On March 5, 2017, the group held 'BOYS24 The 1st Semi-Final' concert at the Hall of Peace at Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun, Seoul. The concert was broadcast live on Mnet and M2. Through the concert Park Doha, Jin Sungho, Hwang Inho, Oh Jinseok, Kim Sunghyun, Kim Yonghyun, Jung Yeontae, Yoo Youngdoo and Han Hyunuk were selected to promote as promotional unit for three months. Produce 48 is a 2018 South Korean competition television show on Mnet in which a girl group is formed from a large pool of South Korean and Japanese idols, most of whom are represented by major idol talent agencies such as AKB48. The show starts with 96 contestants, with occasional rounds of competition and voting, some of which result in elimination from the contest. Of the 96 contestants, 57 of them are from South Korean management companies, and 39 of them are from Japanese idol groups, composed of current members of AKB48 and their sister groups. The final 12 contestants, with no nationality caps, as voted only by Korean viewers, will promote as a group for two and a half years.

The group did a crowdfunding effort to subsidize their comeback on Makestar, from September to December 2016, with the scheduled of release the album in March 2017. In 1994, Echolyn was signed to a multi-album deal on Sony's Epic Records label with their major- label debut, As the World, released in March 1995. However, the label did not provide support for the band to tour in promotion of the album, therefore the band was forced to promote As the World on their own. Later in 1995, Sony dropped Echolyn from the label due to poor sales of As the World. Human osteosarcomas analyzed for c-fos expression have given positive results in more than half the cases and c-fos expression has been associated with higher frequency of relapse and poor response to chemotherapy.
