Dredd uses the ship Justice 1 to pursue the gang and the Child across a number of star systems and through various strange encounters with alien worlds. Dredd becomes convinced that only by using Oracle Spice will he be able to find the Child, and after further dangerous adventures he gains this on the planet Necros. Dredd orders a member of the Justice One crew, Judge Lopez, to take the Oracle Spice.
2 #147 In addition, Psylocke could also use her telepathy to project a focused beam of directed psionic energy called a "psycho-blast" that could incapacitate or kill a living being instantly. This attack was powerful enough to pierce the Juggernaut's psi-proof helmet. The psycho-blast was able to affect inorganic material as well as living targets (when directing a psycho-blast at Sabretooth the energy destroyed the metal Cerebro helmet she was wearing). Psylocke also possessed limited precognitive powers that occasionally allowed her to envision probable future events,Uncanny X-Men #250 or to see quick flashes of the immediate future.

In the third volume, Angela Petrelli has a precognitive dream in which Adam Monroe is seen alongside Maury Parkman, Tracy Strauss, Knox, and Sylar killing the Heroes. In the final moments of "I Am Become Death", Hiro and Ando dig Adam up in hopes of gaining information on the formula. In the following episode, he is released from his casket prison under the pretense that he will assist Hiro and Ando in retrieving the formula. After arriving at a bar that he claims specializes in hiring superpowered individuals to commit crimes, he goads the bartender into attacking him, and lets Hiro take the blow instead.
When a precognitive vision from G.C. Jayewardine shows that the Great Ape is actually a transformed Ace, Dr. Tachyon manages to unlock Strauss' submerged consciousness and return him to normal. In the novel, the phrase "dead zone" refers to the part of Johnny Smith's brain that is damaged beyond repair, causing dormant parts to awaken in order to compensate, leading to psychic abilities; when information in his visions is obstructed, Johnny says it exists in the dead zone. In the movie adaptation starring Walken, the phrase "dead zone" refers to blind spots that only appear in precognitive visions, representing that the future is capable of being altered. In the TV series starring Hall, the phrase "dead zone" refers not to his brain damage but instead to the previously dormant part of Johnny's brain that awakens and activates his psychic abilities.
His precognitive spider- sense is more developed than that of Spider-Man; where Parker and Reilly can sense immediate danger, Kaine can actually see short glimpses of the future. Kaine also does not set off Parker or Reilly's spider-senses, but they do not set off his either. Like Spider-Man, his clinging ability is because of the Van der Waals force, but also left a distinctive scarring into surfaces (and people), which he calls the "Mark of Kaine". After defeating an enemy, usually resulting in death such as breaking their neck using his superhuman strength, he would burn the "Mark of Kaine" onto their face.
Olivia (Anna Torv) is still worried about the effects of the Observer implant on Peter (Joshua Jackson), and succeeds in getting another one from their ally Anil (Shaun Smyth) for Walter to study. Meanwhile, Peter is still trying to track down Captain Windmark (Michael Kopsa) to avenge killing his and Olivia's daughter Etta, using the precognitive abilities of the implant. He flees Etta's apartment just before Windmark and his associate arrive, and heads to New York City to put his plan into motion. Walter frees another video tape, this one directing him to the town of Fitchburg outside of Boston; the tape instructs them to recover an electromagnet.
After her encounter with an Energy Rider, Chiana began to experience precognitive visions that left her with blindness and splitting headaches. These visions later evolved into being able to see the present and future in slow motion, and each time she used this ability, the following blindness would last longer than before until she ended up completely blind at the end of season 4. Shortly before the start of Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, she received new eyes from a Diagnosan that allowed her to 'see' energy sources and, to an extent, see through walls. In the episode, "Durka Returns", Chiana was a thief so slippery that she evades Moya's internal sensors.
Along with her precognitive abilities, it appears that Sophie is telekinetic. In Halloweentown, Sophie is about 7 years old and can control her powers better than her sister can, as her grandmother states it only takes will and imagination for the magic to work. In Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge, Sophie can sense Kal's presence, which her grandmother, mother, sister and brother can't (although Gwen later can and Dylan indicates he senses something is wrong), but has a hard time controlling her flying abilities because Aggie hadn't taught her how to fly yet. In Halloweentown High, Sophie appears briefly and doesn't do magic at all.
Dave reveals his secret to Dunlop and Evelyn, who are less than ecstatic about it. One night, Dave and Dunlop proceed to Torpedo's clubhouse, where Dave has Dunlop dance with Rosie (with some hypnotic encouragement) while he poses as a corrupt cop who wants a share of the winnings. By using his hypnotic powers on Torpedo, he gets the gangster to blab out the location of his printing facility: the fishing trawler Barracuda.
The original four episodes were released by Christmas 1996. The soundtrack for the CD ROM and online versions of "The Cypher", The Cypher Suite, was composed and performed by Kimara Sajn/Precognitive Music and recorded in 1996. After the initial episodic run on LAUNCH, the developers published a single CD ROM for Mac OS and Windows with the entire The Cypher narrative including an extra 'bonus' episode, which was also distributed by Launch. With the initial success of The Cypher in the US, EPG Media partnered with Pete Brady of the UK production company Clearwater to publish the title in the UK and translate it into French and German.
On Divination in Sleep (or On Prophesying by Dreams; ; Latin: De divinatione per somnum) is a text by Aristotle in which he discusses precognitive dreams. The treatise, one of the Parva Naturalia, is an early inquiry (perhaps the first formal one) into this phenomenon. In his skeptical consideration of such dreams, Aristotle argues that, although "the senders of such dreams should be the gods," it is nonetheless the case "that those to whom they are sent are not the best and wisest, but merely commonplace persons" (i, 462b20-22). Thus, "Most [so-called prophetic] dreams are, however, to be classed as mere coincidences" (i, 463a31-b1).
Sailor Neptune using the Deep Aqua Mirror to perform Submarine Reflection in Sailor Moon Crystal. Even in civilian form, Michiru has some precognitive gifts, as she occasionally states that "the sea is stormy" when there is an evil presence at work. She is not shown using any other special powers in her civilian form, and must first transform into a Sailor Soldier by raising her hand or a special device into the air and shouting a special phrase, originally "Neptune Planet Power, Make-up!"First used in Act 27 of the manga (she raises her hand) and Episode 106 of the anime (she raises the Lip Rod).

Mike is appalled and angered, a lamp bursts into flames, and he orders Masterson to leave. That night, Blaine sneaks into Mike's vacated motel room and is apprehended by Eleven, who kills him once he learns of Mike's connection to Jessica. The next day, Eleven goes to interrogate Jessica at the community centre, where James is intoning "Eleven" repeatedly, which Mike hears and then sees through extrasensory perception and precognitive visions.
While Lee moves on to the next challenge, Bonesaw shoots one of the men and knocks the other out while declaring, "I still need you." Pat Roberts, a self-proclaimed psychic, calls the Wannell County Police Station to report his precognitive flashes of Bonesaw's murders, but his visions are dismissed by the skeptical Detective Brown. Bonesaw's next game involves a caged man who will be released if Lee can solve at least two out of three brain teasers. Lee correctly answers only a single question, but is given a second chance to free the hostage, one that involves bringing the man to orgasm in less than fifteen minutes.
Cassie Newton is a Sunnydale High student with a precognitive ability who appears in Season Seven, played by Azura Skye. She is a shy blogger, the daughter of divorced parents, and describes herself as looking forward to the school dance. In the episode "Help", Cassie comes to Buffy's guidance office and predicts her own death on the next Friday Though she remains sadly adamant her fate can't be averted, Buffy and her friends become determined to save her, even when any leads to what could cause her demise turn up false. Buffy eventually saves her from a group of boys who try to kill her in order to raise a demon.
Years later, Blindfold attended his execution and, just after he died, his astral projection attacked her and stole half of her powers, leaving her "broken". When telepathically projecting herself into Legion's mind in the same issue, Blindfold did not demonstrate this speech pattern, instead speaking in a normal manner and acting with more confidence than is usually the case. Given that she is both a telepath and a precognitive, she often answers questions before they are asked and responds to comments before they are spoken aloud. As a result, she tends to turn what would ordinarily be a two-way conversation into a monologue.
Marauders soon infiltrated the house; they attempt to gain access to Destiny's Diaries on the order of Mr. Sinister (who has been gathering information about the future from anybody and anything that could foretell the future). Bobby and Cannonball escape from the Marauders in the X-Jet, with help from Emma Frost. They are pursued by Sunfire; they manage to get the better of him and take him prisoner, but not before he manages to cripple the jet. While Sunfire is unconscious, Iceman and Sam discuss the Mauraders' plan to eliminate all precognitive mutants and anyone with knowledge of the future as well as retrieving Destiny's Diaries before the Marauders can.
Woo-tak is amazed that his dream is already happening exactly as it is, except that he was having a meal with Jae-chan, not Kyung-han. Jae- chan overhears the conversation between Yoo-beom, So-yoon, and Geum-sook, and just before the accident happens, Jae-chan intervenes in the argument and promises So-yoon and Geum-sook that he will prosecute Jun-mo in every way he can. Woo-tak learns from Jae-chan and Hong-joo about their precognitive dreams although the trio are still curious about why, out of the many people around them, they were the ones chosen to have such dreams. Jae-chan starts the investigation and gathers as much evidence as possible.
Since the battle at Nora, he has developed precognitive abilities. He latter discovers this is because he is a special type of human called an "X-Rounder", and played a key role at the invasion of the UE's secret base at the Ambat Fortress, where their true origin is revealed. :During the 25 years after the battle at Ambat, Flit rose among the ranks of the Earth Federation Forces to the position of Vice Admiral in the war against the Vagans, assuming command of the Military Orbital Station "Big Ring", which is the Federation's last line of defense. He also married his childhood friend Emily and had two children, Asemu and Yunoa with her.
Kaine realizes the partial degeneration also caused a slight amplification of the powers he "inherited" from Peter. Not only has his strength, speed, and agility been copied from the original Peter's, but he gains a "precognitive sense" that shows him flashes of the future (an amplified version of Peter's spider-sense). He also possesses a "Mark of Kaine", a burning touch that he uses to leave eaten away hand prints on his victims' faces. Though never explicitly stated within the story, in a later interview former Spider-Man editor/writer Glenn Greenberg revealed that the Mark of Kaine was meant to be another analog of one of Spider-Man's powers, namely the ability to cling to walls.
While they wait for one of Simone's crew to get diesel fuel for the truck, she explains to Olivia that she has a mysterious sense of the future, which Olivia dismisses given her own past experiences with Fringe events. Nevertheless, Simone tries to imply that it is a gift, and notes that Olivia still carries the bullet that Etta had on her necklace. Peter attempts to set up a trap for Windmark in New York, but instead is cornered by Windmark and his associate. Peter and Windmark engage in a fight, during which Windmark claims that despite Peter's precognitive abilities, everything has been going as Windmark planned, all aimed towards this moment.
Pucci aims Made in Heaven to maneuver Stone Free into successfully killing Anasui, but Jotaro is able to stop time. Made in Heaven greatly shortens Jotaro’s time stop, and upon saving Jolyne from Pucci’s attack, Jotaro and Ermes are killed in front of Emporio. Jolyne sacrifices herself to halt Pucci and save Emporio, being quickly obliterated by Made in Heaven’s punches. The final effects of Made in Heaven are completed when time accelerates to the end of the universe, leading to a new cycle of time and a parallel universe in its place, where all surviving humans have precognitive understanding of fated actions in their lives; all deceased humans became different, but similar versions of themselves.
While frustrated about the lack of useful information in the box, Peter accidentally taps into his precognitive ability and paints a picture, befuddling Caitlin in the process. The final picture shows Peter and Caitlin outside what looks like to be the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. At the same time, Elle visits the Wandering Rocks Pub and meets Ricky, who lies about seeing Peter. Elle uses her ability to weld the doors closed and electrocutes Ricky, leaving his horrifically charred corpse behind. Later, she receives a phone call from a man she identifies as “daddy”; for killing Ricky, she is ordered to halt her assignment of finding Peter and return to the Company headquarters.
In larger quantities, the spice possesses intense psychotropic effects and is used as a powerful entheogen by both the Bene Gesserit and Fremen to initiate clairvoyant and precognitive trances, access genetic memory, and heighten other abilities. The Fremen also use the spice to make, among other things, paper, plastics, and chemical explosives, and the existence of "spice-cloth" and "spice-fiber" rugs are noted in Dune Messiah (1969) and Children of Dune (1976). Melange can be mixed with food, and it is used to make beverages such as spice coffee, spice beer, and spice liquor. By the events of Dune, the spice is used all over the universe and is a sign of wealth.
Lirael, the protagonist of the second and third books, is Sabriel's younger half-sister on the father's side; but is unaware of this until her nineteenth year, and largely raised by her mother's relatives, the Clayr. Because she lacks the Clayr's precognitive 'Sight', she is considered an eccentric by her neighbors at the Clayr's headquarters, and prefers solitude to company. In young- adulthood, she joins the staff of the Clayr's Library, and acquires the Disreputable Dog; and with the latter's help, vanquishes a series of monsters in the Library itself. During a later exploration, she is identified as a 'Remembrancer' (a clairvoyant able, under special conditions, to accurately perceive the past), and immediately sent to rescue Nicholas Sayre.
Some of the Exiles that were trapped in the Crystal Palace have since resurfaced in other stories, indicating that those Exiles were eventually released from the crystal wall unharmed. Linearly speaking, Proteus was eventually restored as dispersed energy on Earth-616 and decided he was not happy being dead anymore, and arranged to bring himself back to life. To accomplish this, he planned to roughly recreate the process previously used by Harness and Piecemeal. When Selene began using the Technarch transmode virus to resurrect dead mutants, Proteus took advantage of her work by affixing a small portion of his energy signature, and therefore his consciousness, to the precognitive Destiny as she was resurrected.

Olympian is a founding member of the Global Guardians. As detailed in a flashback, Olympian protests when the original 'Ice', otherwise known as Icemaiden leaves the Global Guardians because of her feelings of inadequacy. When he learned that his fellow members of the Global Guardians were to be supported by the Bialyan dictator Queen Bee, Olympian joins up.
In the episode, contemporary Earth and 26 other planets are stolen by the Daleks, aided by their megalomaniacal creator Davros and a shattered but precognitive Dalek Caan. As the Doctor (David Tennant) and his companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) try to find Earth, his previous companions Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman), Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), and Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) convene to contact him and mount a defence against the Daleks. In the episode's climax, the Doctor is shot by a Dalek and begins to regenerate. The episode marks the first appearance of Davros since the 1988 serial Remembrance of the Daleks; he is portrayed by Julian Bleach.
In 1911, Kulakkunnathu Raman Menon, who owned B. V. Book Depot at Trivandrum, acquired rights of the novel, to publish from his own publishing house. C. V. Raman Pillai did a revision for the new edition, in which he had replaced the edits of N. Raman Pillai in the first edition with his own. The author corrected the flaws in the usages of Sanskrit and Malayalam words, together with the change of phrases that are in line with the then usages of Malayalam. The changes included the removal of a precognitive narration about the death of Padmanabhan Thambi at Nagercoil, removal of reference to an earlier spouse of character Anantham prior to her relationship with Sundarayyan and removal of references to mistresses from Thanjavur.
Thus the predictive value of dreams is moot.Hartman, Ernest, MD, "Biology of Dreaming", Charles C. Thomas Publications Ltd, 1997Hartman, Ernest, MD, "Boundaries In The Mind" New York, Basic Books, 2002 Dreams which appear to be precognitive may in fact be the result of the "Law of Large Numbers". Robert Todd Carroll, author of The Skeptic's Dictionary put it this way: In his book The Interpretation of Dreams, first published at the end of the 19th century, Sigmund Freud argued that the foundation of all dream content is the fulfillment of wishes, conscious or not and devoid of psychic content. Some of Freud's patients and their strange dreams have become well-known case studies in psychotherapy, like Irma's injection, Wolf Man, and Dora.
Alexander's greatest talent is his genius-level intellect which he uses to manipulate other characters, outwit his enemies and engineer the Multiverse Tower. The circumstances of his escape from the doomed Earth-Three give him power over matter and anti-matter, which he can use offensively as bursts of energy or to form and control dimensional portals. He also has a form of precognitive abilities, enabling him to foresee the most probable events. Overuse of his power seems to drain him; following his attempt to restore the Multiverse (and a subsequent attack on Nightwing) he was left apparently as vulnerable as a normal human, clearly terrified when Batman appeared to be about to shoot him, and eventually being killed by the Joker.
For example, Derry and the eponymous Haven are both fictional towns in Maine previously used in the author's stories. For Derry and the Derry Road see the notes for episode 6 in this Spanish web page: Other references abound: one of the main characters receives a copy of a novel written by a character from King's novel, Misery (1987), while another character has just been released from Shawshank Prison. In some cases the plot of an episode revolves around an idea from King's works: a character who has precognitive, psychometric visions after touching people or things; The plot of "The Hand You're Dealt", paralleling the character Johnny Smith from King's novel The Dead Zone (1979). or plants that start killing people.
During the 2016 Civil War II storyline, the precognitive Ulysses Cain experiences a vision that warns Blue Marvel about the impending arrival of the inter-dimensional traveler Infinaut on Earth, which will endanger the planet. This warning gives sufficient time for Blue Marvel, Giant-Man, and the Ultimates to devise a Pym Particle accelerator with which they can shrink Infinaut down to human size, at which point Infinaut greets the heroes. During the God Butcher storyline, Blue Marvel and the Mighty Avengers, along with the rest of humanity, have been killed by Loki. Blue Marvel's reanimated corpse appears as part of a legion of undead heroes sent against Old King Thor by the God of Mischief, but are ultimately defeated by The God of Thunder.
The first edition of the novel mentions that Padmanabhan Thambi is killed by Marthanda Varma's accomplices in a precognitive narration, which is removed from the further editions. According to P. Shangoony Menon and V. Nagam Aiya, Pappu Thambi was killed at Nagercoil palace by the guards of Marthanda Varma, which the former records as happened in Kollavarsham 908 and the latter mentions that it happened a few months after the Arattu feestival at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in 1732. The novel refers the Kalipankulam incident, which according to P. Shangoony Menon and V. Nagam Aiya was that the five princes who were the offspring of Umayamma Rani were murdered by men of confederates (Madampimar). T. K. Velu Pillai points that Umayamma Rani never had any children.
Attempts by his daughter Kay to read his mind, in fact, result in pain for her, because of the "clairvoyant insight" he has developed due to his advanced age. He almost never feels pain, with two exceptions: When he senses when one of his children has died or is led to believe by his precognitive abilities that one of his children's death is imminent, and when Vincent, under the possession of an interdimensional demon, attacked him with mystical energy. He does not require nourishment, can survive in the vacuum of outer space, and does not need to sleep. While he is visible in the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum perceivable to humans, he is invisible to scans using higher wavelengths.
Scotty is warned of her doings by his precognitive power, and Havok takes him and his nanny, Elektra, into hiding.Mutant X #5-9, Mutant X '99 For months Madelyne wages war against the rest of the world while trying to open a gateway to allow a full demonic invasion. Scotty finally stops her by exorcising the Goblin Entity from her mind.Mutant X #12 (September 1999) The destruction caused by Madelyne serves as a spark to ignite the seething anti- mutant sentiment in the United States, and new president Graydon Creed tasks terrorist leader Nick Fury with rounding up mutants into prison camps; though the public explanation is that this is for their protection, mutants taken into the camps are immediately killed.
Psylocke (Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with the X-Men. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Herb Trimpe in 1976, she first appeared in the Marvel UK series Captain Britain. Betsy Braddock was initially a supporting character in the adventures of her twin brother, Captain Britain, even briefly substituting for him in the role, before becoming the mutant superheroine and X-Men member Psylocke in 1986. Originally presented as a precognitive in the pages of Captain Britain and then as a telepath, the character eventually had her mind placed in the body of the Japanese female ninja Kwannon, gaining many of Kwannon's martial arts skills and elements of her personality.
The X-Men head to Dallas, Texas in search of their missing and de-powered leader Storm, herself seeking the mutant inventor Forge to restore her powers. Upon arrival, they encounter Freedom Force, a government-sanctioned strike team of reformed villains led by Mystique, who are under orders to arrest the X-Men for refusing to comply with the Mutant Registration Act, and a fight ensues. Freedom Force's mutant precognitive Destiny then has a vision: everyone inside a particular Dallas skyscraper at dawn will be dead. Once it begins snowing — in Texas, in the middle of summer — and as cavemen, dinosaurs, and other strange peoples and creatures begin appearing, the two teams realize that something of immense significance is occurring.
Peter (Joshua Jackson), recently having injected one of the Observers' devices in his own body, comes to understand the precognitive abilities that the devices give their owners, but he experiences side-effects, like insomnia. He works with Anil (Shaun Smyth) of the human resistance to try to replace one of their briefcases with an identical one containing a bomb. The initial attempt fails as Peter fails to account for all variables, but his second attempt is a success; later, when this Observer meets with others, the bomb that contains a bio-agent gruesomely kills them (later revealed as the same one used in the show's pilot episode). Meanwhile, Walter (John Noble) retrieves another tape from the ambered part of the lab.
Instead of his telepathy which enabled him to track Thanos across vast distances, he now possessed the ability to sense either him or other beings who have been in recent contact with Thanos, alongside a precognitive ability to sense when beings will be in contact with Thanos in the near future. For a time, Drax possessed the Power Gem that had the potential to grant him superhuman physical and energy manipulation powers with no feasible limit. However, because of his severely-reduced intellect, he lacked the mental capacity and imagination to use the gem for anything other than bolstering his physical strength. While possessing the gem, Drax's strength has been compared with that of the merged incarnation of the Hulk, but lacking the latter's rage-fueled potential.
A Dalek force, led by their creator Davros and the red Supreme Dalek, quickly subjugate Earth despite humanity's fierce resistance. Davros, who was thought to have perished during the Time War, was saved by Dalek Caan, who entered the conflict after performing an emergency temporal shift. The power needed to enter the Time War caused Caan to become precognitive at the cost of his sanity. The Doctor's former companions—who have all encountered the Daleks before—hide in various places in the UK. Martha, Captain Jack and Sarah Jane are contacted by former Prime Minister Harriet Jones through a secret "Subwave Network" to contact the Doctor's companions in an emergency (although Rose is unable to contact the others after tracking down Donna's mother Sylvia and grandfather Wilfred).
Maken X is set in a near-future version of Earth, described as "five minutes" into the future, the limit of precognitive vision. In the world of Maken X, the spirit is a scientifically-proven concept referred to as PSI, which arises from a separate dimension and is the source of emotion and sensation. Amid rising tensions and flagging negotiations between the United States of America and the People's Republic of China, the European Union is collapsing due to growing misfortune across Europe. Two key factions are the Blademasters, a society who maintain world peace at all costs and share a special gene dubbed the "D Gene"; and the Sangokai, a Hong Kong-based crime syndicate which splintered from the Blademasters and are responsible for the catastrophes engulfing the world.
Like all natives of Naltor, Nura has the power to see the future and experience visions in dreams; she is rated one of the most powerful precognitives on the planet. Her hand-to-hand fighting skills—having trained with Karate Kid—combined with her ability to glimpse seconds into the future, made her a formidable short-term opponent in battle, capable of taking on The Persuader, but the sheer number of expanding possible futures in each second of a battle made it difficult for her to keep the advantage. Her precognitive abilities also give her an edge in strategic planning. Nura is a skilled scientist, specializing in biology; when Brainiac 5 quits the Legion after being acquitted of murdering the Infinite Man, team leader Polar Boy asks her to consider becoming the Legion's chief scientist.
In this book he explored in depth various theories and beliefs about time as well as his own research and unique conclusions, including an analysis of the phenomenon of precognitive dreaming, based in part on a broad sampling of experiences gathered from the British public, who responded enthusiastically to a televised appeal he made while being interviewed in 1963 on the BBC programme, Monitor. Statue outside the National Media Museum The University of Bradford awarded Priestley the title of honorary Doctor of Letters in 1970, and he was awarded the Freedom of the City of Bradford in 1973. This reconciliation is later tested when Bones's precognitive grandsire Mencheres's wife Patra uses grave magic to try to kill Bones and Cat, forcing Cat and her friends to band together to kill her. Other plot points in the series involve Cat discovering that in the past Mencheres had wiped the memory of a controlling vampire she used to love from her mind in order to ensure that she would meet and fall in love with Bones and that she would fulfill her destiny as a powerful vampire.
Also, it is stated that her dreams are confusing and open to interpretation, like the dreams of the heroes dying (The Butterfly Effect), although several events seem to appear as exactly as they are going to happen, like the interview with Dr. Chandra Suresh (1961). People with this power can also apparently have the same dream as when Peter copied it from her, he had the same precognitive dream that she did. Angela states that her dreams always come true and indicates she believes that what she sees is fated. (Heroes Reborn: June 13 - Part 1) Further demonstrations of her ability have shown that it goes beyond merely seeing the future, as Peter uses it at one point to visit the past, and Angela uses it to enter Sylar's dreams.
Pickles shoots Fry down, and proceeds to drink the liquor, successfully damaging his brain and precognitive abilities. However, URL and the police chief choose this moment to appear from behind mirrored glass, and Fry and Bender stand up and expose their bulletproof armor. They reveal they became aware of the set-up when Pickles showed Bender sharing the deadly liquor with the Planet Express crew, which is unlikely to happen as Fry pointed out that Bender is an extremely selfish person and would never share anything (a statement that Bender strongly confirms), thus making the police realize the vision Pickles had shared was an attempt to deceive them. Fry receives his investigator's shield for stopping Bender and Pickles, but is also fired for tipping off Bender in the first place.
At one point plastic surgery is conducted on him without his consent. He is forced at another point to pursue careers selling shoes at Zappos or working in a laundromat to impress a woman. His knowledge of film is seemingly deteriorating, as he constantly and surreally misquotes and misremembers many movies. Several other plotlines concern the St. Augustine Monster, a war fought between android clones of Donald Trump and a fictitious fast food restaurant called Slammy's, a murder attempt by Abbott and Costello on a rival comedy team Mudd and Molloy, which is depicted in Cutbirth's film, and several forms of time travel, including by a precognitive meteorologist, clones of other characters (including Trump and a more financially successful B), and a virus invented by a sapient ant living in the distant future.
The teleporting Inhuman Gordon fails to rescue Lincoln Campbell from Hydra, and Raina recognizes the injuries he receives from a dream she once had, discovering her new Inhuman precognitive abilities. S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson offers a truce to the group of agents who oppose his leadership, agreeing to unlock Nick Fury's "toolbox", containing his secret files on S.H.I.E.L.D. and many known enhanced individuals, for them in exchange for their help in fighting Hydra. Coulson also works with Grant Ward, a former S.H.I.E.L.D.-turned-Hydra agent who has agreed to temporarily work with the team in exchange for Coulson's protection of Kara Palamas, another former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was brainwashed by Hydra. Sunil Bakshi, the Hydra agent who brainwashed Palamas and was subsequently brainwashed himself by Ward, reveals the location of Hydra's Arctic base, where Agent Mike Peterson is being experimented on alongside Campbell.
A young Sho was asked to divide the group using his precognitive powers and send only those who would allow a new fate to the new dimension - those with the change materia. Sho and the random five allies had the "change" materia, while The End and the random five traitors were sentenced to stay in the doomed world. Due to The End's ability to travel between dimensions, each of the different permutations for the allies in a playthrough represent a different dimension where Sho chose different allies (but always chose The End as one of those to leave behind). The End rigged the whole erasure system to force a more mature Sho to suffer the weight of his actions in knowingly sending a comrade to their death, and to relive his choices from ten years earlier.
Its eventually revealed that Destiny foresaw not only her own death but also the rise of Krakoa as a paradise and told Mystique about it, urging her to do everything Mystique could do to bring her back from the dead. She also warned Mystique that while Krakoa's leaders would keep promising her they will bump Destiny to the top of the resurrection list in exchange for Mystique's help fighting mutantkind's enemies, they would desperately, for some reason, avoid resurrecting any precogs in particular. It transpired that Moira X was forbidding her resurrection, as well as anyone else with precognitive abilities, out of fear that they will learn the truth: That mutants always lose.Powers of X #6 Destiny also warned Mystique that if she could not bring her back, she must then burn the entire place to the ground.
He, like all Olympians, can regenerate at an accelerated pace and possesses some resistance to magic due to his divine, otherworldly nature and inborn resilience. Zeus possesses the ability to manipulate vast amounts of cosmic and mystical energy for a variety of purposes, including temporary augmentation of his superhuman physical abilities, firing powerful bolts of electrical force energy, changing his shape and size at will, opening and closing inter-dimensional apertures, sending himself and others through these dimensions, creating mountains, granting superhuman abilities and properties to living beings or inanimate objects, and the power to generate great amounts of electrical energy and discharge it as lightning bolts. Zeus can also control the mystical life energies of other Olympian gods, and has removed and restored much of his son Hercules' divine attributes several times in the past. Zeus possesses limited precognitive abilities that allow him to glimpse various alternate futures.
Thus, he is often surprised to find out weeks later what his work is actually depicting. Also due to the previous heroin use, Isaac was not able to clearly remember certain images after he painted them, as he stated in "Better Halves". It would seem that his precognitive abilities also augment his natural abilities as a painter, as Simone once complimented how much she appreciates the works he creates when he is high, and from the way Peter completed the unfinished portrait in "Hiros" when he first actively duplicated Isaac's power despite the latter having no innate talents whatsoever as a painter. It showed that Peter was painting an image he could partially see, so it could be suggested that Isaac's power allows one to trace an image from the future, rather than paint it from scratch Originally, Isaac's powers were triggered by the use of heroin, and he was unable to use his powers without it.
She later appears to have been killed in battle; however, Brainiac 5 places her body in stasis and works to revive her. Although he fails to fully resurrect her, she becomes a spirit with the ability to appear to anyone in their dreams or daydreams. At first dismissed as a delusion in the mind of the grieving Brainiac 5 (he even claims that his "Nura" may be a facet of his intuitive subconscious, appearing to him while daydreaming in a form suited to appease his tastes), Nura's presence in Brainiac 5 mind becomes a well-known fact, worrying Princess Projectra, who, in a bid to destroy the Legion for their inability to save Orando, fears Nura's precognitive sight. When Brainiac 5 has a female spirit medium channel Nura's mind enough to share some physical intimacy, Projectra uses her powers on the id to have the inhibitions and urges in Brainiac 5's mind viciously attack Nura when she returns to his body.
Agents who are young would, if they were rational and precognitive, consider all future interest rates and wage rates in deciding how much to save and work in the current as well as in their remaining future years. This path of interest rates and wage rates will, in turn, depend on the course of the economy's relative supplies of capital and labor, since these relative supplies determine whether capital or labor is relatively scarce in any given future year and, therefore, what these factors of production will get paid in the competitive market. The paths of capital and labor will be determined by the aggregation of the saving and labor supply decisions of the individual agents alive through time. Thus a young person's decision about consuming and working today depends, in part, on what he believes will be the interest and wage rates when he's middle age and old, for example, age 90.
Cassandra Webb was born in Salem, Oregon. She is a paralyzed, blind, telepathic, clairvoyant, and precognitive mutant, allowing her to work as a professional medium. She was originally stricken with myasthenia gravis and was connected to a life support system designed by her husband Jonathan Webb, which included a series of tubes shaped like a spider-web. When Spider-Man approached her to help find kidnapped Daily Globe publisher K.J. Clayton (actually an impersonator), Madame Web used her powers to help him locate and rescue both the real and the fake Clayton, but disclosed to him that she had divined his secret identity. The Amazing Spider-Man #210 In the "Nothing Can Stop the Juggernaut!" story arc, she contacts Spider-Man for assistance when Black Tom Cassidy dispatches the Juggernaut to capture her in the hope that her psychic powers would help them defeat the X-Men, only for her to nearly die after Juggernaut separated her from her life-support system.
Happy is initially shocked to discover that he, Carla, and 98 other unborn Exceed were transported to Earth-land by their kind with the directive of killing dragon slayers such as Natsu; however, the two later learn that the "mission" is actually a cover-up for an evacuation effort arranged by the precognitive Exceed queen Chagot following her prediction of their kingdom's destruction, with the pretense of hunting dragon slayers derived from her visions of future events. Happy continues to support Natsu and the guild for the duration of the series, which eventually results in Happy helping Natsu become human upon the discovery that he is an Etherious demon created by the dark wizard Zeref, and later assisting Fairy Tail and their allies' efforts to trap and eventually kill the evil dragon Acnologia within the defensive spell Fairy Sphere. By the end of Fairy Tail, Happy accompanies his team on a "century quest", a guild mission that has never been accomplished in less than 100 years.
Throughout 2005, publishing company Black Flame released a series of Final Destination books which faithfully follow the premise of the films, with each involving a group of people who find themselves targeted by Death after surviving a catastrophe of some sort due to a character experiencing a precognitive vision. Their first five novels all featured original stories, with the first novel, entitled Dead Reckoning, has punk rocker Jessica Golden saving herself and several others from the collapse of Club Kitty in Los Angeles, earning Death's ire. Destination Zero, also set in LA, has magazine employee Patricia Fuller and few others survive a train bombing and afterward, while being stalked by Death, Patti learns this is not the first time her family has been hunted by the entity. End of the Line has a group of New York City subway crash survivors, led by twins Danny and Louise King, trying to escape Death, who uses an unknowing agent to hasten its acquisition of the survivors.
2 #201 A large energy transfer of black and gold follows, and she is incapacitated, though the New X-Men are both confused as to what she meant and unsure of whether she is dead or merely unconscious. Right as Pixie goes to get help from Shadowcat, the Institute is attacked by Exodus and his Acolytes. After examining her, Exodus states that Blindfold is dead and she is no longer a priority to them and they continue on to look for Destiny's Diaries in the mansion, but in spite of this she does not 'smell dead' to X-23, and Prodigy theorizes that Blindfold's precognitive abilities forewarned her of Exodus' coming and so she used Elixir's powers to put herself in a deathlike sleep. Shadowcat subsequently operates on Blindfold, who finally awakens to speak further cryptic predictions about the X-Men's handicapped situation, saying that soon Hellion, Pixie, Nightcrawler and someone else she cannot recall will be hurt.
Philip K. Dick employed tuckerization in his short story "Waterspider", in which he sent fellow author Poul Anderson ahead in time to a future where science fiction authors were seen as having precognitive abilities. Fiona Kelleghan, a science fiction critic, has been tuckerized a few times by authors whom she wrote about: in Corrupting Dr. Nice by John Kessel, in Galveston by Sean Stewart, in Run by Douglas E. Winter, twice in the WWW Trilogy by Robert J. Sawyer (once as a character under her maiden name, "Feehan", and once as her real-world self), and in Spondulix by Paul Di Filippo. British science fiction writer Simon R. Green repeatedly tuckerizes Ansible editor David Langford, killing him off in various grisly ways and then gleefully notifying Ansible about the latest killing. Similarly, science fiction fan Joe Buckley, who maintains a website dedicated to detailing information about the publications of Baen Books, has been tuckerized in books by a number of Baen authors, including Eric Flint and David Weber, dying a variety of unpleasant deaths.
Blindfold was born without eyes, a condition known as anophthalmia, but in exchange, she is psionic, though the full extent of her abilities is unknown. She has been shown in Astonishing X-Men using telepathy and New X-Men to sometimes psychically sense events when other telepaths apparently did not, such as Belasco pulling everyone inside the mansion into Limbo. During her appearances in Astonishing X-Men she used telepathy, and in her most recent appearances in New X-Men and X-Men, she has been said to be a clairvoyant, retrocognitive and precognitive mutant, meaning that she is able to see distant, past, and future places or events; her power is so great that she was immune- albeit to a limited degree- to the reality warp caused by Legion's 'Moira' personality that created the 'Age of X', allowing her to be aware that something was wrong with the world. This goes into full reality anchoring when Legion undid his own birth erasing himself from existence, Ruth was the only individual to remember David even lived after time & space had reset itself when her missing abilities were restored.
