The Browns Well Highway is the road from Loxton, South Australia through the Murray Mallee to Pinnaroo in South Australia. It was named in 2008 after the Browns Well district for areas traversed by the highway. Railways were evenly spaced across the Mallee before road transport improved. The South Coast Railway Line was a railway line that connected the towns of the South Coast region (now known as the City of the Gold Coast) with Brisbane, the state capital. The Beenleigh railway line was opened in 1885 with a further 42 kilometer extension being completed to Southport in 1889. Disused railway tunnel through Burbage Edge The disused Cromford and High Peak Railway line (which connected the High Peak canal at Whaley Bridge with the River Derwent in Cromford since 1831) ran through a tunnel beneath Burbage Edge. This stretch of the railway line was closed in 1896. The Peak District Boundary Walk long distance footpath follows the disused railway line from Burbage Edge down to Errwood Reservoir. In October 1934 a De Havilland Moth plane crashed on Burbage Edge in heavy mist, while struggling with strong winds.
The South Coast railway line (also known as the Tweed railway line) was a railway from Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland, Australia. The route via the South Coast (now known as the Gold Coast) to Tweed Heads on the border of Queensland and New South Wales. The line operated from 1889 to 1964. The Gold Coast railway line re-opened in 1996 along a modified alignment in the north and a new route south but does not extend as far south yet as the South Coast line.
The Skagen railway line () is a long standard gauge single track railway line between Skagen and Frederikshavn in Vendsyssel, Denmark. The railway links the fishing port and seaside resort of Skagen with the Danish rail network. The railway line opened as a narrow gauge railway in 1890 and was converted to standard gauge in 1924. It is currently owned and operated by the railway company Nordjyske Jernbaner (NJ) which runs frequent local train services from Skagen station to Frederikshavn station with onward connections from Frederikshavn to the rest of Denmark.

Continuing seven kilometers southeast, it intersects railway line near Grati. Eleven kilometers east of the rail crossing, Route 1 reaches Nguling Bridge, marking the entrance to Probolinggo Regency. Continuing 1.5 km southeast, Route 1 crosses railway line near Tongas Asri Restaurant, Tongas, thus making the railway line runs parallel with the route. 1.5 km from railway crossing, there is a three-way junction that has been a most-taken access toward Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Route 1 reaches Ketapang Junction some 8.5 km southeastward, where the western part of Route 25 diverges.
Until early 2000, Burnie airport had the distinction of having a railway line cross the northern end of runway 05/23, complete with flashing red signals, but without boom gates. Lights would begin flashing approximately 5 minutes before the train was expected to cross the runway, and aircraft were prohibited to land during this time. Since then, the runway has been shortened to no-longer cross the railway line, but the old runway segment is still visible from aerial photography. The railway line has not been in operation since 2003.
Ben Nevis railway station is an abandoned station on the Avoca railway line, a railway line running from Ararat to Avoca and onto Maryborough in the Australian state of Victoria. It also acted as the terminus of the abandoned Navarre railway line to Navarre, a community in the Wimmera region of Victoria, which was closed in 1954. Little remained of the station in 2013 situated near the intersection of the Pyrenees Highway and the Buangor – Ben Nevis Road, although earthworks associated with it are clearly visible nearby as can the rail lines themselves.
