Following successful testing of a recycling station in one Paris district, the city will install 83 stations in four districts by the end of the year.

Lisbjerg Forbrændingen, also known as AffaldsCenter Lisbjerg, is the original waste-to-power facility which also contains a recycling station, toxic waste center and a number of waste disposal systems apart from the power plant itself. Annually it processes 670.000 metric tons of waste of which 225.000 tons is used for energy production. It can process 23 tons of was per hour and produces 76 MV heat for district heating and 18.9 MV electricity. Annually it produces 470.000 MWh heat and 120.000 MWh electricity.

Volunteer-organized recycling station on Harcourt Road, Admiralty, inside the occupation zone Time magazine described the organised chaos of the protest sites as "classical political anarchism: a self-organizing community that has no leader." Teams of volunteers working in shifts dealt with garbage collection and recycling, security and medical care. Well-stocked supply stations dispensed water and other basic necessities such as toilet paper, saline solution, instant coffee and cereal bars free of charge. The medical team in Admiralty consisted of more than 200 volunteers across four stations.

All students of the center participate in maintaining and growing Slukat's garden, giving them the opportunity to understand the potential of fruit and vegetables. In addition, Slukat has a recycling program, where the children's raised awareness from the Clean & Green class of the dangers of poor waste management to their heath, their village, and the environment as a whole drove them to establish a recycling station. All students participate in the center's recycling bank, which rewards students via a point system on a monthly basis. Students now bring in excess of 100 kg of plastics to the center each month which would otherwise be burnt or discarded in local waterways.

The Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library opened February 14, 2001 to serve the Carrollwood and Northdale communities in northern Hillsborough County. A 10,000 square foot expansion of the original 25,000 square foot building was completed in February 2014 and features: a glass- enclosed children's room and story time room, a second community room over twice the size of the original, new spaces, furniture and technologies to facilitate collaborative work, a vending café, a larger Carousel Book Store, Adobe Creative Cloud software, assistive technology, a cooking oil recycling station, and electric car charging stations. Open seven days a week, the library houses a comprehensive circulating collection in multiple formats and a wide variety of programs and services. In addition to the two large community rooms and story time room, four smaller meeting rooms are available for programs, meetings, quiet study and literacy tutoring.
