Sex in public is also prohibited. Article 191 of the Criminal Law prohibits third party involvement, such as procuring, pimping and profiting from the prostitution of others. Law enforcement is corrupt, and often violent towards sex workers. In a 2007 study reported 82.4% of sex workers had been assaulted by the police.

Leasing, according, or delegating this right was specifically prohibited. Article II prohibited sale of opium to minors, and Article III prohibited minors from entering smoking divans. Article IV required governments to limit the number of opium retail shops and smoking divans as much as possible. Articles V and VI regulated the export and transport of opium and dross.

Brazilian law number 5700, chapter V, from 1971, concerns respect and the national flag: Article 30 states that, when in the flag is being marched or paraded (for example, when the national anthem is being played), everyone present must take a respectful attitude, standing in silence. Males must remove any head coverings. Military personnel must salute or present arms according to their corps' internal regulations. Article 31 states that it is prohibited: Article 32 states that flags in a bad condition must be sent to the nearest military unit for incineration on Flag Day according to ceremonial procedures.

Before moving to the far-right, Saleam was a member of the Worker Student Alliance, a youth organisation involved with the Communist Party of Australia (Marxist–Leninist). In 1975, "much to his later chagrin", Saleam was photographed in full Nazi uniform at a public meeting. On Anzac Day 1982, he co-founded National Action (NA), which eventually collapsed due to Saleam's convictions for property offences and fraud in 1984, possession of a prohibited article - a large nail-studded club in 1985, and for organising a shotgun attack in 1989 on African National Congress Australian representative Eddie Funde, for which he served three years in prison. After his release from prison, Saleam was awarded a PhD in politics from the University of Sydney by writing a thesis entitled The Other Radicalism: An Inquiry into Contemporary Australian Extreme Right Ideology, Politics And Organization 1975–1995.
