Today, Christian Guzman MBA, Melissa Dee-Guzman, Dr. Christopher Mark R. Guzman, an ortho-surgeon, Dr. Charles Ronald R. Guzman, Internist-lung specialist, Dr. Aileen, a pediatrician, attorneys Cristina Guzman-Natividad, Jose Eduardo L. Natividad and Olivia Olalia-Guzman, children of the founders, are second generation medical practitioners and legal counsels of the institutions. In October 2010, the beginnings of the Holy Infant Clinic metamorphosed into becoming the leading privately run hospital in Region 2 with the emergence of the Dr. Ronald P. Guzman Medical Center, a 250 bed- capacity Tertiary Hospital. The 150 bed Philhealth department is the first in the region that caters to the needs of the disadvantaged and marginalized sector of our society. Currently, the two schools have produced for the past 15 years a total of 115 board topnotchers and adjudged as top rankers in the licensure examination both in the regional and national level.

Encouraged by his officers, and the clergyman of his old parish,Woodward, 1998, p1Heathcote, p. 251 he passed an examination for an officer's commission and was posted as a second lieutenant in the 3rd Dragoon Guards on 27 June 1888. Normally only four or five rankers were commissioned each year at that time. Robertson later recorded that it would have been impossible to live as a cavalry subaltern in Britain, where £300 a year was needed in addition to the £120 official salary (approximately £30,000 and £12,000 at 2010 prices) to keep up the required lifestyle; he was reluctant to leave the cavalry,Mead, 2008, p52 but his Regiment was deployed to India, where pay was higher and expenses lower than in the UK. Robertson's father made his uniforms and he economised by drinking water with meals and not smoking, as pipes were not permitted in the mess and he could not afford the cigars which officers were expected to smoke.

That book, The Lord of All Good Life, was headed for publication and Hankey was all but headed back to Australia when war came in August 1914. He put in for a commission, but hearing that Lord Kitchener had called for one hundred thousand recruits under thirty, Hankey (who was some two months short of that limit) decided that as a “possible parson” he preferred “experience in the ranks,” and on 8 August enlisted as a private in the 7th Battalion of the Rifle Brigade. Though they naturally stood out, “gentleman rankers” such as Donald Hankey were not unknown in what became spoken of as “Kitchener’s Mob”; but few, like Hankey, had gone to a military academy and had previously held commissions. So given the extreme needs of the new army, Hankey's military experience marked him at once, and within a week he was made a sergeant, then sent to barracks at Aldershot and later billeted upon elderly Mrs.

Although he probably enlisted in Legio II and certainly commanded it at a high point of his career, he is unlikely to have served solely with that legion.
