According to Trife's Myspace profile, the album has sold over 100,000 copies independently.

The Heavy recorded an original song for the game titled "Put It On The Line". In June 2019, Gearbox invited Trevor Eastman, a series fan with terminal cancer, to play a preview build of the game. They let him name a weapon, the "Trevonator", that appears in the game.

Sun God is Ghostface Killah's eldest son; he made his debut with the song Man Up on Put it on the Line in 2005. He appears twice on his album More Fish in "Miguel Sanchez" and "Street Opera". He also appears on "Yapp City" and "Paisely Darts" from Ghost's album The Big Doe Rehab, "Dogs Of War" on Fishscale and "Gunshowers" on the Wu-Massacre album. He is signed to Starks Enterprises, his father's label.

Cuccinelli was involved in advocating for the exoneration of Thomas Haynesworth, who had served 27 years in prison for rape until new evidence emerged. As attorney general, Cuccinelli argued in court for Haynesworth's exoneration and Cuccinelli hired Haynesworth to work in his office as a clerk. Haynesworth said Cuccinelli was "an extraordinary guy", having "put it on the line for me", and continues to work in Cuccinelli's office. Shawn Armbrust of the Innocence Project, who helped bring the Haynesworth case to Cuccinelli's office's attention, said Cuccinelli invited Haynesworth to his office and personally apologized for the 27 years Haynesworth spent in jail.

"What Makes A Good Man?", from their third album, was used for the launch trailer of Sleeping Dogs, the official theme song for the 2013 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, was featured in the 2013 film "Grudge Match", the video game NHL 13, the trailer for Dallas Buyers Club and Guinness' "Sapeurs" commercial, a production in collaboration with the advertisement agency, AMV BBDO, which was hailed as one of the most successful example of brand-agency partnership as top-classed quality adverts have been consistently produced. In addition, the song also appeared in the H&M; commercials featuring David Beckham.

In November 2005 he released the album Put It On The Line with Ghostface, packaged with a DVD of Ghostface in concert. He has also appeared on the early 2006 Ghostface album Fishscale on the tracks "Be Easy", "Clipse of Doom", "Jellyfish", and "Dogs of War" as well as on "Miguel Sanchez", "Guns N' Razors", "Good", "Josephine (Remix)" and "Grew Up Hard" from Ghostface's late 2006 album More Fish. He has in also recorded with many artists outside of Wu-Tang, such as Ali & Gipp, Bone Crusher, Saigon, Jae Millz, Tragedy Khadafi, Black Thought, Nate Dogg, Termanology, AC, and Tru Life. He was also featured on 'Ooh Wee', the lead- single from Mark Ronson's debut album, "Here Comes The Fuzz".

After joining Shin Fuyuki-Gun in 2000, Nakagawa debuted a new gimmick on May 30 named GOEMON, a dark thief character based on the historic Japanese thief Goemon Ishikawa. Under the new persona, he began feuding with Onryo, a ghost wrestler after GOEMON and Kintaro Kanemura defeated Masato Tanaka and Onryo on August 28. Goemon defeated Onryo in their first singles encounter on October 10. Onryo later brought an item called the Belt of Curse and put it on the line in their feud, revealing it was a cursed object which would be granted to the loser and would slowly kill him if he held it, and that it was what killed Onryo in the first place and turned him into a ghost.

The song was recorded at Chung King Studios, and both versions were created from a sample of "Put it on the Line" by singer Lyn Collins. In an interview with the Trackmasters, the beat was originally meant for The Notorious B.I.G.. However, the beat was given to LL Cool J at the insistence of Chris Lighty, who was the manager of Fat Joe at the time. The original version contains three verses from LL and with the chorus provided by Murray, while the remix version was given new verses written and recorded at separate times by LL, Murray, Prodigy, Fat Joe, and Foxy Brown. While LL and the Trackmasters were working on the song, Fat Joe happened to be in another room one day, writing lyrics for his second album Jealous One's Envy.
