ARC became the Reynard North American Headquarters. Between 1993 and 1998, he served as Technical Director for RNA and later also for ARC and then in 1999 became president of RNA. Ashmore joined Forysthe Championship Racing CART team in 2001. After two successful years with the team where he planned the Championship title bid in 2003 he left at the end of 2002 to start Ashmore Design.

The Pushcart derby is a popular sporting event held every August in Jamaica where homemade carts that are used for street vending, to transport items or as a racing cart take part in races like the American soap box races. The carts have been clocked at up to 60 miles per hour on a downhill homestretch. The venue of the event is the Kaiser's Sports Club for the finals of the annual Push Cart Derby. The team joined the world of open-wheel racing in December 1991 as Hogan and Bobby Rahal purchased the distressed Patrick Racing CART IndyCar World Series team. The team won the championship in its first try in 1992 with driver Bobby Rahal on the back of four race wins. In late 1992 the team absorbed TrueSports and moved into TrueSports' facility in Ohio and began using TrueSports' proprietary chassis in 1993. However this proved disastrous as Rahal and teammate Mike Groff both failed to qualify for the 1993 Indianapolis 500 in the car.

Alex Barron (born June 11, 1970) is an American race car driver. He began racing CART FedEx World Series Championship cars in 1998 and made his first Indy Racing League Northern Lights Series (now IndyCar Series) start in 2001. The 1997 KOOL Toyota Atlantic Champion, moved across to the IRL, where he had trouble finding a regular drive and got his opportunities through injuries to other drivers. However, in 2006, he stepped down a level to race in the Champ Car Atlantic Championship, and then returned to IRL in 2007.

On November 18, 1995 CART teams, convinced they were being deliberately locked out from the 1996 Indy 500, and the victims of a "power grab" by Tony George, announced their intentions to boycott the event. They jointly announced plans for a new race, the Inaugural U.S. 500, to be held at Michigan International Speedway the same day. In 1994, Holl moved to the United States to become Reynard Motorsport's lead research-and-development (R&D;) engineer for its Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) programme. She then liaised with the Walker Racing CART team and went to race meetings. In August 1995, Tasman Motorsports owner Steve Horne moved to a two-car operation, and Holl was employed as a race engineer for driver Adrián Fernández, after Horne reviewed the qualifications of ten potential candidates. During the 1996 season, she became the first female race engineer to win a CART race when Fernández finished first at the Molson Indy Toronto.

The first contracted season of the show produced 26 installments (episodes). At the opening of each episode, a narrator would say, "Diamond P Sports presents... the American Sports Cavalcade. A panorama of speed, color, drama, and excitement!" Over the years, American Sports Cavalcade televised such sports as NASCAR and ASA stock car racing, NHRA drag racing, CART Indycar racing, IMSA and SCCA sports car racing, AMA supercross and superbike racing, USAC and World of Outlaws sprint car racing, monster truck racing and truck and tractor pulling from TNT Motorsports, APBA offshore power boat racing, Swamp Buggy racing from Naples, Florida, and even a couple of rodeo events during their first few seasons.

In 2001, Diffey moved to the US to cover the American-based open-wheel racing CART series, while still working for the BBC. Two years later in 2003, Diffey made a full-time move to the States when he was hired by Speed Channel, which later simply became "Speed". At Speed, Diffey was the play-by-play announcer for the network's coverage of the Speed World Challenge, the American Le Mans Series, the Rolex Sports Car Series, the Rolex Grand-Am Cup, the SCCA Trans-Am Series, and a regular anchor of The Speed Report and Speed Center. Diffey occasionally filled in for Speed commentator Bob Varsha during the network's Formula One broadcasts.

When Minardi driver Alex Yoong was rested for two races due to poor performance, Wilson was the team's preferred choice to replace him. However during a seat fitting at Minardi's headquarters in Faenza, Italy, he was unable to fit inside the PS02 car because of his long legs and so Anthony Davidson drove the car instead. Wilson and his manager Jonathan Palmer were eager to arrange a test with the Newman/Haas Racing CART team in September 2002, and the latter had a seat fitting in a Lola-Toyota car at their Chicago workshop and became acquainted with its staff. Wilson made his oval track test debut at Homestead–Miami Speedway on 8 October.
