Hunt) on July 10, 1913, in Colchester, Essex, England; and died on August 25, 2007 in Santa Barbara, California. She made her screen debut in Borrowed Clothes (1934) as well as a number of small parts in some of Alfred Hitchcock's early movies. Many Ordovician, Silurian, and Devonian agnathians were armoured with heavy, bony, and often elaborately sculpted plates derived from mineralized scales. The first armoured agnathans—the Ostracoderms, precursors to the bony fish and hence to the tetrapods (including humans)—are known from the middle Ordovician, and by the Late Silurian the agnathans had reached the high point of their evolution. Most of the ostracoderms, such as thelodonts, osteostracans, and galeaspids, were more closely related to the gnathostomes than to the surviving agnathans, known as cyclostomes. Cyclostomes apparently split from other agnathans before the evolution of dentine and bone, which are present in many fossil agnathans, including conodonts.

Rush played college football at Miami University, then competed for one season in the National Football League (NFL) with the Green Bay Packers in 1953. From there, Rush received a strong coaching education, with collegiate stints at the University of Dayton (under Hugh Devore), Ohio State University (under Woody Hayes), and the University of Oklahoma (under Bud Wilkinson). In 1960, he accepted the head coaching position at the University of Toledo, but left after three losing seasons. Rush then became an assistant with the New York Jets of the American Football League in 1963, serving as the main architect of the team's high-powered offense that was later led by Joe Namath. As offensive coordinator, he reached the high point of his career when he mapped the Jets' game plan as they upset the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III on January 12, 1969.

After a 22nd-place finish at Pro Tour Chicago, Hoaen reached the high point of his career when he made the top eight of Pro Tour Yokohama, losing in the quarterfinals to number one seed and eventual champion Mattias Jorstedt. About a month later, Hoaen won a spot on the Canadian national team, finishing 3rd at Canadian nationals. Hoaen rounded out the season with unimpressive finishes at worlds, both individually and with the national team. Over two years that followed, Hoaen established himself as one of the most dominant limited players on the Pro Tour. His results at limited Pro Tours in the 2003–04 and 2005 seasons were 10th at Pro Tour Amsterdam, finishing just one match point short of the top eight, 12th at Pro Tour San Diego, 11th at Pro Tour Nagoya, missing the top eight on tie- breakers on both occasions, and 20th at Pro Tour London missing the elimination rounds by a win and a draw.

Prior to his career as a strongman competitor, Girard worked as a bouncer in a popular Quebec City nightclub on weekends while attending community college. In the early 1990s, he went to Los Angeles in order to either pursue a career as a professional bodybuilder or as an actor. After a few months, Girard came back to the province of Quebec where he was later hired as a police officer for the city of Gatineau. Girard focused on Strongman competition, and became a 6-time consecutive finalist in the World's Strongest Man competition from 1998-2004. Girard's highest placing was 4th place at the 1999 World's Strongest Man contest. In 2002 Girard reached the high point of his career to date, winning the 2002 Strongman Super Series overall title. Girard has also won the World Muscle Power Championships 4 times, in 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2004. Girard dominated strongman competition in Canada for several years.
