Through various circumstances, Raine puts two and two together and builds a case that he believes can prove his innocence.

Wilby refuses and tells Slade that when he is elected, he will have him investigated regarding his criminal connections.

Tommy returns and quickly puts two and two together when he notices the bruise on Alex's face and cuts on Stephen's knuckles. When Tommy confronts Stephen about hitting Alex, Stephen admits to it and says that it was because Alex kissed him. After the truth about the kiss is revealed, Alex responds by telling Olive and Tommy that Stephen had paid him to plant the drugs in Tommy's locker so that Olive and Tommy would break up. Olive dumps Stephen for the final time, saying that he was her first love but he won't be her last.

One of the spirits that attacks Batman and Professor Milo is Mister Bygone who blames Professor Milo for his emaciation and infusion of dark magic. Professor Milo is knocked out by Mister Bygone as Batman leaves with his body when the police arrive. When Batman meets up with Jim Corrigan and Batwing, Professor Milo is punched in the face by Corrigan who tries to get answers out of him as he explains to Batman that Professor Milo tried to summon a demon which enabled Deacon Blackfire to open a hole in Hell. Though Batman puts two and two together and goes out to find Ra's al Ghul.

The police officer puts two and two together and exposes the girls as liars, and Herod Sharkey is found innocent, saving him from expulsion. April, being caught, attempts to escape in her father's car but promptly crashes into the police cruiser. He tells Betty to get Amanda to help her, but it appears that Amanda may be holding back in a jealous fit, for it turns out that she has the watch. Betty finally puts two and two together, and confronts Amanda in the bathroom. Amanda reveals to Betty that she always wanted Daniel for herself but she is tired of his constant one-night stands with other women and admits her hope that he'll pick her, knowing it'll never happen.
