The gang reconnoiters for the shop and Floyd says that whoever wears the red mask should lead the gang. Gang member Clyde Destro (Jonny Coyne) kills Floyd and takes the mask as a prize. Gordon and Bullock discover in a refrigerator at the shop Floyd's corpse. Destro is identified by a witness, and Gordon and Bullock use his release as a ploy to trail him to the gang.

The instrument has two modes, a multispectral untargeted mode and a hyperspectral targeted mode. In the untargeted mode, CRISM reconnoiters Mars, recording approximately 50 of its 544 measurable wavelengths at a resolution of 100 to 200 meters per pixel. When Hauron reconnoiters Cape Canaveral one night, an MP's guard dogs attack him and tear off his recently reattached arm. Nonetheless, he uses his "disruptor ray" to shoot down the rockets as soon as they're launched. The rocket scientists, who don't know about the extraterrestrials, work diligently to try to understand why their rockets are exploding.

On the morning of 30 January, the Danes located the Swedish vanguard, consisting of 400 cavalry units under colonel Casper Borneman, who rode out against Tybrind Vig. Borneman was accompanied by 200 detached dragoons who on sleds carried beams, boards, ladders, barrels, and straw to build bridges across gaps and weaker ice sections. After their discovery, the Danes dispatched some of their units from Iversnæs to Tybrind Vig, where they clashed with Swedish reconnoiters. The church bells rang across Funen, warning that the Swedes were on their way.

The painting, Hands of Fatima is from Laila Shawa’s series called Women and Magic that reconnoiters a common practice of magic and witchcraft in the middle east.

Cameron Platter's interdisciplinary work examines consumption, excess, detritus, discord, and conflict within a fragmented South African identity, and fills the ordinary and marginal with incendiary new meaning. Working from everyday experience with subjects overlooked or considered delinquent, sordid and lowbrow, he reconnoiters notions and concepts on the outside fringes of South Africa's popular culture. Platter's work acts as a locus, documenting a dysfunctional contemporary reality. His work has been described as "unorthodox", "the delinquent love child of Quentin Tarantino and Dr Seuss" and where "the bizarreness of everyday life comes together in an expression unashamedly unforgiving, yet deeply observant".

As a test Yuri is asked to resolve a civil war in the frontier nation of Escondido, where he obtains another Epitaph. Regeinland then sends Yuri to investigate a newly discovered Void Gate which may link to the SMC. Yuri uses the Epitaph to stabilize the Void Gate and takes it to the Spetses sector in the SMC, where he reunites with more of his old crew and reconnoiters the Lugovalians for the Regeinlandic military. Upon his return to the LMC, the fate of the SMC is made public and the LMC nations begin fortifying their borders.

On 2 April 1802 Hornblower marries Maria, the daughter of his landlady, at the "church of St Thomas à Becket" in Portsmouth. He is unable to bring himself to be so cruel as to stop the ceremony despite thinking that "Maria was not the right woman to be his wife." Hornblower had, just days before, been promoted commander into HM sloop Hotspur as the fragile Peace of Amiens is breaking down and Britain is re-arming for a new war with France under Napoleon Bonaparte. Hotspur reconnoiters the approaches to the French naval base of Brest, and narrowly avoids capture when war is declared.

Once in Matholwch's kingdom, Branwen gives birth to a son, Gwern, but Efnysien's insult continues to rankle among the Irish and, eventually, Branwen is mistreated, banished to the kitchen and beaten every day. She tames a starling and sends it across the Irish Sea with a message to her brother Bran, who sails from Wales to Ireland to rescue her with his brother, Manawydan and a huge host of warriors, mustered from the 154 cantrefs of Britain. The Irish offer to make peace and build a house big enough to entertain Bran but hang a hundred bags inside, supposedly containing flour but actually containing armed warriors. Efnysien, suspecting treachery, reconnoiters the hall and kills the warriors by crushing their skulls.
