park were 93rd in the Architects Journal top 100 architectural practices in the United Kingdom.
Castillo de Liria is the first wine to be bottled in the Valencian Community; a reference for the other cellars of the region which at the end imitated this new concept. Under José María´s presidency, wines as Ceremonia, Hoya de Cadenas or Fustanova are created in a dynamic and active international trading context. Besides consolidating the company´s growth, the fourth generation is known for improving the quality of the wines, creating a new line of wines for young people with El Miracle, trading wines from other Spanish Appellations of Origin (Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Rias Baixas and sparkling wine) as well as developing the cultural project Art in Cask, an exposition of wine recipients customized by artists like Carmen Calvo, Miquel Navarro, Javier Mariscal etc.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989, the radio organisation of the GDR began to shut down as services from West Germany were introduced and the GDR's stations were renamed and refocused in anticipation of the country joining the existing ARD system on 1 January 1992. Upon reunification in October 1990, two new public broadcasters (Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg in the east and Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk in the south) were created, and two existing West German public broadcasters expanded their coverage areas (Norddeutscher Rundfunk from the north of the Federal Republic to the north of the whole country, and Sender Freies Berlin from West Berlin to the entire city). In 1994, RIAS merged with the GDR's Deutschlandsender Kultur to become DeutschlandRadio Berlin, which later became Deutschlandradio Kultur.
Frieder Bernius was born in Ludwigshafen-Oppau, the second child of the Protestant minister Helmut Bernius and his wife Inge, a church musician. After his Abitur at the Karl-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Mannheim he studied music and musicology at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart and at the University of Tübingen. In 1968, his first year at the Musikhochschule, he founded the Kammerchor Stuttgart (Stuttgart chamber choir). They first concentrated on a cappella music of the 19th and 20th century, but expanded their repertoire. Since 1977, Bernius has collaborated with leading German orchestras and conducted the choirs of broadcasters, such as the SDR and WDR, the NDR Chor and the RIAS Kammerchor. In 1985 the choir decisively turned to early music, and Bernius became known as a conductor of historically informed performance.
Secondly, post- glacial rebound after the removal of the weight of ice over Scotland caused the island of Great Britain to tilt about an east-west axis, because isostatic rebound in Scotland and Scandinavia is pulling mantle rock out from under the Netherlands and south England: this is forebulge sinking. Over thousands of years, the land sank in the south (a process still continuing) to submerge many valleys creating today's characteristic rias, such as Southampton Water and Poole Harbour, as well as submerging the Solent. The estuary of the Solent River was gradually flooded, and eventually the Isle of Wight became separated from the mainland as the chalk ridge between The Needles on the island and Old Harry Rocks on the mainland was eroded. This is thought to have happened about 7,500 years ago.
In 2009, he appeared again at the Rheingau Musik Festival in Schumann's Das Paradies und die Peri. In the field of historically informed performance, Güra was the tenor (Evangelist and arias) in a 1997 recording of Bach's Christmas Oratorio, conducted by René Jacobs, with the RIAS Kammerchor, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Dorothea Röschmann, Andreas Scholl and Klaus Häger. In 1998, he recorded the arias of the St Matthew Passion with Philippe Herreweghe, the Collegium Vocale Gent, Evangelist Ian Bostridge, Jesus Franz-Josef Selig, Sibylla Rubens, Andreas Scholl and Dietrich Henschel. In 2006, he was the Evangelist in Bach's Christmas Oratorio with Nikolaus Harnoncourt, the Arnold Schoenberg Chor, the Concentus Musicus Wien, Christine Schäfer, Bernarda Fink, Gerald Finley and Christian Gerhaher, recorded live in the Musikverein Vienna.
Palladio's ideas were strongly based on the symmetry, perspective and values of the formal classical temple architecture of the Ancient Greeks and Romans, and associated in England with the designs of Inigo Jones. Bruce popularised a style of country house amongst the nobility that encouraging the move towards a more continental, leisure-oriented architecture. He built and remodelled country houses, including Thirlestane Castle and Prestonfield House.J. Gifford, William Adam 1689–1748 (Edinburgh: Mainstream Publishing/RIAS, 1989), , pp. 57–8. Among his most significant work was his own Palladian mansion at Kinross, built on the Loch Leven estate which he had purchased in 1675. As the Surveyor and Overseer of the Royal Works he undertook the rebuilding of the Royal Palace of Holyroodhouse in the 1670s, which gave the palace its present appearance.

In particular, the deeply indented Ōfunato Bay area was a rich fishing ground and is the location of 16 known Jōmon -period shell middens, a number of which have been designated National Historic Sites. The Takonoura shell midden dates from the early to middle Jōmon period, and is located on a hill on the east side of the Ōfunato Bay in the Ashinozaki, Anozaki-cho neighborhood.
Starting in early 1947, the American Sector of Berlin had its own separate edition of the NZ. This Berlin edition made sense because in Berlin, the former German capital, the Allied Control Council had strong influence and the interests of the Soviet Union and United States were increasingly at odds. Publication of the NZ in Berlin was seen as necessary to prevent the Sovietization of the Germans there. The NZ in Berlin operated autonomously under the editorship of Marcel Fodor. The feature section of the Berlin NZ - the so-called Feuilleton, covering literature, art, and culture - was under the direction of Friedrich Luft, long known for his theater reviews in the RIAS ("Rundfunk im amerikanischen Sektor", the radio and TV broadcasting service in the American Sector of Berlin).
In the south, along the coast, soft Eocene and Oligocene clays and gravels form low flat terrain, the Hampshire Basin. Protected from sea erosion by the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, and the Isle of Wight, this land supports heathland and woodland habitats, a large area of which form part of the New Forest. Much of the coastal landscape of the Hampshire Basin results from sea level rise in the Flandrian (after the last ice age) some 6000 years BP. There are several large estuaries and rias, notably the 12 mile long Southampton Water and the large convoluted Portsmouth Harbour. The Solent, which separates the Isle of Wight from the coast of Hampshire, is itself a flooded river valley, further erosion having broken the remaining chalk link with the mainland.

Knox was reading a text by Reynaud- Dewar which described the life of rasta icon and maroon leader Queen Mother Nanny of the Mountains. Since then, she works with her friends, family (her mother Mireille Rias is in many of her shows and performances including Interpretation at Kunsthalle Basel) and her students. In 2009, she turned to film and performance as her primary mediums, using them as commentary on racial issues like for example with Black Mariah (2009) and Cleda's Chairs (2010). In 2011 she initiated in her studio her dance video series which she keeps producing to this day and which see her, painted in various colors from black to red, white or silver, dancing naked alone in the various spaces where her work is made or exhibited.
Except in the southeast where the rough topography extends to the coast, hummocky terrain tends to be separated from the shoreline by a more subdued bench. The coast has numerous bays that appear to be flooded river mouths (rias), and unlike at Ontario Lacus there are no visible subaerial delta deposits, possible evidence of a recent sea level rise. In the northeast and northwest sections of the mare, along about a quarter of the total shoreline, there are extensive areas where the depth is less than 5 m, shallow enough for imaging radar to penetrate to the bottom. 2013 radar measurements by Cassini indicate parts of the lake are 170 m deep which implies the liquid must be very pure methane since the radar signal was able to pass right through it.
In the 1960s, he worked at Purdue University's Control and Information Systems Laboratory, Martin Marietta's Research Institute for Advanced Studies (RIAS) in Baltimore, Brown University's Department of Applied Mathematics, and in the Office for Control Theory and Applications of NASA's Electronics for Research Center, where he developed a geometric theory of multivariable control with A. Stephen Morse. In 1968, Wonham proved a separation theorem for controls in a more general cost functional class with many technical assumptions and restrictions. Wonham returned to Canada in 1970, after fifteen years away, and joined the University of Toronto as an associate professor in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Being with the university's Control Theory Group as a full professor since 1972, he served as Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Toronto between 1992 and 1996.
Remote infrared audible signage (RIAS) was developed by Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute (as Talking SignsR) so that print-handicapped people, such as those that are blind or have low-vision, or are illiterate, foreign, or visually impaired, would be able to access the same type of information available through textual print signs within the built environment. It consists of infrared transmitters repeatedly sending encoded spoken versions of the contents of the sign through wireless communication. An early version in 1979 called "Talking Lights" has been successfully upgraded/marketed commercially as "Talking Signs" which are being globally installed. An associated handheld or glasses-mounted IR receiver is directionally sensitive to a direct, line-of-sight infrared light beam and orients the person by giving more positive feedback when the sign is being pointed to directly and is close.
Form 13F — Covered Securities Short positions are not required to be disclosed and are not reported. Form 13F covers institutional investment managers, which include Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs), banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, trust companies, pension funds, mutual funds, Form 13F is required to be filed within 45 days of the end of a calendar quarter, or if that day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the deadline is the next business day. So, for example, for positions held as of the end of December, Form 13F must be filed by February 14 (if it is not a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday). Both the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and the CFA Institute make special mention of 13F-based analysis for due diligence and monitoring of investment managers, as well as investment-idea-generation.

The Kingdom of Galicia in 1603 The death of Philip II in 1598 failed to effect a dramatic improvement in Galicia's fortunes. Although the reign of Philip III of Spain (1598–1621) was marked by a more conciliatory foreign policy and was more peaceful than that of his father, throughout the rest of the 17th century (viz., the reigns of Philip IV and Charles II) witnessed a series of wars between the Habsburgs and Holland, England, France and especially Portugal, which collectively had a remarkable social and economic impact in Galicia. Thus, while conflicts against the Ottomans resulted in a devastating battle in the Rias Baixas in 1617, the unpopular war against Portugal (1640–1668) and the decades-long war against the Netherlands, both took a heavy toll on Galician peasants, sent to various fronts from the Atlantic seaports.
Her many highly acclaimed early performances for the BBC led to an invitation by the German radio station RIAS in Berlin, to make her debut with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra – which launched her career in Europe. Success in the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition as a top prize-winner followed, and in 1963, when she shared the much-coveted Piano Prize in the Harriet Cohen International Music Award with Vladimir Ashkenazy, her international reputation was sealed. That same year she made her debut at the Proms in the Royal Albert Hall and became a favourite soloist with leading British orchestras including the Philharmonia, London Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, Hallé, Bournemouth Symphony, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Norma Fisher is known for her versatility as a performer, receiving acclaim worldwide as one of Britains leading pianists.
The list of prominent contributors to the golden age of general relativity, contains the names of several scientists who had authored the nineteen ARL Technical Reports and/or seventy papers. The ARL sponsored papers were published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society of London, Physical Review, Journal of Mathematical Physics, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review D, Review of Modern Physics, General Relativity and Gravitation, International Journal of Theoretical Physics, and Nuovo Cimento B. Some of the ARL papers were written in collaboration with RIAS, the U.S. Army Signal Research and Development Laboratory at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, and the Office of Naval Research. The ARL had provided significant enhancements to general relativity theory. For example, Roy Kerr's description of the behavior of space-time in the vicinity of a rotating mass was among those works.
The geography of the divided Germany meant that West German television signals (particularly ARD) could be received fairly readily in most of East Germany. Areas with no reception (black) such as parts of Eastern Saxony around Dresden were jokingly referred to as "Valley of the Clueless" (Tal der Ahnungslosen). West German acronyms ZDF and ARD accounted for Zentrales Deutsches Fernsehen Außer Rügen und Dresden (Central German TV except Rügen and Dresden). Whilst radio signals from international broadcasters like the BBC and the American-backed local station RIAS in West Berlin could be jammed, it was diplomatically and technically awkward to block West German television as it would have been impossible to do so (with any degree of effectiveness) without affecting reception in parts of West Germany as well which (apart from being outlawed by treaty) in turn could have prompted the West Germans to retaliate against Eastern broadcasts.
Since then he has been invited to perform both as a soloist and to play with most reputed musicians in major music conferences all over India, where he was accompanied most of the great musicians which includes: Ustad Bade Golam Ali Khan, Ustad Vilayat khan, Ustad Ameer Khan, Ustad Nissar Hussain, Ustad Mohamed Hussain Sarang, Imrat Khan, Nikhil Banerjee, Pandit V. G. Jog, Bhimsen Joshi, Jasraj, Parween Sultana, Sunanda Patnaik, Manik Verma, Laxmi Shankar and many others. The great Sitar maestro Ustad Vilayat Khan introduced him to European and American audiences. Sankha is well known all over Europe through his concerts with Ustad Vilayat Khan and Imrat Khan and many other renowned Indian and Western musicians. Among his memorable concerts are the concerts at the Westminster Abbey, Royal Festival Hall (London), Congress Hall (Berlin) and a two hours Tabla-Solo inaugurating a new studio of RIAS (radio) Berlin in 1975.
The KgU's activities included sabotage, arson and poison attacks as well as aggressive economic warfare, such as Operation Osterhase ("Easter Bunny"), in which the group sent 150,000 fake letters to East German stores, ordering drastic price cuts in order to cause a run on already scarce consumer goods. Other activities included collecting data on individuals imprisoned in East Germany and passing it on to their relatives, as well as collecting names of informers to the East German government and passing it on to RIAS, which would then broadcast so-called "snitch reports" in order to silence informers and discourage others from engaging in similar activities. The KgU also aided the CIA in building up a so-called stay-behind network to be used in the event of a hypothetical Soviet invasion. Infiltration of the KgU by Stasi operatives and the arrest of several of its agents in East Germany eventually caused the group to dissolve in 1959, with many of its records going to the CIA.

From this period dates the legendary Archiv production featuring baritone Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Hermann Töttcher playing oboe and oboe da caccia in Bach's Cantatas Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen, BWV 56 and Ich habe genug, BWV 82. But the worsening of the post-war political situation in Germany in the early 1950s, particularly in Berlin where circulating between the various sectors became increasingly difficult, also created financial problems for radio broadcasting. When it became clear at the end of 1952 that the RIAS could not go on subsidizing all its orchestras, Ristenpart accepted an offer to create a new chamber orchestra for the Saar radio, with which he was also to produce LPs for Les Discophiles français (an unusual arrangement linked to the fact that the "autonomous" Saar region was still under French administration at the time).
