Magistrate's House is an early Berrima modified Georgian house with cedar doors, floors of solid jarrah and a stone flagged front verandah. Single storied and built of ashlar sandstone, the house has a half-gabled corrugated steel clad roof (with louvred ventilators) and wide, raftered eaves. The hipped front verandah roof is of similar "raftered" character (Both roofs may be later alterations). The 4 chimneys are stone with simple, flat neck moulds.

The pool itself was lined with marble and fed by an artesian well deep. The room that would later become the Aula featured a fireplace adorned with terra cotta and raftered ceilings high. Recent renovations have returned the Aula space to its original state, with visible rafters, terra cotta accents, and hardwood floors. The Alumnae Gymnasium's placement was selected by a committee of college trustees and alumnae by early 1889.

The room features high-sloped ceilings reflective of those in Nordic peasant homes that keep snow from accumulating during the severe winters. Spruce boards are laid in a herringbone pattern slanting upward to a plane of flat boards decorated by two hand-carved, painted rosettes with a symbol for the midnight sun. Wooden chandeliers bearing a painted design incorporating "1945", the year the room was opened, hang from the flat surfaces. The professor's section of the room has a low raftered ceiling.

As the Quaker population of Talbot County continued to grow, more meeting houses were built to house three additional meetings. In 1681, a need was recognized for a new meeting house. Construction began along the river Third Haven (now known as Tred Avon), on a plot of land from John Edmondson, a wealthy merchant and long-standing Quaker resident of the Eastern Shore. Originally known as the "Great Meetinghouse," the house at Third Haven was to be "sixty foote long, forty four foote wide...framed with good white oak...the roof double raftered and studded," constructed with north, south, east, and west wings.

On the forecourt and track sides two double-raftered dormers were built and the timber-framed facade and the rooms in the centre section were restored. In the centre section, the balconies were rebuilt and were given copies of the original doors based on an original blueprint. All the windows on the first floor were replaced in order to recreate its former appearance and chimney pots of the original design were added. The old offices on the ground floor were restored to their original dimensions, the station restaurant was renovated and the roof was recovered with slates again.
