The stomach is reduced in size and surrounded by deposits of adipose tissue allowing for adequate energy to be stored. The skull is mostly cartilaginous and not well-ossified, unlike the adults of most larger ictalurids. The lateral line is fragmented and reaches to between the anterior to the posterior end of the adipose fin. This species also has a few paedomorphic traits (indicated by small size which ranges from 16-89mm, kidney morphology, and weak ossification of the skeleton).
He continued by stating that neither appeals to an exclusively LDS audience nor alienates non-LDS audiences. Moreover, scholar Terryl Givens argued that Saints and Soldiers can be interpreted specifically or universally. Givens claimed that the screenwriting created a film which is authentically Mormon yet reaches to a myriad of audiences. Although ties to Mormonism in the film have been criticized by some, Gideon O. Burton called the film, "among the most-praised films of the Fifth Wave [of Mormon cinema] to date".
The disease cycle of bacterial panicle blight is not fully understood in spite of the economic importance of the disease. The bacterial pathogens are considered to be seed-borne, but they also survive in the soil. After germination of the seed, the bacteria appear to survive on the leaves and sheath and spread upward as the plant grows. Their infection to rice panicles occurs at flowering, if the bacterial population reaches to a threshold level and environmental condition is favorable.
Unable to work the CFR, Jack uses Monarch's time machine (equipped with the stolen university core) to travel back to its first activation: the night of Will's death. Rushing through the University, Jack narrowly rescues Will from the falling debris. Will warns Jack he cannot simply repair the fracture then and there, as it would erase key future events and risk a time paradox. Passing a frozen Beth during a stutter, Jack reaches to unfreeze her but hesitates and leaves.

The company was established in 1937. From a small plant for the manufacture of pencils and pastels has grown into today's modern joint-stock company with a long tradition in the production of school and office accessories. The tradition of writing utensils in Zagreb reaches to the past thanks to the work of Slavoljub Eduard Penkala, one of the region's leading inventors of 20th century, in 1906. He patented and started with production of mechanical pencil and in 1907 with the fountain pen.

It is found in areas of still or flowing water in larger rivers from the tidal reaches to far inland and adults are infrequently recordedd in coastal marine waters.
There is also a small bazaar (town) for locals to purchase daily needs and meet neighbor villagers. The bazaar is between Bazi and Chawnai villages. Ab Band people are really poor; they struggle and work at agriculture fields for over 6 months to afford only the harsh winter. The water sources are Kariz's (a trench 4–5 km long underground at the starting point it might be 35 m deep, but the end water reaches to the surface and flows like mesh).
The female pore is prominent and opens to a ciliated vagina located on the ventral body wall immediately anterior to the male gonadopore. Dorsally and laterally to the ovaries lies a pair of testes, which lead posteriorly to the seminal vesicle. The seminal vesicle, which lies just in front of the posterior notch in the body margin, is most prominent, and appears white from contained sperm. It is well-developed and walled by thin, loosely concentric muscles and reaches to a penis papilla.
According to ethnographical studies published in 1912, Llapusha had 44 villages with 231 Serb, 457 Albanian Muslim, 108 Catholic and 14 Muhajir families. Svetozar Raičević studied Metohijski Podgor and Llapusha, publishing preliminary results in 1935. He described that: Podgor takes up the northern part of Metohija and extends from Peć to the village of Rudnik on the road between Peć and Kosovska Mitrovica. Llapusha is south of this region, on the left side of the Drim, and reaches to the Miruša river.

However, this armor is different. It may be either an embossed waist-length leather corslet with a fringed leather apron that reaches to mid-thigh and possible shoulder-guards, very much like that worn by the Peoples of the Sea depicted on the mortuary temple of Ramesses III (died c. 1155 BC) at Medinet Habu, Lower Egypt, or, alternatively, the body armour may be a ‘bell’ corselet of beaten bronze sheet, a type also found in central Europe at that time.
The iconic minaret, which reaches high, was erected during the rule of Sultan Hussein al- Wali in the 15th century. The minaret contains spiral staircase which reaches to the top. It is often compared with the minaret of the Great Mosque of al- Nuri in Mosul, which resembles in the construction date and certain characteristics such as square shaped foundation and cylindrical structure. During the 18th century, the dome of the minaret was damaged during a raid, and it was renovated subsequently after.
The overall vertical distribution of Liguriella podophthalma extends from just below the surface to depths of over 1000m to 1500m. The paralarvae and juveniles of less than 40mm mantle length occur in the upper water colomn to 400m. As they mature they migrate to progressively greater depths, an ontogenetic descent, and this reaches to about 1500 m, the depth at which the largest individual collected to date was recorded, it had a mantle length of 243mm and was a subadult.
Wonder Valley occupies the gently sloping basin between the Sheep Hole Mountains and Bullion Mountains to the north and the Pinto Mountains to the south. Elevations in Wonder Valley range from in the valley's western reaches to near the eastern frontier of population within the valley. The nearest incorporated community is the city of Twentynine Palms, which lies about to the west. State Route 62 and Amboy Road both pass through Wonder Valley; most other roads in the community are unpaved.
For solar observations, filters allow direct observation of the sun. Since the measurement is relative to the horizon, the measuring pointer is a beam of light that reaches to the horizon. The measurement is thus limited by the angular accuracy of the instrument and not the sine error of the length of an alidade, as it is in a mariner's astrolabe or similar older instrument. A sextant does not require a completely steady aim, because it measures a relative angle.
The anal fin has 2 spines and normally has 12 soft rays, its base is shorter in length than the base of the second dorsal-fin. The pectoral fins contain 15 to 18 unbranched rays and its tip almost reaches to the origin of the anal-fin origin, although it is relatively longer in juvenile. There are 7 pectoral filaments the longest being up to 2.5 times the standard length. The caudal fin is deeply forked and neither of its lobs are filamentous.
Angel Cuesta's Legacy Reaches to Spain As a result of the high number of cigar factories in the area, the library had a Spanish-language reading section that cigar factory workers used frequently. English, Spanish, and Italian were spoken in the library because of West Tampa's ethnic diversity at that time. It is one of eleven Carnegie libraries built in Florida. The structure has been listed on the National Register Listing since 1983 and as a Local Historic Designation since 1988.
These are 19th century additions to the structure. A 20th century addition, on the west side of the kitchen, forms an enclosed terrace. This terrace addition reaches to the south wall of the stable/library, helping to create and enclose the hall between the two additions. The double-hung windows on the principal facade on the first and second floors consist of a main panel three by three rectangular panes wide, with sidelight panels two over two vertical rectangular pane wide.

It released me from the conventional and the three-dimensional. It > opened its deepest reaches to me and took me on a journey to a fourth > dimension. I understood the opportunities that clear, transparent glass > gives to an artist and designer. The amoeboid abstraction "Lancet II" of the latter series, an asymmetrical clear-glass vase whose shape is only partly echoed by its hollow center, was selected by the U.S. magazine House Beautiful as "The Most Beautiful Design Object of the Year" 1954.
While the notion of human dependence on Earth's ecosystems reaches to the start of Homo sapiens existence, the term 'natural capital' was first coined by E.F. Schumacher in 1973 in his book Small is Beautiful.Schumacher, E.F (1973). Small is Beautiful: A Study of Economics As If People Mattered. Recognition of how ecosystems could provide complex services to humankind date back to at least Plato (c. 400 BC) who understood that deforestation could lead to soil erosion and the drying of springs.Daily, G.C. 1997.
The tidal range of the lagoon varies from 0.3 m in its upper reaches to 0.8 m at the mouth. Although the lagoon's hydrology is usually dominated by its estuarine nature, during peak flows of the Swan River these are overridden by large quantities of fresh water. During hot, dry weather, salinity levels may reach twice that of seawater in some areas. The lagoon contains areas of both deep and shallow water and is surrounded by tidal mudflats and saltmarsh.
The wooden frame section of the Sloan–Parker House features various sizes and types of doors and windows. In the philosophy of perception, critical realism is the theory that some of our sense-data (for example, those of primary qualities) can and do accurately represent external objects, properties, and events, while other of our sense- data (for example, those of secondary qualities and perceptual illusions) do not accurately represent any external objects, properties, and events. Put simply, critical realism highlights a mind-dependent aspect of the world that reaches to understand (and comes to an understanding of) the mind-independent world.
Analysis of fibres from the core reveal that they are flax; Pausanias noted in the second century CE that the only flax being grown in Greece was to be found around Olympia. His right hand reaches to touch the winner's olive wreath on his head. The powerful head has led viewers to see it as a portrait; the head was cast separately from the lithe body. The athlete's eyes were once inlaid, probably with bone, and his nipples are in contrasting copper.
Most of Lindsayfield has telephony delivered by BT over a passive optical network (TPON). This means most of Lindsayfield can only previously get slow-speed Broadband, of around 1MB connection speed, however, FTTC has now been extended and currently reaches to Cabinet 73, with ongoing work providing additional capacity for the last remaining areas. A partial copper overlay programme was carried out in 2003 to allow some residents of Lindsayfield to receive a copper pair telephone line and thus an ADSL service.
The Pasig River is technically considered a tidal estuary. Toward the end of the summer or dry season (April and May), the water level in Laguna de Bay reaches to a minimum of 10.5 meters. During times of high tide, the water level in the lake may drop below that of Manila Bay's, resulting in a reverse flow of seawater from the bay into the lake. This results in increased pollution and salinity levels in Laguna de Bay at this time of the year.
The Urft Dam in 1911 The Urft dam is a curved gravity dam with its convex side facing upstream and an earth embankment (an Intze Wedge) on the reservoir side that reaches to about half the height of the dam wall. It is situated around 6.8 kilometres, as the crow flies, west-northwest of Gemünd, the northern part of the town of Schleiden in Euskirchen district. The Urft Dam was built between 1900 and 1905. The overall plan for the dam was developed by Prof.
The river's length has been modified, with water resources control projects including the Daxi, Qiantang, Wushi and Sanzhou Dam water gates having been constructed in the main stream. Total reservoir storage capacity is 569 million m3. In addition to Shantou, two county level cities, Jieyang and Jiexi, are very important from an economic point of view. In 1990, water quality in the river could be identified as grade II, III and IV from the upper river reaches to down stream, however this has really deteriorated.
In Arizona, a bandit known as The Cisco Kid robs a stagecoach. Elsewhere along the Cyrenaican coast, the precipice of an arid plateau reaches to the sea. Behind the Marj Plain, the terrain rises abruptly to form Jabal al Akhdar (Green Mountain), so called because of its leafy cover of pine, juniper, cypress, and wild olive. It is a limestone plateau with maximum altitudes of about 900 metres. From Jabal al Akhdar, Cyrenaica extends southward across a barren grazing belt that gives way to the Sahara Desert, which extends still farther southwest across the Chadian frontier.
Continuously, by the end of 1990s the evolution of technology increases rapidly and reaches to 60%, and by the year of 2008 nearly 100% of schools use Internet on educational form. According to ISTE researchers, technological improvements can lead to numerous achievements in classrooms. E-learning system, collaboration of students on project based learning, and technological skills for future results in motivation of students. Although these previous examples only show a few of the positive aspects of technology in society, there are negative side effects as well.
The Guardian gave the Manchester production four stars, saying that it "reaches to the heart of the tragedy of an overreaching intellect destroyed by a deal with a second-rate Mephistopheles". So America's best bet was to remain where they were and focus on the defensive as if they were to attack, they'd instantly face a major loss. Hamilton's finishing statement in Federalist 8 stated that if we were to protect the Union, we'd face years of enjoyment and live stress free as long as States work in harmony to guard each other. Taking the World Wars into perspective demonstrates the extent to which the Federalist Paper reaches to. Words spoken have never been truer, and it's proven beyond the World Wars to the current generation.
The original natural falls had a drop of only about five feet. The impounded water now reaches to the Belle Prairie Rapids, west of the Belle Prairie Church, about 3.5 miles upstream. Along with the Blanchard Dam ten miles downstream, Little Falls Dam was purchased by Minnesota Power during the 1920s. In 1978, automation for Blanchard, along with the Sylvan and Pillager dams on the Crow Wing River, were centralized in Little Falls; this allowed a staff of four to do work that had previously required sixteen operators.

Ferry County reaches to Canada on the north, and to the Columbia River on the east. Its southern portion is in the boundary of the Colville Indian Reservation, controlled by the Colville Confederated Tribes, and its northern portion is largely occupied by Colville National Forest. As a result, only eighteen percent of the total county area is taxable-use ground. The county's economy is largely based on timber-extraction, and mining. Ferry County’s topography and climate make it an ideal recreation destination, so tourism is becoming a significant portion of the county's economy.

For each Q \in S, the directed nature of Q provides for a natural indexing of its vertices from the start to the end of the path. For each vertex v in G_i, we locate the first vertex in Q reachable by v, and the last vertex in Q that reaches to v. That is, we are looking at how early into Q we can get from v, and how far we can stay in Q and still get back to v. This information is stored with each v.

The interior has a higher albedo than the surrounding lunar mare, which is usually an indication of a relatively young crater. A string of craters arc away from the rim to the southeast, which then grade into a straight rille, and were once known as Fossa Archimedes or Archimedes Rille, but now are officially unnamed. The mare to the east has a higher albedo than the surrounding surface, and this lighter-hued surface reaches to the base of the Montes Archimedes. To the southeast of Beer is a lunar dome that is of comparable diameter to the crater.

Women's rights refers to the social and human rights of women. In the United States, the abolition movements sparked an increased wave of attention to the status of women, but the history of feminism reaches to before the 18th century. (See protofeminism.) The advent of the reformist age during the 19th century meant that those invisible minorities or marginalized majorities were to find a catalyst and a microcosm in such new tendencies of reform. The earliest works on the so-called "woman question" criticized the restrictive role of women, without necessarily claiming that women were disadvantaged or that men were to blame.

In the second book, too, although it professes to deal with Bible history only, he has much to say about Plato and philosophers in general. Hamartolus ended his chronicle with the year 842, as a colophon in most manuscripts attests. Various people, among them notably "Symeon Logothetes", who is probably Symeon Metaphrastes, the famous writer of saints' lives (tenth century, see Krumbacher, 358), continued his history to later dates — the longest continuation reaches to 948. In these additions, religious questions are relegated to the background, more attention is devoted to political history, and the language is more popular.

The motion of a wheel set is much more complicated than this analysis would indicate. There are additional restraining forces applied by the vehicle suspension and, at high speed, the wheel set will generate additional gyroscopic torques, which will modify the estimate of the critical speed. Conventionally a railway vehicle has stable motion in low speeds, when it reaches to high speeds stability changes to unstable form. The main purpose of nonlinear analysis of rail vehicle system dynamics is to show the view of analytical investigation of bifurcation, nonlinear lateral stability and hunting behavior of rail vehicles in a tangent track.

This school takes Indonesian ethnic philosophies as its source of inspiration. Its assumption is mythologies, legends, folklores, the way an ethnic group builds its house and holds its ceremonies, literature it keeps, the epics the ethnic group writes, all bases foundation of its philosophy. This 'philosophy' cannot change; it remains the same, from the beginning to the end of the world, and it is also 'the Good'. It guides every member of the group to the origin of group creation on earth (in Javanese, sangkan) and the telos of the life the group reaches to (in Javanese, paran), so the member cannot go astray.

The old Neckar runs through the municipal area, which reaches to the right bank of the present course of the river, in an arc on the right bank, above which lie the residential areas crossed by the Altbach towards the Old arm, while on the flat river island between the runs there are mostly industrial areas of the Neckar valley. The district is rich in springs, and so the community can cover 45% of its drinking water needs from its own wells.
The Damascus Community School laid its foundation with the help of Syria's former foreign minister Salah al-Bitar, who was one of the co-founders of the Baath party. After much controversy between the school and the Syrian government, Damascus Community School, was finally able to obtain full license from the government. However, throughout the decades the school has seen itself become part of a political tug-of-war between the Syrian and American government whenever the relations of the two countries become sour. The school is credited with introducing Valentine’s Day to Syria, as well as many other Universal holidays. Annual tuition reaches to about US$17,000.

With regards to their NRY-Y-DNA haplogroups, the Talysh show salient Near-Eastern affinities, with haplogroup J2, associated with the advent and diffusion of agriculture in the neolithic Near East, found in over 25% of the sample.Nasidze I, Quinque D, et al. (2009). "mtDNA and Y-chromosome variation in the Talysh of Iran and Azerbaijan". American Journal of Physical Anthropology 138 (1): 82–9 Another patriline, haplogroup R1, is also seen to range from 1/4 to up to 1/2, while R1a1, a marker associated with Eastern Indo-European, which includes Indo-Iranian peoples of Central/South Eurasia, only reaches to under 5%, along with haplogroup G.
The mouth forms a deep cleft with the maxilla normally almost half the length of the head. The jaws and teeth are nearly equally developed on both jaws. The upper jaw reaches to below the posterior edge of the lower eye. There are several pairs of moderately large caniform teeth in the anterior parts of both jaws, which are of unequal size and arranged in a single row. These number 5 to 8 in the lower jaw on the eyed side, and 6 to 13 lateral teeth in lower jaw of blind side which are more robust and more widely spaced than those of upper jaw.
The main tributaries of Canoe River and Canoe Reach include Camp Creek, Packsaddle Creek, Dave Henry Creek, Yellowjacket Creek, Bulldog Creek, Ptarmigan Creek, Hugh Allan Creek, Grouse Creek, Windfall Creek, Howard Creek, Foster Creek (flows into Foster Arm), Dawson Creek, and, right at Big Bend, Wood River (flows into Wood Arm). Most of Canoe River, in the form of Canoe Reach, occupies the Rocky Mountain Trench, the same valley as the upper Fraser River and its tributary the McLennan River, which reaches to Valemount. The Canoe River and Camp Creek, one of its main tributaries, drain a region just north and east of the headwaters of the North Thompson River.
It is commonly believed that the Lena derives its name from the original Even-Evenk name Elyu-Ene, which means "the Large River". The river around 1890 According to folktales related a century later, in the years 1620–1623 a party of Russian fur hunters under the leadership of Demid Pyanda sailed up Nizhnyaya Tunguska, discovered the Lena, and either carried their boats there or built new ones. In 1623 Pyanda explored some of the river from its upper reaches to the central Yakutia. In 1628 Vasily Bugor and 10 men reached the Lena, collected 'yasak' (tribute) from the 'natives' and then founded Kirinsk in 1632.
The Tombigbee River is a tributary of the Mobile River, approximately 200 mi (325 km) long, in the U.S. states of Mississippi and Alabama. Together with the Alabama, it merges to form the short Mobile River before the latter empties into Mobile Bay on the Gulf of Mexico. The Tombigbee watershed encompasses much of the rural coastal plain of western Alabama and northeastern Mississippi, flowing generally southward. The river provides one of the principal routes of commercial navigation in the southern United States, as it is navigable along much of its length through locks and connected in its upper reaches to the Tennessee River via the Tennessee- Tombigbee Waterway.
The railroad that runs through Stringtown stretches from south Texas, takes several routes in Oklahoma and Kansas, and reaches to the northern parts of Missouri. The part that runs through Stringtown was built in 1872 and is known now as the Union Pacific Railroad. Stringtown was once home to a sawmill and a cotton gin that had the biggest production rate in the late 1800s. When a fire burnt the town on July 15, 1954, the sawmill and cotton gin burned down, along with half the town, including a café, a jailhouse, a barbershop, a bank, and a hotel. All that was left was Robert’s Store and a few homes.
East of the village center, MD 231 meets MD 5 (Leonardtown Road) at a dumbbell interchange. In the hamlet of Patuxent, the state highway intersects MD 381 (Brandywine Road), which heads north into the southeastern corner of Prince George's County. From Patuxent, MD 231 heads southeast through the neck of far eastern Charles County that reaches to the Patuxent River between Prince George's County and St. Mary's County. Before reaching the river, the state highway passes to the north of the village of Benedict, which was the site of the landing of British troops to march toward Washington prior to the Battle of Bladensburg during the War of 1812.
The Environmental Protection Agency, in cooperation with San Bernardino County, Redlands, and Loma Linda, are working to restore sections of San Timoteo Creek's riparian ecosystem to a close approximation of its natural state, while recognizing it is not possible to restore certain reaches to a pristine condition. San Timoteo Creek is one of the few remaining functional wildlife corridors linking the Santa Ana River and Prado Basins on the west with the San Bernardino, San Gorgonio, and San Jacinto Mountains to the east. San Timoteo is one of the last major drainage systems in the inland area of Southern California with some significant remnants of riparian vegetation and habitat.
The CDP border runs south along Main Street (a dead-end road) to a power line near the Fitzwilliam town line, then comes back north along the South Branch of the Ashuelot all the way to Monadnock Street near the center of town. The eastern edge of the CDP reaches to Dort Street, then follows the South Branch again and the former railroad line back to Marlboro Road. New Hampshire Route 12 is the main road through the community, leading northwest to Keene and southeast to Winchendon, Massachusetts. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Troy CDP has a total area of , all of it recorded as land.
Layout of a spot low- voltage network Spot networks are used when increased reliability of supply is required for important customers. The low-voltage network is supplied from two or more distribution transformers at a single site, each fed from a different MV feeder (which may originate from the same or different substations). The transformers are connected together with a bus or a cable on secondary side, termed paralleling bus or collector bus. The paralleling bus typically does not have connecting cables (reaches) to other network units, in which case such networks are termed isolating spot networks; when they have, they are referred to as spot networks with reach.
The wingspan is about 21 mm for males and 28 mm for females. The forewings are pale fawn, mottled with brown and brownish fuscous, the extreme base of the costa suffused with brownish fuscous scales. A strong group of brown mottlings appears to arise from the dorsum near the base, crossing the fold obliquely outwards and terminating in two patches of brownish fuscous, the one on the cell somewhat diffused, the other narrow and running along the fold. A fascia- form brownish shade, intermixed with brownish fuscous scales, leaves the middle of the costa and, gradually reduced in width, reaches to the dorsum before the tornus.
The Hog's Back has a minimum prominence (drop) of , reaching above sea level, the 24th highest hill in Surrey.Database of British and Irish Hills Retrieved 2015-03-06 Along its course are half panoramas north and south separated by less than viewable from paths alongside the road which runs along the Hog's Back (the A31). The view north includes many towns and villages, including Ash and Aldershot which on a clear day reaches to London, as far as Canary Wharf, Tower 42, The Gherkin, Wembley Arch and Heathrow Airport. The view to the south is unspoilt and has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty as well as a site of special scientific interest.
On clear days the view reaches to the south as far as the Alps, whose northern edge can be seen from the Zugspitze to the Bernese Alps. To the west lies the Black Forest, whose highest points are to be recognized: Feldberg in the southwest and Hornisgrinde in the northwest. At closer hand, the northwestern escarpment of the Swabian Alps (the Albtrauf) up to the Hohenzollern castle is to be seen, in the north the upper Neckar valley, the Schönbuch natural park, and in very good conditions even the Stuttgart TV tower, about 90 km away. Days with good viewing are more frequent in the autumn and winter than in the spring and summer.
The climate in the region belongs to the continental climate, which is characterized by high temperatures and drought in the summer. The temperature reaches its peak in July and August, where more than 30 degrees Celsius on average reaching up to 45 degrees Celsius, which sometimes leads to dust storms when a cold air with moisture coming from Agadir in the west collides with the dry hot air of the semi desert region. During the winter months the temperature drops especially in December and January where a record of less than has been recorded. Precipitation of rain occurs in the winter season, especially in the month of December where it reaches to more than 60 millimeters (2.6 inches).
The area overlaps the South Staffordshire coalfield. Turner's Hill near the heart of the area reaches to 271m above sea level whilst the landscape rises to the 227m high viewpoint of Barr Beacon east of Walsall and, on its southern boundary, to a height of 224m at Wychbury Hill, a northern outlier of the Clent Hills. The area drains to the River Stour to the west, the Penk to the north and eventually to the Tame to the east via numerous tributaries. It is criss- crossed by canals including the Tame Valley Canal, Rushall Canal, Wyrley and Essington Canal, Dudley Canal, Stourbridge Canal, Birmingham Canal, Shropshire Union Canal and Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal.
Bands one and two of the hindwing usually extend beyond the second submedian, band four mostly goes beyond the middle of the cell and sometimes reaches to its hinder margin, the transparent submarginal band has at least in the costal third brownish scales; hindwing more strongly dentate than in Protesilaus glaucolaus leucas. Frons in specimens from the Andes often entirely brownish black. Dorsal edge of the harpe dilated into a tooth, which is sometimes absent in specimens from the Andes. Submarginal spots of the hindwing white, rarely slightly yellowish, hindwing more strongly dentate than in Protesilaus glaucolaus, the first and second bands of the forewing on the whole shorter than in Protesilaus molops.
The Temne started resettling in the northern part of the Pamoronkoh River (today is known as the Rokel River). They followed the Rokel River from its upper reaches to the Sierra Leone River, the giant estuary of the Rokel River, and Port Loko Creek, one of the largest natural harbors in the African continent. This re-settlement remained precarious, as more ethnic groups arrived in the region to escape wars and jihads, and as wars began inside Sierra Leone in the coming years. In the mid 16th century, a Mandé army from the east, referred to as the Mane or Mani, invaded and conquered the Temne lands, with the general Farma Tami becoming the ruler of the Temne.
What the prophets got through the revelation was religion which consists of doctrine and practice or method. He further adds that with passing of the time and gradual development of the society, the gradual development in the revealed law is apparent. By three ways the speech of God reaches to man, by revelation or divine inspiration; behind a veil, man can hear God's speech but can not hear him; or by a messenger, an angel conveys the inspiration to the man. By the verses 72:26–28 two types of guardians protect the integrity of the revelation: an angel who protects the prophet against any kind of error, God who protects the angels and the prophets.
Although UMM officially opened its doors in 1960, the history of what became the current institution reaches to 1887. That year, the first building of the Morris Industrial School for Indians, an American Indian boarding school, was constructed on the site and run by the Roman Catholic Sisters of Mercy under contract to the US government. Beginning in 1898, the Office of Indian Affairs (today's Bureau of Indian Affairs) took over operations to introduce a more progressive curriculum. The school closed in 1909, under a congressionally authorized program to reduce the number of boarding schools in preference for locating schools on reservations, so that families and communities would not be broken up.
This leads, particularly in the lower reaches, to the drying up of many springs as well as to the death of the gallery vegetation. Due to agricultural practices, erosion has greatly increased, so that more and more valuable ground is lost and the intensity of the Swakop floods increases. The uranium mines, such as the Langer Heinrich mine in the lower reaches of the Swakop, and the Rössing Mine at Khan, not only use enormous quantities of water that further lowers the water table. In addition, it is also often claimed that radioactive dust across the Khan gets into the Swakop, and therefore the vegetables cultivated there are contaminated by radioactive materials.
As Defilak, Gar, and Idris use the chance to escape from Pridak and his sharks; Ehlek and Carapar take the opportunity to snoop around Pridak's lair, where they find a newcomer to the Pit - the mutated Brutaka. Takadox tries to hypnotize the eel into submission, but it becomes distracted by sounds in a long cord of stone that reaches to the surface and it knocks Takadox far away. Dekar, now with a healthy respect for the mask, cautiously touches it and is given a vision of its history, along with the revelation that the Pit's waters are eroding it away and damaging it. By this time, Pridak has gathered the Barraki, with Brutaka in place of the missing Takadox.

He also started writing his own history of Moravia, although this work only reaches to 1306. Monse became a member of the learned societies of Hesse-Homburg (1780), Burghausen (1782) and Prague (1785). (He was lawyer- member in the first two societies, and a historian-member of the Prague society.) He was also in frequent contact with other figures of enlightenment in Habsburg Monarchy, such as Riegger and Josef Dobrovský and many others. In 1782 the first Archbishop of Olomouc Antonín Theodor Colloredo-Waldsee enforced relocation of the University back to Olomouc by decree of Emperor Joseph II. At the same time the institution lost its university status, becoming a mere three-year Lyceum.

The Asbät gate is located on the northern wall of the Haram al-Sharif and it is in the double gateway also, it is almost directly opposite Ahwab Mihrab Mariam. The entrance to the gate is impressively decorated. There has the single opening of a semicircular arch with a distinctive 45-degree chamfer and segmental inner arch at the part of the gate that has reached the present time, also the masonry of the wall shows that there are two gates because 1.20 meters of the gate wall reaches to the west side. According to Ratrout, the Early Muslim architecture of Bab al-Asbät and its dimensions coincide with those of Bab al- Hashmi.
As she reaches to wipe food from her face he violently grabs her hand and tells her to stay still and then despatches the three samurai who charge at them. Arriving at the next town Mitsu asks him to come with her so she can meet her family and when he is reluctant she gets him to confess that if he doesn't leave her now he will be unable to ever let her go which pleases her before he says he is joking. Even as she is sitting in her palanquin she begs him to visit. Sitting on a boat Ichi overhears that the two bosses are going to fight as Boss Hikozo has arrived home.
With the exception of a tiny section of two of the streams at the source of the river, its entire course lies within the jurisdiction of the Witham Third District Internal Drainage Board. The upper reaches, to below Snarford Bridge and most of the tributaries below that are maintained by the Drainage Board. The main channel below Snarford is a designated main river and is the responsibility of the Environment Agency. The Board was originally constituted by an Act of Parliament passed in 1762, which created six drainage districts, with responsibility for Draining and Preserving certain Low Lands, called the Fens, lying on both Sides of the River Witham, in the County of Lincoln.
Dome The stature of Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral is architecturally conveyed by the inclusion of a prominent dome, the significance of which was described by the architect: The 162-ton copper-clad ribbed dome was constructed on the ground and lifted into place via crane in a remarkable feat by the contractor. A decorative finial and a cross embellish the top of the dome, which reaches to a total height of 173 feet above the ground. The drum of the dome, adorned with a range of paired Corinthian columns and entablature and sixteen arched windows, is located directly above the sanctuary platform below it. The dome is composed of an inner and outer shell, with a cavity between them.
The Sannine project reaches to Lebanon's capital, Beirut Skiing Slopes The Northern part of the site equipped with the most appropriate skiing slopes, will be completely dedicated to skiing activities and preserved as virgin land. Offering a variety of skiing activities the ski slopes will extend their pleasures with slopes ranging from those for beginners to those for advanced skiing, for cross-country skiing and for snowboarding and from elevations ranging from 2,000 meters of altitude to 2,500 meters of altitude. A technical study was conducted to test the viability of the ski slopes and to assess the technical feasibility of skiing on the site. These studies also revealed that the length and slope variety of Sannine Zenith Lebanon are comparable to international ski resorts worldwide.
The sorcerer Derezong Taash, in the service of King Vuar the Capricious of Lorsk, is ordered to steal a magical gem from the temple of the goddess Tandyla in Lotri. The jewel is set as an eye in the goddess's statue. Together with his apprentice Zhamel Seh, Taash undertakes the errand, which goes suspiciously well; its guardians almost seem to want it stolen, while the gem itself appears to want to stay with him. With a sense of foreboding, Taash decides he must return his prize to the temple while tricking the king into thinking he has truly supplied it, thus becoming unwittingly embroiled in a plot against the throne that reaches to the very heart of the royal family.
At the heart of this deadly scenario: Luz, her sword Malefic and her many questions are the protagonist of the story. The project brings several books with paintings, illustrations and scripts of international circulation, the book Malefic Time, Apocalypse is presented in the Barcelona Comic Fair published by Norma Editorial. Later the book will also be edited by Bragelonne (France), Rizzoli Lizard (Italy), Cross Cult (Germany) ... and presented in other fairs like the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Guadalajara International Book Fair. Other formats that the project reaches to are the Apocalypse Codex novel written by Jesus Vilches, manga Soum by Kenny Ruiz and the rock band Avalanch that composed an album of characters and sequences of the universe Malefic Time.
O'Donnell was succeeded by Jeremy Heywood as Cabinet Secretary, Bob Kerslake as Head of the Home Civil Service and Permanent Secretary at the Department for Communities and Local Government and Ian Watmore as lastly, Cabinet Office Permanent Secretary. The responsibilities of the job vary from time to time and depend very much on the personal qualities of both the Prime Minister and Cabinet Secretary of the day. In most cases the true influence of the Cabinet Secretary extends far beyond administrative matters, and reaches to the very heart of the decision making process. For instance, the Cabinet Secretary is responsible for administering the Ministerial Code which governs the conduct of ministers (also known as the Rule Book and formerly Questions of Procedure for Ministers).
Inside the chest are three jewels colored red, blue and green. Scott would shake up the chest just to mix up the jewels, after which he opened it up again and then the audience member reached into the chest and pulled out a jewel; whatever jewel he or /she pulled out, that's when the player moved to the closest circle that matches the jewel. Each time a player stepped to the next circle, he/she received a treasure bag good for $10,000 ($5,000 in the second season). When the player reaches to the point where he/she may reach a plain chest, that player would then place the treasure bags to the chest he/she thought would land on other than the jackpot chest.
The Blythe has a wide range of natural geographical features such as riffles, pools, small cliffs and meanders, combined with a high diversity of substrate types ranging from fine silt and clay in the lower reaches to sands and gravels in the upper and middle reaches. The structure of this river is very variable and diverse, and is important as a rare example of such in lowland Britain. The old Packhorse Bridge, south of Hampton-in-Arden, crossing the River Blythe The diverse physical features of the Blythe are matched by its diverse plant communities. Botanically, the Blythe is one of the richest rivers in lowland England, with the most species-rich sections containing as many species as the very richest chalk streams.
These four river basins occupy the greater part of the lower plateaus of North and West Africa — the remainder consists of arid regions watered only by intermittent streams that do not reach the sea. Of the remaining rivers of the Atlantic basin, the Orange, in the extreme south, brings the drainage from the Drakensberg on the opposite side of the continent, while the Kunene, Kwanza, Ogowe and Sanaga drain the west coastal highlands of the southern limb; the Volta, Komoe, Bandama, Gambia and Senegal the highlands of the western limb. North of the Senegal, for over of coast, the arid region reaches to the Atlantic. Farther north are the streams, with comparatively short courses, reaching the Atlantic and Mediterranean from the Atlas mountains.
The wingspan is 21–23 mm. The forewings are sandy ochraceous, becoming white toward the apex, with oblique shades of mixed ochreous and greyish brown coming from the costa—the first, at one-fourth from the base, short and broken, terminating in a spot of black scales on the disc. The second, about the middle, somewhat more emphasised, and accompanied by small groups of black scales tending in the direction of an elongate black scale-patch, which reaches to the termen a little below the middle. The third costal shade, arising at about three-fourths, tends outward to below the apex, but is separated by the white ground colour, which also appears between the three oblique shades on the costa itself.
Aristeas narrates in the course of his poem that he was "wrapt in Bacchic fury" when he travelled to the north and saw the Arimaspians, as reported by Herodotus: > This Aristeas, possessed by Phoibos, visited the Issedones; beyond these (he > said) live the one-eyed Arimaspoi, beyond whom are the Grypes that guard > gold, and beyond these again the Hyperboreoi, whose territory reaches to the > sea. Except for the Hyperboreoi, all these nations (and first the Arimaspoi) > are always at war with their neighbors.Herodotus 4.13.1 Arimaspi and griffins remained stock images associated with the outlands of the north: the Aeschylan Prometheus Bound (ca 415 BC?), describing the wanderings of Io, notes that she is not to pass through the north, among the Arimaspi and griffins, but southward.
His principal inspiration for Din of Celestial Birds came from silent films such as Jean Cocteau's Blood of a Poet (1930), Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927), and the works of the Lumière brothers. He intended the short as a depiction of "creation in its simplest and purest form". Focusing on the theory of evolution instead of religion and mythology, the film opens with the text that reads: "Hello and welcome ... do not be afraid ... be comforted ... remember ... our origin...", followed by images depicting the Big Bang. Then, after a hyper-accelerated trip through the evolution of life and the Earth, it culminates in the birth of an embryonic pseudo-humanoid called the Son of Light (Stephen Charles Barry) that reaches to some unknown source.
After Xavier is saved, he mentally links with her and reveals to Apocalypse that he is not the most powerful psychic, and convinces Jean to unleash the full extent of her powers. Her eyes glowing with fiery light, the powerful young Mutant walks through midair and within a matter of seconds, a massive burst of telekinetic energy (combined with fire generated by Magneto piling metal into Apocalypses' shields) explode outward from within Jean's body, almost instantaneously taking the shape of a great, fiery bird. Her powerful telekinesis dispels Apocalypse's shield, and aided with Cyclops, Storm and Magneto, they weaken the Apocalypse altogether. Until finally, as she gets more powerful, the fire reaches to Apocalypse's physical body, and she incinerates Apocalypse before calming down.
The summit area and unenclosed upper slopes of Titterstone Clee, along with Clee Hill to its south, were mapped as 'open country' under the provisions of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 and thereby freely available to walkers. There is in addition a dense network of footpaths and bridleways running both across the unenclosed land and also the enclosed farmland surrounding the hill. Some connect from the A4117 Cleobury Mortimer to Ludlow road which runs east-west across Clee Hill Common's southern flanks (reaching a height of above sea level at its highest point) though a minor public road reaches to the upper parts of the hill where there are parking areas. Thus Titterstone Clee is popular with walkers and picnickers, but much less so than nearby hills such as the Long Mynd.
The lower edge of the clearly defined pale costal band is somewhat sinuous and narrowly margined with whitish. At one-third from the apex is a pale straw-coloured transverse streak, or narrow fascia, which reaches to the dorsal margin immediately before the anal angle, where it is somewhat dilated. This fascia is much attenuated (almost interrupted) below the costal band, with which it becomes blended, it is narrowly margined on both sides by a whitish line. There is a pale whitish narrow sinuous line which runs from the anal angle around the apical margin and there are four or five small greyish fuscous costal spots in the pale costal band, and a series of spots of the same colour running down the centre of the transverse fascia.
The surrise of the winter solstice occurs in a "key" point from Chena's ushnu: the intersection of the most nearby horizon (Chena's cord) and of the most distant (mountain chain of the Coast). In addition, in this precise direction one finds the summit of the highest hill (1.166 msnm) that reaches to the south of the Cuesta Zapata.map IGM Santiago 3300-7030 to scale 1:250.000 This detail might not be a coincidence, but a topographic important requirement, due to the association known about the high hills with the worship to the water in several culturesBroda, J. 1991 Cosmovisión y observación de la naturaleza: el ejemplo del culto de los cerros en Mesoamérica. Arthur hence learns that Saturday (as Dame Primus suspected in Lady Friday) has deliberately destroyed the Lower House and Far Reaches to stunt the growth of the Drasil trees that lift Sunday's realm higher than Saturday can build. She believes that even if the rest of the House is destroyed, the Incomparable Gardens will remain. Dame Primus wishes for Arthur to fortify the rest of the House against the influx of Nothing, but is reluctantly convinced to split herself into two (Dame Quarto and Dame Septum) to administer the House while Arthur seizes the last Keys from Saturday and Sunday. Before she splits, Dame Primus tells Arthur that the Nothing which had destroyed the Far Reaches and Lower House cannot be held off for ever unless the Seventh Key is recovered.
The volcano lies in the Andes of southern Peru, northwest of Arequipa and north of the Arequipa Airport; the city of Arequipa is situated on the foot of Chachani and El Misti volcanoes. The road from Arequipa to Chivay runs along the southeastern foot of Chachani, and a dirt road reaches to an elevation of . It is considered to be one of the most easily climbed mountains between 6,000 - 7,000 m high, although acclimatization and good physical health are required to ascend it. Volcanoes in the southern part of Peru include from north to south Auquihuato, Firura, Coropuna, Andagua volcanic field, Sabancaya, Ampato, Chachani, El Misti, Pichu Pichu, Ubinas which has erupted intermittently since 1954, Huaynaputina where a large eruption occurred in 1600, Ticsani, Tutupaca, Yucamane and Casiri.
Though in a semiconductor such as Si saturation velocity of a carrier is same as the peak velocity of the carrier, for some other materials with more complex energy band structures, this is not true. In GaAs or InP for example the carrier drift velocity reaches to a maximum as a function of field and then it begins to actually decrease as the electric field applied is increased further. Carriers which have gained enough energy are kicked up to a different conduction band which presents a lower drift velocity and eventually a lower saturation velocity in these materials. This results in an overall decrease of current for higher voltage until all electrons are in the "slow" band and this is the principle behind operation of a Gunn diode, which can display negative differential resistivity.
Georg Walch issuing Eine Geschichte der Reigionsstreitigkeiten innerhalb und ausserhalb der evangelisch-lutherischen Kirche in two parts, each comprising five volumes (Jena, 1733-9) while his son Christian Wilhelm published a lengthy ketzergeschichte, whose eleventh volume reaches to the Iconoclasts (Leipzig, 1762–85). The latter also wrote a Religionsgeschichte der neuesten Zeit, beginning with Clement XIV (to which Planck added three volumes), a Historie der Kirchenversammlungen (Leipzig, 1759), and a Historic der röm. Päpste (Göttingen, 1758). The major Lutheran work on general church history is that of J. Mathias Schröckh, a pupil of Mosheim and a professor at Wittenberg: Christliche Kirchengeschichte bis zur Reformation in thirty-five volumes (Leipzig, 1768–1803), continued as Kirchengeschichte seit der Reformation in eight volumes (Leipzig, 1803-8), to which Tzschirmer added two others (1810–12).
From here, we have to cross 7 hills and after a walk of 2–3 hours, we reach the temple of Harishchandreshwar, the temple of Lord Shiva. Also there is one interesting short route if one has to skip the seven hills. By this route, you can reach the temple in 1 hour instead of 2 hours through seven hills but this route goes through very very dense forests hence if you are in group of many people, this route can be tried. After climbing the rock patch from the Tolar Khind, follow the usual trek route going ahead and at one point, you will encounter two ways one to the right goes to the temple through seven hills and the straight one goes below the Balekilla (citadel) through very dense forests and this route reaches to the seventh mountain directly.
Körborn lies in the headwaters of the Mühlbach, which rises on the plateau north of the town of Kusel, flows out of a broad hollow in a narrow, steep valley southeastwards to the Kuselbach. Towards the north, the municipal area stretches rather a long way to the houses of the little village of the Breitsesterhof (an outlying centre of Baumholder), while towards the south, the municipality's administrative area reaches to a point near Diedelkopf (an outlying centre of Kusel). In the east-west direction, it broadens out only slightly, but jutting out from the built-up area are two bulges. The western one reaches right out to Castle Lichtenberg (although this lies just outside Körborn's limits in Thallichtenberg), while the eastern one runs along the so-called Roman road towards the Mayweilerhof (an outlying centre of Oberalben).
Paris's first "embarcadère" train station, the predecessor to the gare Saint-Lazare, appeared from 1837 as a home for the novelty Paris- à-Saint-Germain local line. Over the next ten years France's developing rail network would give Paris five (including the Saint-Lazare station) national railway stations and two suburban lines, and from 1848 Paris would become the designated centre of an "Étoile" (star) spider-web of rail with reaches to (and through) all of France's borders. This pattern is still very visible in France's modern railway map. As far as national and European destinations are concerned, rail transport is beginning to outdistance air travel in both travel time and efficiency. The still-developing SNCF's TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) network, since its birth in 1981, brings France's most southerly Marseille only 3 hours from the capital.
Body compressed; dorsal scales very large, about three times as large as the median ventrals, smooth, pointing backwards and upwards; ventrals strongly keeled; 36 to 43 scales round the middle of the body; gular sac: small; scales on either side of the lower jaw feebly keeled, larger than the ventrals, those on the gular pouch smaller, more strongly keeled about as large as the ventrals. A short oblique fold or pit in front of the shoulder covered with small granular scales. Nuchal and dorsal crests continuous, the former well developed, composed of about 12 lanceolate spines, the longest of which is nearly as long as the orbit: on the back the crest is much lower. Limbs moderate; third and fourth fingers nearly equal; fourth toe a little longer than the third; the hind limb reaches to the tympanum or not quite so far.

The first part is a sequel to what is called the Flores Temporum, a well-known chronicle of the world's history compiled by a Swabian Franciscan, and reaches to the year 1343; it was probably compiled by an unknown writer about 1346 or 1347. The second part is a history of the twenty years from 1343 to 1363. Its author was the magister Heinrich Taub, or Heinrich der Taube (Heinrich the Deaf), or Henricus Surdus of Selbach, who officiated as chaplain at St. Willibald's in Eichstätt and died about 1364. Practically nothing has been learned of his life. We only know that he journeyed to Rome in 1350, for the purpose of gaining the jubilee indulgence, and that in 1361 in Nuremberg he admired the crown jewels then exhibited in honour of the christening of the newborn imperial prince, Wenceslaus.
So he immediately settles her marriage with Aadhi The Best Jockey (Thakur Anoop Singh). 1st Legislative District Map, 2012-22 Washington's 1st Legislative District is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. The T-shaped district is mostly north of the borders of King and Snohomish counties, stretching from High Bridge Road and Broadway Avenue in the east through the entirety of the cities of Bothell and Brier to I-5 in Mountlake Terrace in the west, though the district sweeps south of Bothell to part of Kirkland and reaches to Lake Washington. The district is currently represented in the State House by Davina Duerr (D) and Shelley Kloba (D), and in the State Senate by Derek Stanford (D). After Guy Palumbo's resignation from the State Senate in May 2019, the King and Snohomish County Councils jointly appointed Derek Stanford (formerly House Representative) and Davina Duerr (Deputy Mayor of Bothell) to their current positions.
The caller (claims to be a well-wisher and informer) informs CM that some the members from his own party are secretively planning to remove him from his chair. The phone call changes the political scenario in the state and many activities start taking place behind the curtains. CM obviously doubts the Finance Minister of the state (Shriram Lagoo) who has started gathering the support of MLAs for trying to pose himself as a better candidate for a Chief Ministerial Post. In this chaos, certain factors like Media (Nilu Phule – Digambar - A journalist), a Union Leader named D’casta who has decided to take head on with smugglers (see a young Nana Patekar – a small time criminal) gain high bargaining power. The struggle for the power reaches to the peak when CM deals with the issues like Hunger strike, worker’s strike, famine and deaths due to malnutrition.
To fit oneself for gloves, measure all around the hand at the widest part of the palm where the knuckles are, but excluding the thumb. The measurement in inches is the glove size, but if one's arms are large, it may be practical to go up a size. Generally, an evening glove is considered to be a true "opera-length" glove if it reaches to mid-biceps or higher on the wearer's arm, notwithstanding its actual length in inches or buttons; therefore, a petite woman might find a glove with a measurement of 16 or 17 inches adequate for the purpose, while a tall woman might need a glove longer than 22 inches. The "elbow-length or longer" part is the key; gloves which cover a substantial portion of the forearm, up to just below the elbow, can legitimately be called "long gloves" or "evening gloves", but never "Opera Gloves".
The Pontine Marshes (, also ; , formerly also Paludi Pontine; by Titus Livius,History of Rome, 6.5.2. Pomptina Palus (singular) and Pomptinae Paludes (plural) by Pliny the ElderNatural History 3.59.Natural History 26.9.) is an approximately quadrangular area of former marshland in the Lazio Region of central Italy, extending along the coast southeast of Rome about from just east of Anzio to Terracina (ancient Tarracina), varying in distance inland between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Volscian Mountains (the Monti Lepini in the north, the Monti Ausoni in the center, and the Monti Aurunci in the south) from The northwestern border runs approximately from the mouth of the river Astura along the river and from its upper reaches to Cori in the Monti Lepini. The former marsh is a low tract of mainly agricultural land created by draining and filling, separated from the sea by sand dunes.
The perspective of the plurality of philosophies Philosophy is discussed in his book 'Heaven and the Forest (Beyond Pluralism)' - Le Ciel et la Forêt (Au-delà du pluralisme) (2000) which shows that there is only a restricted and non- contradictory plurality of acceptable points of view, with a common reference given by the tradition of classical thought that culminates in Thomism. He defends the idea that such a plurality reaches to unity thanks to the divine perspective. This book is completed by an examination of the rationality of faith and its legitimate contribution to philosophy with 'Philosophy of Faith' - Philosophie de la foi (2015). In religious matters proper, he addressed the question of the plurality of religions and the central role of Christianity in Volume II of 'Heaven and the Forest (Christianity and Other Religions)' - Le Ciel et la Forêt (Le christianisme et les autres religions) (2000).
A spokesperson for the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, which sometimes handles height disputes, stated that it would be unlikely for the garage to be included in the official height because many would not consider it to be an integral part of the building's design. It is unclear if the height of the Capella Tower reaches to the top of the "halo" surrounding the screen walls (walls designed to hide cooling towers on the roof), so the height of the flat roof might be somewhat shorter, or that building might similarly be able to add to its height by including the additional structure. Presently, the IDS is considered to be taller than the former First Bank Tower. It is also important to note that height measurements are sometimes incorrectly reported due to conversion from U.S. customary units to the metric system and back again.
Lee spoke about her experiences at a TED conference in Long Beach, California, in February 2013. The YouTube video of her talk has received over 12 million views. In May 2013, Lee appeared on an Australian TV program on which she was reunited with the stranger who had helped her in Vientiane in 2009, Australian Dick Stolp. "I was really happy," said Lee. "He says, ‘I’m not a hero,’ but I say he is a modern hero." Stolp said: "You help a small hand and it reaches to other hands and you think, ‘That’s great, that’s good stuff.’…I’m meeting someone who is now doing good things, and inside I can’t help but feel ‘Hey! I helped this lady to go out and change her life.’" She has been interviewed by the BBC, CNN, CBS News, and many other TV and radio outlets around the world.
The forewings are shining white, with the apex, one costal, and two dorsal oblique streaks, greyish brown. The first dorsal streak commences at one-fourth from the base, is short, stout, outwardly oblique, and reaches to the fold. The second dorsal streak commences about the middle of the dorsal margin, is wide at its base, tapering upwards in a very oblique outward direction, crossing the fold, and attenuated to a slender line in the direction of the apex, before which it meets the scarcely less oblique but much shorter costal streak, which commences at about one-third from the apex. Beyond and near the costal streak is a greyish brown shade extending to the apex and at the extreme apex is a dark brown spot narrowly set in white, to which two slender greyish brown streaks running through the white apical cilia give an eye-like effect.
The forewings are light greyish yellow, slightly brownish toward the tip and with blackish brown longitudinal lines from the base to the apex, following the veins and becoming heavier and more blackish toward the apex. Three short more pronounced heavy black longitudinal lines independent of the others are very conspicuous and are found, although modified, in all the varieties. The first and shortest at the base just within the dorsal margin, the second on the fold, also starting more or less clearly from the base, but reaching its characteristic thickness and tone outside the first line and ending as a heavy line just before the middle of the wing, though after continued as one of the general thin lines to the dorsal apical edge. The third line is midway between the fold and the costal edge and begins at the middle of the wing and reaches to the end of the cell, also continued as one of the fainter lines from the base to the apex.
The first upper molar (M1) was described as square by De BruijnDe Bruijn, 1998, p. 111 and as rounded by Prieto and Böhme. There are five main transverse crests, which are mostly isolated, but some may be connected on the borders of the teeth.De Bruijn, 1998, pp. 111–113; Prieto and Böhme, 2007, pp. 303–304 The middle crest, the centroloph, reaches to the labial (outer) margin in the single known M1 of S. bolligeri, but does not in any of the five M1 of S. alpinus.Prieto, 2009, p. 377 The front crest, the anteroloph, is less distinct in S. bolligeri than most S. alpinus, but one M1 of S. alpinus is similar to that of S. bolligeri. M1 has three roots in S. alpinus, but the number of roots in S. bolligeri is not known.Prieto and Böhme, 2007, p. 304 Prieto and Böhme describe M2 as less rounded than M1 and De Bruijn notes that the crests are more parallel.De Bruijn, 1998, p.
Benedict XVI in 2005 deviated from tradition in replacing the tiara with the mitre and pallium (see Coat of arms of Pope Benedict XVI). The two keys have been given the interpretation of representing the power to bind and to loose on earth (silver) and in heaven (gold), in reference to : :"You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." The gold key signifies that the power reaches to heaven and the silver key that it extends to all the faithful on earth, the interlacing indicating the linking between the two aspects of the power, and the arrangement with the handles of the keys at the base symbolizes that the power is in the hands of the pope.
In 1816 the Duchy of Nassau and the Kingdom of Prussia agreed to expand the Lahn as far as Giessen, where it joined the Grand Duchy of Hesse. Little is known about the work that followed, but in the 1825 boatmen on the Lahn who shipped mineral water from springs in Selters and Fachingen addressed a letter of appreciation to the Nassau government in Wiesbaden for the rehabilitation of river systems. Overall, however, there seems to have been only repairs and temporary works accomplished through the 1830s. The earliest attempts to count ship traffic on the Lahn dated from 1827. At the lock at Runkel, 278 vessels were counted in that year, with the state government of Nassau explicitly pointing out that most of the river traffic travelled from the mouth to Limburg, or with smaller boats from the upper reaches to Weilburg, and only a small part passed Runkel. In 1833, however, 464 vessels were counted.
This open room occupies the central core of the house and is characterised by the tall Georgian window that reaches to the ceiling at the top of the house and lights the main staircase that allows access to the first and second floors. As with the other rooms in the house, groundwork in this room was confined to the reduction of floor levels for new floor supports and services. This work revealed a continuation of the 17th- century cobbled floor already exposed in the Great Hall, with evidence of a small room, possible a storage room and an access corridor that appears to have been gained from a flight of wooden stairs from the Service Hall. Another feature exposed during ground-works was a short length of wall with an internal plastered face, which appears to have been used at a later date in the late 17th and early 18th centuries as a support wall for the main staircase.
Let us remove the first and the last files and the ranks that are occupied by rooks (since the number of ranks is even, the removed rooks cannot stand on the same rank). This will give a board of 2n − 2 files and 2n − 2 ranks. It is clear that to each symmetric arrangement of rooks on the new board corresponds a symmetric arrangement of rooks on the original board. Therefore, G2n = 2nG2n − 2 (the factor 2n in this expression comes from the possibility for the first rook to occupy any of the 2n squares on the first file). By iterating the above formula one reaches to the case of a 2 × 2 board, on which there are 2 symmetric arrangements (on the diagonals). As a result of this iteration, the final expression is G2n = 2nn! For the usual chessboard (8 × 8), G8 = 24 × 4! = 16 × 24 = 384 centrally symmetric arrangements of 8 rooks.
The wingspan is 13–14 mm. The forewings are lilac grey, with pale yellow bands and spots enclosing patches of yellowish brown these are distributed as follows: a yellow patch at the base is produced along the upper edge of the cell, emitting an ocelloid patch with brown centre which reaches to the dorsum at one-fourth, a central band of yellow encloses a small triangular brown spot on the costa and a larger dorsal spot slightly beyond it, a yellow spot lying between this and a third yellow band, crossing the wing before the costal cilia and enclosing an elongate brown patch and a small costal spot. Beyond this a brown costal spot occurs at the commencement of the costal cilia and is followed by a chain-like, wavy line, of brown around the apex and termen which is inwardly margined with yellow. A small yellow patch lies across the apical veins beyond the end of the cell, sometimes enclosing brown specks.
The comparative studies between Kadivar's approach of reforming in Islamic thought and other Shi'a thinkers reaches to these concluding remarks: There are three approaches to the discussion of compatibility of Islam (or more precisely Shari’a and fiqh) with modernity among Muslim Shi’i thinkers in the recent century and a half in Iran. Although the Constant and Variable Perspective of in its different expositions by Na’ini, Allama Tabataba’i and Seyyed Muhammad Baqir Sadr, is the most famous perspective of the compatibility of Islam and modernity, it has four serious problems. Ayatollah Khomeini's Perspective of Governmental or Expedient Fiqh, which is the official policy of Islamic Republic of Iran, aside from its flexibility, encounters four problems. The Perspective of Islam as an End in Itself is the third approach that the Kadivar argues has four advantages. It has the capacity of giving a new interpretation of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) in the modern world based on the spirit of Islam and the goals of the Qur’an, tradition of Prophet (Sunna) and his household (Ahl al- Bayt).
The forewings have a leaden grey basal patch, merging outwardly into tawny purplish fuscous, which reaches to one-third and is bounded on the costa by a cuneiform white costal streak, while from its lower half it sends obliquely upward a sharp steel-grey tooth-like projection into the deep brownish orange band which succeeds it. From each extremity of the white costal streak a dark steel-grey point also projects outward and the broad orange band into which these project is bounded a little beyond the middle of the wing by a rather oblique bright steel-grey fascia, narrowly margined on either side by black, and rather wider on the dorsum than on the costa. This again is succeeded by a deep reddish orange fascia, narrower than the preceding orange band, but somewhat produced outward on the dorsum. Above this dorsal extension is a deep blackish patch extending to the costa and produced outward nearly to the apex, this contains a pair of rather converging silvery white costal streaks and a small spot of steel-grey towards its lower extremity, the space beyond it to the apex and termen, including the cilia, being rich shining purple.
The town is located at a point at which the river Ticino, which has been flowing in a generally southerly direction, makes a turn to the west, to flow through the wide Piona di Magadino before entering the Lake Maggiore, and after it finally reaches to the Italian Po Valley and Lombardy. Upstream, several valleys reach into the high Alps, with access to northern Switzerland over or through the Passo del San Gottardo via the Valle Leventina, the upper valley of the Ticino, and further to the west with access to the Valais over the Nufenen Pass via the Val Bedretto, and access to the Grisonian Surselva of the Anterior Rhine via the Valle di Blenio over the Lukmanier Pass. The river Moesa, running down the Valle Mesolcina from the San Bernardino Pass with access to the Gresionian valley Rheinwald of the Posterior Rhine, joins the Ticino on the northern boundary of the town. To the south the Monte Ceneri Pass crosses the Lugano Prealps to give access to Lake Lugano and an alternate route to Lombardy, whilst the San Jorio Pass provides a possible route east to the upper Lake Como.
