Karthika's father Neelakandan (Achyuth Kumar), an ardent fan of Rajinikanth, was the best friend of Malligarajan and had given Rajini Murugan his name when he was born, but fell out with Malligarajan and his family due to a misunderstanding involving Rajini Murugan and Karthika when they were children. Since then, Rajini Murugan and Karthika are not on speaking terms, and Neelakandan forbids any sort of contact between the two. Nevertheless, Rajini Murugan opens a tea stall outside Karthika's house to stay close to her and follows her day and night. The stall is later destroyed by a customer who pulls down the shop in the process of taking a banana.

In 1978 Brooklyn, as a young Dave Buznik is about to experience his first kiss with the girl of his dreams, local bully Arnie Shankman suddenly pulls down his pants and underwear, exposing Dave's penis and humiliating him in front of everybody. Twenty-five years later in 2003, Dave works as a secretary for Frank Head, his disrespectful boss who takes credit for his work. Dave's trauma from the bullying causes him to avoid displaying public affection such as kissing his girlfriend Linda in public. Taylor Pringle is a minor character who only appears in the films, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days and does not appear in the books. She is a very rude little girl and is first seen at the end of the opening scene in Rodrick Rules in which during her birthday party at the roller rink, Rodrick embarrasses Greg, prompting Greg to try and tackle him, but he misses and face-plants in Taylor's birthday cake, destroying it. Donald Duck is hoisted up on a roped platform while Pluto the dog is pulling Donald up. Donald Ducks hat and tail feathers gets trimmed exposing his bare tail. Later on Donald Duck throws a bucket of water to wash the window and quickly runs out of water, Donald Duck orders Pluto to wake up but he refuses and Donald Duck gets angry at Pluto, yelling at him and finally throws a brush down the drainpipe and Pluto wakes up and blows the pulley to the wrong bucket full of nuts and bolts and Donald Duck smashes a window and pulls down the window curtain in embarrassment.

The lower boiling temperature enables the water to be driven off as it would be when using the traditional open pan method, but with the added benefit of retaining more of the volatile flavor compounds from the fruit, preventing caramelization of the sugars, and of course reducing the overall energy required to make the product. The barge-boards are also noticeably different, being far larger and more sculpted than their predecessor. The rear end was also completely redesigned, with the contoured engine cover fitting over the Mecachrome-built V8 being far tighter than before, and while the rear of the sidepods featured both brand new cooling chimneys and a newer design of the 'shark gill' vents which appeared briefly in 2006.
