Primitivity was originally formed in July 2000 and debuted on the NPR show From the Top while performing a cello arrangement of "Skin O My Teeth" by Megadeth. Primitivity recorded Plays Megadeth For Cello and performed with different lineups from 2002–2009 with lead cellist Loren Westbrook-Fritts. The band performed as a quintet from 2009–2010 until reforming in 2010 as a quartet with three cellos and a drummer. The latest lineup has performed covers of the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Muse, Metallica, and System of a Down.

Comayagua during the XVII century During the Pre-Columbian era the valley in which the city is located was populated by Lenca people. Archaeological remains such as Yarumela show that these natives have populated the valley since approximately 1,000 B.C. During the colonization of the American continent. Comayagua was founded with the name Santa María de la Nueva Valladolid by Conquistador Alonso de Cáceres under orders from Francisco de Montejo, Governor of Yucatán on 8 December 1537. The complementary names "Valladolid" or "Pais de las Higueras" were those given to it by the Spaniards but it kept the primitivity of the place that is purely indigenous.

The novel's protagonist, with memories of a male body, awakens to a female one and must find a way beyond rejection. In Beyond Humanity, the protagonist deals with the claims to personhood of both apes and computers – themes that Hackett Publishing suggested might also be incorporated into a dialogue, Can Animals and Machines Be Persons? In Beyond Gravity, Leiber's protagonist discovers that earth has long been studied by alien “anthropologists,” who write articles about humans which appear in a journal whose title might be translated into humanese as “Primitivity Review.” As this description suggests, Leiber's Beyond trilogy is largely taken up with issues in philosophy and cognitive science.
