They showed that trigonotarbids are closely related to a group of arachnids which have gone under various names (Caulogastra, Arachnidea, etc.), but for which the name Tetrapulmonata has become most widespread. Members of the Tetrapulmonata include spiders, whip spiders, whip scorpions and Schizomida and, together with trigonotarbids, share characters like two pairs of book lungs and similar mouthparts with fangs operating rather like a pocket knife.

On 5 December 1952, 29-year-old Yugoslav migrant Zora Kusic was murdered at her shack in North Parade, Torrensville, with her mutilated body being found by a resident of a nearby boarding house. Kusic had had her head nearly severed with a pocket knife, which was found in a bloodstained dish of water near the bed. Police believed that she had met her murderer at a hotel or wine bar before taking him to her hut, and so, they investigated every hotel in Torrensville. Both the South Australian and immigrant community, appalled by the severity of the crime, provided every little bit of evidence they had in order to solve it.

Timothy S. Leatherman is the founder, chairman and chief executive of Leatherman Tool Group, Inc.. Leatherman graduated from Oregon State University in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. According to an article in The Oregonian, "Leatherman came up with the idea of a 'Boy Scout knife with pliers' during a 1975 driving tour of Europe with his wife, when he was unable to use his pocket knife to fix his repeatedly malfunctioning car." It took him several months afterwards to refine his idea, and he was granted a patent on the first Leatherman tool in 1980. Leatherman spent the next few years attempting to market his product to large companies with technical staff, such as AT&T;, but this was largely unsuccessful.

His first book there was Majesteit, uw ontbijt (Your Majesty, Your Breakfast) (1988) after the TV series of the same name that he had written for the VPRO. He wrote a lot for TV at that time: Max Laadvermogen (Max Load Capacity) (1986), De freules (Her Ladyships) (1990) and in 1991 the TV series and the film Het zakmes (The Pocket-knife), after the book he had published in 1981 with In de Knipscheer.

He takes refuge in the house of an old man, and during the process of tying him up, the old man pulls a concealed pocket knife and stabs Johann deeply. Johann takes the old man’s car and drives until he notices a helicopter following him, after which he switches cars with some motorists at a rest stop, and seemingly evades the police.

Captivated by the horse, Alec later sneaks to the horse to feed him some sugar cubes, but he is caught by the horse's supposed owner, who tells him in Arabic to stay away from Shetan and shoves the boy away. Later in his bunk, Alec's father shows Alec his winnings from a card game and gives him a pocket knife and a small statue of Bucephalus, and tells the story of how Alexander the Great became Bucephalus' master. Later that night, Alec is thrown out of his bunk; the ship has caught fire and begun to sink.
