They perform popular songs with cheeky lyrics and the musical hits of the year, typical songs depending on the geographical location, some also compose their own songs or make their own potpourris.

Plants, primitive bird houses, yard ornaments, potting sheds, quilts, herbal vinegars and oils, handmade baskets, candles, soaps, furniture, potpourris, stoneware, and much more are provided by over 100 vendors from Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado and Arkansas.

Polemonium caeruleum was voted the County Flower of Derbyshire in 2002 following a poll by the wild plant conservation charity Plantlife. Today, the plant is usually used in potpourris and is boiled in olive oil to make black dyes and hair dressing, but it has few other significant uses. Bees work the flowers for both pollen and nectar. Flowers of other species of Polemonium are also useful honey bee forage.

The commonly grown garden decorative Shirley poppy is a cultivar of this plant. The black seeds are edible, and can be eaten either on their own or as an ingredient in bread. Oil made from the seed is highly regarded in France. The petals contain a red dye which is used in some medicines and wines, also the dried petals are occasionally used to give colour to potpourris.

After hearing Thalberg play, in Vienna, Chopin wrote: "He plays splendidly, but he's not my man.
