At Leeds, however, the succession to Revie could not have been more controversial, especially when, as the Leeds website itself says of the club's ageing team, "Leeds were on the wane". On 20 July, Brian Clough was appointed team manager of Leeds, parting company with Brighton & Hove Albion and his erstwhile assistant Peter Taylor, who succeeded him as Brighton manager. In 1985, Rogers left both Rambert and Incantation and joined the post-punk group the Fall, initially as temporary bassist replacing Stephen Hanley. After Hanley's return from paternity leave, Rogers joined the Fall as on guitar and keyboards for the album This Nation's Saving Grace and co-writing several songs on the follow-up Bend Sinister. He produced their top 20 album The Frenz Experiment (1988) before parting company with the group. During this period, he also produced two albums for Bauhaus singer Peter Murphy. The Leaf Label was created in late 1994 by Tony Morley; at that time, Press Officer at 4AD in London, along with his friend Julian Carrera, then working for music press company Stone Immaculate. The label debuted in early 1995 with a 12" release by Boymerang, aka Graham Sutton of the influential post- rock band Bark Psychosis, and early releases also included two volumes of the 'Invisible Soundtracks' series of EPs. Apache was towing White Sands to the Atlantic to employ Trieste II in a search for the sunken nuclear submarine USS Scorpion (SSN-589) off the Azores.On 3 February 1969, Apache got underway from San Diego towing the auxiliary repair dock USS White Sands (ARD-20), which was carrying Trieste II, bound for the Atlantic to employ Trieste II in investigating the 1968 loss of the nuclear submarine USS Scorpion (SSN-589). They reached the Azores on 21 May 1969, where they were joined by the high-speed transport USS Ruchamkin (APD-89), which had been assigned to support them. From 2 June 1969 until 2 August 1969, Apache, White Sands, and Ruchamkin maintained station near Trieste II while the bathyscaphe investigated the remains of Scorpion. On 7 August 1969, Apache took White Sands, again carrying Trieste II, under tow and, parting company with Ruchamkin, began the long voyage back to San Diego, which they reached on 7 October 1969.
