Mellow Yellow is the fourth album from British singer-songwriter Donovan. It was released in the US in March 1967 (Epic Records LN 24239 (monaural) / BN 26239 (rechanneled stereo), but not released in the UK because of a continuing contractual dispute that also prevented Sunshine Superman from a UK release. In June 1967, a cross-section of both albums was released as Sunshine Superman (Pye Records NPL 18181) in the UK. "Mellow Yellow" was the name of Donovan's hit single released the previous November.

'40s Junction is a commercial-free music channel on the Sirius XM Radio platform, broadcasting on channel 73; as well as Dish Network channel 6073. The channel mainly airs big band, swing, and hit parade music from 1936 to 1949, with occasional songs from the early-1950s. Until May 7, 2015, the station was known as '40s on 4, with programming being broadcast on channel 4, as part of the "Decades" line-up of stations. The Mounds Gravel remains as gravel alluvium from the Teays River, which once flowed north of current day St. Louis transporting sediments shed by the rising Rocky Mountains. Some geologists have suggested that the Mounds Gravel originated from erosion of the Central Highlands, when a large river flowed south through Kansas and Oklahoma to the Gulf of Mexico, until it was rechanneled to the present Mississippi River during the Illinoian glaciation. Whiskey Island was the first piece of solid land amid the swamps lining the river one-quarter mile down the Cuyahoga when Moses Cleaveland visited the area in 1796. Lorenzo Carter built his family farm on Whiskey Island, which got its name after a distillery was built on the site in the 1830s. The area was settled, largely by Irish immigrants, when the Ohio and Erie Canal was constructed in 1825 and the river was rechanneled in 1827. In 1831 the Buffalo Co. and the New Harbor Co., representing investors from Buffalo and Brooklyn, purchased the Carter farm and divided its into allotments along 22 streets.

In the 1860s, the new generation of Georgian intellectuals, educated at Russian universities and exposed to European ideas, promoted national culture against assimilation by the Imperial center.

40 Greatest Hits is a two-record greatest hits compilation by American singer- songwriter Hank Williams. It was released in 1978 by Mercury Records – who under PolyGram became responsible for the MGM tape vault – on the 25th anniversary of Williams' death. Significantly, it was the first anthology in quite some time that did not subject Williams' recordings to either rechanneled stereo, posthumous overdubs, artificial duets with family members (like his son Hank Jr.), or most or all of the above. Because of both this, and the value-for-money attraction of having a deeper song selection than single-disc compilations issued previously by MGM Records, many reviewers consider this anthology to be the perfect starting point for newcomers to Williams' recorded legacy.

After the sovietization of Georgia in 1921, followed by suppression of an armed rebellion against the new regime in 1924, many leading nationalist intellectuals went in exile in Europe. In the Soviet Union, Georgian nationalism went underground or was rechanneled into cultural pursuits, becoming focused on the issues of language, promotion of education, protection of old monuments, literature, film, and sports. Any open manifestation of local nationalism was repressed by the Soviet state, but it did provide cultural frameworks and, as part of its policy of korenizatsiya, helped institutionalize the Georgians as a "titular nationality" in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic. Thus, by maintaining the focus of Georgian nationalism on cultural issues, the Soviet regime was able to prevent it from becoming a political movement until the 1980s perestroika period.

The Beatles with Tony Sheridan and Their Guests was an American album featuring "Cry for a Shadow", a track recorded by the Beatles in Hamburg in 1961, with five tracks recorded in Hamburg in 1961 in which the Beatles provided backing music for vocalist Tony Sheridan, some of which had been released in Germany on the album My Bonnie under the name "Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers".The name "Beatles" had reportedly been avoided as it sounded too like , Low German for "penises"; ; Packaged in an attempt to capitalize on The Beatles' success, the record was only moderately successful, as the album peaked at only No. 68 on the Billboard album chart. It was released by MGM Records in both mono (catalogue number E-4215) and rechanneled stereo (SE-4215.) MGM augmented the six Sheridan/Beatles tracks with six instrumental tracks by Danny Davis and the Titans, a group of New York session musicians built around guitarist Bill Mure. The Titans also included Don Lomond on drums, Dick Hickson on bass trombone, and Milt "the Judge" Hinton on bass.
