When a huge Justo Major Pelvis allows such an extremely rapid vaginal birth, there can be tears of the perineal soft tissues.

This all started in 2018 when Zellner, through Avery, filed a motion to have "suspected human" bones that were being held by the Wisconsin Department of Justice be tested for DNA. The bones to be tested came from three different burn piles within the Manitowoc County owned quarry; amongst them was a pelvic bone fragment. New technology used to identify victims in the California wildfires would allow Zellner, if she had won that appeal, to test the bones to see if they matched the DNA of Teresa Halbach, Avery's suspected victim. However, when the motion was filed, Zellner soon discovered that the State had returned the bones to Halbach's family.

The statue also forms a major symbolic plot point in the 2009 Margaret Mascarenhas novel The Disappearance of Irene Dos Santos. In 2001, it was the inspiration for distinguished poet 's poem "The pelvic bone"; in the poem, the narrator travels into Caracas for a protest and sees the statue. The image of the pelvis – its "most notable feature" – stays in the narrator's mind, and the poem goes on to address the statue directly. In their book, Venezuela experts David Smilde and Daniel Hellinger write that, in Pantin's poem, the statue is seen to represent María Lionza as the mother of the nation, and the pelvis represents its symbolic birth.

Their first season started with a schedule of 14 races, with Mara Reyes (Telmex #1 Pontiac) taking pole position for the season opener in Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a race where 26 cars started the race, a big number for Mexican motorsports. This race was won by Jorge Goeters (Canel's #18 Pontiac), after 90 laps to the oval. The series then went to Guadalajara and Querétaro, races won by Carlos Contreras, but bad luck came in the 4th race in Monterrey, where in lap 37 of the race, driver Marcelo Núñez lost control of his car, and was struck at full speed by Rafael Vallina. Núñez spent a week in intensive therapy, only to die of complications by the crash, including a broken pelvic bone a perforated lung.

In December 2015, reports emerged that New York City were attempting to claim Harrison as a homegrown player because he had played with club youth affiliate Manhattan Soccer Club for the previous three years, allowing them to sign him before the draft. However this claim was rejected by MLS, and Harrison entered the 2016 MLS SuperDraft as the youngest available player. On 14 January 2016, he was selected as the #1 overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by Chicago Fire and traded to New York City for the #4 overall pick, Brandon Vincent, plus allocation money. Shortly after the draft it was discovered that Harrison had a fractured pelvic bone which left him on the sidelines for the first three months of his New York City career.

Chatters said that the "presence of Caucasoid traits [and a] lack of definitive Native-American characteristics", as well as the apparent context of the skeleton as part of an early Paleo-American group led him to conclude that the body was "Caucasian", an anthropological term not synonymous with "white" or "European". A small bone fragment was submitted to the University of California, Riverside, for radiocarbon dating, which dated the skeleton as 9,300 to 9,600 years old (8,400 uncalibrated "radiocarbon years"), and not from the 19th century, as had originally been thought. On X-ray, nothing appeared.

They scrape away the suet that is upon the spinal column from within, where lies the flesh of the loins which is called [in Arabic] mutemaziqah, and they excise [the fatty tissue from] the mutemaziqah, [surgically removing] all of the [forbidden] fat (suet) that lies upon it externally.
