"Run the World" is an electropop and R&B; song. "It Kills Me" is a R&B; single by Melanie Fiona as the second U.S. single (third in Canada after "Give It to Me Right" and "Bang Bang") from The Bridge. The track spent nine weeks as number-one on the US Billboard R&B; singles chart. The track w also peaked just outside the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 43. Fiona received a Grammy nomination in the category of Best Female R&B; Vocal Performance for the track, however, the Grammy was awarded to Beyoncé for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".
The tour was generally well received by critics. Beyoncé was praised for her performance abilities and choreographed routines with her background dancers, and can be seen performing "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". The opening night of the tour received generally positive reviews: USA Todays Erica K. Landau praised the Miami concert, summarizing it as "[a] tantalizing spectacle, [with] triumphant vocals, palpable sensuality and booty-shaking anthems". Billboards staff ranked the music video for "Focus" as Grande's seventh-best, describing it as "out-of-this-world" with "star-emblazoned jumpsuits and neon wigs"; they compared the clip's aesthetic to the Disney Channel Original Movie Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999) and Grande's dancing to Beyoncé's in the video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (2008). The music video has received over 850 million views on YouTube, becoming her fifth most-viewed upload on the site.
The concert followed back at the main stage where for the penultimate section, Beyoncé appeared wearing a gown and singing "At Last". A footage of her performance of the song at Barack Obama's inauguration as President of the United States, video images of civil rights era footage and snippets from her performance of the song in the movie, Cadillac Records (2008) were shown on the screen behind here. "Listen" was performed afterwards. A CD and DVD, released on June 15, 2010, featured her performance of "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". While reviewing The Element of Freedom, Greg Kot of Chicago Tribune compared the song with Knowles' song "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (2008) commenting that it had the same "sassiness on the tribal groove". "The Way You Love Me" is an R&B-dance-pop; song which displays influences of electro, and rock music. It features a "squealing" synth, a banging fast-paced beat, screaming, rough as well as at times hoarse vocals and blaring sonics. According to the staff members of Idolator, the beat in the background is augmented by hand-claps similar to that of "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (2008) by Beyoncé Knowles, most noticeable toward the end. According to a press release by Interscope Records, the song's lyrics make reference to a "raw infectious club-thumping message to female empowerment" and about being in a committed relationship.
