The main difference between Tecmo Stackers and Puyo Pop is that blocks in Tecmo Stackers stretch in various directions after adjacent blocks are removed, and the "arms" they send out can complete sets of blocks and be removed; this allows for longer chain reactions. In arcade mode, players try to keep their stack of blocks from reaching the top of the screen.

This sport is practiced all around the world, though it seems the most popular in the United States. Other notable highpointing pursuits include climbing the Seven Summits, ascending to the highest mountain in each country in Europe, and reaching the top of each state or province in one’s home country.

Almost all of the energy available to the Earth's surface and atmosphere comes from the sun in the form of solar radiation (light from the sun, including invisible ultraviolet and infrared light). Variations in the amount of solar radiation reaching different parts of the Earth are a principal driver of global and regional climate. Latitude is the most important factor determining the yearly average amount of solar radiation reaching the top of the atmosphere; the incident solar radiation decreases smoothly from the Equator to the poles. Therefore, temperature tends to decrease with increasing latitude.
In addition the length of each day, which is determined by the season, has a significant impact on the climate. The 24-hour days found near the poles in summer result in a large daily-average solar flux reaching the top of the atmosphere in these regions. On the June solstice 36% more solar radiation reaches the top of the atmosphere over the course of the day at the North Pole than at the Equator. However, in the six months from the September equinox to March equinox the North Pole receives no sunlight.

The bottom section of the riser is narrowed to avoid solids from accumulating in the bottom section. Instead of the riser walls being smooth it is generally composed of membrane waterwall surfaces, this added feature influences the solid flow patterns in the vicinity, hence influences mixing and gas-solid mixing. The riser exits are divided into two types; “once through exits” which involves the exits being smoothly curve or tapered. This exit allows a large net circulation and is optimal for short uniform residence time as well as quickly decaying catalysts. The other exit is “internal reflux exits” which is an abrupt exit causing a substantial amount of entrained solids being internally separated from the gas reaching the top of the reactor.
The film earned $30,758,269 on its opening day in the U.S. making it the 25th-highest, and fifth-highest non-sequel opening day revenue of all time. It grossed a combined total of $74,036,787 in its opening weekend on 5,500 screens at 3,922 theaters, reaching the top of the box office for that weekend. This outperformed the expectations of $40 million that Fox had for the release. It set several American box office records, including highest grossing opening weekend for a non-CG animated film and for a film based on a television series, surpassing Mission: Impossible 2.
In 2005, Holy released "Brand New Girlfriend," co-written by Jeffrey Steele, Shane Minor and Bart Allmand. Defusing a red bomb yields more points than a black one. Upon reaching the top of the building, Spidey must then face off against the Goblin, who has planted a "super bomb", whose fuse is activated upon defeating a certain number of enemies and/or defusing a certain number of small bombs.Looking Back: Spider- Man for Atari 2600 Once the fuse is lit, there is a limited time to reach the super bomb before it detonates, claiming one of Spidey's lives. The album's leading track, "Black or White", was an instant worldwide hit upon its release in November 1991, reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart just three weeks after it was released, staying there for seven weeks. It was the fastest chart topper since The Beatles' "Get Back" in 1969 and was also the best-selling single worldwide of 1992.Halstead, p. 99. After the album release, the band performed a first headlining stadium show at Walsall's Bescot Stadium, attracting 18,000 fans, before embarking on a world tour taking in the UK, Europe and the US. For the tour, the band was augmented by keyboardist Peter Whittaker. The band carried on touring into 1992. They released the single "Welcome to the Cheap Seats" (UK No. 8) in February, which was also the title of their video rockumentary released that Spring after eighteen months of filming on the road with the band.
By early 1947, she joined the cast of the television showcase Musical Merry-Go-Round and was subsequently signed to RCA Victor as a solo artist. She made her chart debut a year later with "Cuanto la Gusta" before recording "My Darling, My Darling" as a duet with the Drugstore Cowboys vocalist Jack Lathrop. Although both of these records were hits, her subsequent releases, such as "Laughing Boy" and "It's Me" achieved less success, and in 1950 RCA terminated her contract. In the UK, however, she had her biggest successes in that year, with "(If I Knew You Were Comin') I'd've Baked A Cake" and "Silver Dollar (Roll, Roll, Roll)", in both cases credited to Eve Young & The Homesteaders, each reaching the top of the UK sheet music charts in 1950.
Each act ends with a boss level in which the chickens have to control a mannequin of Mrs Tweedy, Guide Rocky to Ginger in the pie machine and fly the 'Old Crate' stopping Mrs Tweedy from reaching the top of the rope hanging from it. In Act 3, the minigames involve assembling a part of the 'Old Crate' and getting its engine running. Act 3 also contains a minigame in which the player has to get the hens in Hut 2 to lay eggs to pay Nick and Fetcher though this can also be played in the first two acts but without the player getting to keep the eggs.

Diadem Peak (right) and Mount Woolley (left), from Parker Ridge In the summer of 1898, J. Norman Collie, Hugh Stutfield and Herman Woolley, had made their way up Woolley Creek and initially had their sights on reaching the top of Mount Woolley by climbing the icefield that separates Mt. Woolley from Diadem Peak. However, after a brief downpour which forced them to seek shelter among some rocks, they had just begun preparing the rope for ascending the icefield when a large collapse of ice from the summit made them switch their objective to Diadem Peak. The party ascended the southeast ridge along loose shale and ice, eventually finding a small rock rib that took them to the summit on August 25. Collie recorded an initial elevation of using a mercurial barometer.

NY 247 north from NY 245 in Gorham NY 247 begins at an intersection with NY 364 in a creek valley northwest of the hamlet of Potter. While NY 364 runs east–west across the base of the valley, NY 247 heads to the northwest, paralleling NY 364 for as it gradually climbs the northern side of the gully. Dante then enters the second circle, Lust, where he enters the Carnal Tower to find Beatrice, whose soul is slowly being corrupted into a succubus by Lucifer, who also reveals to her that Dante broke his vows to Beatrice, raping a captive woman back in Acre, as the woman offered to have sex with him in exchange for sparing the life of her "brother". Reaching the top of the tower, Dante confronts and slays the gigantic Queen Cleopatra and her lover Mark Antony. Entering the third circle Gluttony, Dante slays its guardian the "Great Worm" Cerberus. It is here where Lucifer shows Dante how Beatrice and his father Alighiero met their demise, both being slain by the assassin from Acre, revealed to be the husband, not the brother as she claimed, of the captive Dante raped.
Tracks released from the album continued the singer's streak of US number-one singles. The title track, "Amor Prohibido", was the album's lead single released on April 13, 1994. The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart the week ending June 11 – her first number one as a solo artist – and remained atop the chart for nine consecutive weeks becoming the most successful US Latin single of 1994. "Amor Prohibido" was certified 7× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) denoting sales of 420,000 digital units. Though the song did not reach number one on the Hot 100, it spent 16 weeks in the top ten of the chart, longer than both the previous number one hits "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Say My Name" as well as any of the songs that prevented it from reaching the top of the Hot 100. Following the success of "Jumpin', Jumpin'" The Writing's on the Wall was certified six- times platinum by the RIAA in September 2000. Worldwide the album had already sold a massive nine million copies, after just over a year on the charts.

The band was at the vanguard of a jazz/pop revival that would continue with the emergence of bands like Matt Bianco, Sade, and Everything but the Girl, whose members Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt contributed vocals and guitar to the 1984 The Style Council song "Paris Match". Many of The Style Council's early singles performed well in the charts, and Weller would also experience his first success in North America, when "My Ever Changing Moods" and "You're The Best Thing" entered the US Billboard Hot 100. In Australia it was far more successful than The Jam, reaching the top of the charts in 1984 with "Shout to the Top". Weller appeared on 1984's Band Aid record "Do They Know It's Christmas?" and was called upon to mime the absent Bono's lyrics on Top of the Pops.
Soon after, Live at the London Palladium became one of Gaye's best-selling and most commercially successful albums during his late-Motown period, reaching the top of the Soul Albums chart and peaking at #3 on the Pop Albums chart. Critical recognition of the album was also favorable and continued following the album's reissue on compact disc. In late 1977, Live at the London Palladium remained in the top 10 for thirteen weeks and went on to sell two million copies becoming one of the top ten best-selling albums of that year in America. The album was Gaye's last official live release until a July 1980 show at the Montreux Jazz Festival was released as a CD in 2003 though live bootleg copies of Marvin's 1979 Japan tour and 1983 North American tour have been released in small labels over the years.

Mickey uses a huge billboard for a Hawaiian vacation getaway to suspend Julius over the Bumblyburg city streets, with the giant reeling up and down like a yo-yo.
"The First Night" became Monica's sixth top ten entry and second consecutive number-one hit on the US Billboard Hot 100, reaching the top of the charts in the week of October 3, 1998. It replaced "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith which had held the top spot from September 5 to September 26, and followed Monica's first chart topper "The Boy Is Mine" (1998), her duet with Brandy. "The First Night" was replaced by Barenaked Ladies's "One Week" after two weeks at numer- one, only to reclaim the top of the charts for another three weeks in October 1998. It was one of the biggest songs in Europe of 2004, reaching number one Austria, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and number two in Denmark, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and number three in the United Kingdom and Hungary.
Bookmakers began to notice the X Factor trends in 2007, when, assuming the X Factor single would be a certainty for the number one, they started taking bets on who Christmas number two would be instead. The X Factor's dominance has also led to numerous novelty campaigns to attempt to prevent the show's winner from reaching the top of the chart, although only "Killing in the Name" by Rage Against the Machine was successful in 2009. Charity records have pushed the X-Factor winners down to number-two in 2011 and 2012, while in 2013 and 2014 the X-Factor winners pushed two records that would eventually sell over a million copies down to number two. The X Factor winning single plummeted dramatically in popularity beginning with the 2015 single ("Forever Young" by Louisa Johnson), the sales for which fell over 80% year-over-year.

Released as the first single from the album on 29 January 1982, it entered the chart at number one on the British music charts, staying at the top for three weeks, and preventing "Golden Brown" by the Stranglers from reaching number one. EMI, the Stranglers record company, objected to the sales of both versions of "Town Called Malice" being aggregated, arguing that Jam fans were buying both and thus preventing their band from reaching the top of the chart. "Town Called Malice" was the band's third number-one single in the UK. It was the band's sole chart entry onto any American chart (although this single and "Start!" both appeared in the low-rungs of the Billboard Dance/Club Play charts) when it hit No. 31 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1982. The song was ranked among the top ten "Tracks of the Year" for 1982 by NME.

In the UK, the B-side to the single was the Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society outtake "Berkeley Mews" while the Dave Davies-penned "Mindless Child of Motherhood" was used in the US. It became an unexpected chart smash for the Kinks, reaching number two in Britain and number nine in the United States. The single also saw success worldwide, reaching the top of the charts in Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa, as well as the top 5 in Germany, Austria, Belgium, and Switzerland. The success of the single had important ramifications for the band's career at a critical time, allowing them to negotiate a new contract with RCA Records, construct their own London Studio, and assume more creative and managerial control. In a 1970 interview, Dave Davies stated that, if "Lola" had been a failure, the band would have "gone on making records for another year or so and then drifted apart".
The two principal members Hjalle (actually Hjalmar Östman, born 1976 in Floda, Gagnef Municipality) and Heavy (actually Jonas Stentäpp, born 1975 in Björbo, Gagnef Municipality) met each other very early on when they both competed in På rymmen (meaning On the Run) on Swedish television station TV4,Aftonbladet: Slutrockat för Hjalle & Heavy a greatly followed music program with an average 1.7 million viewers and the songs promoted in addition through the Swedish radio program Önska på Sveriges Radio P3. Seven years after his smash hit "Hey Baby", DJ Ötzi released this single with the Austrian singer Nik P., who had written and released this song under his own name 8 years ago. At the end of 2006, a German Schlager artist called Nic popularized a version of Nik P.'s "Einen Stern,..." amongst the vacationing German club scene in Majorca, Spain, where Schlagermusik is particularly popular. One month later Ötzi recorded this single again and it debuted at No. 1 in Austria and two weeks later topped the German charts, preventing Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" from reaching the top of the charts in Germany, despite peaking at number two for nine non- consecutive weeks. Spending 106 weeks on the German Singles Chart, "Ein Stern (...der deinen Namen trägt)" is the first song to be on that chart for 2 years or longer, and also makes it the song with the longest run ever on that chart.
VII, the treaty reaches consideration of the border along Amazon's main stream which concludes in Art. IX with, "The border will continue through the middle of the Japurá River, and through the other rivers that join it and move closer to the north, until reaching the top of the mountain rangeA reference to the Guiana Shield which has the borders of Brazil with Venezuela and Guyana running along its southern face between about 900–1100 metres above sea level. between the Orinoco River and the Marañón, or the Amazon;Although the term Marañón River now refers to the river which flows from the Andes in Peru as the Amazon River's principal source, in earlier periods the name was given to the entire river all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, the name Amazon came into gradual use after being applied in the 16th century by Spanish explorer Francisco de Orellana.Chambouleyron makes the point: "The term Amazon does not exist in documentation of the seventeenth or eighteenth century.
My Nation Underground produced only one Top 40 single, "Charlotte Anne", which also met with modest American success by reaching the top of the Modern Rock Tracks. Subsequent singles "5 O'Clock World" (a cover of a 1965 Vogues song) and the orchestral pop ballad "China Doll" both charted considerably lower, disappointing Island Records and further discouraging Cope, who had not enjoyed making the record and did not believe that it represented him properly as an artist. To comfort himself, Cope spent a single illicit weekend at the end of the My Nation Underground sessions to create a second, lo-fi and unauthorised album called Skellington. Recorded in the same studio used for My Nation Underground on Island's money (and predominantly featuring the same core team of Cope, Skinner, Cosby and Fair) it was seen by Cope as a far more genuine artistic statement recorded at a fraction of the money and time.
Tracking can allow students to receive lessons targeted at their ability for each subject separately, attending lessons set at different levels at the same school. For example, a student at a higher level in math may attend a class with advanced math students, but if at a lower level in English they may be grouped with peers at their level in English. Another positive aspect of tracking is that since it separates students by ability, students' work is only compared to that of similar-ability peers, preventing a possible lowering of their self-esteem that could result from comparisons with the work of higher ability students, or inflating the egos of the high-ability students when compared to low-ability, same-age students. Being with students of similar ability could allow students to realistically compete against one another for the highest marks with a reasonable chance of reaching the top of a class.
"Girl Gone Wild" debuted at number six on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles and at number 33 on the Pop Digital Songs charts on the issue dated March 17, 2012, with 22,000 downloads sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. The song debuted at number 86 on the Canadian Hot 100, peaking at 42 on the chart and was present for a total of nine weeks. "Girl Gone Wild" also debuted at number 46 on Hot Dance Club Songs, eventually reaching the top of the chart in its fifth week. It was the second Dance Club Songs chart topper from MDNA, following first single, "Give Me All Your Luvin'", which had peaked at number-one three weeks ago. Madonna also had her quickest span of back-to-back number-ones since 1990, when "Vogue" reached the top of the charts just seven weeks after "Keep It Together". With "Girl Gone Wild" reaching the top, Madonna achieved a record 73rd week atop the ranking.
Another instrumental, "Cebu" (named after an island in the Philippines), later became a staple in the Quiet Storm radio format. Three albums released in 1975 and 1976 (Caught in the Act, Movin' On, and Hot on the Tracks) are considered the peak of their harder funk period. After those recordings the group developed the mellower sound hinted at in their 1976 Top Ten hits "Sweet Love" and "Just to Be Close to You." In 1977, Commodores released "Easy," which became the group's biggest hit yet, reaching No. 4 in the US, followed by "Brick House," also top 5, both from their album Commodores, as was "Zoom." The group reached No. 1 in 1978 with "Three Times a Lady." In 1979, Commodores scored another top-five ballad, "Sail On," before reaching the top of the charts once again with another ballad, "Still." In 1981 they released two top-ten hits with "Oh No" (No. 4) and their first upbeat single in almost five years, "Lady (You Bring Me Up)" (No. 8).
Upon reaching the top of the Tee Pee Town chair lift today, one is looking over the same Sunshine Meadows that were busy with campers those many decades earlier. In 1928, the Canadian Pacific Railway built a log cabin lodge for the use of The Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies, a club of horse enthusiasts who were sponsored by the tourist-friendly railway. This cabin was certainly not the first lodge built in the region (Bill Peyto’s cabin near Simpson’s pass was built more than 30 years earlier), but it is now the oldest building at Banff Sunshine and is known as the Old Sunshine Lodge. Housing Mad Trapper's Saloon and Bruno's Bistro, the OSL is situated at the timberline above what was then known as Wheeler’s Flats and just below a vast expanse of high alpine meadows. In March 1929, Cliff White and Cyril Paris, two local extreme sports enthusiasts, created a plan to use the CPR cabin as an overnight point in their ski trek over the great divide.
The song peaked at No. 2 (below Rod Stewart's "I Don't Want to Talk About It" released as a double A-side budget single along with "The First Cut Is the Deepest") on the official UK Singles Chart used by the BBC, though there have been persistent rumours that it was actually the biggest-selling single in the UK at the time, and was kept off No. 1 because it was felt that it might cause offence. Various sources state that it was indeed the highest-selling single of the week, despite a ban by the BBC and some major retailers. In order to prevent it from reaching the top of the "official" BMRB chart, for one week compilers "decreed that shops which sold their own records could not have those records represented in the chart", and thus sales from Virgin Megastores were not counted. Virgin had few doubts that theirs was the higher-selling single; the company's sales total out of stock exceeded the officially cited sales for the Rod Stewart single.
Playing as hooker, he debuted in L'Aquila Rugby main team in 1972, winning the Coppa Italia; for years, along with fellow Italian internationals like Ghizzoni, Cucchiella and Mascioletti, and then, also Bottacchiari, Colella and Pietrosanti, he formed the base structure of the team which was capable of winning two times consecutively the scudetto in the early 1980s, reaching the top of the championship and of supplying numerous important players to the Italy national team. At 18 years playing for L'Aquila, Morelli won two scudetti and a further Coppa Italia besides the previously cited one; he debuted in the Italy national team against France A1; he was not called up until seven years later, in 1982 for his second match (against the same opposing team). His first full international was in April 1982 against Romania. He took part at the 1987 Rugby World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, ending his career against the All Blacks in Auckland, with the hooker Sean Fitzpatrick as his opponent in the first row.
Rouge is the self-titled debut studio album by Brazilian pop girl group Rouge, released on by Columbia Records in featuring with Sony BMG. Recorded during the show Popstars with the music production of Rick Bonadio, who signs 9 of the 14 compositions, the album counts on compositions of Milton Guedes, Dudu Falcão, Piska, besides having nine versions of international songs and the participation of trio KLB in one of the tracks. The album mixes hectic songs from pop and dance-pop, in songs that talk about fame, love, domination and the power of dreams. It features the singles: "Não Dá pra Resistir", first single released after the victory of the group in the program Popstars ; "Ragatanga" a cover of Las Ketchup, song that became a fever in 2002, boosted sales of the album and the group's career, winning the audience with their unusual lyrics and dancing and reaching the top of the charts, staying for eleven weeks in the lead, and "Beijo Molhado", single released on the radio to finalize the promotion of the album.

As a member of John Hunt's British Everest Expedition, Edmund Hillary earned international fame as a result of his achieving the first ascent of Mount Everest, along with Tenzing Norgay, in what Time magazine has characterized as "the last major earthly adventure and also the last great symbol of [the British] Empire." Reaching the "Top of the World" was one of a series of adventures that brought Hillary world attention; these included the ascent of ten other Himalayan peaks between 1956 and 1965, an expedition to find the yeti; and an expedition to the South Pole as a member of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition in 1958, a jetboat expedition up the Ganges in 1977, and a flight to the North Pole along with Neil Armstrong in 1985. Starting in the 1960s, Sir Edmund undertook numerous small-scale development projects on behalf of the Sherpa communities of the Solu, Khumbu, Pharak and Rolwaling districts of eastern Nepal. Working with friends, family, and volunteers, Hillary built some 27 schools, 3 airstrips, 2 hospitals, and an indeterminate number of bridges, water supply systems, clinics, and other infrastructure.
The girls idolized Patti Page's multi-track vocal sound, feeling they achieved something close to her smooth blend in their Dot recording of "Stars Fell On Alabama". Kathy was especially fond of Connie Francis, evident in her solo recording of "Malaguena", which showcased her impressive vocal range. The sisters made no secret that they were huge fans of the innovative, intricate musical stylings of both The Andrews Sisters and The Mills Brothers.Sforza, John: "Swing It! The Andrews Sisters Story;" University Press of Kentucky, 2000; 289 pages. Their first hit, "Tonight, You Belong to Me" reached #15 on the charts in 1956. In 1961, the single, "Sad Movies (Make Me Cry)", (Dot 16255), turned out to be their highest-charting record. It was the only number #1 single of their career, reaching the top of the charts in Japan although only making it to #56 in 1961 on Billboard in the United States. Although much of the group's fame was based on their television appearances, they also recorded frequently for Dot Records in the 1950s and 1960s, producing a dozen albums, featuring their interpretations of well known standards such as "Among My Souvenirs", "Moon River", "Twilight Time", and many others.
Solo males from a range of musical genres were successful throughout the year 2000 in the UK. Ian Brown started off 2000 just as he did 1998 when he made his debut; his first hit of the year peaked at #5. The only difference was by 2000 he had established himself as a successful solo artist. He scored a Top 30 hit and did not chart otherwise during the year. David Gray kickstarted a very successful music career hitting No. 5 with his debut single "Babylon" and his debut album White Ladder finally reaching the top of the charts after a 64-week climb. The album is a great success, selling over 2.6 million copies and placing 18th in the top-selling albums of all-time in the UK. Two males started their careers early in the year, but by the end their success had mostly dissolved. Stephen Gately, ex-Boyzone member, made No. 3 with his debut solo release, which was a good start, however his debut album peaked at No. 9 and his follow-up single only made No. 11, putting him in a quick downward spiral.
After its release, "Angel" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 48 on the issue dated April 27, 1985, while her previous single "Crazy for You" was at number-two on the chart. After ten weeks, "Angel" reached a peak position of five on the chart. The song tied Madonna with Olivia Newton- John, as the female artist with the most consecutive top-five hits on the Hot 100 at that time. "Angel" debuted on the Adult Contemporary chart for the issue dated May 11, 1985, and reached a peak of five. The song debuted at number 40 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart on June 1, 1985, and reached the top after three weeks. It also charted on a number of Billboard charts, such as reaching the top of the Hot Dance Singles Sales and the Hot R&B;/Hip-Hop Songs chart at position 71. On July 30, 1985, "Angel" and "Into the Groove" were together certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for the shipment of one million copies across United States—the requirement for a gold single prior to 1989. It was the first 12-inch single to be certified gold, since Frankie Smith's "Double Dutch Bus" (1981).
