In 1902, Elizabeth and her sister Lily Yeats joined Evelyn Gleeson in establishing a craft studio at Dundrum, near Dublin, called Dun Emer. In the 1890s, Passmore recorded nine stones surviving as part of the circle, but by the early 21st century there were only five. Passmore's investigation found that some of the stones were up to in length. It is possible that there were stone rows or avenues connecting to the circle. In the 1890s, Passmore recorded a line of five stones leading towards the north of the circle, which might have represented such an avenue, although by the 21st century these stones were also gone.

As an admired champion, he naturally became part of the circle of Alexander the Great. In that context, he accepted a challenge from one of Alexander's most skilled soldiers named Coragus to fight in front of Alexander and the troops in armed combat. While Coragus fought with weapons and full armour, Dioxippus showed up armed only with a club and defeated Coragus without killing him, making use of his pankration skills. Later, however, Dioxippus was framed for theft, which led him to commit suicide.

The anterior cerebral artery (ACA) is one of a pair of arteries on the brain that supplies oxygenated blood to most midline portions of the frontal lobes and superior medial parietal lobes. The two anterior cerebral arteries arise from the internal carotid artery and are part of the circle of Willis. The left and right anterior cerebral arteries are connected by the anterior communicating artery. Anterior cerebral artery syndrome refers to symptoms that follow a stroke occurring in the area normally supplied by one of the arteries.

Promenade MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the Downtown line (DTL) and Circle line (CCL) in Downtown Core, Singapore, located underneath Temasek Avenue and adjacent to Millenia Tower. The station is at the junction of the Dhoby Ghaut and Marina Bay branches of the Circle line. The station opened on 17 April 2010 as part of the Circle line Stages 1 and 2. On 15 January 2012, the CCL branches out from this station to Marina Bay via Bayfront station.

Henriette Hardenberg (February 5, 1894 – October 26, 1993), born Margarete Rosenberg, was a German-Jewish poet who emigrated to Britain in the late 1930s. In the 1910s, she was part of the circle of writers around the magazine Die Aktion, which championed literary Expressionism. In her poems, she examined the relationship between people and their bodies, especially the skin as both an interface between self and world and a limiting factor. In a late interview, she said that her work expressed a desire to transcend the limits of the body.

He returned to Munich in 1838. Shortly after, he exhibited his painting of Tyrol Castle in Brussels, where it was purchased by King Leopold I. He then returned to Düsseldorf; living with his sister and her husband, the architect Max Josef Custodis (1805-1885), and travelling with other artists throughout the region. He spent the years 1842-45 in Italy, mostly in Rome, where his palette brightened considerably. After 1845, he went back to Frankfurt am Main and became part of the circle of artists associated with Philipp Veit.

This season sees the introduction of several new characters in Mirador de Montepinar. Judith Bécker, an attractive and successful psychologist, moves into the Attic A flat. She becomes part of the circle of friends of the younger group of women (Raquel, Nines and Lola) in the building, who develop a somewhat fractious relationship with the other, older group of women in the building; and other residents come to Judy for therapy. Another new arrival is Lola's mother, Estela Reynolds, who comes to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Part of the highway is a divided four-lane limited-access road that runs from the Alberta-Saskatchewan border to just west of the village of Bradwell, with the remaining part to the Manitoba border being an undivided two-lane highway. The road also serves as part of the Circle Drive in Saskatoon. The Yellowhead began as the Yellowhead Red River cart trail.

Initially a part of the Land of Sanok of the Ruthenian Voivodeship, in 1772 it became a part of the Circle of Lesko and in 1864 back to the starostship of Sanok. The town's economy gradually got back on track as it became a local centre of foodstuffs trade for the local peasants. In 1872 the town became the property of Stanisław Potocki and his wife Anna Działyńska, who started to develop a local spa. Much like the nearby town of Iwonicz Zdrój, Rymanów quickly developed into a popular resort for the inhabitants of Lwów.

Stein Barth-Heyerdahl (12 July 1909 – 1972) was a Norwegian art painter and Nazi. A reluctant member of Nasjonal Samling (NS) briefly after its founding in 1933–34 and from 1941, he was mostly active in the National Socialist Workers' Party of Norway (NNSAP) during the 1930s. He was editor of the short- lived NNSAP-paper Nasjonalsocialisten in 1934–35. Barth-Heyerdahl lived in Berlin for extended periods during World War II, and became part of the circle around the NS-critical periodical Ragnarok, which espoused pan-German and neopagan ideologies.

Hodge went home in early January 1936, but returned the following July to spend the summer holidays there. He was kept busy helping with a planned series of schoolbooks, contributing to Epilogue, and writing poems. During July the Spanish Civil War broke out, and on 2 August, acting on official advice, the entire household left Majorca aboard a British destroyer. Hodge settled in London with his new girlfriend Beryl Pritchard, a PPE student he had met at Oxford, but remained a part of the circle of writers and artists dominated by Laura Riding.

Jonny Star spent her first ten years in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area before moving to the Hochsauerland region (North Rhine- Westphalia) with her parents and two sisters. There her parents opened an alternative hotel which became the vacation destination of the Düsseldorf art and theater scene in the 1970s. Jonny Star's mother belonged to the scene as part of the circle of the American theatre director and theatre manager Ernest Martin from the late 1960s on. In 1982 Jonny Star left her home and became part of the West Berlin subculture.

Born in Far Rockaway, New York City, Larry Fagin grew up in New York, Hollywood, and Europe. He began associating with poets and writers in 1957, meeting David Meltzer in Los Angeles, and Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, and Gregory Corso two years later in Paris. In 1962 he became part of the circle of poets around Jack Spicer in San Francisco, and befriended Michael McClure, Philip Whalen, and Robert Duncan. At the end of 1965 he traveled to London where he lived for two years and met his first wife, Joan Inglis.

In addition to being part of the circle of Lorenzo de' Medici, his friends included the poet Lorenzo Strozzi, and he was the music teacher of the son of Niccolò Machiavelli. He also may have been one of the teachers of Francesco Corteccia, the most prominent Florentine musician of the middle of the 16th century. Some of Bartolomeo's children and grandchildren also became well-known musicians in Florence, including his sons Antonio, Lorenzo, and Piero, and his grandson Baccio degli Organi, a Florentine music teacher in the 16th century.

Etherege was part of the circle of John Wilmot; both men had a daughter by the unmarried actress Elizabeth Barry.Cambridge Guide to Literature in English (Recently all three have appeared as characters in the 2005 film The Libertine, based on a play by Stephen Jeffreys.) After his success, Etheredge retired from literature, and a few years later lost much of his fortune to gambling. He was knighted at some time before 1679, and married a wealthy widow, Mary Sheppard Arnold. In March 1685, he was appointed resident minister to the Imperial German Court at Ratisbon.

Miller Academy House at Lake Forest In the AIA Guide to Chicago, the Ponds are identified as part of the "circle of young architects", including Frank Lloyd Wright, that was responsible for "transforming the concepts of the Arts & Crafts movement into the indigenous Prairie School." Pond was a contemporary, and in some ways rival, of Wright in the Chicago architectural scene of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Both were members of the Chicago Architectural Club and served as judges and participants in the Club's annual competitions.

Upon arriving in Sydney he became associated with William Morris Hughes, later Prime Minister of Australia. Desmond collaborated with Hughes on a political broadsheet which evolved into a radical periodical titled The New Order, and he became part of the circle surrounding McNamara's BookshopLyons and Arnold eds. A History of the Book in Australia 1891–1945 (University of Queensland Press, 2001) pp. 146–149. at 221 Castlereagh Street (demolished in 1922), associating with Louisa Lawson and her son Henry, Jack Lang, Tommy Walker, and future Prime Minister Alfred Deakin.

Even the early drafts already showed a distinct, individual style. Finally truly committed to literature, he returned to Buenos Aires in 1912, becoming part of the circle of Alejandro Bustillo. On October 13, 1913 he married Adelina del Carril, also from one of the city's leading families, whom he had first met in 1905. In 1913–1914, he published several stories in the magazine Caras y Caretas; in 1915, these and others were published as Cuentos de muerte y de sangre; earlier that year he had published a book of poetry, El cencerro de cristal.

By Anna Forlani Tempesti, pages 332-3 He was born in Cortona, was part of the circle of Annibale Carracci and Domenichino, and trained under Giovanni Battista Viola in Rome. In Rome, he worked for Cardinal Pier Paolo Crescenzi. There are only two still-life paintings known with his signature; he thus was one of the first Italian artists in Rome working in this style. The Giustiniani inventories of 1638 cite paintings by Bonzi, and other still-lifes are documented in the 1670 inventory of Principe Lorenzo Onofrio Colonna's collection.

He became part of the circle of the Secretary of State for the Navy, the marquis de Seignelay, then of his successor Louis Phélypeaux, comte de Pontchartrain, who appointed him officer of marine troops. On his return to Port Royal, LaMothe learned that the English admiral William Phips had seized the city, and that his wife, daughter, and son were being held captives. They were released in exchange for some English prisoners. In 1691, Cadillac repatriated his family to Quebec, but their ship was attacked by a privateer out of Boston, who took possession of all their goods.

Soon after its opening, the stadium became a popular venue for large-scale rock concerts and is the largest indoor concert venue in Toronto. Artists have included Bruce Springsteen, U2 with two concerts in 2009, as well as their concert in 2011, all part of their 360° Tour. Bon Jovi performed two sellout shows on July 20 and 21, 2010, at Rogers Centre as part of The Circle Tour. The Rolling Stones played two sold-out concerts at the stadium: on December 4, 1989, during the Steel Wheels Tour and on September 26, 2005, during their highest-grossing tour A Bigger Bang Tour.

The museum displays a number of works from Hungarian sculptors such as Károly Alexy, Maurice Ascalon, Miklós Borsos, Gyula Donáth, János Fadrusz, Béni Ferenczy, István Ferenczy and Miklós Izsó. It also exhibits paintings and photographs by major Hungarian artists such as Brassai and Ervin Marton, part of the circle who worked in Paris before World War II. The gallery displays the work of artists such as Mihály Munkácsy and László Paál.

Cho Kang- hoon is the leader of Ki Cheon High and Kim Sung-kyu is the leader of Dang Young High. Kim Jong-il (Jo Byung-gyu), a Ki Cheon High student who does not want to be the part of the circle hence he wants to leave and live his life normally. He was sent with other students to bring Kim Kyu-soon on orders from Kim Young-ha, second-in-command of Ki Cheon High. He showed impressive fighting skills with a pen and after that, he left the circle and promised Kang-hoon never to fight.

On Villa's orders, Guzmán witnessed the entry of Venustiano Carranza's Constitutionalist Army to Mexico City, following the fall of Victoriano Huerta's government in July 1914. Carranza had him jailed, since as an adherent of Villa, formerly a Constitutionalist general who had broken with Carranza, Guzmán was a political enemy. He was released during the factional dispute between the Constitutionalists and the Army of the Convention, led by Villa. Guzmán went abroad to Paris and Madrid in 1914, where he began writing articles for the Spanish weekly magazine, España, founded by José Ortega y Gasset and became part of the circle of Spanish intellectuals.

Together with the Avala, the island of Veliko Ratno Ostrvo and the wood of Stepin Lug (and with forests of Košutnjak and Topčider to be added soon), the Kosmaj is a part of the circle of the protected green areas of Belgrade. The episode starts with Cassie (Britt Robertson) seeing through her bedroom window a stranger at Nick's (Louis Hunter) backyard. From what it seems, he looks like he is putting a fire. When he tells her grandmother, Jane (Ashley Crow), Jane tells her that he must be Nick's older brother, Jake (Chris Zylka) who came back to town for Nick's funeral. Jane also informs Cassie that their Circle is not broken now that Nick is gone, but it's still bounded because when they bound it, they bound their bloodlines, not them, meaning that Jake is part of the Circle and its sixth member.

Both works are dedicated to Queen Anne, who is praised in feminist prefaces. From 1702 Elstob was part of the circle of female intellectuals around Mary Astell, who helped to find subscribers for her Rudiments of Grammar for the English-Saxon Tongue (1715), the first such work written in English. The preface, "An Apology for the Study of Northern Antiquities", took issue with the formidable Jonathan Swift, and seems to have caused him to amend his views. After her brother's death in 1715, she was left without a home and plagued by debts he had incurred in financing their expensive publications.

Born Annie Pink to a wealthy Jewish family, Annie Reich took a degree in medicine from 1921–26;Reich, Annie became interested in psychoanalysis at the same time; began an analysis with Wilhelm Reich (interrupted by their marriage in 1922); continued analysis with Hermann Nunberg; and also had a training analysis with Anna Freud. She had two daughters - Eva Reich and Lore Reich Rubin - with Reich before their separation in 1933. Thereafter Annie Reich moved with her children to Prague, to become part of the circle around Otto Fenichel; before emigrating to the States on the eve of World War Two.

Fallon was born and raised in Athenry, County Galway; his upbringing and his early impressions of the town and the surrounding landscape are intimately described in his poetry. After passing the civil service exams in 1923 he moved to Dublin to work in the Customs House. In Dublin he became part of the circle of George William Russell (Æ) who encouraged his literary ambitions and arranged for the publication of his early poetry. He formed close friendships with Seumas O'Sullivan, editor of The Dublin Magazine, the poets Austin Clarke, Robert Farren, F.R. Higgins and Patrick McDonagh, and later the novelist James Plunkett.

In his autobiography The Buried Day (1960), Day-Lewis wrote, "As a writer I do not use the hyphen in my surname – a piece of inverted snobbery which has produced rather mixed results". After the death of his mother in 1906, when he was two years old, Cecil was brought up in London by his father, with the help of an aunt, spending summer holidays with relatives in County Wexford. He was educated at Sherborne School and at Wadham College, Oxford. In Oxford, Day- Lewis became part of the circle gathered around W. H. Auden and helped him to edit Oxford Poetry 1927.

Romolo Griffini was born in Milan, in the fashionable (then as now) central district of the Via Monte Napoleone. He was one of the four recorded sons of Dr. Domenico Griffini by his marriage to Giovanna Vago. He grew up in Milan, at a young age becoming part of the circle of aristocratic and haut-bourgeois youths that formed a group around Cesare Correnti. He was one of those, together with Emilio Visconti Venosta and Antonio Colombo who in December 1847 got together, under Correnti's leadership, to produce the "Nipote del Vesta Verde", an "almanac" promoting the patriotic vision.

Fionnlagh MacCailein or Finlay Colini (died 1419) was a medieval Scottish bishop. Both his early life and the details of his career as Bishop of Dunblane are not well known, however it is known that he held the latter bishopric between 1403 and his death in 1419. He was part of the circle of Robert Stewart, Duke of Albany, and was one of the many clerics from west and central Gaelic-speaking Scotland who benefited from the latter's patronage. He is said to have authorised the construction of the first bridge over the river Allan at Dunblane.

Moritz Geiger studied law at the University of Munich in 1898, then history of literature in 1899, and finally philosophy and psychology in 1900, with Theodor Lipps. During the years 1901-1902, he studied experimental psychology with Wilhelm Wundt at Leipzig. Returning to Munich in 1904, he became part of the circle of students around Lipps, which included Alexander Pfänder, Adolf Reinach, Theodor Conrad, Aloys Fischer, Max Scheler, and Dietrich von Hildebrand. In 1906, Geiger attended Husserl's lectures in Göttingen, and became part of the Munich Circle of phenomenology, along with Reinach, Conrad, Fischer and Pfänder.

Lady Gaga made her professional debut on our stage as part of the Circle in the Square Cabaret Program. In the 1980s, Christopher Walken, Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minnelli, Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro and many other well known performers would use the Triad for their own weekly private performances. The Triad Theater has also been used as a location for photo and film shoots; these include an episode of the Hulu comedy Difficult People, episodes of the interview series Speakeasy for Front and Center, and the cover photo shoot of Adrien Brody for Manhattan Magazine and Miami Magazine.

After graduating he served as a magistrate in turn in Diest, Anderlecht and Ixelles, and contributed to Edmond Picard's Pandectes belges and to Le Journal des Tribunaux. He further contributed more than 400 articles to the Biographie Nationale de Belgique, and was the author of biographies of Don John of Austria and Charles V. As a writer he was best known as a poet, part of the circle of La Jeune Belgique. In 1921 he was elected to the Académie royale de langue et de littérature françaises de Belgique. He died in Ixelles on 3 January 1934.

The site has been scheduled as an ancient monument under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979, giving it a level of legal protection from alteration. Surveys have shown a marked deterioration in its condition – in 1950 Gray could identify 21 stones as part of the circle, but by 2009 the survey on behalf of Exmoor National Park Authority found only 10. Stones have also been added to the circle in recent years, and heritage managers face the question as to whether they should be removed or accepted as part of the circle's on-going biography.

After that, she became an illustrator, doing books and sheet music and working for the magazine Jugend, where her works often appeared on the front page. She was also part of the circle around Countess Marion Kaulitz (1865-?), a maker of artistic dolls that are now rare collector's items.

Pries joined the faculty of the Department of Architecture at the University of Washington in fall 1928 and soon became the center of the school. From 1928 to 1958, he was the inspirational teacher of a generation of architecture students at Washington, among them Minoru Yamasaki, A. Quincy Jones, Ken Anderson, Paul H. Kirk, Roland Terry, Fred Bassetti, Victor Steinbrueck, Perry Johanson, Wendell Lovett, and many others. From 1931 to 1932, Pries served as Director of the Art Institute of Seattle (predecessor to the Seattle Art Museum). For a time he was part of the circle of Northwest artists that included Kenneth Callahan, Morris Graves, and Guy Anderson.

Though not a part of the circle of women producing suffrage cartoons in New York, who were connected through Heterodoxy and other organizations, she kept close watch on their work and other efforts toward suffrage in both England and America, hiring a newspaper clipping service to save suffrage news from 1915 to 1916. In 1902, she began illustrating Oakes Ames's botanical publications, including his seven volume treatise on orchids, which is still considered one of the best researched to this day. Previously he had illustrated the orchids himself with watercolor. Blanche Ames Ames first used watercolors for the orchid illustrations, but later switched to copperplate etching.

However, by 1964 twenty-eight stones were found to be part of the circle. As of 1939, a hedge and bank split the circle in two, from north-to-south, separating the three most westerly stones from the rest of the circle. Investigations revealed that when the field to the east of the hedge was cleared in 1964, a large number of stones had been found on the surface and had been moved to the site of the other stones. It is possible that these other stones had also once been part of a prehistoric monument, such as a long barrow or round barrow, which had once existed in the vicinity.

Genoni was promoted to Premiere in 1903, the same year her daughter Fanny was born out of her relationship with her companion, the lawyer Alfredo Podreider, who she met when she was part of the circle of Pietro Gori. In 1905, Genoni added teaching the history of costume at the Professional School for Women at the Societa Umanitaria in Milan to her job at Maison H. Haardt et Fils and to her commitment to activism for peace and women's rights. She also directed the dress-making department at the Societa Umanitaria, a job she held until 1925, at which time she refused to swear an oath of loyalty to fascism.

That same month the stadium hosted Bon Jovi as part of The Circle Tour. Suncorp Stadium was also the site of the 2011 A-League Grand Final, drawing a crowd of over 50,000 for the climactic football event. The match was one of the dramatic in A-League history, with the Brisbane Roar scoring two goals in the last five minutes to level the scores with the Central Coast Mariners after several hundred home supporters had left the stadium early, many returning after hearing the stadium erupt while waiting for the train. The Roar went on to win 4–2 in the penalty shootout, making for an incredible victory.

Although she later became part of the circle surrounding Jacques-Louis David, she probably took no lessons from him. The purpose of the Polish king in paying for her education was that she should return to Poland and become a professor of art, but she chose to remain in Paris after her marriage to the miniaturist, Pierre-Marie Gault de Saint-Germain in 1788. She became the first Polish female to have her work represented at the Salon in 1791 and apparently continued to receive support from the king until 1792. Although she sent many paintings back to Warsaw, Bacciarelli considered few to be worthy of adding to the Royal Collection.

Passmore wrote two notebooks in which he discussed archaeological sites in Wiltshire. He recorded a local tradition that there had been a large stone circle near the railway bridge outside Swindon Old Town and the old Marlborough road to Ladder Hill. He also recorded that the circle had been broken up about thirty years prior and that as such he did not know how many stones had been part of the circle. He added that many small pieces of sarsen could be found at the circle.

In folklore, a crone is an old woman who may be disagreeable, malicious, or sinister in manner, often with magical or supernatural associations that can make her either helpful or obstructing. The Crone is also an archetypal figure, a Wise Woman. As a character type, the crone shares characteristics with the hag. The word became further specialized as the third aspect of the Triple Goddess popularized by Robert Graves and subsequently in some forms of neopaganism, particularly Wicca in which she symbolizes the Dark Goddess, the dark of the moon, the end of a cycle; together with the Mother and the Maiden she represents part of the circle of life.

She was elected to the Academy of arts in 1804 and took part in several of its exhibitions between 1804 and 1810. She returned to Germany in 1810, but spent the years from 1814–1816 in Sweden, where she resided in Uppsala as a part of the circle around the salonist Malla Silfverstolpe. Her friendship with Erik Gustaf Geijer and Per Daniel Amadeus Atterbom has been much discussed, and she is portrayed as a source of inspiration for many artists; she held a correspondence with Swedish artists after she returned to Germany. In Berlin, she established one of the most important literary salons of the early 19th century.

She was part of the circle of friends who comprised the artists community in Edinburgh at the time. The group included Dorothy Johnstone, Cecile Walton, Eric Robertson, David Macbeth Sutherland and Adam Bruce Thomson. A portrait of Finlay by her friend and fellow artist Johnstone featured in the posters and promotional materials associated with the Modern Scottish Women Exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in 2015–16. The portrait is owned by Aberdeen Art Gallery She was described as attractive and vivacious, with a 'certain disregard for propriety' and posed as a model for several of the artists in the group.

Samuel Aaron Tannenbaum (1874–1948) was a literary scholar, bibliographer, and palaeographer, best known for his work on William Shakespeare and his contemporaries. Tannenbaum was born in Hungary, then part of the Austro- Hungarian Empire; he emigrated to the United States in 1886, the year he turned fourteen, and became a citizen in 1895. Graduating from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1898, he pursued a career in psychotherapy, with a strong interest in the work of Sigmund Freud. He was part of the circle of early Freud supporters that included Ernest Jones and Sándor Ferenczi, and was connected with early efforts to establish an English- language journal of psychotherapy.

A son of the cotton merchant Giovanni Battista Bonsignori and his wife Giovanna Galeazzi, he began his education under an uncle who was a priest, before moving to the Archepiscopal Seminary of Milan. In 1759 he entered the oblates of Saints Ambrose and Charles and was ordained priest at the end of 1760. He served as a grammar teacher at the seminaries in Celana and Gorla, then as a rhetoric and theology teacher at the main seminary in Milan and the Helvetic College. During this time he became part of the circle of scholars gathered by cardinal Angelo Maria Durini - others included count Karl Joseph von Firmian, archbishop Giuseppe Pozzobonelli and Carlo Trivulzio.

Elfriede Lohse-Wächtler grew up in a middle-class family, but left at the age of 16 to study at the Royal Arts School Dresden from 1915 to 1918 (fashion, then applied graphics). From 1916 to 1919, she also attended drawing and painting courses at the Dresden Art Academy. She came into contact with the Dresden Secession Group 1919 and became part of the circle of friends around Otto Dix, Otto Griebel, and Conrad Felixmüller. Renting part of the studio of the latter near the Dresden city center she made a living with batiks, postcards and illustrations. In June 1921, she married the painter and opera singer , following him to Görlitz in 1922 and in 1925 to Hamburg.

It was built in 1869 by the Muldoon Monument Company of Louisville, Kentucky, at the cost of $2,200. The white marble obelisk stands high on a four square foot limestone base three feet high (25 feet high combined), with a Confederate flag draped atop it. The graves of 47 Confederate veterans who died during the Civil War, many of whom are unknown, and a substantial number of John Hunt Morgan's 2nd Kentucky Cavalry who twice raided the town of Cynthiana during the War, were transferred from another cemetery to encircle the monument. David M. Snyder died in 1896, and per his wishes to be buried with his companions, was placed as part of the circle.

He formed part of the circle surrounding Viața Românească, to which he began contributing in June 1906, with an article on folk tales. The co-director of Viața Românească's publishing house and bookstore, he played a key role in the magazine's relaunch in 1920, following World War I. His humorous prose (Schițe și amintiri, 1909; Ce cere publicul de la un deputat și alte schițe, 1912; Timothei mucenicul, 1913; Candidat fără noroc și alte povestiri folositoare, 1916; Înzăpădiți!, 1916; Domnul Nae – Scene din vremea ocupației, 1921; Decorația lui Vartolomei, 1924; Un prânz de gală, 1928) largely revolves around situational comedy, with buffoon-type effects.

They were, he noted, "not at all conspicuous", with none protruding for more than 18 inches above the turf and some barely visible. Passmore probed the ground with an iron bar to ascertain the location and dimensions of various stones in the circle. He also dug into the space between those stones he numbered four and five, discovering a piece of burnt sarsen and patch of white ash beneath the ground, evidence for the burning and cracking of sarsen on the site. He observed that the western part of the circle was largely occupied by cow yards and rick yards and suggested that most of the stones in this area had been broken up or removed.

During this period, Parkinson's academic career began to flourish as he published two critical works: W. B. Yeats, Self-Critic (1961) and W. B. He was also one of the first academic critics to appreciate and promote the works of Beat writers like Allen Ginsberg, but also of John Montague (poet), and Robert Duncan. He published his Casebook on the Beats in 1961. He became part of the circle of writers, including Lawrence Ferlinghetti, that helped evolve the San Francisco literary culture of the 1960s, and served as a unique voice as both critic and fellow-poet.

More modern texts divide the anterolateral central arteries into lateral and medial striate arteries. The lenticulostriate arteries originate from the initial segment of middle cerebral artery (MCA).

Aitken was born in Glasgow where her father, Robert Thomson Aitken, was a well regarded commercial printer and lithographer. Between 1887 and 1902 she studied at the Glasgow School of Art before continuing her studies in Paris at the Academie Colarossi. Returning to Glasgow, after some time in Spain, she became part of the circle of artists associated with Charles Rennie Mackintosh and a member of the informal group of artists known as "The Immortals", which also included Agnes Raeburn, Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, Jessie Newbery, Ruby Pickering, Katharine Cameron, Jessie Keppie and Frances McNair. Aitken also became a leading member of the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists and won that Society's Lauder Prize in both 1928 and 1937.

Display of the work of Julia Lopez as part of the Seis Artistas, Un Sueño exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Toluca Julia López is a self-taught Mexican painter whose works depict her childhood home in the Costa Chica region of Guerrero state. She was born in a small farming village but left early for Acapulco and Mexico City to find a better life. In the capital, she was hired as a model for artists at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda" and as such became part of the circle of notable artists of that time. Their influenced encouraged her to draw and paint, with Carlos Orozco Romero discouraging her from formal instruction as to not destroy her style.

According to her friend, Pamela Cullen, Seton "had a fascination for India and as a young woman she had been introduced to India’s fight for independence by one of India’s greatest political figures, Krishna Menon, who was then a struggling lawyer in London. She also had family associations with India through her father, who had served as an officer in the Indian Army and been seriously wounded during one of the many uprisings of the period".

For the ward as a whole, housing tenure statistics reveal a lower proportion of owner-occupancy than in the district overall: according to the 2011 Census, 60.2% of properties were owner-occupied against 73.6% in Mole Valley as a whole. On the Goodwyns estate itself, some properties are now owner-occupied and others are rented—mostly from the Mole Valley Housing Association. Formed in October 2007, this housing association is part of the Circle Housing Group and is responsible for the 3,850 synonymous with the district. The association is seeking to redevelop parts of the estate, and has submitted planning applications to build 19 more flats and three houses on various underutilised sites on the estate; partly to be available under shared ownership.

Route 60 intersects Route 99, and goes through Linden Square in the eastern part of town before entering the city of Revere. In Revere, the route intersects U.S. Route 1 at Copeland Circle, where the Northeast Expressway was planned to continue northward to carry Interstate 95 to its current path north of Route 128. Geo Dumitrescu (born Gheorghe Dumitrescu; May 17, 1920 - September 28, 2004) was a Romanian poet and translator. Born in Bucharest, his parents were Vasile Oprea (who changed his name to Vasile Dumitrescu), a craftsman and owner of a small shoe store and workshop, and his wife Aurelia (née Buiculescu). From 1930 to 1939, he attended Great Voivode Mihai High School in his native city. From 1939 to 1944, he studied at the literature and philosophy faculty of Bucharest University, but did not take his graduating examination. He made his debut in December 1939, with the poem "Cântec", which appeared in Cadran magazine under the pen name Vladimir Ierunca; from 1939 to 1940, he formed part of the circle surrounding the magazine.

She published her poetry in the liberal newspaper El Monitor Republicano, founded and directed by the Mexican journalist Vicente García Torres, and in the Diario del Hogar of Filomeno Mata, who described her as a "distinguished collaborator." Among her production, is the verse she wrote to Matilde Montoya, the first woman who studied and practiced medicine professionally in Mexico: I want, Matilde, in the name of my sex, to dedicate my song to you, so moved because you have opened a bright future to women in the venturous life... She participated in the gatherings of intellectuals and writers and was part of the circle of Mexican poets who prepared to send her work to the Chicago exhibition. Vicente Riva Palacio included her in his work El parnaso mexicano ("The Mexican Parnassus").

The London Underground (also known simply as the Underground, or by its nickname the Tube) is a rapid transit system serving Greater London and some parts of the adjacent counties of Buckinghamshire, Essex and Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. The Underground has its origins in the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground passenger railway. Opened in January 1863, it is now part of the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines; the first line to operate underground electric traction trains, the City & South London Railway in 1890, is now part of the Northern line. The network has expanded to 11 lines, and in 2017/18 was used for 1.357 billion passenger journeys, making it the world's 12th busiest metro system. The 11 lines collectively handle up to 5 million passenger journeys a day.

Manolo was born in Barcelona in 1872, the son of a general who soon abandoned his child to go fight in the Ten Years' War, and of a mother who died when Manolo was still young. He was friends with Pablo Picasso and a part of the circle at the 4 Gats, and lived in Paris from 1900 to 1909, where he was one of the people welcoming Picasso and introducing him to the artistic circles of the city. He was one of Picasso’s closest friends at the Bateau Lavoir, together with people like Guillaume Apollinaire and Max Jacob. In Paris, Manolo mostly worked on small sculptures and on jewellery to make a living. He was married to Jeanne de Rochette, known as Totote, a barmaid from around Montmartre, in or shortly before 1910.

As part of the concept plans after the demolition of the plant, the roadway returned, as part of an alignment that saw a new entrance road from 11th Street, in lieu of the elimination of the Fletcher Road exit at Dundonald Avenue as part of the Circle Drive South project. In order to make a new roadway into the industrial park, Dudley Street was realigned at the new road, which was named Dawes Avenue. The names assigned to the area are mostly names that had been assigned to other streets that were either removed or renamed in prior years; for example, Jonathan and Barnes come from streets that had been planned for the McNab Park community, but never developed; Malouf was originally assigned to a cul-de-sac in Parkridge that was renamed something else.

The ostensible theme of the Georgics is instruction in the methods of running a farm.

Edith Clifford Williams (1885–1971) was an early pioneer in the American abstract art movement. She was part of the circle that gathered around the photographer and modern art promoter Alfred Stieglitz. She was also a long- time confidante of Hu Shih (1891–1962), who was arguably the most prominent Chinese intellectual in the first half of the 20th century. Born in Ithaca, New York, Williams—who preferred to be known as Clifford—spent most of her girlhood in New Haven, Connecticut, where her father, Henry Shaler Williams, taught geology and paleontology at Yale University. After studying with the painter John Henry Twachtman and at Yale’s School of the Fine Arts, she traveled to Europe, and was enrolled briefly at the Académie Julian in Paris. Williams’s earliest known abstract painting was entitled 1914.

Anne de Noailles was the first to greet Marie Antoinette as queen upon the death of Louis XV in 1774. When the queen reintroduced the old office of Surintendante de la Maison de la Reine and her favorite, the Princesse de Lamballe was appointed to that post, over ranking the post of dame d'honneur, Anne de Noailles resigned and was replaced by Laure-Auguste de Fitz-James, Princess de Chimay. Her resignation was well received by the queen, whose lack of respect for the court protocol prompted de Noailles to become a part of the circle of the Kings' aunts, Mesdames de France, who gathered the noble opposition of the queen in protest toward her disregard for etiquette, which had replaced rank as the prerequisite to be a member of the queen's circle with her personal affection for favorites.

To the west all four lines run to , but the routes to and the Circle and District line trains via diverge at Praed Street Junction to separate stations within the Paddington complex. Since December 2009, Circle line trains call at the station twice on each journey: initially as a through service from Hammersmith towards , then as the terminus for that same service completing the loop via (or the same journey in reverse). There are no longer through trains here between the northern part of the Circle line and its western part. Overall, Carey performed at the Tokyo Dome 9 sold-out concerts to date.

After leaving Belgium, de Man lived for years in occupied Paris seeing his mistress Lucienne Didier; with her in occupied Paris he was part of the circle surrounding Ernst Jünger, the German writer and point man for the German cultural effort to "penetrate" and purify French culture with Hitlerian ideology. However, with the advance of the Allied troops in May 1945, fearing capture, he fled to an Alpine cottage in La Clusaz, in the Haute Savoie region of France. He loathed the Soviet practices he experienced while being trained in Russia and Ukraine in the 1930s, but was convinced of the historic necessity of alliance with the Soviet Union. He may have survived the purges because of being imprisoned in Poland for illegal labor-organizing activities in 1938–39. Throughout the German occupation, Gomułka remained in Poland and was not a part of the circle organized in the Soviet Union around the Union of Polish Patriots by Stalin and Wanda Wasilewska. In Polish society of 1945, Gomułka's party was marginally small in comparison to other political groups. With the liberation of Polish territories and the failure of the Home Army's Operation Tempest in 1944, control over what was to become post-war Poland passed from the occupying forces of Nazi Germany to the Red Army, and from the Red Army to Polish communists, who formed the Polish Committee of National Liberation (Polski Komitet Wyzwolenia Narodowego, PKWN), an early government, in existence from late July 1944 in Lublin.

Hogarth may have been suggesting either that poet was showing contempt for Pope or that he placed Pope's image above his head as a model to which to aspire. In the second image, which shows Pope and Curll locked in battle, it is not clear who has the upper hand, and by the time the print was issued the direct reference to Pope had been removed completely. Ronald Paulson, the preeminent modern authority on Hogarth, suggests that Hogarth would have viewed Pope, through his Roman Catholicism, as having been implicitly tied to the continental influences that Hogarth despised, and would have seen Pope's refusal to accept the patronage of the great men of the time, while still cultivating them as friends and still reaping the rewards they had to offer, as hypocritical. Pope was part of the circle that included William Kent and Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington who had displaced Hogarth's father-in-law James Thornhill from commissions, and Hogarth also had ties to Lewis Theobald, a possible target of the satire, through illustrations he had produced for Theobald's Perseus and Andromeda, and through his subscription to Theobald's edition of the works of Shakespeare.
