The design of the school was selected by competition. A circular letter dated July 22, 1899 was sent to a large number of well known Washington architectural firms inviting them to participate. A musical-talent TV show that travelled around small towns opened the door for Spasiuk to perform at provincial festivals. When he finished high school, he went to Posadas, capital of Misiones, to study anthropology, but soon after dropped out. Nevertheless, there he was exposed to other musical genres, and met pianist Norberto Ramos, who convinced him to go to Buenos Aires to study with him. Spasiuk then played in small places in Buenos Aires as well as in some festivals around the country, and even received an invitation to participate of the Eurolatina festival in the Netherlands.

The objective of this first Spanish and Portuguese-speaking advertising festival, has been since then, to promote and integrate the communication of the region. The globalization of the communications and the use of new techniques made the FIAP to widen its spectrum with the creation of new disciplines matching those changes: Media Innovation, Audiovisual Production Techniques and Interactive and Direct Marketing are the most relevant. More than 8500 advertisements compete in the Festival, and around 2000 delegates from Ibero-America, United States and Europe participate of the event every year.

It also took part in the pitching sessions at The Buenos Aires Lab of The Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI). Tears was also finalist of the Emergence Contest in Paris, presided by actor Gérard Depardieu.

Flavia Eberhard is the presenter, host and co-producer of TV series APNEIA for Canal OFF where she travels around the world freedving in the most beautiful locations looking for the most incredible animal encounters. Flavia is a co- founder and partner of Sea Dragons audiovisual where she helps produce, film and photograph videos, some of which have participate of a short film festival Silently in Belgrade with the films Encounters in 2014 and Mabul in 2015. Eberhard has presented a documentary for Brazilian TV Canal Off about freediving in January 2015. She also writes and contributes in articles of magazines and a speaker in shows and conferences on the topic of freediving and underwater photography and videography.

The 2014 Copa FGF (also known as the 2014 Copa Fernandão in this edition, in posthumous tribute) was the 11th season of the Copa FGF, the main domestic cup competition in Rio Grande do Sul football, which is a knockout cup competition. The tournament began on 6 August and ended on 8 October with the second leg of final. In this year, 22 clubs of the state decided to participate in the Copa FGF, which varies in number of participants according to the interest of clubs in the first, second and third divisions of the Campeonato Gaúcho. This time, one of the two greatest clubs in the state, the Grêmio, decided to not participate of the competition.

For over a hundred years the school has maintained a tradition of sports, and by 1890 Hanley Castle Grammar School was fielding a cricket team. Students represent the school in a number of sports including hockey, netball, rugby, football, volleyball, tennis, cricket, badminton, athletics, cross-country and swimming, and the facilities include a sports hall and a fully equipped gymnasium, outdoor tennis courts, and two large fields for cricket, rugby, track, and athletics. The school continues an ancient tradition and hosts an annual sporting event known as the "Hanley Run" in which around 900 runners compete in a cross country running race. While the run is compulsory for junior students, everyone from year 10 and above, (including staff) may participate of their own free will.

In the Campeonato Brasileiro São Paulo finished in 11th position and was eliminated by Internacional in first round of Copa Sudamericana.

Colegio Oakland (Oakland School) through its Colombia Space School Program has invited over a hundred and fifty students, ranking from ages 10 to 18, from a dozen different Colombian schools to participate of NASA Educational Programs in Space Center Houston, Goddard Space Flight Center, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Johnson Space Center, Kennedy Space Center, in the United States since 2009 through the multi curricular STEM / STEAM program to strengthen problem-solving, critical and creative- thinking skills, adding to overall academic achievement and school success. Inspiring young people to gain an interest in physics, engineering, space science and STEM / STEAM subjects, science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. This very special Christmas edition starts when Jane Lynch addresses the audience to explain that the original 2012 Christmas episode of Glee was banned for being too offensive, but fan complaints have convinced Fox to air a severely edited version. Tina, Marley Rose (Melissa Benoist) and Wade "Unique" Adams (Alex Newell) compete for the role of Virgin Mary, and invite Kitty Wilde (Becca Tobin) to audition with them, but she refuses.
